1542  Economy / Services / Re: John (John K.)'s escrow service (previously known as johnthedong) on: January 12, 2014, 05:49:28 PM
I'm happy to report that John K is alive and well, and your coins are safe. I believe Theymos can confirm this as well.
Well if he's not dead or injured, that means he's in hiding or away for some reason? Death threats? School?

How did you get this information?

He Emailed me and Theymos and confirmed that he has returned the forum's coins he was holding:

He also said that he'll take care of all outstanding escrows once he gets back to Boston on the 13th, at night.

Wow, I offered the same shit yesterday and never got a loan because Vod comes in with his plastic badge to fuck shit up.

WTF Vod, you got a plastic one? Mine's made of cardboard.

Just got your PM (sorry, I was away from my computer). But yes, I can escrow this. Just let me know when you've found a seller.
1546  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: gonefishing510 - I sent him a casasicus coin - he got it --- no anwer on: January 11, 2014, 06:32:03 PM
Theymos has confirmed via IP that lucky7slick and gonefishing510 are the same user.

I believe he went back to Malaysia to visit around Xmas time. He may still be out there.
1548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost human Season1 Episode7 1 bitcoin = 427,000 dollars on: January 10, 2014, 11:11:47 PM
I could live with that.

Fair enough. Lemme know when everything is straightened out. Thanks for following up on this Smiley
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: January 10, 2014, 10:17:36 PM
I went ahead and flagged alpha-t with cautionary trust. There's just too many questions that need to be answered.
wtf someone jumping the ship? damn but thanks for holding our hands and making me feel better tonight when I sleep
I was never on the ship to begin with. And please note that I didn't say that this is a scam, but I gave negative trust as a cautionary measure. Potential buyers should exercise extreme caution and do proper vetting of this company before spending their money on something that may or may not be vaporware.

No wonder I've been seeing an escalation of escrow requests in my inbox. I hadn't noticed that John was away til just today.
1553  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anybody know where John K went? on: January 10, 2014, 08:28:10 PM
You doubt somebody would skip town over 500BTC?

Not a really compelling reason considering he probably already has thousands.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WORLDCOIN SKYROCKETING! HUGE BUYS (CHART INCLUDED) on: January 10, 2014, 08:00:23 PM
WTF wasn't it at like .0015 a few weeks ago?

Fuck off and pay jakedeez, scammer.
1556  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JBWashington scammer on: January 10, 2014, 07:37:45 PM
Tell me what else I can post to proove he got his money. I used BTC-E. that was my mistake. I will be transferring to my local wallet first from now on.

I just noticed something:

That BTC-E transaction ID #210354623 is from December 18th, 2013. But the indicated date of the transaction is January 8th, 2014. So I'm betting that BTC-E's system is REALLY fucked up and that .2 BTC never went out. So basically you can pay D05GTO any time without worry of inadvertently paying him twice Smiley

The blockchain is the only definitive proof. BTC-E's html might say the transaction went out, but that's just a cosmetic confirmation. The proof is in the blockchain, but that's between you and BTC-E.

I doubt he skipped town over 500 BTC (I think that was the amount that Theymos broke up BT's holdings into). Anyway if anybody knows how to get ahold of him, I have a few questions.
1559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alibaba Bans Bitcoin Amid China Crackdown! on: January 10, 2014, 06:23:04 PM
News from China doesn't affect the market price anymore.
1560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central Banks could EASILY destroy Bitcoin (if they want) on: January 10, 2014, 06:04:40 PM
How would this destroy Bitcoin? Bitcoin existed long before there was any analog-money numbers associated with it.
