1521  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: November 02, 2020, 10:13:52 PM
This pandemic brought so much headache to each one of us. There were a lot of negative effects in every sector of each countries. Majority of the businesses, companies, establishments, and corporations were forced to close down.

On the other hand, these unfortunate events brought an opportunity for the e-commerce industry.  Because of safety protocols given in different localities, people were forced to limit going outside and just stay home as much as they can. This results to people using digital mode of payment in transactions. Online businesses boomed and it was evident more people started patronizing these online shops and apps compared to rate of users prior the pandemic.

This pandemic paved way for wider users of digital platforms. Long before, digital transactions are already a thing, but i believe, this pandemic indeed pushed the society to adapt and catch up to the modern ways today (at least here in our country). Usage of online banking apps increased, the use of beep cards and cash cards on local supermarkets were slowly introduced for safety reasons.
Well there's always to sides of coin , but for us who literally doing things digitally since long time ago .. it feels like a blessing, an unexpected a lot benefit for us and we love to see it.
The protocol to better stay at home indeed pushing people to know more how things could be done digitally , it's just increasing the number of advanced technology awareness, especially in this case it's the decentralized finance usage.

They are getting close to fully understand how cryptocurrency works, how bitcoin works. That's indeed a good news!

Even those people who are hesitant to use the digital technology are giving their effort to learn. This is in order to avoid going outside and mingle with people for something that they can avoid if they will use the digital tech. A lot of delivery systems are now going cashless. A move to avoid the usage of cash, as identified as one possible sources of transfer of virus. Better be safe than sorry. There's nothing wrong in learning new things rather than open yourself to vulnerability.
1522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 02, 2020, 06:31:43 PM
This is one of the major topics that is never covered here (or maybe I haven't seen any such threads related to this).

Deciding Units

I have seen many people getting confused about units and how to set it. Well, I've got a simple formulae here - just divide your bankroll by 100 and you'll get your 1 unit cost. Means, if you have $100, you should bet no more than $1 per bet doesn't matter you win or lose. This will give you 100 bets in total with 100 units available to play with.
Money management skills are what separate successful gamblers and traders from those that are long term losers, lets suppose you have a way to make money with sports bets, well all of that does not matter if you bet half of your capital on each game as you only need two losses in a row to go bankrupt, but if you only bet 1% of your capital on each one of your bets the chances that you lose 100 times in a row are incredibly low, so even if you have a streak of bad luck you can always recover.

Nice analogy and actually true. You can extend the life of your $100 and even earn more if you know how to strategize your bets. But if you go big in your bets, losing all your money will be fast and easy. Also, in sports betting, it is better to stick with the sports that you are really familiar of. The more you know the sport, the higher the chance that you will bet right.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] $PCKF PEACOCK FINANCE DEFI - PEACOCK SWAP - on: November 02, 2020, 12:05:18 PM
According to your roadmap there will be 3 consecutive Pre-Sales of PCK from 29th of October to December 8, 2020. I hope you're not just focusing on the Pre-sale, could you tell us what will be your other plans within those time frame?

It is better to think about why the team members have not yet been published, there are no terms and conditions, and the whitepaper contains a large number of errors (Peacok, metamax wallets, Route map, etc ). But the most confusing thing is a very small hard cap, only $ 60,000. After all, this amount can be covered by several average investors interested in the project.

It may give the impression that after getting such amount, we don't know if the project will still push thru or the team will run away with whatever they collect. As they seemed to be a rush project, they have no time to review their whitepaper. Sometimes you will see how much effort they put into the project by how they articulate their whitepaper and should have no spelling errors at least. I bet this one is one of the short-lived DeFis out there.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggest the best strategy on: November 01, 2020, 11:45:55 PM
Are you betting on a sport that you are really familiar of? Because the chance of winning is contributed by how well you know the teams involved, the players and their capabilities. Assuming you know that particular sport, for me, bet what you can afford to lose so you are not expecting anything big that will come out of it. In time, you will know what strategy will work for you but subscribing to paid groups, I don't think it will be of your advantage. You may spend money on them but still will not get the results you wanted.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Inoue vs. Moloney - October 31 on: November 01, 2020, 10:41:19 PM
So we need to wait for Inoue to fight Casimero? What if he goes for Casimero fight and then wait it out for the the winner of Oubaali-Doniare for the WBC? Or he thinks that he can easily beat either of the two? He already beaten Donaire though. Or is he afraid that Casimero might derail his plans that's why he is not the priority? And what if Casimero goes for another opponent again instead of waiting for Inoue?

I think it's better for Inoue to really go after Casimero because they already have a scheduled fight already, delaying it might give the impression that he is ducking John Riel for good.

I believe Inoue is not ducking Casimero, but I will give him until next year,  if he still would not fight Casimero despite calling him all the time, then I might convince myself to believe that he is really ducking Casimero.

Casimero is at his prime now but he is older than Inoue, so he might just wait until Casimero get's older and take the fight, who knows.

But anyway, both are doing a great job as they destroy their respective opponents, but big fight should be given to the fans who are longing for this.

If a lot will ask for Inoue-Casimero and they see that this will be crowd's favourite to see, the promoters will arrange that earlier. After all, they want big payday in this sport. These promoters I guess are already cooking the Inoue-Casimero fight and gauging if it can really attract huge audience. Also, it seems that Inoue  is expecting to fight Donaire again, if he wins in that match with Oubaali? Anyway, their previous match is a good one so maybe he wants another take on Donaire.

I saw that this project is running the sig campaign. Is the account part of the official team of this project [ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2873303 ] He only posted the campaign and then, not clarifying any questions from the posters on this thread. So I wonder if he is truly part of this project? There is no announcement from this thread also regarding this current campaign.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: November 01, 2020, 10:24:01 AM
Many were get into gambling because they neglected to see the risk behind because they are much focusing on winning which is only at 50/50 chances. I don't get mad at those who think that way because it was their choice. Besides, too many times that they suffered losses but then, they still come back and lose again. It never changes their mind because of one reason, and that is to win the jackpot.

If those people only focused on winning, I am sure that they will be disappointed because winning in the gambling games will not easy. That can make them confuse and curious if they lose their money. We can not blame people who think like that because they are free to think that, and we can only let them get that experience, so they can realize that it is difficult to win the gambling games. If they can learn from that lesson, I am sure that they will realize that spending too much money on gambling will not worth the risk.
Winning mindset is not enough in gambling because there is no such thing safe in the gambling industry, yes you can easily double your funds if you are too lucky but you can also lose it in just once if you did a bad bet. Sports betting is not just about luck, there are skills needed to it in order to be profitable but there is no such 100% win rate there because we are dealing with probabilities and a lot of unexpected scenarios that may happen. The risks are too high in gambling but we can manage it especially when it comes to the right amount that should be bet or use in playing some gambling games. There are a lot of people who suffered huge losses in gambling not just because they are unlucky but because of their poor risk management.
Playing gambling is very unpredictable. Maybe today you may experience winning streaks but tomorrow you may experience lose streaks. It's not about how long you are playing, it's not about how big is your bet or how strategic you are, it's all about fate and luck because when you play there always fifty fifty chances of winning and you can never be sure of it.

Actually it’s not fifty-fifty , with considering the house edge they may have it the chance of losing increases with that of over winning it. That is where our losing will be more generally than winning and as well if you play longer, than chances of winning gets reduced over losing it. But for those who enjoys their game and have a fun in gambling then it would not be much worry as they will stop after a certain time as against addicted gambler.

If you are into gambling, don't expect that you will win every time you will bet. Always, on the conservative side and that means, you are ready to accept the results, whether you lose or you win. And yes, with house edge, their advantage is on the casino. And also, in terms of bets, there's really no safe bets in my opinion, only higher chance of winning if you know the sport by heart. But still you have no 100% assurance that you will win the game.

What is the guarantee that you will indeed implement your mission to be this one of the collaterized lending platforms? Do you have final collab with Chainlink regarding this venture? As you mentioned, you will integrate chainlink in this section of business. Do you need some sort of go signal from them or you can use their platform without asking permission? Please enlighten us here.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: October 31, 2020, 07:57:29 PM
Who knows that maybe one day this dream match will come true, Just like the Mcgregor and Mayweather fight but one thing that’s really sure its just for the money. The world already witnessed how great they are in there passion, there’s nothing to prove between both of them.

Definitely, the promoters of this match will only be after for the money, even the fighter themselves will allocate the money received as per their own agendas. They are popular at their own sport but fighting inside the ring using the rule of boxing is somehow unfair to one fighter. So yeah, this is just for the money and fame, nothing more.
1530  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DEGO - The hunters were deceived. on: October 31, 2020, 06:09:04 AM
bounty hunters seem disrespected for their efforts, Bounty Hunter has been working for months and not getting satisfactory results? but that also happened to other projects before DEGO appear

A lot of them actually. Lucky for DEGO hunters because they have the chance to claim their rewards, but other projects, not even a glimpse of their tokens or coins. This is the reason why you should carefully choose the projects that you will promote. Don't be attracted by huge rewards, because the value of it in reality may only be few bucks. Because once listed, the price tend to go down so fast and before you got your share, the price is already at rock bottom. Look for projects that have actual products/services in place already. They have higher chance to maintain their market price.
1531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 myths about crypto trading tools on: October 30, 2020, 11:47:47 PM
It depends on how traders will use those:

1. Stop-loss won't be an advisable thing to do if it's not effective in the first place. If used properly, can be a big help.

2. Fundamentals and technical analysis are really a must but that doesn't mean traders have to always rely on that. It's like one of the best ingredients to make a perfect dish.

3. Take profit, like stop-loss, also need to be used properly.

Overall, these aren't myths but a good method.

Good methods that are useful when optimized properly. It also depends on the skill level of the trader. Those factors are important in their own ways and may help the trader in different circumstances. The situation of traders vary from one another. So it is how he will apply those skills and knowledge to attack his trading activities.
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Death during illegal cockfighting raid on: October 30, 2020, 09:01:12 PM

Warning is not enough to the offender since even if you warn them they will just monitor the cops and play once they are out on the vicinity that's why there are surprise raids since even if there's a pandemic the illegal cock fighting still going on secluded places or slum areas.

They should be given a lesson and this is by filing a charges and putting them in prison because they are violating a lot of laws about quarantine, once they put these violators in prison  many will learned their lesson, it's time to be strict on this matters now that there is a policeman that's been killed.

Not only that there were no timely backup and even the officers were not well educated regarding the first aid . This way very easily preventable.

First of all:
This is animal abuse, it should be banned in the first place. Even if people are doing it illegally one should inform the police in advance.
Now secondly:
If the femoral artery was cut why weren't other officers trained well enough to just use compression to stop bleeding, literally! This is horrible.
Now thirdly:
Please refrain for any such activities, it is horrible and should be banned 🚫 forever using better strategies and making sure that these people are interrogated well enough to find the whole web.

Cockfighting has already been in their culture so you can't eradicate this game. There are some legal cockfights also, but this one definitely was illegally held. Now, I can't also fathom why the officer bled to death without any help? This should have been stopped even at the site of accident. No one, just literally no one knows basic first aid? Even police personnel undergoes first aid training. So I don't really know why this unfortunate situation happened?

"ANOTHER ONE"

After a long week of wrapping up deals and speaking with new business partners, Elitium proudly announced the latest edition to our partner board: GDA Capital.

Some of you may have heard of them, notably Michael from MLG Blockchain. They have been focusing on assisting early-stage projects since 2016 and have led the success in many of their partnerships.

What does this partnership include for Elitium?

To summarize, here's how we both parties plan to leverage the tie-up in the coming months:

- Add human resources, grow Elitium's network, and deepen industry expertise
- Access a broad family office network and speak at industry events
- Focus on expanding in North America and Canada
- Build relationships with the world's leading crypto exchanges

-

This is great news for those who are following this project. So maybe when the gda.capital update their list of partners, Elitium will be included in the list here -

Expanding your operations is really vital in the continuity of the your platform. Also, the more partnerships you will closed, the better for your project to thrive in crypto business.
1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get scammed with shitcoin investing _ step guide! on: October 29, 2020, 11:49:39 PM
Before paying attention to the 10 guidelines that the OP calls, I first look at the Innovation of the project, use cases, products, and how important the project is in the future. Scam projects can be identified with fake teams, plagiarism whitepapers, or content that copied previous projects. Scammers usually promote their projects by promising multiple returns on investment or does not make sense. and only gullible people become victims.

I agree with the above statement. Technical details we can look simultaneously but for me, the important is - do they really have use case to implement or just using some sort of front to attract buyers? Because you will know if their concept is viable and ready to implement, when you check their whitepaper and their plans how to execute it. Actually, it is better to invest if they already have the working platform with users on board not just only in beta stage of their product. Many can create well-written whitepaper but in terms of implementation, they are very poor. Once they raised funds, expect that the team will avoid development questions and will just give promising talks about their real product. Not very many can actually make their platform a reality and working.
1535  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Bitpr0.com | The Ultimate Crypto Directory on: October 29, 2020, 09:59:22 PM
It is good to have site like this, but I think it can be a bit confusing to have the 0 instead of the o in bitpr0.com
On the gamble section, I see various sites, also some unknown sites (at least for me). Which one do you recommend?

I think using 0 instead of o is like creating their own identity, in my opinion. And they can't use the bitpro.com domain also as it is parked and registered since 2002, expires in 2025 according to whois (https://www.whois.com/whois/bitpro.com).

On the note of gambling sites, I think it is better to test it for yourself. But better if you will check the sites that have good reputation in the forum. You will find out that when you roam around this gambling board.

1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Inoue vs. Moloney - October 31 on: October 29, 2020, 09:10:05 AM
Waiting for Inoue -Casimero...

Just read an article where Inoue said that he want to fight Casimero after he defeated Moloney, seems to me that the antics of Casimero is working and he is now under the skin of Inoue. But of course this Casimero vs Inoue fight would still need the nod of Bob Arum which i hope he will.

Great news! Casimero should be happy now and will be preparing for that fight but I hope Inoue will also prepare for his coming fight so he can defeat his opponent in a convincing way like Casimero did to his.

That's what we wanted to see in fight thing, Inoue destroying Moloney and then sends a message to Casimero's team that he is not afraid to fight because that's what Casimero's camp is telling the boxing world. And it seems that Casimero really got under the skin of Inoue that's why he is eager to fight the Filipino.

Just a few days from now and we will find it out and wait straight from Inoue that he is targeting Casimero for next year and we hope that boxing managers are going to set it up.

If that will push thru, curious what will be the odds for Inoue - Casimero. Can Inoue really follow the path of Pacquiao?

https://sports.yahoo.com/power-puncher-naoya-inoue-following-manny-pacquiaos-path-to-boxing-glory-190952608.html

But before anything else, let's watch what's gonna happen inside the ring between Inoue and Moloney few days from now.

Yearn finance is a blockbuster project, where most of these newly-created DeFis are copying their names from. And now, they attached the other popular platform NEO. They are really not running out of ideas where to copy their seemingly-crap DeFi project.

Hi upon checking the contents of your whitepaper, almost all of its parts (including the roadmap) were copied and plagiarized from YFDOT.FINANCE's information posted on their medium. Should you ignore my reply, I will be compelled to create a scam accusation against the project. Kindly check the reference below, thanks.
-

Also curious here, is YFDOT.FINANCE project an original DeFi project. Sorry lost track of these DeFis, so I don't know who is copying who and who are the original players. Maybe YFDOT also copied from someone else's project.  Tongue
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: October 28, 2020, 10:46:30 PM
In the previous bitcoin price rise it didn't but right now it did somewhat affect my gameplay. I had to slightly reduce my bet size not only because of the price but whenever these rise happens the transaction fees and confirmations becomes more costly as the mempool becomes flooded with so many transactions. And I always deposit the smallest amount possible so I don't end up playing way too aggressive.

Really expensive these days, that's why those casinos which are accepting other alts like doge is very handy to some players. Since I'm not really a regular gambler, this rise doesn't affect much on my side. As I only gamble when I do have extra, so for me, when I allot that money, I already consider it as loss.
1540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: HEX - First Blockchain Certificate of Deposit - DeFi on: October 28, 2020, 09:47:57 PM
HEX rewards stakers, locking up your coins for years, which reduces sell pressure

Except when they release the tokens + profit, sell pressure will be huge. I wonder what will happen.

Their big payday is coming. And the numbers are saying there are a lot of hex stakers here? Really curious what will be their price once they hit in exchanges, after months of months of waiting. Are they going to get profits from this? Checking the approx. price of HEX in uniswap, you will get 1 eth for having 43k HEX. Is that profitable from those who bought this early?
