Is this a scam site? I sent 10 BC and they still arent showing up... It shows confirmed in my wallet though.  no idea, it used to be called mintbay. mint guys are super bitter over it. I probably won't ever use it. Nobody is really all that bitter about it, people were just confused by the sudden name change. Understandably so, putting BC and Mint aside I don't think the "___road" name is a great choice considering the history of silkroad and cryptocurrencies.. |

My mintcoins has not started POS'ing. It has been almost 4 weeks.
Which wallet version are you on? When you open and unlock your wallet to allow for minting, how long are you leaving it open for? Version 1.7 I do not have any password on my wallet, the "unlock" button is greyed out. I open it every couple days for a few hours. 1st - you must update wallet to 1.9.1 2nd - you should put a password!  3rd - just live wallet open for an hour and minted coins will come to you I just put a password on . I found 2 blocks right before I put the password on, one was orphaned. I thought I could leave the wallet closed and they would still mint? Your coins will gather coinage on the block chain whether or not your wallet is online. But in order to search for a PoS block with your accumulated coin-days you have to connect to the network. Also, just in case you were concerned, orphaned blocks do not spend your coin-days so you don't lose anything to them. I was not too concerned about the orphaned block, 525 Mintcoin is not much . So basically my wallet will "catch up" on those coin days? My understanding is that since the coin-days are not lost on the orphan block, they just get put towards finding another block (along with additional age that accumulated on the coins while they were working on the orphan block). |

You don't need to upgrade the wallet but as somebody already said if you upgrade to v1.9 it will tell you when to expect minted coins. The issue may be that you are not leaving it open long enough, depending on how many coins you have to stake it takes a variable amount of time to find a block. I would recommend encrypting your wallet, too, just to be careful! |

Well, I made an account on blkroad and deposited some Mintcoin last night. It says it could take up to 10 minutes for the deposit to show up but it has been over 12 hours now and it still hasn't shown up. The transaction went through according to the block chain and the Mintpal withdrawal page. I sent them an email earlier today, I imagine they will get back to me soon..

Hi, potentially ignorant question but now that Mintcoin is 100% PoS is the transaction time still 2 minutes?
I see that the mining block time was 30 seconds with 4 required confirmations.
Does this change due to PoS or not? I see you get PoS payment every 20 days.

I guess someone who cant do simple math would invest in this shit coin. 23800 per bitcoin actually. Please try again I guess he forgot the 40% bonus. BTW turtle 3500 sato is, also, not 50% of 5882 sato- and that is if the IPO were 17000 maid/BTC, but it wasn't. |

We need to see one of two things now. We need either to see the Safecoins showing up in our Masterchest or other Mastercoin wallets. Or we need to see the actual working MaidSafe platform. Either way, if they don't want to or can't, what choice do we have outside of litigation? However, we went into it with our eyes wide open (shut?). I have a potentially n00b question. I used a Bitcoin QT wallet to send my Bitcoin. I had no reason to think that I needed to do otherwise based on what I read. So I should receive the Maidsafe coins in that wallet, right? Or did I need a Mastercoin wallet? I'm not worried about their process; they update their progress consistently on safecoin.io and I have received what I think was part of the testing of their automated dispersal...I am just wondering now (Lolz if it is too late) if I should have used a Mastercion wallet... No you could have used a BTC wallet, you just now need to be able to import the private address you sent the BTC from into a mastercoin wallet so that you can use the maidsafecoins. |
