Well, thank you all for the info. Is Mt.Gox keeping people up to date on this situation in a timely manner? Where?

If you ask about the status of your USD wire withdraw, you might get something like this reply:

I've contacted MTGox support yesterday asking about the status of my bending USD wire withdraw. Here is the response I've just received:

#######################################
Thank you for contacting us regarding your withdrawal request.
Due to a change in our banking system we are currently experiencing a back-log of withdrawals that we need to process.
Our team is working hard to increase transaction speeds, but there is approximately a few-week back-log we need to overcome.
It will take a few weeks to get back to normal, and we thank you for your patience during this time.
Again, we apologize for the delay and we will contact you once your withdrawal has been processed.
#######################################

Will keep you posted!

"offline" means your bitcoins are stored on a wallet that never touches the internet. you create an address on a permanently offline computer, and you store bitcoins in that address. that way, the computer cannot send your coins out if it is hacked.

if you need to spend btc, then you can import the priv key and make a new offline wallet when you are done.

there is no such thing as "offline" bitcoins, all btc are stored in the blockchain, which is online. offline refers to where the wallet holding the addresses is stored only.

Ok. So walk me through the steps. What am I missing?

I create a wallet on Multi Bit. I send my bitcoins to it. I then make the computer that has multi bit offline? Is that what I do?

1 Create bootable Ubuntu CD
2 Download bitaddress.org html to USB stick
3 Remove HDDs + any internet connection from your comp
4 Boot from Ubuntu CD
5 Create and print address+priv key from your USB stick page (OFFLINE !) Do not use printer with internal HDD ! Use small cheap printer !
6 Remove Cd + destroy USB stick + CD
7 Send BTC to your address, never reveal priv key
8 If you need to spend later, import priv key to blockchain.info or any other wallet

It is really unreachable milestone  Wink
1531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first steps into the world of BTC on: September 16, 2013, 09:34:06 PM
I've got a few ads up and have made myself a small amount of money but after that first dollar I was hooked. Bitcoins fascinate me and the rush i got from starting my own (again, TINY) business and seeing my first profit is at the very least as good as any feeling I've ever had.

Welcome, nice here is someone who just dont buy some BTC with only intention to sell back for profit if he gets lucky
1532  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: September 16, 2013, 09:22:25 PM
Last time I played seriously was

Elite 1984? It looks like Space Invaders or Asteroids, but apparently it's a space sim like FTL? I have to try it in my free time Smiley
try freelancer it`s a good game and it is similar to this one.way better than FTl  Wink

I played Freelancer, very good game. Better than Privateer 2. But all these games have bad graphics for today standards
1533  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 12, 2013, 08:03:00 AM
Update from OP

75 198 days of Jalapenos to ship  [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
175 299 Days of Little Singles   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
257 404 days of Singles   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
311430 days of Mini-rig orders.   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]

So that's a reduction of 513 "order days per capita" that he has reduced the goal by.

So if I order Jalapeno today I will receive it in 75 days, do I understand this correctly ?

Any pre buble time is okay I guess.
