1541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency price is coming back. on: March 22, 2020, 10:26:25 AM
It is really surprising to see how Bitcoin dipped together with the shock of the traditional financial market. Only to see it at above $6000 just days after...

That is so true.

I thought that it is because of what is happening right now but it turns out it is not really the pandemic but it just played a role to affect the price. I am not surprised by the price change in time since we all know the capabilities of it even in the past. The halving is closing and with the recovering price, I think we might get back at $10K.

But let's admit it, the pandemic has major impact on this. Because of so many economies in the brink of collapse, a lot of people are selling their crypto portfolio. But whales are taking advantage of the situation as they can afford to accumulate more even in this crisis. Because they do believe that bitcoin will rise again very soon or the next few years.

We can't really say that it is because of the pandemic.

I did a google search last week when the dump happened and it is said that it is because of the moving of Bitcoin of these PlusToken scammers. You can read the article here. They are moving the Bitcoins to mixers that is why the dump is happening. We can say that some investors did some panic selling but I think the most reason why that dump happened is because of these scammers.

1543  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: March 22, 2020, 07:51:15 AM
Covid-19 virus recently caused the crash of btc over a week ago?

It is said that Covid can't really affect the Bitcoin price

There might be some that panicked because of it but as far as I know, the PLusToken scam majorly affected the fall and coincidentally, it went together when the pandemic is getting worse.

Government saying this virus hype can last till next year, meaning Btc crash will be sustained to new lows this year similar to a virus bear market till next year when the virus fear hype is over?

I don't think that it will last that long.

From the drop to $5K, now we are looking at the price of $6K. Ever since it reached that price, it is not going down and not that going up either so maybe before the halving, we will be starting at the price of $6K.

Will Btc halving this May coming will get us out of this virus bear market?

We don't know.

But the thing about the halving is that it will obviously affect the price of Bitcoin positively.

Whats covid-19 virus got to do with Bitcoin? Its not a computer or blockchain virus that attacks btc so why Btc crash?

The stock market is majorly affected by it.

I think investors thought that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will also be affected that is why some investors already sold some of their BTCs for the dump, and it happened and thought it was all because of the virus.

In global recessions/depressions/global economic meltdowns people turn to gold/silver and digital gold such as bitcoin so why bitcoin crash and gold market not crashing in times like these?

It did crash but it is affected.

The stock market is affected and I don't think Gold be an exemption to that. It is a debate in the past whether Bitcoin is a safe-haven investment or not and I think it is not a safe-haven. Might not be even a store of value.
1544  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: March 22, 2020, 03:33:49 AM
I think that almost everyone is panic selling in this year. Even professional investors. Drops are so big

It is true that the drop is so big, but I don't see these professional investors panic selling.

They are called professional investors for a reason, and if they are really professional, they don't need to panic since they can analyze what they need to do and cope up with the changes that happened. It doesn't mean that the dump is so big means that the professional investors panicked, it is quite affected by the pandemic but I don't think that is the main reason.
1545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some casino gambling tips. on: March 22, 2020, 02:52:26 AM
1. Limit your budget - If you are already in the casino gambling, it will be hard for you to control yourself from betting, so the best thing that you must do is to limit your budget before going to casino gambling.

Here's the thing about the quarantine here.

Casinos are closed so we don't really have places to gamble our money. My friend invited me to play online and it ends up me downloading an application called Zynga poker and well, we just talk while we are playing. People should really budget their money right now since they never now how long will these lockdowns will happen.

2. Be comfortable on the place - you don't need to get panic while playing, being panic because if thinking that authorities may enter the casino and will arrest you. That is impossible because some casino buildings are legal and have legal paper. So do not panic because it will affect you while playing.

Playing almost throughout the day is somewhat annoying.

You are just sitting around in front of your PC and you feel so tired after the day. I don't know you all ever felt this but I am so tired gambling every single hour especially if you are just always holding on a thread.

3. Know what games you should play - that is really important, you should play only on those game on which you know that you can win the game, actually, you should choose the game that requires skills and techniques to win.

We can't really play other things in this lockdown.

We can't choose what games should we play, I am not even sure if we should even spend our money on some online games I've seen on a gambling site. I think I am just gambling now just to kill the boredom but the thing is that I am still so bored that I really need to go outside to play but we all know that it is not allowed.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone pay for slandering gambling websites on Bitcointalk? on: March 22, 2020, 01:43:57 AM
Some users as far as I know experienced bad things in a site and that is the reason they are doing it.

With a lot of users slandering other sites, I think it is a grudge of what happened in the past. I don't know if owners of sites are really paying them or maybe owners or co-owners are doing it all we know is the reputation that site has is being stepped on. We could just based that on the reputation that the site has since there are only a few sites that you could trust.
1547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 22, 2020, 01:02:23 AM
If you are into esports, there are still some games that are ongoing, better bet on it now since you might lose the chance to do so.

So you are saying that soon there is a possibility that we cannot bet on esport too?
This isn't like sports betting that people gather to play, I guess this is purely done online and its not possible that corona virus will spread in this game.

can you please educate me on about my question.

Okay, I think you are misunderstood.

Not all of the esports events are done online. We have this type of tournaments, LAN and online. Obviously LAN tournaments are those events where these pro players go to a country where the LAN tournament will be held. LOL, Dota2, CSGO, and other esports (from fighting games, such as Tekken and Smash Bros) usually the events held from Majors to Minors are held on LAN. Online is also a thing but these days, events online are usually for qualifiers. Those teams that will win the online qualifiers will be going to the Group stages which is popularly done on LAN. Because of the pandemic, a lot of LAN events are postponed, delayed and cancelled, (most of them are Majors and Minors) that is why I said that they might lose the chance to bet on it and also because the tournaments that are still ongoing are halfway through.

Speaking of an online tournament, Dota2 has its WeSave! Charity Play now ongoing, I don't know if people can bet on it since it is just a charity match.
1548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that Corona Virus may effect trading? on: March 21, 2020, 01:34:53 PM
Somehow. The effect also is either good or bad.. People might use their investment to buy something they need or withdraw it so they will be able to have extra money on them just in case.. Or people may invest more and more so they wont be needing fiat money as fiat money transfers virus.

It is just bad.

Just look at this article and it will all tell you how bad it is. It is just in our country, how much more to other countries that are greatly affected by the Corona Virus like China and Italy. The stock market is really affected by this, despite the dump of Bitcoin last week, it is not recovering proving that it is not that affected by it.
1549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency price is coming back. on: March 21, 2020, 12:51:41 PM
From the price of the coin from $5000 from the previous weeks the market price of the coin rapidly increase and now it is already $6.2 and this is a huge change within this hours only the same with the altcoins they are rapidly increasing and this is a good sign of having a good market again, after the fighting to the spreading of the virus and it becomes fine again.

That is the reason why we should be patient.

A lot of people are already disappointed at those changes not knowing that a lot of people would take advantage of that price fall. Now we are seeing a good price stabling at $6.1K. Now we just wait what might happen, yesterday it reached $6.5K so there is a chance or a possibility that it will go higher than that, who knows, it might be $7K tomorrow.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Doomed ? on: March 21, 2020, 11:04:48 AM
Another manipulation? We don't know.

All we know is that the price of Bitcoin fell much worse than this in 2018. A lot of people thought that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are starting to crumble, starting to die but it didn't. Bitcoin will always recover, from the past dumps up until now, it still proves that it will never let us down. Bitcoin will keep on giving us profit, that will be the same to other cryptocurrencies.
1551  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: March 21, 2020, 10:32:13 AM
We've seen a drop much worse than this.

We did not continuously fall but it went back just after months. Another thing that we should consider is that the profit Bitcoin gave, in the long run, is something that we should always remember, that is why people call Bitcoin a store of value though it wasn't. Bitcoin's price will always recover, just look at the price right now, it is starting to do so.
1552  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 21, 2020, 08:12:54 AM
Indeed so many businesses are affected right now I think every business are being affected,
The only business that is doing great right now is the medical and food fields other business are losing some profit.

All of them are being affected and despite people needing food and medical supplies, they are also affected.

Food businesses are also affected negatively since because of the lockdown, they can't really manufacture foods that easily. Their workers/employees are at their homes with the quarantine. In terms of the medical field, they are having a shortage now to alcohol and face masks which are the most needed of people nowadays.
1553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 21, 2020, 04:27:20 AM
I realized something though.

I gamble online after my job. When the pandemic started affecting our country and working home is in effect, it is hard to gamble online and I feel like I am bored doing it for a longer time, it is like I got tired of gambling. I am not addicted, I do it for fun and well, the idea of me gambling doesn't really change but while in quarantine I just got tired of it though I still do my job properly. I don't know how that happened, maybe some of you felt the same?
1554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here succeeded a friend to play online gambling now that casino are close on: March 21, 2020, 03:30:18 AM
To be honest, it is the opposite.

It is not that I am not gambling online or taking any online bets but it is just that my friend invited me to do some online bets and we did. I also suggested some esports bettings to him but he said he is not interested in that. He also tipped me so, yeah, it is great.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 21, 2020, 02:17:28 AM
What about online gambling? Online poker for example.

There are a lot of gamblers turning to online casinos or gambling sites.

As our government is strict about the policies to keep us safe from the virus, we are stuck in our houses and the only alternative that we can run to is obviously online casinos. There are still games that can we bet but most of them are postponed or canceled. If you are into esports, there are still some games that are ongoing, better bet on it now since you might lose the chance to do so.
1556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: March 21, 2020, 01:19:32 AM
Yes, we have seen this type of downfall from 2018 to till date, which many people afraid a lot previously that bitcoin will decrease its price below 1000$. Even now people are predicting the price of Bitcoin will go below 2000$ and this makes many people panic about the current situation, but people should understand it is an opportunity to grab the Bitcoin at low value.

Hope people took your suggestion since we are seeing the price increasing slowly.

Been checking the price of Bitcoin for the past hours, it is boring here in our house and watching TV wouldn't cut it, and I saw the increase reaching at $6.5K. That is almost $1K increase in almost a day, if people took advantage of that low price, they would be seeing their portfolio now with a good profit. How much more if after halving.
1557  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading, gambling and binary options. Which one you prefer? on: March 20, 2020, 12:54:33 PM
Trading is my expertise...
I don't care about the words of others who say gambling or Binary can get money quickly, I only focus on trading because I have honed my analytical skills in trading

Hope people could learn a thing from you.

A lot of people want to earn money but they don't do things to achieve that, usually people nowadays think that money will approach them but it is the opposite. People should really prefer trading or maybe binary options if you have the capital or money to start with. Always remember that you could lose all of your money in gambling while in trading, you can lose but not all of it but just the percentage of it.
1558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Central Bank Admits It Can’t Ban Bitcoin on: March 20, 2020, 12:11:06 PM
I think people would still be able to trade Bitcoin despite their prohibitions.

They admitted that they can't really control it which means the only thing they can do is to put a rule on exchanges or trading platforms that runs in their country. With a lot of exchanges outside of Russia, crypto traders at the country can still trade either using proxies, VPNs or other things to mask their IPs. It is not like they can even identify people who own those cryptocurrencies.
1559  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coronavirus scam email - do not donate bitcoin on: March 20, 2020, 11:50:09 AM
This ruined my day.

People need help and these sh*ts are taking advantage of the pandemic that is happening? Are these people still human? It is so annoying that instead of helping those people in need, they still got the idea of scamming or fooling other people out of their money. Thanks for informing though.
1560  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us. on: March 20, 2020, 10:04:48 AM
COVID-19 is still spreading around the world, there are so many lives that passed away because of the virus, but despite of danger that this virus can give to use, it teaches us something in our lives.

1. Our earth feel free because there are a lot of company that produces air pollution that is being closed.
2. There are so many people who clean our environment, there is general cleaning in our community.
3. People learned how to be careful and protect their health.
4. Because of this virus, the government decided the lockdown on our are and by that we get so much bonding on our family.
5. There are a lot of cancelled activities and gathering such as (night club, vices, etc.)
6. The virus makes us so conscious on our environment.
7. Our camaraderie increases.
8. Our faith on our God increases.

I know and I believe that we can overcome this problem, let us all help each other, stay at home to prevent the risk of spreading the virus.

You are focussing on the positive but there are a lot of worst negative features of it.

1. It doesn't look like it but a lot of people do not know what to do.
2. People are so scared to go outside and bonding with their family is the only way they do to forget that feeling.
3. Economy majorly affected.
4. A lot of people doubting the government what they can do in times like this.
5. Nothing changes in terms of our environment, after all of this it will just go back to normal.
6. Camaraderie? Do you even see people hoarding essentials and not even thinking that other people need it?
7. Lockdown is not a good thing, it is just done for people's safety.
8. People just say their prayers when it comes to times like this.
9. Education is badly affected.
10. You are focusing on the effect on Earth but it is not the one suffering right now but the people.

You could say that this is a punishment of some sort but this pandemic tells us and shows us how bad people are and despite the security and being technologically advance of each country, they are vulnerable to such viruses.
