1561  Other / Beginners & Help / How to know when money start flowing into crypto, any tools? on: January 02, 2023, 11:12:49 AM
Do you think this makes any sense ?

I plan to start buying crypto when new money keeps flowing back into the market, can this be done? Have you ever done such before? Please share me your strategy.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most newbies don't know this on: December 31, 2022, 02:57:40 AM
I just found out that even if you open 100 ETH addresses using Metamask, once your key is been compromised all the 100 ETH addresses are gone, but in case of Trust wallet each addresses has different recovery seed ..

If you don't know this before you should know now, please take note, some people are using Metamask multiple wallet addresses and they don't understand the risk involved.
You have a point but do you know that Metamask is better than Trustwallet because is it completely open-source while Trust wallet is not even though they claim their wallet is open-source?
Meanwhile, the most important thing every cryptocurrency need to understand is the pro, and cons of using every crypto wallet they use to store their coins and they also need to avoid human error.
Metamask is not fully open source.

1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Staking should be limited and time based on: December 28, 2022, 04:18:17 PM
Developers need to learn from Binance CEO and BNB, they introduce APY and APR and the exchange / project is still functioning, I know that many staking protocol are build on scams/Ponzi scheme but those that are not scam are making mistake, here is what I learnt from Binance

1. They use time limit offers on their staking, meaning the staking won't run forever unlike some other projects, staking is capable of ruining a project.

2. They create spot for some period of time, e.g 100 people can stake withing the time frame of 1 month to 3 months. Binance do this a lot.

This is what real staking should look like to keep your project running without hurting the project, most especially new crypto projects.
1565  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sometimes a good explanation is all it takes. on: December 22, 2022, 04:16:59 PM
I wouldn't care to teach anybody about crypto because the last time I did that few people called me a useless being, the type that has no job and any value, I just smile and move on, I will wait for the day where they will be forced to ask me again, I know that day will come but it will be too late already.

Be careful when teaching people about normal things they should know, once they know you are into the thing and making money you can be a target too.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's highest amount you have earned from altcoin bounty? on: December 22, 2022, 03:50:08 PM
You never invested any money why are you guys complaining that you sold too soon? All you did is dedicate your time to spread the news about the project, I will never complain if I get paid from promoting a project.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: December 19, 2022, 07:53:31 PM
Why do you say this? You ate absolutely right on this but I prefer to invest in already known projects with big names. I will rather invest in a known project than invest in a new project with an anon team. I have to be investment wise!
The likes of you missed out of Polygon and Avalanche in 2019 because you don't want to get involved with new projects, Luna was another good example and those who lose money are those that failed to take profits, I understand you are trying to limit the risk but don't forget that you are also limiting your ROI.
1568  Other / Beginners & Help / I need everything about Cold wallet on: December 19, 2022, 07:27:51 AM
I've hear people talk about Cold wallets few times before so this question come straight from the mind, are Cold wallet safer than Hardware wallets? Also Binance CEO said Cold wallets are not really safe like people think.  So what am I not getting right?
1569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some coins or a hardware wallet? on: December 19, 2022, 06:20:28 AM
if he is a beginner, and he obviously is, I am not sure how good it is for him to start with any phone wallet. Many things can go wrong there, just out of ignorance.
I worked as an internet provider reseller, and in general, most "beginners" do not have a clear idea of what online privacy means, or the importance of passwords/private keys.

If we're talking about a small amount of bitcoin, there's really nothing wrong with a mobile wallet. It's mostly for learning purposes in the first place. And there's a reason why I mentioned that OP should help gramps correctly setup the wallet.
He understands more about crypto now boss, he sells and trades on exchanges time to time, I decided to teach him some time ago because he is a fast learner, now he understands everything about crypto wallet, it's security and making transactions.
1570  Other / Beginners & Help / For them it's always about the money on: December 13, 2022, 06:07:56 PM
This is something I don't normally do but I thought a few Youtubers are different judging from the quality of the project they talk about but since the beginning of this bear market i've noticed that three Youtubers that I have respect for are talking about the same projects and guess what happens in minutes ...

The projects start increasing in value and after a day or 12 hours time the projects value start decreasing, ive monitored them so much that this claim is so damn accurate and now it happens every damn time..

I'm starting to think, are buyers just getting them YouTubers rich in minutes to few hours time?

Are they all Co-op in all this or its a coincidence? This is far too curate because it's now 5 different projects that they pump.

I don't want to jump into conclusion here, are people buying because they are talling about the projects or these Youtubers are running a pump and dump schemes with some other people?

No single Youtuber can be trusted, even if they claim that projects aren't paying them to talk about them trust me they have other ways to get fat taking advantage of you.

I've I followed them anyways  Angry Angry Angry
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Dogechain (DC)? on: December 04, 2022, 01:53:02 PM
I never heard about any exploit on wDoge but thanks for sharing, I invested very little in this project, around 60$ which I believe is worth the risk, Dogechain developer or CEO have past different ideas when it comes to crypto and there are past innovations that he built and managed, it's different from the likes of other meme coins.

I doubt this project will fail but if that happens I lost not very much.
1572  Other / Beginners & Help / Am I right or wrong on: December 04, 2022, 01:10:05 PM
There is a saying that " if you can't beat them, you join them " ,is this what's going on with Btc and our government?

You can't confuse me that the government aren't buying Bitcoin too, since they knew that this is the real power back to the people, something they really can't control, I'm guessing the only option they have is to join?
1573  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: November 29, 2022, 02:29:38 AM
I have been working as a freelancer for years, and I have saved some reasonable sum of money. now knowing the full potential that cryptocurrencies have, I am now confused on what to do if is to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish a business while still working as a freelancer, I don't know the one I should do at moment, if to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish my business.
It's better to establish a business, crypto is here to stay and it's comfortable if you are making money and use part of the money to invest in crypto.

Do not forget how risky crypto investment is that's why it will be a wrong move if you use the money to invest in crypto.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful where you connect your wallet on: November 28, 2022, 05:42:03 PM
Be careful using your metamask and other wallets , i have encounter that my funds are being stolen automatically and being sent to a certain address, experience this in binance network, other coins are not stolen only the bnb token, every time funds are being sent, there is a few seconds before your funds will automatically sent to an address.

So how will us be able to transfer tokens to a new address? here is what i did

  • Prepare funds for transfer of your token to a new wallet, don't make exact value or amount since gas fee's changes
  • Create a new wallet from another computer don't create a new wallet on the same computer
  • Select assets and make the transaction ready, remember that what ever automation made from your wallet has delays of few seconds
  • On the other computer or laptop send the funds to the old wallet where you need to remove your other tokens, then send the token to your new address
  • In the process once your old wallet received the funds, the transfer of you made from your old wallet will be the first to process
  • Repeat this process until you transfer all your tokens to the new address

This process may or might not work with others but i have tried this to two of my friends, then i suggest format your computer, to make sure since my suspicion are computer might be infected of a certain malware, or because of the connection you made before to a certain app, or network on a chain.
I hope this will be able to help others who might experience it before or in the future

As you can see to the transactions we made funds are being sent out once we send decent amount to the wallet
so next time be very careful on where you connect those metawallets or other wallets to avoid this king of trouble

Hey are you kidding??
You create your post today and your transaction history showing about 251 days ago and you coming up to cook a story today and your btt account created July 22, 2022? Now how do you even mean, note that your token can only be tempped whenever you compromise your key phrase or possibly you were too careless to reveal phrase and private key.
If you think you are not safe using metamask wallet then try using trustwallet I have been using for long and no bad news or fraudulent activity recorded so far.
I believe this story because it look like a wound that failed to heal, the timing might be old but you will never forget.

The same happened to me years ago when I was a fan of coinomi wallet, I never knew the difference between a closed source and open source wallet then. I connect the wallet to countless website since I was into airdrop.

The mistake I made was leaving some valuable tokens on the wallet, and one day I got a notification that I sent out tokens, it wasn't me and when I checked it out it was moved to a new ETH wallet.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is this true about Metamask? on: November 24, 2022, 05:50:14 PM
Is it true that Metamask is not a decentralised wallet? I watch a video right now explaining that Metamask wallet collects data😲 and they use infura which is centralized, even Ip address are collected?

How true is this? If this is true then there is no point using this wallet at all and people who don't know should stay away. Unless someone prove me wrong.
1576  Other / Beginners & Help / This whole mess looks like a big conspiracy theory to me, something out of movie on: November 24, 2022, 04:42:14 PM
Why does my gut keeps telling me that this whole FTX of a thing was all planned? Binance CEO is looking like the HERO but I still suspect him, CZ can't tell me that he his just suspecting these people.

It also looks like something the government benefits out of? Maybe I'm going out of line but I belief there is more to this than we know.

In every bear market these is always a big flush-out, it's like a necessary thing for new opportunities to be created.

I wonder how long crypto will be in this mess of total manipulation, where ever Satoshi Nakamoto is right now I am sure he doesn't want all this.
1577  Other / Beginners & Help / Scanning barcode to make payment on: November 05, 2022, 10:08:59 AM
This Is probably a stupid question but I need to ask, is there any risk to scan a barcode at store or anywhere to use crypto wallet to make payment?
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Question concerning Crypto.com and CRO on: November 01, 2022, 11:27:44 AM
Is there anything decentralisation in the world of CRO / Cronos Chain? I know that this project belongs to Crypto.com, same as the smart contract too but a project that's 100% built on a centralised idea.....

Is it possible to trust any project running on such blockchain project? I am not sure that VVS finance is a dex either..

For someone who doesn't like centralised projects do you think I should stay away from anything running on CRO?
1579  Other / Beginners & Help / Stupid or Not on: October 30, 2022, 03:31:56 PM
This isn't my idea 💡

A friend and I were discussing crypto yesterday and he said he always change from one wallet to another every month, he said the highest he have used a crypto wallet is two months, he always transfer all is coins and tokens from a wallet to another new created wallet in a month or two...imagine the stress 😆😆

I told him the risk still persists, you have to keep the phrase safe still but other friends of his are saying its good idea..this is why I decide to hear from the bitcointalk audience, what do you think.
1580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some coins or a hardware wallet? on: October 27, 2022, 08:39:59 AM
Erm. Probably help him correctly set up a software wallet on his phone then send him a certain amount of bitcoin. Not sure why DOGE is an option, knowing that Bitcoin's fees right now isn't even high.

^Of course, if gramps is planning on allocating a decent amount of money to bitcoin/crypto, then probably buy him a Ledger/Trezor.
That's where I planned to send the Doge coins to? He is a trust wallet user and he likes coins like Shiba inu and Doge coin. .

He knows how to handle a crypto wallet already, he is no more a crypto newbie 😆.
