Bad photoshop

Philomath is located in Oregon.  We call it 'pile of meth' due to the crazy amount of tweakers there.

Wanted to make a quick buck? Thought you found the short-cut to endless riches? Serves you right bitch, the punishment is only proportional to your greed and the damage done to Bitcoin by the bubble you derps caused.

Back at the day when I was new to bitcoins you could buy them at about 6$ per coin, wish I could travel back in time and slap myself on the head and invest all I can gather into them.

derp

PWNAGE.... lol OP, crawling back to your mom's hole is still an option.

Yes this is the point, but like Andreas said:
"Bitcoin will survive the banking regulators and oppressive governments. The converse however is unlikely."
"Most people are yet to understand how disruptive the Bitcoin technology really is." - at this point I think the govs already understand it and will do everything possible to not let bitcoin to be understand it by masses.
"Bitcoin is global, decentralized and unstoppable. Let govt try, it will be hilarious to watch." - like this case is hilarious...

exactly like peer to peer, decentralized file sharing.

15388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New US Gov evidence links Mark Karpeles to Silk Road. Do you think he's guilty? on: January 17, 2015, 04:08:59 PM

I don't think he looks in the mirror very often by virtue of his weight and his ethics/morals. You'd think at some point you'd realize your wrongdoing and/or get yourself a membership at a gym and find the nearest treadmill and make it your friend for a year. It's like he's been on a diet of double cheeseburgers and chili fries for years all the while trying to get back at people for being bullied as a youngster. I'd be surprised if he can lose any weight after what he's done the last few years to others' financial aspects. Unless, he's worried about prosecution and spending eternity w/ the big boy gang inside the big house would he be scared shitless and having no appetite whatsoever.

to be fair his delts look decent for a fat guy when he flexes them.  look...
15389  Economy / Speculation / Re: What the value of Bitcoin is going down? When would it be back up? on: January 17, 2015, 04:03:22 PM
i want to know if anyone can answer a few questions with complete details please?

What the value of Bitcoin is going down?

you mean the bottom?  who knows.

Quote
When would it be back up?

no one can really answer that.  but hopefully soon.

Quote
Would it ever goes about up like 2012 at $1,000?

anything is possible. yes, hopefully.

What's really going on with bitcoin?

the bubble burst even more.
15390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adam Guerbuez claims some very big news is coming for Bitcoin this friday on: January 17, 2015, 03:59:41 PM
He did not make a fortune... If there was a huge dump then maybe you could say that but nothing really happened.

My guess he speculated some announcement would come and wanted to get credit like he did with bitstamp. When it didn't happen it was suddenly a ploy.

did you create this account just to post this. If so nice tey Adam

I would bet a troll like Adam already has multiple accounts here...

And it doesn't present him in a better light. If he at least made money from this nonsense its one thing, but just trolling for no reason is another..

Judging by this tweet https://twitter.com/AdamGuerbuez/status/556425521278779392

I would bet in reality he closed his long at 192 at a loss. Trying to pretend he made money or that whatever he said had any affect on the market.

this is plausible.
15391  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of Bitcoin, if it succeeds on: January 17, 2015, 03:56:29 PM
There is a lot of talk about at what price BTC is supposed to be. This statements are mostly based on the past price of BTC.
E.g. "It can't be 1000 USD/BTC today since it was just 130 USD/BTC 2 years ago"
I think, that is a pretty bad way to look at it.
The best way, I can think of, is what has the price to be, when a certain amount of people use it. Imagine in 10 years 100 Million people worldwide are using Bitcoin in some way(I don't want to discuss, if that is a good estimate, since the title of the topic is "if it succeeds"). Looking at the current market cap of ~$ 3 billion, that is just not enough. That means that everybody can just use an equivalent of average 30 USD.
Any other suggestions on how to determine a good price?

You see .. that's the issue mate , everyone look at the price and they  want to get rich between night & another just like that .
which is wrong ... a good price isn't what makes us rich but it's stable price . Let's say ~300$ for three months . that's stable then it's good . even if it was 1$ .
Most of people don't give a shit about Bitcoin being annonymus or fast or without fees they just want to become rich. *facepalm*
that's my opinion Grin

Good and a stable price of 1million USD/btc

now that would be pretty awesome.

i wonder how satoshi plans to sell his btc.
15393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm fucking out. bitcoin will be over soon..confirmed. on: January 17, 2015, 01:26:17 PM
Ehh, I dont understand why people write "bitcoin will fall", "this is end" etc. If you dont want just dont invest into it, thats all. Dont spam bilion times with the same speculations..

sometimes when people lose money in something, they tend to want that something to fail once they got out with a loss.
15394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adam Guerbuez claims some very big news is coming for Bitcoin this friday on: January 17, 2015, 01:09:18 PM
guerbuez prolly  *bought around 150 - 170ish then sold at 220 - 230ish.  not bad.  and good job sir.
guerbuez rulez  Grin

He has created a lot of hype  maybe because he *^ ... and the end he's only a little genius troll (in my personal opinion).

Fuck took you guys long enough lulz wow what a fuckin community, seriously some of you guys are smart cats in here, but 90% are straight up clueless idiots. 16 pages in here show just that to the power of 1000.

yes we are honored to be with such smart bright guy.

and remember, xrp went up by a lot.  so be careful.
15397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ABN Amro has no interest in Bitcoin on: January 17, 2015, 11:59:00 AM
i like ripple, and good news (please keep in mind that news is from december 3, 2013).  but let's prevent people from losing any btc and/or fiat because xrp is going down right now.  they will only hate ripple if they lose money.

stay away from xrp for now.

XRP is very high risk. Everyone knows this.

But why did you choose XRP price in USD?

XRP, being a crypto currency, is very strongly tied to BTC.

I suggest you look at the XRP in BTC price graph (properly zeroed)

Interestingly, in my view is the market cap of XRP.

Most likely interestingly of all is the market cap ratio XRP:BTC. It's about 1:5 or 1:6 now.

ABN and others are watching very closely. So should you.

because the only reason xrp is holding it's value against btc is because btc is going down by a lot itself.

Analyse what's going on.

All I'm saying is that XRP is showing signs of resilience.

Make of that what you will.

ok. but i still wouldn't recommend that people buy right now. just be in the sidelines for now to be safe.

15399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spanish Political Party Calls for Bitcoin Regulation on: January 17, 2015, 11:49:46 AM
but what if these 'regulations' prevent ordinary people from investing in BTC because it's a high risk investment..?
15400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin goes below 10$, we are all early adopters!! on: January 17, 2015, 11:46:18 AM
If bitcoin reaches below 10$...

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are a failed experiment.

yes. but some like to experiment some more.  let them.  Grin
