15501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and XMR on: March 05, 2018, 03:55:57 AM
People use other cryptocurrencies like ETH, LTC, BCH(like it or not), etc too. But compared to BTC and ETH, sites/services that use some of those other coins are definitely significantly lower. Also, take note that some(or most) of the coins are still in their very early development stages, so expect the usability and adoption to be very very low.
15502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can some one guide me to earn bit BTC in Faucet to start investing in Bitcoin on: March 05, 2018, 03:13:34 AM
Faucets were used in the past so people could actually have a hold on a small number of bitcoin just to test it out. It was a never good in terms of making money. You want to invest in bitcoin? Then do it just like how you invest in any other asset. Buy them.

15504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transferring Nano (XRB) from Mercatox to Binance on: March 04, 2018, 01:31:32 PM
Since Binance accepts NANO for trading, then yes. It is possible to move your NANO from Mercatox to Binance. Is it safe? Binance is pretty safe in my opinion, but it's not a very good idea to leave huge amounts of coins on exchanges.
15505  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ► ► ► coinview.pro - digital assets portfolio tracking (feedback needed) on: March 04, 2018, 01:18:45 PM
It surely lacks basic important features like sorting through alphabetically, highest to lowest holdings, highest to lowest in profit, vice versa, etc. Also, I really don't like your user interface. It looks so plain and boring in my opinion. Pretty much like a mid 2000s web design. Your interface is responsive though, so that's a plus. I suggest using Bootstrap[1] for your UI/UX.

15506  Economy / Exchanges / Re: COINS.PH are now Accepting ETherium! on: March 04, 2018, 10:21:25 AM
Etherium Ethereum  Tongue

Good news for the filipinos. But always take note that only use these kinds of app services to purchase the coins, not store them. It's still always recommended to use MyEtherWallet for that purpose.

[1] https://myetherwallet.com/

what is that website? I opened it and it seems to me like some kind of phishing site. Everyone please be careful and don't click on the lnk unless you're sure it's legit web
It's an app specifically for the Philippines.
15507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if Exchanges pairs every Cryptos directly to Fiat? on: March 03, 2018, 12:49:21 PM
If that happens to be the case in the future, then I think certain cryptocurrency's prices won't depend on btc's price that much anymore. Meaning, bitcoin can rise or fall without affecting other coin's price that much.
15508  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet security settings on: March 03, 2018, 12:35:13 AM
One of the most safest methods you're going to get is to just straight out purchase a hardware wallet, preferably a Trezor[1] or a Ledger Nano S[2]. Sure it might be costly for some people, but better safe than sorry. And as always, whatever wallet you're using, it's always best to write down your recovery seed on pieces of papers(non-digitally).

When using a desktop/mobile wallet though, make sure you're device isn't compromised, and that you're seed is not stored on a sort of .txt file or a note app.

15509  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining on: March 02, 2018, 11:57:10 PM
It works, sure. But you'd have to deposit good amounts of bitcoin for your mining plans to actually make a bit of money. Is it good in terms of profitability? Definitely not in my opinion. If you'd want to make profit it's still best to purchase good GPUs and mine certain coins with somewhat low difficulty.
15510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happen to my money on: March 02, 2018, 04:01:38 PM
y send it from my uphold card/wallet to my airtm bitcoin adress 14Pk4cab2xrMAhFWoWQbnN8FbN2e8QEVeu and its still not reflected to my balance since 2 days, i am not veryrelated to blockchain's information so i would like you to help me with this causes its the exact same adress i have on airtm as a funding adress

Based on the data[1] on the wallet address you provided:

Looks like you received BTC0.04818074 on 2018-03-01 04:27:08 and moved the same amount of BTC to another address on 2018-03-01 04:58:41; both transactions approximately 30 minutes apart. Was BTC0.04818074 the right amount? Was it you who moved the funds out to another address?

15511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the online Casino industry help Bitcoin? on: March 02, 2018, 03:54:54 PM
Bitcoin casinos aren't new, they have existed for years already; as they can take advantage of bitcoin being pseudo-anonymous, meaning that most(if not all) bitcoin gambling sites doesn't need to require KYC because of that; only a username and a password(e.g. nitrogensports[1]).

They surely can help bitcoin gain publicity, but the publicity we're going to get out of the casino/gambling sites aren't necessarily good publicity; but hopefully bitcoin wouldn't just be used for only that specific purpose(and for illegal transactions).

15512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happen to my money on: March 02, 2018, 03:49:34 PM
Can you explain once more? but clearly?

So you withdrawn your bitcoin from uphold(uphold.com?) to "a bitcoin wallet". What bitcoin wallet did you withdraw your funds to specifically? As it looks like the funds didn't move to the right address(to the wallet address you provided on the bottom of your post).

Please be more specific with the information you're providing. And NO, bitcoins can't be returned/refunded unless you send them back manually.

Few tips to better secure your ETH assets

1. Buy a hardware wallet, preferrably a Ledger Nano S[1] or a Trezor[2]
2. Store your ETH tokens on your hardware wallet
3. Store your 24-word seed non-digitally

15514  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm 15 how can I start ? on: March 02, 2018, 02:24:15 AM
You start with like what most 15 year olds do. Go to school and stock up on knowledge. Don't expect things to go greatly for you if you prioritize earning money without knowledge; just like with any other industry(including the cryptocurrency space).
15515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I earn a lot on Airdrop? on: March 01, 2018, 03:52:29 PM
Usually, you can only earn huge amounts from airdrops if you hold huge amounts of a specific cryptocurrency(e.g. The Byteball[1] airdrop gives free Byteball Bytes to BTC holders). It's usually the same with most airdrops.

Wikipedia definition[2] of a cryptocurrency airdrop: An airdrop for a cryptocurrency is a procedure of distributing tokens by awarding them to existing holders of a particular blockchain currency, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.

15516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone? on: March 01, 2018, 03:28:22 PM
If you're going to look for services/sites that gives you free crypto (e.g. faucets), then I'd suggest that you work at McDonalds and use the wages to buy crypto instead. Faucets were good in the past if you just want to play around with crypto, but they're not good for actually trying to make money.
15517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin dominance to continue on: March 01, 2018, 02:11:22 PM
Who says Facebook will join the bandwagon and use litecoin anyway? That has always been a rumour. There are no sources to back up this claim.

But yea, bitcoin up at 40% market dominance. Will continue to stay that way as long as bitcoin is still one of the most used trading pair on exchanges.
15518  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: TREZOR Model T touchscreen on: March 01, 2018, 03:25:08 AM
all operations requiring entry of confidential data will be done exclusively on the device screen,12-word and 24-word seed.
It has always been like this though, even with the non-touch screen Trezor, and the Ledger Nano S.  Tongue

Now that you mentioned it, I personally didn't like the touchscreen since first the screen is just small so navigating feels kinds off and there's misclicks too. Honestly, I prefer the buttons more but we'll see when the reviews come  Cheesy
Pretty much. It just comes down to personal preference. One upside of a touch screen is probably that it will last longer compared to the buttons of the Trezor and Ledger Nano S, as they just feels so fragile in my opinion. Personally I'll stick with the Ledger Nano S though, I prefer that sort of USB flash drive look.
15519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Teens in cryptoworld on: March 01, 2018, 02:55:46 AM
I think there is no matter how old are you if you have a brain. If someone does something like that while he is just a teen, he has a good future.

Not necessarily. It's debatable if a person would have a good future if he/she makes stupid investing decisions like going all in on bitcoin with their life savings. Sure, it can work; for sure. But it's a very irresponsible decision.
15520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Teens in cryptoworld on: February 28, 2018, 03:10:41 PM
In this case it can also be the true) Really good joke, I think at the start we all were such experts, weren't we? Cool
Probably, for some people. But there's a difference between being really confident and being really cocky.

This is a world open to all and both adolescents and adults can participate in the improvement of the new economy based on cryptocurrencies. there are teenagers who surprise with their knowledge in blockchain and unburden themselves better than many adults
Yep. Pretty much. On the bright side, at least more teenagers are being engaged in to investing nowadays. I don't think that's a bad thing.
