15381  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Islamophobia has never killed anyone. Muslim hate crimes are by Muslims. on: June 03, 2015, 06:33:11 AM
The media and a group of people really think that a flight attendant wanting to open a diet coke for a Muslim woman is already a hate crime

She is really making an issue about the flight attendant giving an unopened can to another passenger.
Discrimination based on religion, according to the Muslim woman.

How is that already considered a discrimination? And where is the discrimination in there? In the can of diet coke? There are a lot of issues towards hate and racism that should be focused and be on the headlines rather than a silly coke issue. How about the human trafficking scene? There are loads of issues, more important than this can of diet coke issue.
15382  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bigfoot - Could he be found soon? on: June 02, 2015, 08:46:06 PM
If bigfoot chooses to introduce him/herself then I'd love to shake them by the hand and simply say 'well done'.

I'm not holding my breath but it's a big old planet with plenty of places to hide out still.

Bigfoot is still a mystery, so is the person behind Satoshi. Wink It's true that this planet is over 4.5 billion years of age, but though this planet existed in that vast expanse of time, there are still places that are left hidden towards humanity. Heck, there are still group of people in which the modern people haven't contacted yet, and those are the Sentinelese People.

The media and a group of people really think that a flight attendant wanting to open a diet coke for a Muslim woman is already a hate crime? How about different human rights violation made towards Muslim girls? Isn't that more deserving to be on the front page rather than some diet coke incident? What has this world become nowadays? Huh
15384  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can US protect its allies against China in the Far East? on: June 02, 2015, 08:36:25 PM
This has been concerning me for sometime now because I am a citizen of the Philippines, a tiny little country completely unarmed with the latest technologies of war. We haven't got any capabilities to combat China in case a war breaks. An hour or so of simultaneous attacks from different sides in our country would probably cripple us easily. These territories that we are fighting to have are originally included on the exclusive economic zone of our country that was signed during the UNCLOS and was enforced on 1994. The treaty indicated that a state could harness every resources--be it marine or land--and has a full sovereign rights over a territory that is within 200 nautical miles within the baseline of its coast. Basically, we are fighting for our rights here, not just the underlying gas and oil fields that could be present. However, small countries like ours doesn't have the means to fight for it. We want diplomatic actions, not aggressive actions. Even if the US enters the scene, we are fucked up anyways, as it will only result to a war we never intended to have. We will lose control over the territories plus we might be trapped in a war that we never wanted to have in the first place.

What are your thoughts on the ongoing territorial dispute in SEA?
15385  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iraq PM: We Lost 2,300 American Humvees to ISIS in Mosul Alone on: June 02, 2015, 08:23:56 PM
I hope you guys are teaching your children to speak Arabic. The real war will be kicking off when Baghdad and/or Damascus falls. Then comes decades of fighting and the scale will require drafting of soldiers. We could not really even keep up with recruiting during the little war Iraq has been so far. You ain't seen nothing yet.

 Cry

Even the US government can do nothing about it. Once the two cities fall, the takeover of the ISIS would soon be easier, spreading chaos into its neighboring countries. Heck, even Al Qaeda once had different branches and controls all over the world, and what do we know what's really happening behind the scenes? These terrorist groups could have merged into one group without us, nor the top intelligence agencies knowing. I hope those taxes that we pay are really wisely spent on things that will defend us, not on things that would potentially destroy us in the end.
15386  Other / Politics & Society / Can US protect its allies against China in the Far East? on: June 02, 2015, 08:19:25 PM
The territorial disputes in Southeast Asia has been going on for decades, and until recently, most of the claiming actions are made aggressively by the Chinese government. These territories are believed to have some underlying gas and/or oil fields beneath them. The Chinese government began building artificial islands near these islands however, as the Chinese expands its control over the disputed territories, more and more countries appeal against this takeover by the Chinese, one of them being the United States. As we all know it, China is already an economic superpower, and in case an aggressive action was taken by the US, the government of China wouldn't hesitate to engage a war against the US. The question is, can the United States manage to protect its allies' interest over SEA or will they just let the Chinese occupation pass to avoid another war?

15387  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iraq PM: We Lost 2,300 American Humvees to ISIS in Mosul Alone on: June 02, 2015, 08:00:42 PM
Is this some sort of a joke? Is the ISIS really having 2,300 Humvees with them? For heaven's sake even the countries such as Croatia and Colombia (some of the most loyal vassals of the United States) are having far fewer of them in their armed forces. And the Kurds don't even have a single Humvee (or other equivalents) with them at this point of time.

The question is, how did the ISIS even acquired them? Also, if situations like this continues to happen, the picture would be like this: Iraq funds ISIS' weapons and armored vehicles and the US is supplying them those gears of war. US is making money and at the same time giving the enemy weapons to fight them. This has to stop.

It's the same in Afghanistan, the US government is actively funding Taliban warlords and insurgents so they don't bomb or hijack their supply trucks. Perpetual war is a great money maker.

Quote
The United States military is helping fund both sides of the war in Afghanistan, knowingly financing a mafia-like collection of warlords and some of the very insurgents American troops are battling, according to Afghan and American officials and a new Congressional study released today.

The military has turned to private trucking companies to transport the vast majority of materiel it needs to fight the war -- everything from bullets to Gatorade, gas to sandbags -- and in turn, the companies are using American money to pay, among others, the Taliban to try to guarantee the trucks' safe passage, the reports charge.

Quote
Two American trucking executives, speaking on the condition of anonymity, say the payment structure goes beyond that depicted by the House report, detailing an intricate system whereby the American military is handing over billions of dollars to companies that bribe insurgents, warlords, road bandits and even corrupt Afghan police and soldiers to hold their fire as the trucks roll past dangerous stretches of highway.

The US, actively fighting acts of terrorism and funding terrorist at the same time. Seems legit. If crushing terrorism is their target, then they must not fund terrorist and stop supplying weapons of war to them. If this continues to happen, then the freedom fighters would be the ultimate enemy in the end. The terrorist wouldn't gain that much power if they aren't provided the weapons they "need" to continue their acts of terrorism. But oh well, capitalism it is.
15388  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What Do YOU Look For in a Faucet? on: June 02, 2015, 06:21:02 PM
A high rate of course. A good referral service, some kind of games before you earn the bitcoins so as to differentiate this faucet from the stereotypical faucets and a fast claim time. That's all I could think of.

15390  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: June 02, 2015, 06:09:14 PM
Nope 12 hours is possible to do. I can do that without any bot. Thats why Im saying faucets is a good way to earn when you got some referrals and

bot to support you so you wont be tired from clicking that captcha alone an you will get more income in this ways. So its worth to earn but using bot

to help.

You must have had a boring life with you then if you did that thing. 12 hours is doable and possible, but that wouldn't take the cut if you might ask me. You would only strain your eyes and fingers in clicking those captchas. Having a real job is easier compared to clicking those captchas for 12 hours. Even if you take breaks, it would still stress you out. Having a real job, on the other hand, would help you earn a more decent amount compared to faucets.
15391  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bigfoot - Could he be found soon? on: June 02, 2015, 05:58:10 PM
If it was just something we see on tv why would discovery and history channel be doing full shows about it? I think there is something more to it

Easy: they want more viewers for more $$$.

But seriously, I believe that aliens and Bigfoot exists; it's just that we can't find a solid evidence to prove their existence. The word of the mouth couldn't be trusted nowadays, we need unedited video footage and photographs. Though we can't find evidence for their existence, that doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't existing, unless we find a solid evidence of they're non-existence.

Remember this quote from Carl Sagan:

Quote from: Carl Sagan
Absence of evidence is not an evidence of absence.
15392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Those who purchased at $1000 on: June 02, 2015, 05:50:30 PM
Probably holding I guess? I hate to say this but those who bought during those stages are blinded by profits. Anyone who has some simple knowledge about how trading works could probably smell that this isn't a natural move by the market. I wasn't aware about bitcoin back in 2013 but looking back at the chart, If I knew bitcoins back then, I would probably not risk any of my money to buy during those stage.

What exchange would be the next mover to the $1000 range? I believe that without artificially pumping the price, we may never see $1000 levels again for such a long time.
15393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions wanted on new hard drives for the upcoming block size change... on: June 02, 2015, 05:38:28 PM
Why not wait for the outcome of this transition (if ever there will be one) first before buying a new storage? Who knows while waiting for what would really happen in this fork, you are actually saving a couple of $$$ for a new drive. Remember, prices of gadgets and storage devices tend to decrease over a period of time as new generation of devices and gadgets appear in the market. Wink
15394  Other / Meta / Re: Can I get whitelisted? on: June 02, 2015, 05:36:08 PM
I never heard or knew about something as "whitelisted" , it's really sucha great feature and more of it should be encouraged to avoid newbie member's buying accounts to lift the limit time.

Idk if whitelisting should be promoted because it would be another system that future scammers would do. They could easily request a whitelist and after that, they could go on to scamming spree. If a user really wants to be part of this forum, he/she must go all through the processes without asking for some privileges that others didn't receive.

Or, ahem, buy, since apprantly buying priviledged accounts is considered a.ok!?

The point that I commented on is about the encouragement of whitelisting for newbies, not the buying of accounts. Buying accounts could probably help you get into this forum with a high rank, but also, in the unofficial list of rules in this forum, buying accounts is not encouraged.
15395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Show me your Bitcoin XT on: June 02, 2015, 04:50:11 PM
How does this work?
I have the same bitcoins in bitcoin and in bitcoinxt or how do I move my bitcoins to xt?

As I understand it, you need to download the new client for bitcoin-xt. Still it wouldn't affect your coins that much, it will still be working in one chain. Sooner or later when bitcoin-xt was the most used fork in the block chain, your coins in the bitcoin-xt client would be the valid coins you can use for spending and the older bitcoin core coins would be pretty much useless as it will not be recorded on the chain whether it was spent or not, mainly because the chain that we are following would be bitcoin-xt and not the bitcoin core. (Did I get it right? Correct me if I get some points wrong.)
Sorry - you got it wrong.  There won't be two chains!  There will just be bitcoinCore and bitcoinXT - both on the same chain!.  Ever how many coins you have now, you'll have the same amount of both types.  One will become worthless (bitcoin core) the other will be valuable same as you know it today.

But if you hurry and load bitcoinXT today, you'll double your coins because they will both be worth something for a while longer.  Only the people who wait - don't double their coins.

Anyone want to buy some bitcoinXT - I've got a shitload available.  I sold all the bitcoinCore already (for $195!) - suckers!  Those are going to be worth nothing soon.  Don't wait.

Just read my reply again and I'm pretty sure I haven't stated anything about two different block chains. Seems like you didn't understand my reply. What I'm saying is, when the Bitcoin-XT fork becomes the widely-used version of bitcoin in the whole network, the coins that are in the Bitcoin-Core client couldn't be spend and will be invalid for transactions whereas the Bitcoin-XT coins would be the coins that could be spent and are valid for transactions. Also, reading from different threads, you could still import the privkeys from Bitcoin-Core to Bitcoin-XT and have the same amount of bitcoins. That is what I learned in reading some threads about Bitcoin-XT.
15396  Other / Meta / Re: Sampey's Account, 7 Days ban for Spam on: June 02, 2015, 04:45:11 PM
I would suggest for future to make a new account and add it to your sale staff , so to avoid such things in future .

Do you mean to evade his ban?

@OP: Don't evade a ban. It will only increase your ban duration.

No! sorry i totally forgot about it!
What i meant is you can use a Different IP for it!
Just you know a seperate account for Customer Care , no much posts , no sig camp!

That is still ban evasion. Evading a ban is not encouraged in this forum. Even if you logged into a different IP and with a different account, the mods would probably notice the pattern of how you post and compare it with some previously banned accounts, which would later result to another ban with the different account that you've made. The best thing to avoid being banned is through posting useful posts in discussions and try not to spam. As for the OP's case, numerous and redundant promotion for his bot was the main reason that I see which earned his account a ban.

Hmm reading a few pages of your posts, it seems like you crossed the border that helped you in receiving a ban. Some of the previous posts you've made are of low-quality and your redundant promotion of your bot. Hopefully after your ban ended, you'll see to increase the quality of your posts and reduce the promotion of your bot.

What is bitcoin xt? Thanks for an answer
Gavin forked Bitcoin.  Now there is bitcoin and bitcoinXT.  bitcoinXT is much better.  Prolly going to the moon. If you want some of the new bitcoin (bitcoinXT) - let me know.  The old bitcoin is going to become worthless - very fast.  It is still good today, but in about a week, you won't be able to get $5 for one BTC

Gavin supported the XT fork but it is not Gavin himself who made the fork. Also, as I understand it, the bitcoins that I have would probably be worthless in case XT was accepted by the majority of the network, but how was this even possible if the coins produced on during Bitcoin Core and the coins that are going to be produced in the Bitcoin-XT runs within the same chain? Different statements regarding XT and core really confuses me now. Can someone shed some light in this one?
Don't freak out!

There is just one chain.  But on that chain, there will be bitcoin and bitcoinXT.  Every coin you have now, will soon be two. If you have 100 BtC now, you'll have 100 BTC and 100BTCXT as soon as the fork takes effect (ie. 90% of miners).  But there will only be one chain.  Sell your BTC now because they will go down in value to nothing.  However, you really lose nothing because BTC XT will stay valuable.  They must assure that everyone holding 100 BTC gets a fair shake - that is why they are giving 100BTCXT.  There isn't going to be two chains.  Just two coins on the same chain.

Get it?

Yes I got it. The one who has the most support from the network will get the upper hand and will be the new fork and chain that we will gonna be in. Anyway, how about the people with only lightweight wallets? How are they gonna be affected by the transition in case it happens?
