15561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have a favorite city or country to spend time and Bitcoins? on: May 16, 2015, 07:19:27 AM
I'll probably visit Hongkong with my girl if ever I want to spend bitcoins as bitcoins. From what I've heard, it is a tax-free shopping district and there are lots of good stores in HK alone. Smiley
15562  Economy / Economics / Re: In concept, is bitcoin more currency or payments system? on: May 16, 2015, 06:12:42 AM
From what it has become, it's more of like a payment system rather than being a true currency imo. The usage rate is not that widely distributed among countries, but the potential is there.
15563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: May 15, 2015, 07:07:37 PM
afaik btc atm will have biometric id in the US,  no thank you

Really? That would be too invasive in terms of identification if you would ask me. Even banks here in my country doesn't implement that. Huh

Certain ones do ask for palm prints and face scans. You also need to give phone numbers, ID and probably your first born child too.

You need to choose carefully as there are much more anonymous ones too. It's up to the owner and what machine they're running.

With the above methods of identification you've just stated, we're lucky that banks here don't implement those. Only a scan of 2 valid IDs and proof of billing among others are the only requirement for you to start a transaction with the banks. Some banks on other countries are just too damn invasive. I can't live with that, honestly.

Hi Girls,

awesome exchange which you have!

But why is our withdrawal minimum at 4 BTC? .....

Wait, what? Minimum withdrawal of 4 btc is a requirement now? Huh
15565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Presenting BIT-X at the Prague Bitcoin Conference on: May 15, 2015, 06:52:35 PM
Still having doubts whether I'll get my own card or not, but if ever I'm in Prague right now, I'll definitely get that card and if possible, the girl sitting in the picture too. Cheesy Btw, good to see Bit-X in the flesh. I wonder when will you guys go in our country (The Philippines) but I think that would be improbable for the next coming years or so.

What's there to doubt? Don't you get a free one if you're on the campaign? Might as well get one sent out for free even if you're not going to use it.

It's just that part of me wants to use it and the other part don't. And also, why would I get one if I won't use it? Though it's free, it would be useless if I didn't use it.

Those fees. Sad

what i mean that bitcoiners keep 50000$(exmple)"Fortun" in PC with 500$ is it logic ?

in my point of view they have to be affraid about their safety,i don't know but i think its a problem,Almost our transactions are not anonym so anyone
could know how much we have in our wallet,so we will be all "targets" (we have to paid bodey gard for our PC)

i keep alot of wealth on something worth half a penny..

its called a piece of paper (wallet) and no one can hack it unless they are physically at the location.. and even then it would be hard to obtain

Indeed. It wouldn't cost a person much to create a single piece of a paper wallet. It's just a matter of keeping the paper wallet in a safe place wherein it is hard to be obtained by any means, most especially by the ones who doesn't know how and where will they acquire it.
15568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you mine it or buy it? on: May 15, 2015, 10:47:15 AM
I bought worth $5 BTC and invested it. After days goes by I already have now $100 but it's hard to earn it.
would you care to share what did you invest your $5 worth of bitcoin in and also how long did it take you to reach $100 ?

most likely altcoin "investments". these can explode in price from time to time. if not, then i also want to know how you made $100 with only 5 bucks.

$5 worth of btc could be grown even up to a hundred dollars. Smiley The most logical investment there is would probably be the altcoin trading scene. There are coins that shoots up prices up to a thousand times in a short span of time, and it is likely to be a pump coin. However, it would be too dangerous to get in once a coin started boosting up in price rapidly because you don't know whether the pump will stop or not.

It depends on how are you going to keep your coins as secure as possible even though there are some in your inner circle that knows you have $5000 worth of bitcoins or even more. It is up to the owner and not the people around him/her whether he/she would take the necessary procedures for his/her assets to be safe. Hell, I can even keep a couple of thousand $ in a paper wallet that cost me some cents if I would like, and I'll probably keep it in a place wherein I'm the only one that can access it.
15571  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: May 15, 2015, 04:49:18 AM
I think is better to invest than gambled. because in investment you can earn a big profit than gamling. but in gambling even if gambling and investment are both high risk. in gambling you can be addicted to it and you can loss a big money but in investment, how much you invest that will loss to you.

I think investing is not a best way. Because you can loss your money that you have hard work for it. And we are talking about saving not how you can earned. My idea or my thread helps you how to do that. Just follow it  and i assure you that you won't blame me.

Theres so many types of saving. You can invest your income here to bitcoin investment and in the real life you may save your salary or vice versa. And its all depend on you what are you going to do with your money.

Yeah thats right you can't earn a big profit if you only save. But i said that your saving can spend what you want like make a business that 100% that can earn a big profit like having a rental house.

By the looks of it OP, you still aren't so sure about what method are you going to choose over the other. Personally, what method are you using right now? Saving, investing, or gambling? The progression of the thread is nice to read, but I noticed that you seem to change positions every now and then so I think I would ask you this question. Smiley
15572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anti-Bitcoin bill -- Please tell N.C. to vote no! on: May 15, 2015, 04:37:43 AM
There's an anti-bitcoin bill being debated in california right now too.

Basically, if you want to sell BTC in california then you have to pay a non-refundable $5000 fee to the institution, might or might not be approved, and then the state gets full oversight of your entire operation...

It's ridiculous.

That's outright insane! So how can I get bitcoins in Cali without those $5000 fee safely? Or simply, how can you buy without being tracked down by the gov't?

I'm from a different country, but I would gladly support this cause for our bitcoin brothers in NC. If this is possible, kindly cross-post this to other boards in the forum where it will be appropriate such as Politics and Society and Economy. I don't think that will be a bother in the first place.
15573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: May 15, 2015, 04:12:48 AM
Last days I bet and gamble,if you know to have a control it is a good method of growing your bitcoins
But you can't teach or refer the gambling or betting to beginners. Because it is not the way how they will earn a coins. I think they should have a enough knowledge to gamble.

Well he doesn't even say that he's advising you to gamble; he's probably stating that he made some coins by gambling. That's a completely different thing.

There is no easy method of growing Bitcoin. Every methods have some risk. I prefer trading.
Hi , That have no sense trading need patience , and not a confirmed way to earn bitcoin
you may be looser or winner so 50% in each trade and that's  Roll Eyes not cool .

Bitcoin Boy .

If you need 100% to invest you should buy bonds and not play with cryptocurrency Wink
[/quote]

Indeed. Investing 100% on a coin is not a smart move in trading alts. That could probably result into a loss unless something happen. There are cases when an exchange freezes trading because of some suspicious activities happening in the coin. A diversified altfolio is still idea in trading.
15574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is profitable, Dice Site Investment Vs Cloud Mining? on: May 14, 2015, 02:40:42 PM
Cloud mining is not profitable at all,so I'd say dice investment, but it's not a totally secure investment because you may finish losing too,but if you have luck you will win

Well a 100% secured investment doesn't exist in this world anyway. Also, the higher the return, the higher the risks will be. It is still up to the investor how will he/she minimize the possible risks he/she might encounter along the way and use his/her investments properly and cleverly. In investing in the crypto world, timing is a big factor because if you got a bit late, chances are you'll end up burning your investments almost instantly instead of using those for some profit.
15575  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: May 14, 2015, 02:08:38 PM
Sometimes I wait months before doing any move. My latest move was buying MAID, now it's gone down, im testing waters, I still think the coin is insanely undervalued, therefore I consider rebuying in a couple of days, i'll keep waiting and waiting, until I achieve my goal, and i'll sell a % that covers my initial investment, and hold until im happy with it.

Similar method that I'm using when it comes to altcoin trading. Sometimes while waiting, I'd research some coins with "promising" features that will definitely get its audiences hooked. This is mainly done with newly released coins, and if I think that this particular coin will get big, I'll start mining it. Keep a decent stash before it hit the exchange. Well, a trader knowledgeable enough in the markets wouldn't offload all of his coins at once and at the first time a coin hit an exchange; he will wait for the right time to execute a massive dump. You first need to recoup whatever $$$ you spent in getting such a decent stash and whatever is left would be good for profit and for playing. Smiley
15576  Economy / Speculation / Re: Low volume trades, No one wants this shitcoin anymore on: May 14, 2015, 01:51:49 PM
Ignored. Why the hell would people create another account just for posting this kind of thread? We can openly discuss this with your main account if you want to, and I agree that this is also a serious issue we need to discuss as a community, but why with a shill? I'm not only looking at the positive side, I'm also delving in the negative as well. Low volume isn't all that matters; there are a lot of factors to be looked upon, not only numbers.
15577  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: May 14, 2015, 01:40:20 PM
Question: why is the bitsig.website isn't detecting my id? I tried it earlier and it seems to be running okay and when I changed to the current signature, it says signature deleted. Huh

EDIT: All good now. Also, received payment for the past 2 weeks without any hassles or delay. Smiley Thank you very much for running such a great campaign, marcotheminer and Bit-X! Cheesy
15578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is profitable, Dice Site Investment Vs Cloud Mining? on: May 14, 2015, 01:37:23 PM
Cloud mining nowadays is a scary "investment" if you would ask me because apparently, the operators of this kind of service never show their identity to their peers and investors. Also, they can easily create some "proofs" that would help them hide their true intentions by showing pictures of their "mining hardware". Most of the time, this cloud mining sites turn out to be a pyramid scheme, giving some "mining revenues" to their investors as long as it is "profitable" and after some months or a year, will turn out to be a scam and poof! All coins gone.

Dice site investment on the other hand, is also risky but is less scarier compared to its cloud mining counterpart in terms of investment. Dice site could actually give you some profit over time unless a lucky player shatters the whole house within a single moment. The house edge is proven to be unbeatable over time and the house always wins. But there are times when the house loses to a single entity that could cripple some investments on it.

Whatever the case, still your choice in the end.

You're right but there is no way to be sure that a gambling site won't run away when it has accumulated enough funds. Bitcoin investments are always risky because there is no central authority regulating the funds and there is also no legal agreements.

I say both have equal risks but there has been less instances of gambling sites running away with people's funds in the past as compared to so called Cloud Mining sites, so I guess they can be considered a little safe for now and if a Gambling site is running a legit business than it will provide better profits in long term to it's investors.

There are no certainties in the crypto world. As long as there is an influx of money, scammers and the likes would probably be riding the waves for profit. Amazingly, there are services and gambling sites that are rock-solid up until now and proven that they are worthy of the trust given by the community to them, like Primedice and just-dice Smiley
15579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unbelievable amount of misinformation about Bitcoin on: May 14, 2015, 01:24:27 PM
Funny how this kind of information about the origins of the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto still cracks me up. Smiley The names could perfectly fit, but it is very contradicting if those powers really want authority and control because firstly, why would they leave it as an open-source project if they want total control? Like seriously, if someone wants total control, he/she would definitely leave the source among his/her inner circles only and not for the public to view.
15580  Other / Meta / Re: scammer gave me a Negative trust because He Defaulted in loan on: May 14, 2015, 01:14:37 PM
There's actually nothing you can do about it, honestly, unless he removed the feedback himself. Also, you have the control of the account right?
