1561  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: September 02, 2018, 01:12:27 AM
I'm wondering how all this discussion ended up?

LOL IDK but GOX is starting to pay back!

Isn’t it in February?  And you get 2013 prices.   Roll Eyes

Greetings everybody. Reserve an alien translation slot for me, this plan is going to the moon and soon will possibly landed on Mars and i will try to translate their whitepaper for Mars residence.

There’s your first merit for that inspiring clever post!
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: September 01, 2018, 10:18:22 PM
Millions of coins were distributed to short sighted people and on top of that BTC et al have crashed so going to $1 or lower is to be expected.

If I expected that price will drop to 1$ I would sell it after airdrop at 8$ and buy 8x more coins now! Who expected that really? Who believe in project did not expect for sure!

I believed in the project yet at $15 I said it was going to $5 and then I said it was going to $1.

And here we are.

The gravity forces of inflation cannot be denied!

This kind of riddling is above me.

That dude is on a warpath.  I love it!

I'm still confused.

Im trying figure him out too but I like where’s he’s going.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- The Riddle of the Twin Brothers - Who Were, Are and Will Rule the World! on: September 01, 2018, 05:22:21 PM

I don’t recommend coins to buy on this thread unless I’m willing to risk a lot on.  This one has a massive use case that can accelerate its user base like wildfire.  It’s just getting started so if you have the BTC I would invest.  Short term and long term big winner.

I'm wearing your sig just because its cool. Good luck!

Taking your wonderful lead, bud, is it as cool as the one I created (and now wearing) thanks to your efforts?

Participants in the sig campaign will have the option of choosing the one above or the one below, the links to both images found in the OP:

To be clear, the latter is our official token design, whereas the former is only for sig campaign purposes.

Errr, not to be a pan handling east blocker but I’m a pan handling east blocker.  Did my ears hear:  Sig Campaign?!   Grin
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: September 01, 2018, 05:11:35 PM
The price of doge is so amazing today. It's really tempting if to sell or hold more.  But I will just apply my normal principle which is sell some and hold some in case it goes up more.

Up 70% today?  170% 7 day run.

What gives?  I see no news that would cause this run.  Maybe the dog is going to Coinbase.  That would do it.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: September 01, 2018, 05:09:36 PM

Jaxx for iOS still hasn’t updated to include BTX.  Anybody have any idea when that’s gonna happen?  This was a great partnership to add.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: September 01, 2018, 05:06:36 PM
Who is using Bitcore now for anything except speculation that the price will go up?

Be honest now!  Smiley

Anybody that can see past pumps, ICOs and free airdrops.

Millions of coins were distributed to short sighted people and on top of that BTC et al have crashed so going to $1 or lower is to be expected.

I guess that once we hit the bottom to buy BTX for pennies will be a one lifetime occasion - but when will the bottom be in? That is the question. The deepness of this bear market is truly impressive and to try to cacth a falling knive after a few attempts becomes simply too painful.

I agree.  We keep getting lower lows after fake recovery attempts.  I hope we’re not in another multi year bear market.  That would destroy most alts beyond recovery.

They’re Bryce back - going back to Africa to sign that really big telecom deal.   Roll Eyes

Jokes, just be careful what you ask for.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: September 01, 2018, 03:14:50 AM
Seems to be slowing down. Hope it doesn't just drop back down right after.

Up 80% in 7 days, 40% just today, it has to consolidate some.

What’s the reason for the recent run - can’t find much?
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: August 31, 2018, 06:18:45 PM
Just read the big news
Litecoin got listed on yahoo finance
This is supreme litecoin to easy 2000usd by the end of the year or who knows probably more
The news is really good for the community. But where do you get the price of$ 2000 per ltc? Now it seems to me at all difficult to predict something in such a thin market.

Coinbase, Gemini and a few other exchanges that are targeting institutional investors is what’s gonna drive certain coins to a very high level.  Not yahoo finance showing a 15 minute delayed quote.  CMC is a better choice or free apps like Blockfolio.
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MAXcoin - PoW, ASIC Resistance, Keccak GPU Mining on: August 31, 2018, 04:13:35 PM

Any rumors of max Keizer coming back to MAX?  I remembered he originally pumped this coin to around $2-$3.

I heard some talk a few months ago but not sure it was for real.  TIA!

1575  Economy / Speculation / Re: GBTC Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: August 31, 2018, 12:24:22 PM
There's a new notice to shareholders on the upcoming vote to amend the trust agreement: https://grayscale.co/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/BTC-Notice-to-Shareholders.pdf

And here's a marked copy of the changes: https://grayscale.co/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/BTC-REDLINE-5th-AR-Trust-Agreement.pdf

TLDR, does anybody see anything significant in the changes?

With Coinbase’s custody plans buying the illiquid GBTC seems kind of silly.

Plus soon we should see real ETFs.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GameCoin (GME) - Current version = v0.8.4.2 on: August 31, 2018, 12:20:19 PM
To my mind the best choice for you it's buy bitcoin and EOS. In long term it is the best choice which you can imagine, mb you can add Ethereum in your portfolio but I don't like this altcoin.

Yeah but which coin is the real bitcoin?  The one that is losing txs volume and can’t scale?  It’s not 2013 anymore.
1577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: August 30, 2018, 03:44:26 AM
Litecoin now available for buying/selling at Yahoo Finance.

"Mass adoption is achieved one step at a time." Wink

What?  Is this a new feature?  Yahoo finance is just a finance site, not an exchange.  Gemini/Nasdaq is the place to be.

Soon!
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: August 29, 2018, 10:14:17 PM
What`s wrong with BTX? why do you think, that it is a scam? I think it is really best payment solution. Answer me, please, i wanna know. Huh

I hope BTX will take over BCH next year.
so your saying BCH will crash to 1$ next year?

I think Bitcore will be more valuable than Bitcoin Cash by next year

It really depends where Dr. Wright goes.  There is infighting there and without him BCH is DOA!
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Are you ready for the future? on: August 28, 2018, 02:38:28 PM
is this BTX project dying as the other Bitsend project ?

Ofcourse it is dying.

I suppose it depends on how one chooses to define "dying" with respect to a software development project.

I can think of three definitions :

1) the code and/or supporting materials (i.e. artifacts) have not changed during a particular span of time X
2) no new efforts at marketing and/or gaining new supporters have been initiated during a particular span of time Y
3) no enthusiasm for the project has been demonstrated by existing supporters during a particular span of time Z

Of course one could define software development death as a combination of the above 3 as well (and of course of other definitions which i haven't thought of).

I can say that from the point of view of 1) above, commits have continually been made to the code and/or artifacts over the last year, and specifically three commits were made as recently as last week. That tells me that unless the span of time X is less than a week, one could conclude that the project is not "dead." To see the rates of commits, you can see the chart here : https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/graphs/commit-activity

I don't have insight on points 2 or 3 above, because my use of social networks involving BTX is restricted to this bitcointalk forum. this leaves out many other networks, such as twitter, discord, wechat (china), reddit, line (japan), facebook, etc.  (you can see a list of those here : https://bitcore.cc/community/ ). I think a good gauge of both marketing and enthusiasm could be measured by "real" activity in these networks ("real" meaning "not generated by bots"), but since i dont keep up with them other than this forum, my measurement of marketing and enthusiasm is limited to that displayed in this forum, which means I feel I don't have enough data to offer an opinion on either 2) or 3).

the fact that the code is available on Github, however, brings up an interesting point. Can code on github ever really "die?" i ask this because presumably even if all 3 of the definitions above were to return true values, with reasonable values for X, Y, and Z, the code would still be "out there" on github. Which means another group could take it over and develop it.  i.e. "resurrection" is a possibility.

personally i am pleased with the efforts and transparency shown so far by the current team, so even though the price is currently very low i do not believe the project is dead. It is "dying" in the sense that most cryptocurrency projects are "dying" - there is bound to be a winnowing out of the projects out there to replace bitcoin. The question, i think, is whether the project can remain strong enough with respect to whatever definition we assign to the "dying" process (i.e. preliminarily with 1-3 above) such that it outlasts the other dying competitors to be one of the viable options to replace btc. (or to live alongside of it). From what i've seen of the contents of bitcoin forums of other competing coins, i feel that BTX has a decent chance of survival.

2 and 3 are covered .

I agree.  People are being so short sighted.  Wake up.  BTX is on wholesale - like buying bitcoin 7 years ago.
