Is this real news? Btw i think its not. Because if they had millions of usd worth of btc dumped on them, then that means people bought nubits. which is good. i think you are making FUD.
Yep, they had millions worth of BTC dumped on them. That means that when BTC went from 300 to 200, they held BTC and lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in value. If people try to get out of NuBits now, then they will suddenly find that there is not enough BTC to cover the bought NuBits at this lower price. Suddenly the buy wall will disappear and your NuBits will be worthless. The only way you can have a safe peg is if the collateral is locked on the blockchain where you can see it and evaluate the risk! I'm absolutely making FUD, yes. But until there is cryptographic proof that NuBits' "trusted" custodians are solvent, then my FUD is true. NuBits is operating as a fractional reserve. is there proof that they are insolvent tho? Of course not. This person does not even understand what "true" means. It is also a huge turn off seeing all this FUD coming out of Bitshares. Some of their holders are acting like a second rate anoncoin, unprofessional, childish, and unappealing for serious investors. so there's no proof. delete this thread. So when / where are NuBits custodians going to publish proof of solvency? The burden of proof is on them, considering they are the only ones with access to that information. then i suggest opening a thread in the nubits forum and post it here at btt also. this thread is obviously a bitshares shill.

Thought that might get your attention, Here is a little snapshot of the current feeling of the AltCoin market AltCoin section has been going wild lately and I noticed I end up posting on a lot of the Scam threads but then again, out of the top 40 threads, 25% of them are claiming something is a scam. The next most popular category of threads are about daytrading and pump and dumps, attacking Coins followed by how to make Coins, getting into new projects and last but not least a couple informative threads. I guess this means as in popular media, negative attention attracts more interest. I remember January of last year it was very quiet compared to this, what do you guys think about this? What do you think the AltCoin section look like 1 year from now? is 2015 the year of the Scam Thread? yeah. that's cos a lot of people were scammed and were tricked into buying/holding pump and dump coins. there was a time when a person could make thousands of usd a night trading coins that were pumped and then dumping at the right time. now these army of bag holders are making it their hobby to call everything a scam, even the legit projects. but i don't blame them. it's not like their rich and have the money to lose... i bet some of them even "invested" their hard earned life savings. it sucks but that's life. the predator and the prey.

The next ATH shouldn't be predicted now but will make so many well off and will be a freak out point all across the world. he probably did. and maybe bought some at +500 too. i would be mad too.

I'd say step up and stop being a bitch and put some of your money where you think it'll make the most for you. Ok, that was a mouthful. If I was a newer onlooker, I'd note that the bear market that has happened for so long is either over or almost there so the turn around time is closer than say, if you bought in 3-4 months ago. Think about that for a moment. Sideways and up is on the way so the safety net is pretty much intact and you're certainly not exposed to what many where for the last year. The winning road is from here on out. Come back in due time and ask me for one of my addresses so that you can tip me for your good fortunes. I'm happy being your bar tender of wealth.
how funny would it be if you were really gordon ramsay. in all seriousness.. the people were given something in bitcoin. a little more freedom, wealth and empowerment. if bitcoin fails then let another crypto take its place. preferably a grass roots, asic proof POW crypto that can be mined by ordinary people. look at bittorrent. they can't stop file sharing anymore. pretty sure cryptocurrencies will reach that level too. who cares if they have low fiat value. the important thing is they're there.

I have been re attracted to altcoin technologies after maybe 8 years. I find that unlikely. Exactly the same thing I was going to say. You can tell which ones of us have been around for a while. Perhaps he was indeed mining Timecoin back in 2007 with a Flux Capacitor Powered Pentium D. ~BCX~ PS Good to see you didn't meet Death and are still alive paying Taxes!LOOOOL

I was mining the hell out of Feathercoin about a month ago, but the price has gone down to where it's not nearly as profitable as before. Now I'm speculating by mining newer coins.
as a miner, you might find BURST interesting with POC (proof of capacity).

A year or so ago, I remember bitcoin being above $1000, the Guardian ran many positive stories. It seemed every day bitcoin had a positive spin - bitcoin million dollar thumbdrive found, bitcoin beer sold, bitcoin hoarded by Chinese. I mentioned the obvious fact - that bitcoin was a (pointlessly) elaborate Ponzi scheme, whose obfuscations and complexities only served to mask the extremely obvious truth - the vast majority of bitcoin is valued 1 cent or lower, and the only job of the founders (Ponzi leaders) is to in entice new users (dumb money) into the bottom of the Ponzi pyramid. It does't matter at what point the dumb money came in - $1 or $1000, to the tip of the pyramid it's pure profit, even if they manage to liquidate only a few bitcoin to actual money (a difficult task even in the most stable periods) they would reap pure profit and the dumb money would instantly (I mean instantly) become permanent bagholders (once a ponzi begins unraveling, the momentum is always down). When I pointed out the simple truth (truth is always simple, unlike fraudulent bitcoin) of the ponzi scheme, I was shouted down by waves of scheming pump boilers. They all came out of the woodwork at once. "You don't understand X" "The protocol means Y" "Satoshi and Ayn Rand told me Z" on and on and on. Wow, I was shocked, I'd never seen such coordinated efforts to boil up a price. I only hope that those guys were near the original buy in, otherwise they became suicidally trapped bagholders. $300? $500? $1200? Who knows the depth of their ruination. Moral of the story - to the founders, congratulations, you defrauded, and continue to defraud, tens of thousands of people who I'm sure thought they were very clever and ahead of the game (usually the dumbest people in the room). And to the bagholders - I won't say it's not too late, because at this point liquidating any bitcoin volume in any meaningful significance will lock up the remaining "market" and lead to an instant crash or more likely simply the termination of "market" function in totality. But you can resolve today to put your savings in actual assets valued in actual money, money backed by hundreds of trillions of physical assets, enforcement agencies, and transparent, fraud resisting systems that are continuously improved day by day. You've been victimized, but you can learn from your mistakes and make sure other friends and family are not defrauded by cyber criminals and ponzi pumpers. Cheers! Nice first post, congrats LOL me too. Seriously, what is the point of creating newbie accounts to attack bitcoin? Are these people getting paid or something? If I had a bitcoin for every ponzi post in the gambling section and every FUD post here, I'd be rich. he prolly was loosing money and finally sold at a loss. now that he's out, he wants btc to fail and thinks starting threads here, talking about how bad btc is will do it. LOL

Wanted to make a quick buck? Thought you found the short-cut to endless riches? Serves you right bitch, the punishment is only proportional to your greed and the damage done to Bitcoin by the bubble you derps caused.
Back at the day when I was new to bitcoins you could buy them at about 6$ per coin, wish I could travel back in time and slap myself on the head and invest all I can gather into them.
derp PWNAGE.... lol OP, crawling back to your mom's hole is still an option.
