1541  Economy / Services / Re: Old trader offering here hedgefund service on: November 11, 2023, 11:46:57 PM
If you are good at trading then you won't need anyone's financial support I guess. A good trader can turn $1 to $1M and that type of thing takes time and understanding of the markets. In crypto-market traders are the bosses themselves and they can really earn a lot of profits if they build a good and working strategy with a proper trading plan.

If you are someone like that then don't ask money from others because no-one will give you their money as it's quite risky to give money to someone who can play with your money. It's far better to arrange $1 to $10 by selling your old stuff and then start trading with that amount. You'll surely learn risk management in the process and who knows you may make good profits if you're really good at trading.

Your offer seems like a scam attempt to me and other members of the forum and that's why suggested you to start with small amount of money and grow it slowly. The compounding thing works for everyone but patience and good understanding of the markets is necessary for it to work. Sorry, if I sound harsh, but I won't lend you even a $1 for your trading purpose because as a trader I know that how volatile is the crypto-market and anyone who trades based on 1-2 factors will end up liquidating the money.
1542  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: November 11, 2023, 11:24:29 PM
I think adding support for other bitcoin layers and Lightning Network is a good idea too.  Those have way lower fees so seems practical to me.  Kinda surprising that the OP wasn't that into it.  I feel like the fees on the main bitcoin network are just too high for small bets now and  LN lets you do micropayments which could work better for a lottery site. Also, maybe lowering the minimum bet could get more people playing.  People might wanna place smaller bets just for fun.

Yeah, support for Bitcoin layers especially Lightning Network is a pretty interesting thing that the owner of the site can implement into the site. Well, I believe that it's okay to have the Bitcoin main network as well and add that LN as an extra payment solution.

In fact I think an altcoin like Monero will also be a good secondary payment solution for the site. As far as I know the OP loves to have a system which works without any KYC restrictions. I guess he also wants everyone to enjoy those games and there isn't any kind of centralized restriction on players.

For such things Monero may work better as users can play without any KYC or centralization burden. I also think that lowering of bet is going to be a good thing for players also for the site. Most of the players like to have smaller bets in initial days and once they check the games with smaller bets then they can place bigger bets as well. like @Fivestar4everMVP suggested, the minimum bet should be below 0.05, however the maximum bet I believe should be around 100$ to 1000$ depending on the budget of the players.
1543  Other / Meta / Re: What's AI Written Post? on: November 11, 2023, 09:47:38 PM
How to post on bitcoin forum using artificial intelligence system?
People can use AI text generators like ChatGPT or Google bard to write the posts for them and then they copy/paste those posts on this forum. Actually using of AI is not mainstream due to such platforms and even children can use those platforms without much hassle. But, of course the generated text is not accurate and may misguide others about certain things if they read such posts.

And is anyone on this forum using the AI writing system?
That's a controversial question but surely there is a thread created by @Nutildah where you can see the members who used AI generated posts and they were reported in that particular thread. Here's the link of that thread AI Spam Report Reference Thread

What are the pros and cons of using AI writing systems?
The pros of AI writing systems is that they have learnt their knowledge from huge set of text data and they can write like humans, and another pros of those AI writing systems is that they write with excellent grammar.
The cons of such AI writing systems are a lot. Those systems are somehow helping spammers to get written posts within seconds. The texts they generate are probably unique but they're more like spam.

AI writing post against forum policy?
There are no official rules against AI generated texts as far as I know and there is no such forum policy against such posts but surely the members of the forum don't like to read posts which are generated with AI writing systems and that's why they oppose such posts and report those posts to moderators. It's somehow a type of plagiarism and that's why most members of the forum don't really like to have AI generated threads or posts in this forum. I believe that in future we may have official rules against AI generated texts.

A popular campaign manager on this forum @Royse777 has a cautionary rule about this in his managed signature campaign policy.  So are we to assume that AI writing posts is against forum policy?

To prevent AI domination effective from today we are introducing an incentive for forum users. Find AI written posts on this campaign
and report to me either in public or in forum PM, please be sure you have enough reference to support the claim. For successful report
the reporter will receive the weekly payment instead of the accused campaigner. The campaigner will be removed immediately.

Royse is surely one of the best managers of our forum and I truly respect him and his opinion. He wants to have human written content on the forum and especially he wants human written content from the applicants who participate in the campaigns which he manages. And, for that he prohibits AI written text and if someone uses AI tools to generate texts when he/she is accepted in a campaign that is managed by Royse then that person won't get the payment as Royse's rules and the one who reports such user will receive the pay.

A few weeks ago there was a forum member who was accepted in Royse's managed signature campaign but that guy used AI generated texts in order to fulfil his weekly minimum posts. Someone found that and reported that members and Royse took action against that member by removing him from his signature campaign and gave him penalty of not getting accepted in any of his managed campaigns for a year I think.
1544  Other / Meta / Re: A possible solution for broken images on the forum. on: November 11, 2023, 09:26:17 PM
When that problem took place it was soon reported in forum and after sometime Theymos posted the poll and in that poll I also participated and I have chosen option 2 as that was the best option so far but even till this day no such thing has happened and most of the images are still coming with that proxy error.

Thumbs up to joker_josue for finding a solution for some of those image proxy error issues by launching TalkImg. Although, the joker_josue's solution is currently working like charm and will continue to work in the same way but unfortunately the old Imgur images are still present in most old threads and haven't been replaced by the OP's of the threads.

I believe that Theymos will soon make some changes in forum and allow users to click on the links of those images which give image proxy error in embedded form. Let's wait for that time and if you still want to view some images of a thread then you can simply quote that thread and you'll see the embedded links in the quote and then you can copy and paste those images to see those images.
1545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Angry at the high fees? That's what everyone predicted the future will be like! on: November 11, 2023, 09:05:00 PM
I agree with you with all those things that you have mentioned in your thread. I also believe that higher fees can incentivize the miners with better rewards for all the work they're doing for themselves and for Bitcoin community. Without miners we won't be able to do anything with Bitcoin and that's why I believe the high fees are more like thanksgiving to those miners who are doing the hard work of mining and making it easy for us to enjoy Bitcoin transactions.

Surely, the high fees have their own drawbacks but since miners are getting some good pay for their work and that's why we should accept it for the time being. I hope that soon we'll see good fees again and the transactions with low fees will also get accepted sooner than expected. This time the high fees are again on the network because of the ordinal thing but surely if miners are getting rewarded for your work then we should not a say a word in this matter.

I believe that in such times we can choose another altcoin based transactions if the transactions are that necessary and allow Bitcoin network to get stable once again in order to use it. I believe Monero could be a good choice for such times as transactions made with Monero are also decentralized in nature. I also agree that using of LN is another option for us and now LN is getting more widely accepted so it's going to be a good option for us.

1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the Choice of Investors on: November 11, 2023, 08:18:11 PM
Cathie Wood is a smart women and that's why she chose Bitcoin over gold because the potential of growth with Bitcoin is way higher than gold. She said the truth and I agree with that and yes young people love to invest in Bitcoin and hold their investment for long term and in fact if we check the history of Bitcoin then it's confirmed that Bitcoin is far better than gold as an asset.

Bitcoin should not be called as a "Safe Haven" because its value can grow and fall over time. Bitcoin is still very volatile and its value can grow as well as drop to huge percentages. Although, it's still once of the safest investments that promises potential profits to investors who are going to hold it for long term, but still currently it should not be termed as a "Safe Haven" I guess.

When it comes to transparency and decentralization then its somewhat true that Bitcoin has both of those, but unfortunately most people still purchase Bitcoin directly from centralized exchanges and they really don't care about the decentralization feature of it at all. I hope that one day thing will change and people will invest in Bitcoin in decentralized way rather than the traditional centralized way.
1547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? on: November 10, 2023, 04:59:29 PM
What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? What percent of people will agree to getting pension in bitcoin in your opinion  ? What will be the benefits and limitations of this occurrence in long term on people and economy ?

Although, I'm a firm supporter of Bitcoin and idea behind it but I don't think it will be a good thing for citizens if a country decides to pay their working population their pension in the form of Bitcoin. The reason for that is the majority of people who are retired or who are getting close to retirement don't know about technical aspects of things and such people can easily be scammed and they may lose their Bitcoin.

Surely, such payments will be good for future generations as people are getting technically good these days due to digital revolution and availability of smartphones but still for current generation of retired workers it isn't going to be helpful. If someone who is good at the technical aspects of the things can have their pension in the form of Bitcoin but still you know the price of Bitcoin fluctuates a lot sometimes and that can be a problem for those retired workers.
1548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone saw mempool right now? Mempool spam on: November 09, 2023, 10:22:20 PM

The transaction fees are getting crazy and the network is getting highly congested. Fee for low priority transactions is at 146 sat/VB which's crazy and there are more than 210,579 unconfirmed transactions as of time of writing this post. I think the useless ordinals are causing harm to Bitcoin network once again and the dam ordinals problem isn't solved yet.
1549  Other / Meta / Re: People commenting on the first page without having read the previous posts. on: November 09, 2023, 08:30:39 PM
I post far more than necessary to earn the max at my campaign. But sometimes while reading all the posts in a three or four page thread the op locks the thread and my opportunity to post on the thread is gone.
It is really fucking annoying to read for 20 minutes and type for 5 more and the thread gets locked .

Yeah, I have seen your posts and I can surely say that you don't really post in order to reach your min or max campaign posts requirements and I believe that you enjoy posting more and surely most of your posts are highly constructive without any doubt.

Yeah, it's quite annoying to give time to a thread and read most of its posts and when writing your post the thread gets locked by the OP. Although, that never happened with me but I can feel that how annoying it could be.
1550  Other / Meta / Re: Issues Bitcoin Talk members meet using the website without Java Script on: November 09, 2023, 08:21:52 PM
~Snip~

Well, the forum is intended to be used with Java Script and most of the functions of the forum will work when you enable the Java Script. A user has to face some issues if he/she disables Java Script and I don't think that anyone is going to work on the code of the forum on only to make it workable for non-Java Script users, but if someone makes that then that would be a good thing for Java Script disabled users.

I would like to know that for what reason you have disabled your Java Scripts? Is it for security purposes or something else? Like decodx said you should remove users from ignore list and then read their messages. It's not worth it to ignore a users who may post valuable stuff that you want to view. But, when it comes to a fix then I think that show/hide link of the ignored users can be fixed by someone who is good at html.
1551  Other / Meta / Re: People commenting on the first page without having read the previous posts. on: November 09, 2023, 07:57:48 PM

What do you think about this?

I often read 1-3 pages of a thread before posting but sometimes when I feel that I can give my opinion and that would be helpful for others then I don't really go through all previous posts. It's someone's own preference to either go directly with a reply or read others posts before posting a reply.

I believe that in some posts it's highly needed to go through others posts but when you're sure that you can write a valuable reply post then I don't think it's necessary to read previous posts. Let's take this thread as example, I have gone through most of the posts before posting my reply but that thing isn't needed in most other posts.

I don't think that it's needed to send a PM to the campaign manager for such things because they already have a lot of work to do and sending them such PM's isn't needed. Some members in a campaign post more the the needed maximum posts of a campaign and in those cases managers often ignore low quality posts and pay an applicant for the posts which are good in quality.

1553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your own casino. on: November 09, 2023, 02:25:28 AM
I never dreamed about having my own casino but if I can get my own casino then it's always going to be a good thing for me. Now a days, it isn't that hard to have one's own casino but still initial investment is required to have a proper casino which may have some active players.

The worst thing of this time is that the casinos must have some type of license to work and unfortunately I think that's not needed that much. The games are widely available by game providers which a new casino can implement into their platform, but I still believe that the ones who build their own games will have priority over the others.
You are right though, but let me point out some few things, it isn't that hard to build a casino, but also consider the fact that competition is very high at the moment amongst online gambling casinos, which I think changes everything, for now, it no longer about owning a gambling casino, the question is, how big or popular is it?, how many active players are there on the casino?.

I personally have come across some really good casinos, well structured, beautifully designed and so, but not very many people playing there, which brings me to the issue of marketing, this days, without adequate marketing, some one who owns a casino is as good as the person who does not own one, a person can spend let's say $20,000 to build a world class casino, and would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on marketing because, marketing is a never ending expenditure for online gambling casino, for the day you stop marketing, you start losing customers gradually.

You're absolutely right! Yeah, it isn't hard anymore to build one's own casino  these days but growing it is pretty hard and you're right the competition is tough for new casinos as the old giant casinos have been on the market for quite some time now and they are spending millions on marketing only.

Like you said, I have also see many good casinos that were built very professionally but had way less active players then expected. I believe marketing these days is more important than creation of a casino and for marketing a casino has to spend way more than what was invested during building of the casino.

I believe that even marketing on this forum costs around $500 to $5000 per week depending on the number of participants a casino accepts. The other platform or we can say social media influencers charge way more than 10's or participants in on forum signature campaigns. A casino has to allocate a lot of money for marketing purpose and if there is no marketing then there are no players.

Liking this action consolidating at $35k.

Let us not rush things.

Yeah, I much prefer a slower, calmer, incremental rise. Then BANG the long awaited Spot ETF approvals, BANG halving, $250,000 per coin in 2025 Wink

Man, that would be the best day of our life when we see Bitcoin at $250k a coin in year 2025. I think Bitcoin might reach $130k per coin in 2025 but men I wish my prediction to go wrong and instead of reaching $130k Bitcoin may reach $250k and the words from your mouth may become a realty.
1556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know about the first public servant paid in bitcoin ? on: November 08, 2023, 10:44:31 PM
His name was Tony Vaughn and he was from Kentucky. He was paid his salary in bitcoin in 2013 , at time when very few even heard about bitcoin. If he would have not sold those bitcoins that he got as salary, he would might have been a billionaire by now. Because bitcoin price at that time was just $1000 a piece , so his wealth would have been about 30 times at current prices.

I haven't heard about Tony Vaughn before this post but as far a I know that Bitcoin's price was still over $13 a single Bitcoin and if that person might have hold his Bitcoin then he would be a millionaire right now. If we think about that in logical perspective then we get the answer that the guy didn't hold his Bitcoin because he received his Bitcoin as salary and mostly we spend our salary on the things that we like and that guy might has converted his Bitcoin into fiat so he could purchase the things that he needed during those days.

My Countdown to: Hero-Member Rank
Number of Merit(s) left: 20

I'm seeking for some help from you guys in order to reach my next rank which's Hero-member rank. I hope to get support from you guys, thanks in advance.
I gave you the last 2 smerit I had in my possession, now you need just 16 from the initial 20 left for your next rank, go on with more quality and constructive contribution on the forum, I believe remaining 16 will arrive sooner than you know it or think, atleast, I know and have seen several of your post around the forum, most especially in the gambling and gambling discussion boards, I trust that a source will come through for you pretty soon.

Goodluck bud, as I and some others wait to celebrate your new rank with you, ever since the merit system was introduced, ranking up has become a major challenge for some users, and achieving Hero rank isn't child play  Grin, fingers crossed 🤞 for your new rank post.

Thanks a lot for your kind words and for those merits. I'm trying my best to contribute as much to the forum as I possibly can and I hope soon I will reach Hero rank. Yeah, I post in gambling board and few other boards. Thanks once again for those words buddy! Smiley

I wanted to visit Ratimov's encyclopedia but I found this error:

here the whole content of the thread and it's title is missing from bitcointalk website and on browser tab too.
I pasted encyclopedia's address to other browser but facing same issue there. I don't know if it is forum related or something else.

Like everyone else said, that's not an error but a conscious decision by the OP of the thread. We can blank our own threads but we can't delete them ourselves and if I'm not wrong then only moderators are allowed to delete the threads of a user. In the above case the OP erased his post because he might have thought that it isn't needed anymore.

I don't know what's going on but I have seen many members of the forum find the actions of Ratimov unacceptable. I don't know what's the matter but I think Ratimov is among the reputed members of the forum. But, I'm not here to take anyone's side and would love to stay away from any clashes that are taking between some members.

That's a very good and accurate chart and truly I feel that the one who made the chart was someone very knowledgeable about Bitcoin and the market. I don't know about others but I do believe in that 4-year Bitcoin cycle and I'm pretty sure that history will repeat itself once again in coming years.

I expect that we will see Bitcoin's next ATH during October to December 2025. I still think that August 2025 is too early for the next ATH because previous ATH's took place in November or December but this time I can feel possibility of a new ATH even in October.
1560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investing plan on: November 08, 2023, 06:21:04 PM
Hello Community,

I have 1500$ and i want to invest it crypto as holdings. What do us suggest invest it all on BTC or alts? Thanks

Invest it into Bitcoin because it's the safest option for you. I won't recommend you the altcoins because they aren't as reliable as Bitcoin and any of them can go zero in value. If still you want to go with altcoins then I recommend you to do your research and choose among the old and well-known altcoins like Monero, Dogecoin, LTC and a few others which have been doing good for many years.

Never ever invest your money into newly launched tokens because they are very risky and you can lose everything. I have personally invested in some of the newly launched coins and lost a lot of money and that's why I recommend you to be careful from those newly launched coins. The old altcoins are still okay as investment but I still prefer Bitcoin investment.
