1541  Economy / Economics / Re: Planning avoids unnecessary expenses on: March 19, 2023, 03:19:00 PM
Financial planning and budgeting is like an atlas map in the hand of the captain of a ship he doesn't sail out of course and he at every moment knows his position where he has reached and what to do next ahead. Same applies to a man with a good financial plan it helps prune unhealthy expenses that are fruitless and out of plan. Planning give value to your money for every penny spent and the outcome for good planning is more and more output.

Adult children someday fly out of the nest. If I were you, I would go my own way; everyone should have their own way. Until you achieve significant results in Bitcoin, all your good intentions will do nothing for your brothers and have no value. People want to see proof; moreover, if you are now in a bad relationship and tell them to invest in bitcoin, which is a very risky asset, and if your ideas do not go the right way, you will quarrel with your brothers even more.
Let people decide their own fates so as not to blame you for the future.
I have had to read many suggestions and opinions of people about this issue am having but this git me think very hard knowing I wouldn't like or want anything that should worsen the situation either now or in the future more than it is right now. I can help to see them have it hard the way they are financially but I think based on this I just have to let my results speak for me and am sure that will in some way drag them to me rather than the other way I was about to go to them, and it will be easier for me to then introduce or talk about bitcoin to them after our relativeness issues must have been resolved.
Thanks alot to everyone for the contributions and advise.

In the crypto world bitcoin was first  I had and how you can invest $ and it will add value and I know about other coins but I feel safe when I hear about bitcoin I have seen so many trading on bitcoin and making good earnings in return . Do you have to buy the coins leave it in your wallet for a while for it to add value or do you need to trade it I really wants to understand the transaction and investment in bitcoin because to me I have tried to invest in it but I’m not seeing any added value to my coin bought .
Can some one invest $100 to start or do you need more fund than this to start up any crypto investment , I have done so many research about the investment and making out good earnings from bitcoin still not working out for now I will be glad if I can get any ways to get it right .
There's no amount very good to start up with bitcoin it all depends on what your pocket can let out, and make sure to put in money you're ready to easily let go cause it's all a volatile system and nothing is very sure about the price in the next moment.
You can either trade or invest (buy and hold for longer term) depending on which really suit your ability, that's if you're good in trading, having the experience needed to making profit then you can go into trading but if no, then I'll advise you buy and hold waiting for when a bear season will take place for you to take in profit.
1545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you Think might aid the global adoption of Bitcoin? on: March 19, 2023, 01:47:56 PM
What do you think could aid the adoption of Bitcoin?
Let's discuss please
Spreading the word about the digital currency and the benefits and financial control it offers to adopters , letting people know about it wherever necessary that such information needs to be made known is just another way to attract more adoptors, putting hopes on the government and waiting for them believing that their adoption is fast way to increase the usage of bitcoin is something that will take more decades than we expect as most of these government's ain't Interested in losing their centralized control of the financial system under them and so the best way is to go individual when when a great number in a particular society adopts bitcoin and make use of it wether secretly like the p2p systems that is one channel through which most countries that have bitcoin ban that's what the individuals in such countries uses for transaction and it will get to an extend where the adoption will be so large that the government will have no option than to succumb to pressure.
1546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan for investment can be life threatening on: March 16, 2023, 02:01:37 PM
Same circumstance a childhood friend of mine dating back then in secondary, a few months ago he told me about taking a loan to fix his house rent that's just about two months to expires counting from the day we had the discussion. Of which I advised him not to, but he said his intention is not to direct use the loan money to pay for the house rent but to use the loan money to trade and use the profits to pay the rent and then return back the loan in good piece. I was shocked to hear him talk that way cause from my own angle the market is like a jungle and risky to place our plans on it.
As it stands right now he has lost almost half of the money he took as loan to multiples of unfavourable trades and the rent is over due, he's now struggling between regaining the total loan amount and paying the rent. He thought he could make it out through altcoins but he only got into a deep ditch. So entirely I don't advise taking a loan to trade or investment in crypto
.
1547  Other / Off-topic / A burden I bear within. on: March 15, 2023, 01:19:52 PM
I have some sort of burden within my mind and I don't know how to go about it and with the kind of approach I should use to initiate a dialogue and be sure of being given a paid attention to what u have to say. Alright, this is it...
Am one folk from a polygamous family. My Dad (now late) married three wives of which things seemed to have been going smoothly among the wives and we the children from different mothers while Dad was alive, but an unfortunate events sets in disrupting the peace immediately after Dad's death. More than a year now we all of different mothers have not being in talking terms owing to inheritance issues that sets in. But this isn't what burdens me at the moment.

The actual burden is that, for the past months now I noticed how my other brothers some who are not yet engaged with a any payable job at the moment struggling through with some difficulty catering for their selves based on how harsh the economic situation in the country current is. And I have been wanting to talk to them about bitcoin currency and perhaps bitcointalk forum too, but  hey,  my fears is that they might not give me audience based on how things are within the family. Not that  my awareness and familiarity with bitcoin as a digital currency has made me rich but at least to a notable extent despite with the associated risk involved it has really been profitable to me financially through which I have used to finance and pay some bills. And in same vein I feel it could be helpful too to them knowing and taking part in it. Of which I'll gladly guide them through to the best of my ability about the process.     I don't propose to convince them into buying the idea but I only intend presenting it to them and the decision to get along is completely left with each one of them.

But the emphasis here is my fear on how to approach them and engage them in the discussion that their attention would be deeply captured to give me a listening ears to what I have in mind since we're currently not in good talking terms due the family issues on ground.
What do you guys propose I do or how to go about it!. Or should I just look the other way!

1549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Beginners Should Not Go For Future Trading? on: March 13, 2023, 04:28:34 PM
For anyone to have gotten a good cognizance with spot trading and also having a trading pattern then am convince such a trader is good to go with future trading, you have to dare new waters as a trader if you want to make good profits. If you can be a spot trader then you shouldn't regard yourself as a newbie anymore cause a newbie is only but a novice to trading in all ways.
1550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Urgent answer, please 🙏 am confused. on: March 13, 2023, 04:19:28 PM
I have been a bit long on this forum and I have read the rules 🚷 guiding the medium, but there is one thing I haven't understand here so I want to ask a question and I expect urgent answers, so the question is if I post a thread and I letter edit it, can I also use that same sentence as a comment on the same thread?
Please if you get my point answer,  thanks.
Simply quote that particular sentence you which to make clearer and lay your emphasis about it , in that way every member would have an understanding about it and may likely draw more points from it. Unnecessary editing may give a wrong signal of spamming despite it's your own thread as OP.

1553  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 10, 2023, 07:58:55 PM

No bet is a waste bet won or lose. I said this because all the time we all predicted a lost bet we didn't see it as a waste.

Please if you guys will allow me, from now onward I will be dropping daily 3 odds here on this thread, if you want to stick, stick with little amount.
Hmm and if I have to stick to your 3 odds games and makes some few losses I should not see it as a waste right? Grin
Anyway, you're right no bet in the staking stage is viewed as a waste not until it's a lost one, but that doesn't mean a gambler shouldn't care or raise concern if he's going through series of losses based on this idea OP raised. I hope your odds plays as for those that would wanna give it a try.
1554  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: March 09, 2023, 06:57:50 PM
The level of  activeness of participants should be one basis and also the number of winnings a customer makes within a month should be part of a criteria to giving bonuses. This would encourage more participant activeness and influx of new bettors too.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many crypto wallets do you own? on: March 06, 2023, 03:28:29 PM

- If you forget one private key you won't lose all your crypto assets

I wonder why anyone would wanna forget their private keys such persons should be termed as jokers and unserious individuals as the only condition for exception is a situation of loss of memory as due to an accident outside this parameters there's no exceptions. There are so many recommended ways people can keep safe their private keys and a person can pick two or more of them all to use in safe keeping his private keys to avoid this excuse of forgetting it because private keys are not something you memorize to keep in the head.
1556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 06, 2023, 05:09:14 AM
Sometimes i feel that football is fixed, how does a team like Liverpool that lost to Many weak clubs and encase 5 whole goals in just one match from real Madrid destroyed a solid team like Manchester united with whole 7 goals that's really hard to believe, i don't know how Manchester united fans are feeling right now, after the team started to recover again they got a catastrophic lose, this will Surely affect the team preformence in the remaining matches
Fixed match of such goal margin for a renowned club like Manchester United can't be possible anywhere in the world, so recede the thought and accept reality that football is a game of utmost surprises and that's why it never get boring watching each game's eaxh weekend endlessly as there's something for the week to keep you overwhelmed. I just hope the goal margin alone don't distabilize the teams psychology as it seems humiliating taking such shameful defeat of all times.
1557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the motto of bitcoin? on: March 05, 2023, 01:02:17 PM
I think this is one misinterpretation that many persons out there carry in their head that bitcoin is a company that's controlled by some group of individuals with the big bag. But this is not true, as bitcoin is not a company neither is it owned or controlled by a group of individuals and there's no logo associated to it. Bitcoin just have a short form for BTC which actually is not a logo. It's just a decentralized system owned by no group.

1559  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic power on: March 03, 2023, 03:22:37 PM
In theory we can can see a lot of influence the economic power has on society but practically the political is the machinery that control the way the economical should go. I use my country for example, the government introduced a redesigned fiat currency notes thereby given a policy order to retrieve the old notes in addition to a cashless policy that place restrictions to limited amount of transaction daily. All of these policies and procedures have introduced a lot of controversy from different quarters of the economy. To cut the whole story short, it exposes a lot about how economic power is derived through political power as the political controls the economical.
1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors so sceptical about Altcoins? on: March 01, 2023, 04:28:51 PM
Alternative coins are not dependable like bitcoin that's why many investors are very skeptical about putting in their money and in addition to proliferation of altcoins that has been circulated all over the exchanges platforms and this makes it difficult for investors to pinpoint which coin is dependable and reliable. And the high volatility of most of these altcoins is some that's worrisome
