For me, Feyenoord are as good as champions, but they also deserve it, unlike Ajax and PSV, who have simply been too weak this year. In the round after next (round 30) there will probably be a small run-off for second place when PSV play against Ajax. I don't think AZ can catch up with PSV and Ajax again.

I agree with this. Feyenoord really deserve this. They have been the most consistent team in the league all season long. Ajax and PSV just picked up their form almost halfway into the season. Both Ajax and PSV can't catch up with Feyenoord anymore, it would take a miracle for that to happen.
They will have to fight for the second position. The second position makes it to the champions league play-off and since every team wants to be in the biggest competition in Europe, they'll fight hard for it.
Game week 30 might be the decider because that's when PSV and Ajax will face off. I feel the winner of that match might hold on to the second position and I have a feeling it would be Ajax.

Mac Allister seems to be definitely heading out of Brighton this summer. His impressive display at the 2022 world cup with Argentina has brought a lot of club to him. Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all seem pretty serious in signing the world cup star but right now it seems Manchester United has the upper hand in the race. Mac Allister wants to play Champions league football and from the look of things, only the red side of Manchester can guarantee that among the three clubs.
Mac Allister's father also confirmed a while ago that his son won't be at Brighton for next season.
Nothing is decided yet as to what colours he would were next.

In other news, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Man United have been joined by Tottenham in the pursuit for the 90 million euros rated Barça youngster; Ansu Fati.
Barcelona may be forced to sell Fati if they can get an offer of than range for him because they need to money to settle their finance issues and also reduce their wage bill. Plus, it also creates room for them to bring Lionel Messi back to the club.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 13, 2023, 02:21:11 PM
It looks like Sevilla is going to stay in La Liga. They have certainly not played exceptionally well. But they have played well enough to get out of the relegation zone. They have played horribly and they have also started the season horribly as well. But now they have at least improved compared to that. So relegation is not a big problem for them right now but that is also in arms reach.

Sevilla now have things under control when it comes to the relegation battle. They have been able to climb up the table, even if they're just five points clear from the relegation zone. They will not be going to get relegated if the keep on the course they're on. Since the sacking of Lopuitegui they've managed to get better a little.

The relegation battle now is on Valencia. I don't know how they're going to manage to remain in La Liga. Valencia just keeps losing and drawing while getting an occasional win from time to time. They have to sit up in the remaining ten league games of the La Liga season if they still want to be here next season.

A day that was like a nightmare for Chelsea. In the first half their performance looked bad, the constant pressure exerted by Real Madrid renders Chelsea incapable of such action. In the second half, it got even worse, the red card received by Chilwell made Chelsea even more hopeless. Fortunately, Real Madrid was only able to add one goal, because of so many good opportunities that Real Madrid had failed to become goals.

Real Madrid is not a team that posses games or constantly pressure their opponent every time but they were able to do both things to Chelsea, it shows how bad Chelsea was. Not like I was expecting anything different from Chelsea but this was even below my expectation. Chelsea was able to force only one good save from Courtois, and that was early on in the first half from Joao Felix.
Kepa tried his best actually. The second goal scored by Asensio shows the lack of concentration by Chelsea. They were all in and around the box but they just allowed Asensio space to shoot. The marking was poor since before the ball got to Vinicuis.
Like I've always said, you can't be a serious club that wants to win the champions league and hire Lampard as your coach. They were lucky Madrid was in that mood today, it should have been more than 2 goals.

Rayo Vallecano is favored because they are playing as the host. But Osasuna has the ability to steal points in this match. Not without reason because they also have good abilities, especially now that they are a team that will compete in the Copa del Rey final after they got rid of Atletico Bilbao in the semifinals. Indeed, I'm not too sure they can win, but even if they don't win it looks like they will be able to bring home 1 point.

That game may easily be a draw. It could even be a goalless draw. Both teams have been poor in the league for the past couple of games.
Rayo hasn't won a game in their last seven fixtures. This is the first time this season they have gone this far without a win.
I know they're a mid table team but this kind of form is alarming from them. They usually get a win in at least every 3 to 4 matches.
Osasuna too is not in a very good form despite knocking out Bilboa a few weeks back. They also won Elche last weekend, but that shouldn't be a surprise, Elche is the worst team in the league this season.
I don't think I will bet on that game but if I'm to bet, I'm going with a draw.

Juventus and Arsenal have a completely different understanding in their game plans. Sporting might not be able to perform in the same way they did against Arsenal.

I think Juventus are ahead of Sporting in this round just as Arsenal were also. Yes maybe Sporting managed to find a way to eliminate Arsenal by penalties but I think they have used up all their chance by that. If Juventus concentrate on the Europa League fully then I just expect them to eliminate Sporting. But it should be by a small gap at the same time. Because there isn't a huge difference between these two teams now. Sporting must have improved their morale incredibly much by eliminating Arsenal. This tournament is likely to be their only way to the Champions League also.

Juventus is the favorite of this tie, but so was Arsenal in the previous one.
Like you said, Juventus approach games differently, and that could work to their favor, and at the same time it could also be a disadvantage to them. Juve can be disappointing at times that's why I can't trust them. The way I see it, it's a pretty close game. Sporting are also motivated and they know they can win this, they did not respect Arsenal despite the form Arsenal is in, and they are not about to respect Juventus.
That's the fun part about the European competitions, no games are easy at this point of the tournament. A simple mistake may take you out of the competition.

Bayern Munich lost to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
I've been getting a lot of predictions slightly wrong lately. I knew Manchester City would win Bayern Munich yesterday but I didn't think it would be so easy for Man City. If not for Bayern's goalkeeper, Sommer it would have easily be 5-0 for City. Not factual, but I believe Man City would have had it more difficult if they were against Negelsmann"s Bayern.

Inter Milan won over Benfica in Lisbon, Portugal.
This is a fixture I got totally wrong and I lost money because of it.

Chelsea will be tested by Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu amid a lack of confidence throughout the season and this is Lampard's moment.
AC Milan will welcome Napoli.
Napoli fans still remember their favorite team's defeat at home.

I'm still sticking with a Madrid win in today's game. Lampard's Chelsea are in no shape to win Madrid. I may be in for a surprise again but from the look of thing there will be no surprises in that game.

I was certain Napoli would trash AC Milan but I must confess now I'm not too sure about that. I cant predict this game and I'm not going to bet on it. Let me just enjoy the game.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 12, 2023, 01:15:02 PM
Both teams still have difficult games ahead irrespective of the strength of their opponents. Throw in an FA Cup Semi, another UCL QF and by the looks of it, 2 UCL games, plus the Brighton (A) rescheduled game, I can’t see Manchester city winning every game. I never fully believed Arsenal would win the league but they have very nearly got me believing, they've massively stepped up and I hope it continues… I do think Manchester City have the more favourable run in but it’s not over.

As it stands, Man City got the upper hand to win the league. I Want Arsenal to win but I have to be realistic.
We know that Man City is a team that can absorb all the pressure thrown at them. The FA cup and Champions league cannot hinder them from winning the league if they are at there best and its looking like they are at there best, or at least getting there. They get better are the season progresses.
Arsenal needs to win Man City and win all there remaining games to win the league, that is if Man City doesn't drop any more point.
I will feel really bad for Arsenal if they do not win this league because they have fought really hard and come very close to winning it. I don't know when they will have an opportunity like this again if they miss this one.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: EFL Carabao Cup 2022/23 Season (English Football League) on: April 11, 2023, 02:40:06 PM
I think Manchester United were labelled as a failing team in the first couple of games in to their season but the vital win against Liverpool set them back on the road to recovery. Ten Hag made a huge decision to bench Maguire and that somehow kick-started their season with Martinez and Varane occupying the central defensive positions.

They won the Carabao Cup and are still in the semi-final of the FA Cup, the quarter-final of the Europa League and are joint 3rd in the Premier League therefore they have made progress.

Any body who understands football will know that Ten Hag was a good coach. The way Manchester United played even at the beginning of the season when they were losing shows that Ten Hag knew what he was doing, but I must confess I thought he would need more time to get things right. I felt this way because watching the Manchester United players play you'd see they struggled to execute things on the pitch exactly how Ten Hag wanted. His concepts were alien to them.
Take for example, Ten Hag is a manager that loves his team to always be on the ball by releasing it very quickly to their teammates. United players struggled with this because they were not used to that style of play, but look how quickly they all adapted.

There is still a lot of room for development in that team and a lot of positions that needs to be filled by the right players, but from what Ten Hag has done so far, we can say that he might be the coach to return Manchester United to her glory days.

People are more focused on the high profile game between Manchester City and Bayern Munich but I think the most unpredictable fixture will be the Benfica vs Inter Milan Match.
Benfica has been on an incredible form lately, although they lost their last match to Porto over the weekend. Before the Porto game they have won the previous six games they have player. That's a lot of consistency. Lets also not forget that Benfica is at the top of the Portuguese league with seven points ahead of Porto.

Milan on the other hand have been the opposite of Benfica in recent time. Inter Milan have not won a single game in their last six matches, that is really poor for a team like Inter. Because of their poor performance recently, they keep slipping down on the Italian league table. At a point they were 2nd position on the table, now they are 5th and not sure if they will be playing ucl football next season.

I'm going with Benfica to win in this fixture. The worst that Benfica can get out of this is a draw, which won't be a good result for them because they are playing on home soil.

He was managed Derby County, but he doesn't make any change. Without any achievement, then he managed Chelsea, nothing change again. He managed Everton, still nothing change.

Lampard is only have a privilege since he was a veteran player in Chelsea, that's make people respect him and he already have a good relationship with Chelsea, but as a coach he's absolutely bad and nothing we can expect about him.

Lampard is only good to become a temporary manager, if Chelsea already find a good manager, he can become an interim manager or just kick him out.

Lampard is not a good coach, I can call him average at best. He has the modern day coaching mentality, that's why his team try to play well, but he's not tactical in any way. I think he should just stick to the lower leagues or a mid table team.
In all the teams he has coached there have not been any significant difference.
His first season at Chelsea, he was decent, given the fact that the team was under a sanction that made it impossible for them to sign any new players, but after then he was just awful. He is very similar to Potter, but a little better. They both manage to make their team look busy but they actually do nothing with the ball.

After sacking Potter, if Chelsea have managed to get a good coach, they would have stood a better chance against Madrid because even Madrid is not in a very good form but instead they went with Lampard. I still struggle to understand how the management of Chelsea don't see that as a bad decision.
Well, lets hope he can surprise me and prove me wrong.

@Bobrox Bayern’s old nemesis Haaland is bound to hurt them a lot again, and I expect him to score at least one goal and continuously torture Bayern defenders. Also with Tuchel Bayern have a coach who understands City first hand, but that too won’t help Bayern because I feel that City will completely crush them and almost secure their promotion to the semi final’s.

I doubt City will "completely crush" Bayern. I see City winning the game and the round in general but I don't think they will crush Bayern. Aside the fact that Tuchel understands City's game, Bayern is a team that know how to play against teams that play like Man City. They will allow you have your possession and make your short passes but once they get the ball they stretch their opponents with long balls and counter. Sane, Gnabry, Coman, Musiala, theyre all very fast players and also good dribblers. Man city have to be very careful of how far they attack because if they are caught out of position, Bayern can and will hurt them.
Pep can also be a victim of his own smartness today again as usual. He always likes to twerk things and try out new tactics. He should be very careful of the decisions he makes going forward in this competition because they can either make him or break him.

The game will be tough and very interesting because the both team are good performing, the both teams are strong enough to be the winner of the game. Manchester City are good in scoring goals but Bayern Munich won't give them the chance of scoring plenty of goals. It is hard to predict which team to be the winner in this game.

Yea it will be a very tough game. They're both two teams that know how to create a lot of chances and they're both very attacking minded. Bayern under Tuchel will be a little conservative (so I believe), so they will let Manchester City enjoy majority of the possession while Bayern will hit them on the counter attack. Bayern has very fact players and players that can give accurate passes, which is very necessary for a counter to work.
The game might go one of two ways; It may be an open match where both teams just score each other and they just try to outscore each other or it will be a very closed game where both teams will not want to slip up and make any mistakes that their opponent can exploit.
I lean on Manchester City to win though

Can Leverkusen go for even a Champions League spot? Maybe they can even make this happen but their job is going to be very difficult anyway. Because there are technically four teams in total together with Leverkusen fighting for that goal. I don't think Leverkusen's main goal is to qualify for the Champions League for now. Because they are even four points away from the fifth position. However if they manage to catch up with the position then it isn't a dream for them to make it to the CL as well.

Leverkusen have come a really long way until this point indeed. They absolutely deserve to play in a tournament next season. But they had better focus on the Europa League title as well. Because who knows maybe their ticket to the CL might be there.

Bayern Leverkusen have been really impressive. I would like to see them in the champions league next season but they teams ahead of them are very impressive too. Leipzig and Union Berlin are very impressive teams especially Union Berlin.
The four points between Leverkusen and Leipzip may be seem like much but it is. The four points is big because the teams above team would most likely not slip up to the extent of dropping out of the top 4. Leverkusen might overtake Feiburg but I don't thin they will make it to the top four.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 10, 2023, 08:03:30 PM
The draw that was achieved against Liverpool is certainly regretted by Arsenal. Now their hopes of winning the Premier League are getting tougher because it is highly likely that Manchester City will be able to catch them. April 29 will be the final for Manchester City and Arsenal. If The Citizens are able to overturn the team from London then of course Pep's chances of taking over the top of the standings from the Gunners are even more real because Man.City also has one game remaining that has not been played.

However, if we look at the schedule of the remaining matches, then the road for Arsenal is very difficult and it is likely that they will slip again. Meanwhile, Manchester City they have relatively easier remaining matches, the only obstacle for City is that they have to share their concentration on other tournaments.

I really wanted Arsenal to win Liverpool. It would have really boosted their title fight. The draw puts them in a very uncomfortable place even if they're still six points ahead of Man City. Man City has an outstanding match which I believe they will win. In the mode Man City are at the moment it will be very difficult for them to drop point, but I believe its possible for them to drop point. Their match against Arsenal will be very crucial in the title race, whoever wins that match may be the winner of the league.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 10, 2023, 07:40:16 PM
Girona is a team that is in the middle zone of the standings, but based on the results of away matches so far this season, Girona is in the bottom zone. So, Girona doesn't have good abilities when playing away and what's more, in this match Girona will play away against Barcelona, which in fact this season Barcelona is fairly good for all results in matches in La Liga.

Also, Girona have never managed to beat Barcelona in a La Liga match from the past until now, so it's pretty clear that Barcelona will definitely win. Instead of betting on Girona which has no chance of winning, then I think it would be better for you to bet on Barcelona's win but with quite high money. Or, you can choose other options such as HT/FT wins, Asian Handicap and correct scores etc., because these options can allow you to get pretty good odds too.

Its going to be a difficult match for Barcelona either way. They are without so much key players, Christensen, Frankie, Dembele, Pedri. Barcelona will definitely posses the game as they always do but they will find it difficult to score goals. People blame Lewandoski but I don't think its his fault because almost all the creative players in Barcelona are not available. Barcelona is also eleven points clear at the top so they might not be as motivated as they use to, plus there is the fact that their morale may be down after the Madrid loss. I see the match as a match that will end 1-0 in favor of Barcelona.

You must have heard about the speculations about Ancelotti. He is expected to leave his job in the summer no matter how many titles they get in this season. If this is really true then I wonder if he has some other plans to do in his mind. Actually Ancelotti has been a really good manager for this team. His very successful run in the previous season is still in my mind. Maybe they can't win the La Liga title this season but there is still a chance for the Champions League and Copa del Rey titles on one hand.

I strongly believe Ancelotti will leave Madrid at the end of the season. There are even rumors that he will sign with Brazil.
He has been good for Madrid, he won the league and Champions league last season. He's favorite to win the Copa del Rey and is still among the favorites to win the champions league this season but it's the best decision to leave at the end of the season. In clubs like Madrid, it's better to leave the club when you've done it all. Don't wait till things start going badly before you leave or get sacked.
Despite how many trophies he has won, I think the team is slowly declining in terms of performance. Maybe it's because they need new players but if Ancelotti stays beyond this season, I feel he'll get sacked.

Liverpool have been making moves to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Liverpool tried to sign Touchemeni last season but they lost him to Real Madrid. Their interest in Tchouameni have not dwindled even after a full season. Liverpool are planning to make a 70 million euros offer for the France international. Tchouameni has not had a bad season at Madrid but he might be out of the club after just spending one season after arriving for 70 million euros. Ancelotti prefers the vasatile Cammavinga to play the defensive midfield role ahead of Tchouameni.
Tchouameni is a technical player and would fit into Jurgen Klopps team.
It's looking like Liverpool will be a very busy club during the summer transfer window.
