1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BritCoin] x13 PoW+PoS Hybrid with no IPO - Bittrex - Multipool Added [BRIT] on: July 17, 2014, 03:30:06 PM
I have updated the OP with the full names of the staff behind BritCoin and our position on the sanctity of the Brit blockchain.

I'm now in the process of updating the 'Updates' paragraph with more details in to how our PR/media campaign is going, keep an eye out. Smiley

Taken on-board, working on it. Smiley  Will make a post when OP is updated. Smiley

Now that Britcoin is developing some momentum I really think it's important to build on this and I suggest right now a good way to do this would be to:

1) Make the full (real) names of the team public.

2) Make a proper announcement regarding the sanctity of the blockchain and the "No Exchange Bailout" policy.

3) Clarify progress regarding PR/press outreach progress.

4) Give an update regarding progress/new developments on the points discussed in the whitepaper - obviously it's still very early days with this but some kind of short progress report would be very helpful.

Any ETA on these things?  Been pretty slow market lately everything is sliding.  It's a good opportunity to make a buzz when there isn't much more going on.

Thanks for the update.
Regular updates is all that a lot of us just require.
Often too many dev's etc just disappear...
Lets hold this promising coin and we will all be rewarded.  Wink

WOW!! ICB was a big splash.  Roll Eyes  Sounds kinda like the ker-plunk you get with a healthy satisfying morning s&it.

And who woulda thunk this could happen? BitTrex is so honest and IPO/ICO coins rarely if ever are scams right?

When are people going to learn that IPO/ICO coins are SCAMS!! Coins with anything going for them don't need to hand the *dev* $65,000.00 to start developing that which should already have been developed before it was announced.

But hey ICO investors if you haven't had enough colon massaging yet BitTrex has another one lined up for you in Architech. You should gather your crumbs and get into that scam coin before it's too late to lose 85% of your investment again!

Love this guys thoughts. Great read.  Grin

dev would you like to put buy orders with your some of 100 btc

What do you think that he will be doing Wink Adding a few cheap coins and then creating some big buy orders to move the price up and sell his cheap coins Wink Be smart and buy at those prices so when suddenly ICB is up 200% or so that you earn some nice money.
I'm bought high at 4,3k. how much do you think the peak price will be when pump again?

I brought in at 8000 sats  Sad
Already sold at a loss and moved on. Decision needed to be made.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpartanCoin - Cryptocoin for the competitive world. on: July 16, 2014, 03:11:52 PM
spartancoin bagholders are the votingest people on the web!

why are you still trying to pump this deadcoin?

Most coins on the market are dead coins.
90% of these coins that launch are purely pump and dump.
You can't criticise people who hold this particular coin. We are just believing and respecting this community and coin.
Virtually all bag holders in this cryptocurrency game are in the same boat.

Many are scams and only a few make it somewhere.
Spartan coin has just a good chance as any other coin out there.

Just point your miner my friend at Spartan and join us bag holders....!  Grin

I bought in at 8000 sats and then basically haven't been watching the exchange.
I had no idea it went up to 15000 sats and has now dropped significantly to under 2000 sats.

Looks like I'm out of pocket on another coin. lol.
Don't you just love this cryptocurrency lark.  Cheesy

It happened to me on another coins, you have to be aware of your investment, could have almost double your investment.

Any chance this coin will be higher up in the sats.
I haven't been keeping an eye on this coin so have no idea on whats been happening.
Has the dev walked or something.
I am trying to work out if or when to sell my coins.

I've been mining Judge coin from the start just to show my support.

I have a question though with my mining rig if someone here with good knowledge may be able to help me.

Just recently one of my cards will suddenly become dead.
After I have rebooted the rig it will show all cards hashing normally, then after a certain length of time one particular card always becomes dead.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

i had the same issue 2 times with asus 280x cards.

with first card i was able to resolve the problem with a firmware upgrade.
i had to replace the second card (exchange under warranty).

i isolated both cards, used them within a normal desktop system and did some tests with 3d games. first card was ok -> firmware upgrade -> mining ok
the second card was always crashing after 10 -20 minutes while running 3d games on the pc, so it was clear there must by a damage.

i had some problems with dead cards while mining scrypt-n coins months ago. this was cuz i had not enough ram.
not sure if this can be a problem with x algos. the strange thing was:
it was working for a month or 2, after that i had to upgrade to 8gm ram (3 pgu's/per worker)
with 4 gb ram 1 card always died after a certain time.

hope this helps!
forget my bad english and good luck

Thank you for the information.
Interesting read. I'll have to do some trial and error on the card to see if I can find the fault.
All the cards are only a few months old.

how long had it been mining for before dying?
Maybe a bad overclock, old ish card maybe?

Hi mate, sorry to hear you're having issues..  Sadly you're not the only one to report problems.  I have sent the CoinKing owner a msg on irc, no response yet.  Will let you know what he says after he gets back to me. Smiley

Much appreciated Smiley

It's difficult to say but maybe 12 hours or so.
I have never had any issues until recently.
The cards have been brand new with a current overall run time of around 2 months.

Not sure really what to do - Card update/change the riser.
It's strange that it run's fine then suddenly becomes dead.

lets get voting then! and agree that newer coins can't pump money into the votes. So we may have a shot. Pisses me off having to make a jig saw every time though Smiley

Voting changes on mintpal come 1st September,

Important: Please be aware that we are phasing out the voting system. We have removed the option to make payment votes and will stop taking voting winners from 1st September onwards. The system will continue as normal until then.

Unless we can pull something out of the bag I don't think we'll get listed on Mintpal. Because after the 1st September they will probably add only the latest and greatest coins with good volume to make them money.

We need Spartancoin to grab some attention!!!

Yeah I read that too from Mintpal. It will be very difficult now for Spartan and most other coins to get onto Mintpal.
Whether it's a bad thing I'm not sure. Bittrex is a much more preferred exchange in my opinion. Mintpal tends to ruin many decent coins.
We will have to see but going back to getting on Mintpal, it's not likely in the time frame given.

Hold fellow Spartans.............!  Smiley

How to open the windows wallet download.
What program is needed for this.

Might sound a stupid question but when I download the wallet it doesn't open.

Thanks

You'll need to unzip it- I use http://www.7-zip.org/ for unzipping anything that's not a regular.zip like this.

Ok, thanks for the info. All done.
