How are things going? Six days until the IPO is finished. Wishing everyone the best of luck!
I see that there are already 117837 shares sold - so that should be about enough, assuming the current price will hold.
But friedcat said that he would wait till the end of the week, since some bulk order reservations had such a due time.

If it's true , buying accounts on bitcoinmax will be a real bargain ....
only for a few more days or so.. Smiley
but still: he provides a service and he should get a money for it.
1545  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 22, 2012, 05:34:16 PM
@payb.tc, I don't know if you do, but you should be charging some fee for helping them to trade the accounts.
you are providing a service, so take at least 0.5% of the accounts value.
it's basically like escrow - and they charge ~1%
you've earned it honestly and you business has always been fully transparent, without any tricks.
don't be a sucker Smiley
1546  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 22, 2012, 05:27:46 PM
Yes - that was basically my point.
If he is so much about fulfilling the contract, then why is he still selling PPT bonds, knowing that he cannot deposit the funds into BS&T anymore?

He's obviously just gambling against the people who are holding his bonds.
Not too much - he hasn't sold thousands, but a couple of hundreds is enough to give you an idea of what this guy's "honest" business looks like.
1547  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 22, 2012, 05:13:16 PM
How do you figure that he's shorting them, and not merely buying them buying them back?
If he was buying them back, the number under the link would be getting lower.
And the number has been getting higher - so he is selling the bonds onto the market.

Check the PI bonds: https://glbse.com/api/quantity_trading/TYGRR.BOND-PI
This number has been getting lower, from over 1200 - means he's buying back these.
1548  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 22, 2012, 05:01:17 PM
Hehe - I knew that Goat hasn't yet done the last thing that would surprise me.

Can you believe that since Pirate announced the close down of BS&T, Goat has been putting more TYGRR.BOND-P bonds on the market?

If you check the number of bonds out there, which you can do using this link: https://glbse.com/api/quantity_trading/TYGRR.BOND-P
... you will see that now there are 28107
Few hours ago there were 28101
Two days ago - if I remember well - the number was below 28000
On August 14th there were 27895 bonds (which you can see in the div history table)

So he is shorting his own bonds and at highly undervalued price.
We can only hope that he has enough BTC to backup such an investment, after Pirate eventually pays out.
But he should have, after he screwed up the TYGRR.BOND-PI investors so smoothly... Smiley
1549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Putting your money where Pirate's mouth is. on: August 22, 2012, 07:31:15 AM
I also find that putting pressure on people to gamble is highly unethical. Even more so when other side of the "bet" is not in escrow.
If the "also" refereed to my posts, I don't find his bet "highly unethical".
It will be highly unethical only if he looses and doesn't pay up.

Moreover, I think (just a hunch) that there is something deeper about it and we will find out soon what it was.
If I were Pirate and planing to pay out, arranging such a bet would be my ultimate revenge for all the bad things I've read about myself.
And if the winning would go to a charity - then there is nothing unethical about it, whatsoever.

The russians have found us: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101552.0

Anybody here who speaks russian and can summarize what they're talking about?
I dont but I'm sure they are friendly Smiley

I am mean.. so yeah you are just trolling.. lol.

Thanks buddy...
I am sort of trolling - yes.
But putting my message to you in public is all that matters to me. Otherwise you wouldn't just read it.
So if you want, go to the admin and ask him again to remove my posts, because you care so much about off-topic on the forum.
1552  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 21, 2012, 08:30:04 PM
Seems logical considering the market correction to re-open the IPO and sell to 200,000 shares.

If the first mask / fabrication fails it would be a terrible thing to face liquidity issues for a second attempt.  If I had more cash I'd commit to additional shares for this reason.
as the technology has been tested for over 10 years, it seems that the failing rate for this kind of projects is low enough.
and other people are dying to sell production lines from 5-10 years ago because nobody else wants it nowadays - which this chip is all about; using a cheap scrap to mine money. (no offence) Smiley

1554  Economy / Securities / Re: TYGRR.BOND-PI 1 BTC face 100% Insured Pirate Bonds BTCST on: August 21, 2012, 08:20:41 PM
Why cant you just pay them whatever you get back from Pirate, minus your 1.5%?
You sold these bonds couple weeks ago, at 1.50.
If Pirate does pay out, wouldn't you be feeling sorry for them?
I mean.., I would, at least a bit Smiley
Why to barter about the pity interest?

Trolls gonna to troll...
Since when trolls ask questions for which almost everyone would like to hear answer?

Try to read the contract and try to figure out where I am obligated to have the BTC. Then try to figure out what you are asking me to do and see if that would require me to have the BTC in two places at the same time..

This can not be made more clear. Also do not forget your contract was with me, not pirate.

If you are asking me why will I not break the contract just because you want me to be nice, well lol you are silly. How about I brak the contract if pirate does not pay me back? You all will be nice right? Oh lol!
What am I asking you to do?
Am I daring asking you to break the contract?
No - not at all.
I don't even have one of these shitty bonds.
I'm just saying that you are mean. And also that you should feel embarrassed. But you obviously don't.

Of course he's not going to post the address.

Go get a live - don't let Pirate to screw with your bran and Goat to multiply this trauma Grin
It's just a money.

If you knew the technology, you'd know it's possible.
If you don't know the technology - that would be quite a risky business for you.
Better watch some more Discovery Wink

I know enough of it, very special circuits for very special tasks, and very efficient. Some people are working on it (as much faster replacement for FPGAs). Because they are very expensive, I also had interest as a participator. But do you have enough knowlegde about the details? I think it's complex and expensive, isn't it?
Sorry, with all the respect, but you definitely use the word "very" to often to convince me that you know much about anything. Smiley
He already said everything. To make the chip in China you need about 100k USD, plus ~20% reserve for unexpected issues that may arise - if they don't arise he pays them back as dividends.
The chip is basically made from FPGA application, which there are many of such out there already - turning it onto a fixed silicon makes it much smaller and much less power needy - as for my knowledge likely around what friedcat has published.
After you make the mask, or whatever they call it, a single chip costs you like.. nothing. At least comparing to today's prices of FPGA.
But there are also many risk factors, that I am sure you haven't thought of, so take your time before you eventually believe or not Smiley

I will not ask nefario to lock trading of the bonds.
Why not? I would be glad to know what nefario thinks about your approach, that you are so sure of, but you don't want to ask for. You don't say why - so probably because you are so modest. Good for you Smiley
1560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Putting your money where Pirate's mouth is. on: August 21, 2012, 07:06:00 PM
OK.
But while waiting for more disbelievers, let me just add that I'm not going to bet. Smiley
