1521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash surpasses the market cap of Ethereum on: November 17, 2017, 02:05:06 PM
Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, in Twitter congratulated Bitmain founder Jihan Wu and bitcoin angel investor Roger Ver on the recent success of Bitcoin Cash, particularly in the South Korean market.

How it will be to evolve in the future, what do you think?

he just made that tweet because he has been involved with bitcoin cash and had invested in it while it was low and wanted to make the most profit out of its pump.

and as you can see nothing can beat the market cap of ethereum for long because the market cap of ethereum is manipulated with the huge premine of the coin and the massive supply that it has compared to majority of the altcoins out there.
it is not a fair fight when it comes to ETH M.C.!
1522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make passive income with BTC wealth? Ideas? on: November 17, 2017, 01:56:51 PM
It is always advisable not to put all our eggs in one basket. While investing in cryptocurrency it is also good to channel our income to other investment.
I also think like you but bitcoin is a good choice in all current altcoins. No altcoins guarantees huge potential like bitcoin.

Not for traders like me. E.g BCH gave me more profit than BTC I just 2months of trading

it also took a lot of money from so many people. you know trading is like a game with two sides, one side loses and the other wins.
of course the altcoins that get pumped like BCH are always profitable but you need to be a trader to make a proper profit from these things, otherwise you are taking a lot of risk, putting yourself under a lot of stress for nothing.
1523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any research about the legalization of bitcoin? on: November 17, 2017, 01:47:28 PM
i don't know about "research" about legalizing bitcoin in a country that it already isn't legal. the number of those countries is small already (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory) but i know that there has been movements, petitions and signature gatherings and things like that to tell the government not to illegalize bitcoin.
for example a while back there was a petition in India because there were some talk about banning bitcoin and because of their petition the government never did it.
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [BTG] my Bitcoin Gold speculation on: November 16, 2017, 12:13:09 PM
I believe in bitcoingold will increase more in the future. I hope the price of bitcoin gold will increase like 1000 dollars each so we can make more profit. Bitcoincash the price is thousand dollars price and I think that happen also in bitcoingold.

why?

so far it's looked like nothing but an insult to cryptoland.

the scope might be there for a properly developed and launched gpu focused fork. this one ain't it.

premines and secret fee channelling are not going to endear it to most people.

true but none of it has ever stopped a coin from getting pumped. if it did, ethereum would have been worth $1 because of all the premine coins, bugs and million dollar hacks that keep happening to it.

so far there has been some more funny bugs with the mining in the early day for the first blocks that were mine but they were fixed.

checking out the pools it seems like hashrate has stayed up and went up a little but i can't say for sure. i am waiting for bitinfocharts.com to start their bitcoin gold page and give a proper chart so i can see what is happening. i couldn't find any other source either.
1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen in Dec ? on: November 16, 2017, 11:56:58 AM
one of the main things you need to remember in altcion investment is that you should make sure to sell your coins at some point. for example i see you have started this topic about 5 days ago, and also mention bitcoin cash. if you have bought it that day you should have sold 2 days ago on top when it was 0.4BTC per coin and got out. if you didn't and waited, you have missed the chance to sell and now price is 0.14 and falling.

as for December, i am expecting a big bitcoin rally which means we can see $8-9000 price pretty soon. and when a rise like this happens in bitcoin, you can be sure that altcoins will mostly get dumped.
*** plan accordingly.
1526  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bot- Database on: November 16, 2017, 11:47:57 AM
your only option is poloniex then. if you check out their API documentation page here: https://poloniex.com/support/api/ you can see there is a section called "returnChartData" which is giving you OHLC chart points based on your selected interval.
it supports 300, 900, 1800, 7200, 14400, and 86400 as intervals in seconds.

example (taken from the documentation):
https://poloniex.com/public?command=returnChartData&currencyPair=BTC_XMR&start=1405699200&end=9999999999&period=14400

there are other small exchanges such as bleutrade which offer the same feature but i don't think it is worth writing a API wrapper for them if you just want the chart data.
1527  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much money did Bitcoin Cash crew burn on this pump? on: November 16, 2017, 11:41:52 AM
bitcoin cash price went from 0.08BTC to 0.4BTC+ which is a 400% rise in less than 5 days. even if what you are describing here is true, those who were in on the upcoming pump made at least 300% profit from buying bitcoin cash before they started pumping it. in other words they made money not lose money.

additionally this bitcoin cash pump was clearly speculated before it happened by everyone. it was not a secret pump really. we all knew because of SegWit2x, bitcoin cash will be pumped one way or another. and it did.
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wake up before it is too late on: November 15, 2017, 02:02:10 PM
"bitcoin is one of the biggest potential to make us become rich in quick time"

Bitcoin is indeed a get-rich-quick-scheme.

there are always idiots who use things in a different/wrong way than they should be using them, that doesn't make those things wrong. it makes their usage wrong.

i saw someone kill with a kitchen knife, does that mean you are a murderer because you have kitchen knives at home? Wink
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wats the future of BTG on: November 15, 2017, 01:39:01 PM
you have made a dangerous investment my friend. mainly because of two things: 1. you say you "heavily" invested 2. bad timing.

i have said before that in long term because of mining, BTG can gain some good traction and come to the top of the lists with a nice sustaining pump.
but it is a risky move to go in big time, specially now that the mining was started recently and many bitcoin holders will start dumping their BTG as the blocks start to be mined. that means possibility of a big drop. based on this, your timing was bad.
1530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum: Which is the Future Cryptocurrency on: November 15, 2017, 01:24:28 PM
since ethereum is not even a currency and also because it has lots and lots of issues which are countless to be honest, i say ETH has no chance in the future. it will actually die pretty soon instead of having any chance to grow to be anything at all.
all the hacks, the centralization, inability to sync your wallet, bloated blockchain, exploits, ...

the smart contracts that you recently found out about and think is the best thing, is being used the worst way possible by ethereum platform! the other competing projects use it so much better and easier. in way that you can create one without having much knowledge and at a much cheaper price.
1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wake up before it is too late on: November 15, 2017, 01:17:42 PM
for a very long time which is nearly 9 years now, bitcoin had no issues, empty mempool and low fees even as low as 0 satoshis. and you were nowhere to be seen.
then this year, because of massive adoption that bitcoin had (adoption as a currency) the number of transactions suddenly grew too big and there was also the fight to take control of bitcoin was hot. so for about a month or so the spam attack was sever and  fees were high.

things were fine for a couple of months ever since that pre-August fights until for the past 3-4 days because of mining issues caused by bitcoin cash the mempool were big and fees grew two big.

you are using these two small incidents as your only point of reference and claiming bitcoin is not a currency!

either you are a fool or this is the only other explanation:
So in other words you’ve missed out and you’re bitter?
1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A very serious question for Bitcoin expert! please help out on: November 15, 2017, 01:03:36 PM
you can actually start using bitcoin as a currency and see what a decentralized psedu-anonymous cryptocurrency looks like in action. you can also check out some of the altcoin projects without paying any attention to their price and just the project (features for example, difference from bitcoin,...) and enjoy the technology.

if that was not enough you could always check out services like Gyft and buy giftcards for places such as Amazon. you may also find cheaper options from time to time to save more money.
1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple: A long term investment or short term? on: November 12, 2017, 01:03:40 PM
ripple is not known to rise slowly or in long term. there has never been any solid rise ever in XRP. instead it has a week of shining in the market when it gets pumped and then it is all downward spiral from there.
so try to think of it more as a short term investment during the pumps or mini pumps.

4. A number of approximately 80 banks are testing Ripple technology

i highlighted the important part!
that is like saying countries like India, Dubai,... have adopted bitcoin because they have released a coin of their own based on blockchain technology!
1534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap and denial of reality on: November 12, 2017, 12:53:03 PM
there are about 50 different exchanges having bitcoin cash market for trading, price of BCH in all of them is currently in the range of $1500 approximately but Bithumb price for BCH is $2500 and that is not a small difference. it is about 1.5 times more price. that can not be normal! and there is no "reality" to it.

i don't know why it is like this but Korean exchanges are known to be shady. possibly a lot of fake stuff is going on there.
1535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Big Showdown - BTC vs BCH on: November 12, 2017, 12:46:02 PM
it has already set us back a couple of years. the 150K+ unconfirmed transactions, slow blocks and high fees are all damages that bitcoin is talking. and the longer things stay like this, the less reliable bitcoin will become as a currency. and in the end nobody is a winner here except the altcoins.
for now their win is them getting pumped during these fights. but if they continue like this, it opens up a lot of room for an altcoin to swoop in and put an end to all the nonsense. most probably a decentralized one not the top 10 which are heavily centralized.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen if Bitcoin Gold (BTG) goes live? on: November 12, 2017, 12:38:34 PM
i still have my long term speculation about bitcoin gold and i am sticking to it. i do believe because of the mineability of it and all the miners hype, it can have nice rallies with good prices in the long run.

but in short term when the coin is actually released the rest of those who have not yet claimed their tokens will do it and start selling. even if not that many sell, but if the market expects them to, the price will crash after the release.
specially because of the premine it has not much of a chance now. but premine never stopped ETH from pumping, why should it stop BTG?
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash? on: November 12, 2017, 12:33:27 PM
there is an altcoin pump going on, that is what Smiley

these days different types of attacks are happening against bitcoin. it is not just media attacks calling bitcoin fraud publicly to scare people anymore. it is the new way of attacking. the hashrate attack.
when the pump of bitcoin cash happens, it becomes more and more profitable to mine it. the miners switch and the panic follows. the FUD certainly doesn't help either.

just try to not fall for it long term. beware of the pump and know when to sell BCH if you don't want to become bag holders.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: explanation of BCH on: November 11, 2017, 01:04:31 PM
this was a planned pump for bitcoin cash. they even warned about it and that made things easier. back when the SegWit was being activated through NYA agreement in August they said they will switch to bitcoin cash if the 2 MB had fork didn't happen and that is now causing some pump.

lots of speculation around which is also leading to all the FOMO buys and are making the pump even bigger and forming a much bigger bubble now. and the funny thing is, when the bubbles become big like this and they attract a lot of attention, they become even bigger since new investors come in and start FOMO buying.
1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCC exchange to BTC on: November 11, 2017, 12:50:19 PM
in order to exchange one cryptocurrency with another one you need to find someone else to do the exchange with.

- usually people use platforms such as exchanges to find that someone else to do the trade the easiest way.

- you can always find someone on other more peer to peer platforms like forums, other social media and do the trade but at a higher and different kind of risk. which is where escrows come in. you can also use multi signature features for this.

- and finally the newest and most awesome way is to use Atomic Swap. it is a form of smart contract between two peers completely decentralized and without needing any kind of weird platform or anything like that. it is just a side channel. here is the concept:

both bitcoin and bitcoin cash are capable of doing this.
unfortunately i don't have more information that this to share but you can read more here:

1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash - What is the future bitcoin on: November 11, 2017, 12:35:25 PM
and the developers have said Bitcoin Cash 'aligns with their views'.
what the hell are you talking about? who are these developers? Roger Ver and Jihan Wu?

Quote
... and bitcoin.com has gone only to bitcoin cash
bitcoin.com (owned by  Roger Ver) was always on bitcoin cash.

Quote
What is the future bitcoin ??
nothing about bitcoin has changed. it is still on the same path as it was before. path of more adoption and more growth. with SegWit adoption growing we are starting to have bigger blocks too. i have seen 1.5 MB blocks and that will only grow bigger and we have better scaling but slowly.

Quote
however bitcoin cash is fast and cheap and people may start using Bitcoin cash over bitcoin.
lots of other altcoins are much faster and much cheaper to use, if people wanted to "use" an altcoin because of these two features they would have done it already

Quote
Bitcoin has dropped ~10% in the last day, I feel this is good because it has settles down at the 6700 mark for correction, on the other hand, bitcoin cash has raised ~40% !!
not the first time bitcoin drops and 10% falls under the category of tiny drops of bitcoin. we have had record for 40% drop even in short term.

and lost of other altcoins have been raised more than 200% in the same period of time but that doesn't make them "viable"

Quote
I was all along saying to myself, if the price went in the $6k range, I would purchase a small amount more, however bitcoin cash is doing well, what should I do ?
you seem to praise bitcoin cash a lot, and if you do believe half the things you already said, then you should sell bitcoin and buy bitcoin cash with all your money and hold it and not sell BCH after it reached the top. but i am guessing you wouldn't do that, you will dump it faster than you made this topic Wink

Quote
I own bitcoin but none of bitcoin cash, are people here still buying bitcoin or is bitcoin cash the way forward ?
BCH is not the way to anything but i have invested in it like i have invested in a lot of other altcoins throughout the years. it is all about the profit that i can make on my bitcoins which i HODL.
