1561  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Shffle has locked my account and is not allowing me to withdraw the 0.12 ETH on: February 05, 2024, 10:17:52 AM
Anyway, I believe the Shuffle platform itself has some issues. The allegations regarding IP and device responsibility are made by them, but no evidence has been provided. Despite using a VPN, the device remains my own.
One of what I do not like about casinos is the disapproval of two or more accounts, although they have their valid reasons, yet, they could hide under that pretence to lock your account. And guess what, this will be legal since it is written in their terms and conditions. However, what pains me is for them not to treat each case independently so that they might know if the person is truly guilty or not, but will rather generalise it since it will nonetheless be to their advantage since they will have money to seize to themselves.

This is not peculiar to your case, it is the general standard that casinos are using, which is why you have to be careful next time. Many casinos would tell you that they allow VPNs, but I tell you, this is a trap, and that is what I believe happened in your causes, you don't have to know the person because VPN IPs could be the same with different customers in different countries. So how do they differentiate when you use a VPN? Some are also victims of dynamic IPs in the same countries because such IPs can clash. But still, casinos do not also want to admit that even though they know there are possibilities.

Well, as it is, you still have a case, continue to mount pressure on them since they've not alleged with proof that the accounts have defrauded them. Your money can still be returned to you if they are fair enough. Good luck to you.

1562  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance alternatives on: February 05, 2024, 10:00:54 AM
If you're not yet familiar with the situation, Binance only have 90 days to operate in my country (the Philippines) and given that I've stored my hoard of bitcoin there for a long time already, I'm a bit panicky as to where I should store it (ironic that I'm like that when I'm a staunch believer that I don't care if I lose my bitcoins) so my question is, what alternative wallet or exchanges I can store my bitcoins, wallets would be appreciated and some of my irl crypto friends already recommended me two wallets and an exchange and hopefully they're going to be the same as your recommendations so I can finalize my decision.
I've read what people advised you about and I urge you to follow them promptly. But what still baffles me is that you had spent over 4 years in this forum, how careless could it still be to be "storing" your coin in an exchange? I quoted the "storing" because by using that word by you mean that were not using it to trade but saving it there for investment purposes. That is careless in this dispensation.

Exchanges can't be trusted particularly if your money is big. The best bet is to store your money in non-custodial wallets, and by doing that, you have the true right to your assets. This is unlike with exchanges that have the true right to it but merely owe you.
1563  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: February 05, 2024, 09:30:24 AM
To avoid the unbearable loses that is why we are always advice that one should stake a minimal amount that he or she can afford to lose and still be comfortable with at a time so as to avoid being in a position that may not be ok with them at the end of the bet due to uncontrollable staking and  betting with an amount that is out of they risk level.

To be a responsible gambler, is to know when to stake and when to give sometime, and also how much we stake, and that is control and discipline in general, that is the attributes of a responsible gambler.
This is advice that is often given but rarely followed, as when people are gambling the last thing they want to think is about restricting their actions and betting a small amount of money, they are so immersed on the activity that they will do what they can to keep it going, and if this means betting a big sum of money, that is exactly what they will do, but once that excitement is over and they begin to think about what they did, that is when they may begin to regret their actions.
Gambling may make us do what we never planned to do, this is more reason why we should not be forgetting our senses while playing it. Some people might have wanted to make a few bets, but when they lose, they would want to be revenging those losses, and through this, they will lose more. But to other people, they would want to gain more due to greed, but this can backfire on them and they will continue to lose, and before they know it, it is much on them. While some people would want to use a large amount of money to gamble at a go, this is the worst category of gamblers, they often regret this thinking that they can wager big and win big, but the end result is always regrets. This reminds me of a guy they posted on this section of the forum a while ago, this guy betted with over a million even with a very tiny odd, thinking that it was a sure bet. But be lost the money painfully.

I wonder how that could be termed responsible gambling, it is senseless to me. This calls for us to be responsible in our gambling, I do not believe that anyone will be responsible and will be risking senselessly, the result will always be painful. We should limit the risk we take in gambling per time and always know that we will get to make the best out of it if we plan our gambling activities well. Those who risk once could divide it into days, some would even be using the money they bet at once for 50 times if they are cautious enough. And having the mindset that we can win huge money in gambling pretty fast is not helping, a neutral mind is the best for gambling, and if the luck shows itself, you will be more happy since your mind was not desperately on it. This will by no doubt always preserve the responsible characteristics in our gambling lifestyle
1564  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: February 05, 2024, 08:52:53 AM
Yeah , back then I thought I knew everything about gambling but now that I totally understand the importance of professionals I kept telling my Addicted Cousin to try consulting or seeking Help from a clinic.
though up to now he kept denying yet I will not stop to ask Him and help him get through this problem.
Very often taking the first step is the most difficult decision by far, your cousin most likely knows he has a problem but he is in denial and refuses to admit it, because if he were to do this then he will need to begin to take actions to solve his problem, and deep down he knows that this is not going to be easy and prefers to ignore the problem hoping that it will go away on its own, an impossibility of course but that does not stop a person from wishing that it became true.
That's the issue with many gamblers who are facing addiction, though some will not know that they are addicted, and this is probably because they are not just sensitive. They would think they are still doing the right thing when all that they do reveals that they are plainly doing the wrong thing. While for others, they know, only that they just do not care about it or they can't just stop. In either category, I believe that if they know already, it is still better and safer for them, after all, it is a problem half-solved. Now, where the remaining issue lies is whether or not they are willing to change. Some will not even give it a try at all, which makes it so pathetic, it is only when they give it a try that they can get healed.

But for some, they will try and will get healed, while for others, they will try but will not be able to help themselves. Anyway, it is good that people say what they are facing, especially if they've tried and couldn't work. Who knows, what others could ship in might be what will eventually help them. Also, the extensive categories I shared show why we should not limit the predicament to them alone, we can be of help as well. This is irrespective of whether they seek for our help or not, as long as we have access to them and we are sure of the issues going on in their lives, we can ship in our advice/help and even find external help for them depending on their willingness and the efforts they're already made. Even if they are not willing, it doesn't still mean that they can't still get our help.
1565  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: February 05, 2024, 08:20:26 AM
Most casinos that I have played on, don't ask for KYC at the point of registration and even though they are KYC compliant, they still do not take it as a priority to demand for that all the time unless on special cases.
But if a casino suddenly wakes up overnight and asks for KYC only when a player makes a withdrawal attempt,  it will become a targeted attack and if care is not taken, the gambler may not be able to make any withdrawal even if he gets all the necessary KYC material and submitted them.
This is not a targeted attack in most cases, it is what everyone should be expecting and that is why we should not relax in this regard, but we should be smart and sensitive unless it is a no-KYC casino we are dealing with. It will always be differentiated on their websites, and you may ask their support staff at the same time for proper guidance before you deposit your money. However, if they are truly a no-KYC casino, you can relax and just gamble as you want without giving it any thought. But if such later ask you for it, then you should know that they are deceivers, and then you can conclude that they are targetting you as you said.

But if a casino is a KYC type, or was silent about what they really are, you should expect the worst my friend, you should do the KYC if you have the opportunity immediately. If not, they will still ask you, and I want you to know that they are not the only company that does that, many, if not all reputable companies like exchanges and some brokers do that, so it is not about targeting anyone. Only that people are too relaxed about this or are just carelessly thinking it will continue to be like that. They just wanted to have your money first, that is the cunning part, but thinking they will not ask you for the KYC forever, my brother, it is a self-deceit. Some will even allow you to continue to withdraw a small amount of money, maybe that is your case. If you are not a big winner, you might never know, they will free you to continue playing and withdrawing, which is why some will think it is the norm, but no, it is not.
1566  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: February 05, 2024, 07:54:05 AM
Have heard of only some of these companies like Draftkings and MGM and I am guessing they are all primarily FIAT gambling companies which makes sense since crypto gambling site liquidities pale in comparison to them.

It's odd that you chose to share this information in a crypto gambling forum though op.
I see nothing odd here, the business models of everyone could be different. Some casinos could be entirely fiat while some could be entirely cryptocurrency, and others could mix the two together, it doesn't matter. We see these three categories daily and it depends on the preference of the bettors and the business model of the casinos themselves. Mind you, all of them are finding their ground in the market and are getting bigger daily, and the bigness of casinos can't ever be limited by whether or not they are crypto-casinos, as far as I am concerned, money is money in this regard whether it is crypto or fiat.

You can't say that because some casinos are dealing with crypto, for this, they are not liquid, is cryptocurrency not money, or at least, is it not an asset, can't it be converted to fiat, and fiat to it? There is huge money in the cryptocurrency market, which is why many casinos that started with only fiat options are now adding cryptocurrency to their deposit and withdrawal options so that they can make more money in this competitive market.

This is liquidity/capitalization, or do you want to say that Bitcoin itself for instance is not liquid? Then you probably may not know the meaning of liquidity if you think that way.
1567  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting without losing your money/no need for deposit on: February 05, 2024, 07:29:37 AM
The ops may have contracted things because from the look of things,  what is more prevalent the is the reviews that we may be seeing from that site and as a matter of fact,  it's very glaring that this service may be far from what it claims to be in reality and at that we need to give some time for the ops to give more details about the service and how to use them at some point in time.
For me, I see this as some kind of joke, nothing inspiring and trustworthy here at all. It looks like bait to me though I did not bother myself to look further since I thought it was some sort of a direct platform when I decided to check it out, not knowing it was a kind of gimmick to send traffic to the site.

I can only say that 'well done OP, you can only succeed in sending traffic there under pretence but you will not be able to achieve them to stay with this approach unless the person is a dummy.'

If you look at the site, you will see it is all adverts, and the direct one you can see states that you can earn some rakeback. Can you earn rakebacks if you didn't deposit?
1568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies be aware, don't fall into the trap of getting high ROI in Bull Market on: February 05, 2024, 07:15:55 AM
Be aware Binance P2P users, avoid talking to strangers during and after the transaction.
Thank you for this warning, after all, if it is not new to me and I'm fully aware of such, it could at least save others. One thing that is still baffling me is how people are so naive about this, people are desperate and greedy, and that is why they are often victims. I mean those people you wouldn't even believe that they can be a victims. That reminds me of my friend who I hold in high esteem, he called me last year, around August thereabout, and started introducing a crypto HYIP termed "Ethereum mining." This guy had started already since his friend also introduced him to it and they've been making daily and weekly money from it having connected their Trustwallet to it. I shouted and asked him who was mining Ethereum?

I told him Ethereum doesn't work that way, they were only using your heads, your ignorance. Well, I only hope he yielded to my advice. I said that because I didn't bother to ask him again after then since we are not in the same state. By now, I believe they would have disappeared with people's money again, just like the friend I warned 3 years ago but was adamant, he lost a huge amount of money due to greed. These guys are coming in a different form nowadays and are mostly centring on cryptocurrency since it is the latest earning mean in town, we should all be careful. If one is such that is not smart, he/she should ask questions from smart people, maybe that should be able to solve this menace.

Anything that promises high returns without the direct investment in cryptocurrency or any asset that is well-known and in a trusted channel, is better we shun them.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 04, 2024, 06:53:05 PM

Leverkusen is currently only 2 points behind Bayern Munich. So if the Bayern Munich team can beat Leverkusen then Munich can occupy the top spot in the table. But I don't think Leverkusen will lose this match. Leverkusen are in very good form right now. And the important thing is that the match is Leverkusen's home match.

Leverkusen's players are able to score a lot of goals, as well as the team's defense is very strong. This team conceded only 14 goals in 20 matches. So it is a tough task for Munich to get 3 points against Leverkusen in an away match.

Both teams have the same chance of winning. But I think Munich has a slightly better chance of winning than Leverkusen. Both teams are in good form. I can't choose who will win that game. But I think a draw would be fair enough for both teams. It's hard to think Leverkusen will lose because even though Munich are superior in terms of overall team quality, Leverkusen's collective play is very good and they also have a pretty good defense.
Let me say that you are looking at a draw for a safe prediction not that you actually believe that this match will end in a draw. Well, this is the kind of match that I do not like to risk my money on, any of the teams could win it. Bayern Munich has been spectacular this season, even though they were relaxing at a time but with the current form, they are so ready to give any team a headache and probably win the match. The same thing goes for Leverkusen, the club has proven that it is so worthy under the leadership of Xabi Alonso, and with the current players and their morale, they are also capable of giving any club a headache as well irrespective of how you are feat. As it is now, it is the situation of two strong teams playing, they are also the next two teams tailing each other on the table as Leverkusen is leading with just 2 points, but this is not so important in determining the better side in this game. I can only say that the winner of the match will be keenly contested by the two even as I will stay away from betting on this kind of a game because it could be either of them.

Despite that, my mind tells me that there will be a winner in this match, and if I am told that I must choose my preferred team at this time, I will also go your way, I will choose Bayern Munich. Despite that Leverkusen is on fire, if Bayern is more serious, they will still win them. But again, let's think of the home advantage of Leverkusen, I do not think that Bayern will find that easy. Looking at the stat online too, the advantage that Bayern will win is higher but it is with as little as 1% which I think is not so encouraging at all.

Lastly, in my consideration, the Monchengladbach that Leverkusen was unable to beat about a week ago was easily beaten by Bayern yesterday. Not even a goal was recorded for Leverkusen in the match, which is why I view it that if Leverkusen is not careful with their defence, Bayern might find a way to penetrate it, this is even as Bayern would make it difficult for them to score in their net.
1570  Other / Meta / Re: Email used to create this forum? on: February 04, 2024, 05:50:58 PM
Does anyone know what email was used to create this forum?  BTC
Maybe it is "@bitcointalk.org" Smiley.

Well, I read through the replies given on this thread by many but I do not see this question as inappropriate as many see it, you can have your reasons for that, or even just want to know out of curiosity or for knowledge. But for me, I do not know and I am sure that this is not in the public domain at all even as I helped you do some research about it as well.

This forum was created in 2009, and at that time, the internet wasn't like this, so people could do what they wanted how they wanted it even without having to go through some illegal means as we see today. It is possible that Satoshi used private emails, inexistent emails or no email at all.

I think that only the admin of the forum can shed light on this.
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: February 04, 2024, 05:28:22 PM
OP, you are totally wrong comparing gambling and investment, they are not just the same thing, not the same view, not the same goal plan and even the modality of operation and structures are never the same thing. What you are thinking wrongly is the risk involvement, fine, the risk is in the two, but not the same level of risk. However, note, that by investment, I do not mean all these hypes and HYIPs, I mean real investment, and when we talk about real investment, you can't appropriately compare/link them to gambling, the risks are different. If one is looking at the HYIPs, for example, the person will make a mistake because most people know that HYIPs will crash soon or later, so anyone who is wise participating in it is actually taking a level of risk which is higher than what we take in the normal and sane investments. But this is still not the same risk in gambling.

It is clear in gambling, it is an immediate condition whether you lose or you gain, and your fate is made known immediately after the game is over. It could now be worse when it is a casino's section of gambling, one cannot use a certain working style to always win but will have to rely on luck. But with the HYIPs you narrated, you need more of smartness and wisdom, not luck to outsmart the brains behind it and get out your money before it crashes. Assuming that it crashes before your face due to your greed, then it could only be that you were not smart with it. To crown it all, in real investment, you allow your money to work for you and give you a return and you do not necessarily lose the money at once, unlike in gambling. If you want, you may still opt out of the investment and keep the rest amount you have after the loss. But in gambling, you are actually betting on that money entirely, and you lose it entirely when you are wrong with the prediction, which makes it riskier.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? on: February 04, 2024, 05:12:30 PM
Let's start with the simple choice: Do you consider yourself to have a gambling problem affecting your happiness, security, relationships, finances, etc? (Yes or No)
Now, here is something a bit different: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? Either you make enough income to call it "adult play", so you do not have real problems, and/or you simply stop for a long time. Then - months or years later - it gets worse again and you are in trouble.

(First question was above)
(Second question) Either way, when it's time to stop, how exactly do you do it? (For example) Change other habits, go new places, exercise more, stop drinking, simply "swear off" gambling... How exactly do you stop? Thank you.

before when I was have a Little bit love in gambling then it will affect my finance and also the relationship between me and my wife cause Before everyweek I gamble 4 times or even 5 times and that's  the reason why my money won't long last. But i won't regret it cause I know it's a good experience in mylife I say it good cause I'll over come myself and get out of those world.  Anyway I am in gambling nowadays but I can control myself and maybe once week or  worst twice a month if I am too busy.
That makes you sensible and responsible, and I give you the kudos for the ability to be able to change a new leaf despite not being advised by anyone, at least you never mentioned that, not even your wife's help in achieving that. But you saw the need for a better change and you go for it, that makes a good gambler. Gambling is not a do-or-die affair and as a matter of fact, it is never a must, you do your bit and leave the rest, and you can come back another time if you have the time to continue to try your luck at the same time, and it goes on like that. But most importantly, if you are such who knows that you gamble too much and you waste money too much, it is best that you limit it. It can't be wise for you to continue to gamble and waste money. You may limit it by gambling with a lower amount if you know you would like to gamble many times in a short space of time, or you limit the number of times you are gambling all the same. These are important to keep us in check and financial health so that gambling will not bring the worst out of us if care is not taken.

Imagine, it had caused issues between you and your wife, that is the worst side I do not always like to read from any gambler, but this one actually has a happy ending. Good luck!
1573  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: February 04, 2024, 04:51:22 PM
Do we really care about UI here? because as far as I understand is that UI cannot affect our betting and gambling activities so why should really care about this in the first place?

isn't better to check their legalities and their trustworthiness ?

because what is the sense of having a great and best UI when in the end will scam players?

lets not be affected of this instead look for legitimate gambling site to play.

UI is the first thing that we see when we visit the site. Most people will not be attracted to continue exploring if the UI looks bad. Although there is a saying "dont judge a book by its cover" but it is a BS if people do it because people do judge a book by its cover. Once players are attracted with the UI then they will explore the site more. Of course reputation/trustworthiness is more important than UI, but the main topic here is about UI not about the reputation. I'm wondering why when there is a specific question about the casino such as the game, the feature, the UI, the bonus, etc then people will always compared it to reputation?
Bro, it is true that we shouldn't just judge a book by its cover, but in this case, I like to start the judgement immediately. You said it right, we will first see the UI when we open any gambling platforms, and if it is bad from the beginning, it can't be appealing to me anymore no matter what you talk about. What if I opened it and it looked ugly, and upon that, it is not responsive well, do you think I can ever be interested that much even if they are reputable and will not steal my money? I don't think so. There is one being advertised on this forum and I believe that people do not appreciate it very well due to the UI issues, and even offline, I discussed it with someone and we both agreed that it could be part of the issues. So, it's very important.

It is non-negotiable as far as I am concerned, the UI and the UX must tally, and that is how I can ever move forward in even knowing the casino further. That reminds me, I couldn't continue using OKX due to this same issue, their mobile platform is just nonsense, it's slow and I couldn't bear that nonsense when I had better alternatives. I heard it is still the same still years after, I wonder why companies will be that careless despite being rich. This could totally dissuade many customers and intending ones unnoticed. But I hardly see such, to be honest, which means that casinos are often wise to know that their UI and UX are important for the productivity of their business.
1574  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: February 04, 2024, 12:50:37 PM
From me personally Stake is just so good and has set the standards so high that it's quite hard to suggest anyone an alternative site. Although I did come across dual bits's new fantasy game mode which is great and only available on that site.
Good products and services will continue to speak for themselves so I am not surprised about this good outpour for Stake.com, it has always been like this. Is it the interface, the responsiveness, the many games to choose from, the security, the customer service, the pace of withdrawal and deposit and many more, Stake has it.

Also, judging by how the OP asked the question, it means that he already knows about Stake and has tasted the good service which is why he is looking for an alternative in case of incasity. After all, you can't look for the alternative of what is not good but we only look for the alternative of what is good to be on the safe side as two eggs are better than one.
1575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: February 04, 2024, 12:40:29 PM
If there are no organizations or centralized institutions willing to educate us on playing slots or even gambling as a whole, then we should make it our own personal efforts not teach ourselves and create time to learn about it, if we does, it will be for our own good because it will definitely shows from the way we gambles, this is one of the expectations required from us to take full responsibility for our own self while gambling to achieve more better in it.
No one is coming to help gamblers, and I've never seen any government helping gamblers, unless for the NGOs, and this depends on the country we are talking about and also if the gambler makes himself available. For this, the first available help even if any help will ever come is for the gambler to help himself, you do not do what you do not know or have adequately planned for, or else you get to blame yourself. Slot as it is too, it is a game of luck, not that you have one serious modality that could help you to get the advantage over it, and I must say that I fear it even with all learning, no one can use what they know to get it right unless they are just lucky in this kind of game.

Having been aware of that, I'm sure that it is a very good factor to know in engaging it so that one will not just engage it and regret it if it is done too much. Not that one can't be playing slot games, but if it is getting too much in terms of the money used to bet it, it could be an issue. This is why it is good to gauge oneself before playing it and know the budget to play the slots and how many times it would be played at a go. If not, it could infest and one would not know when it would have caused more plays which might result in anything which could also result in addiction or irresponsible gambling if care is not taken.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: February 04, 2024, 10:12:50 AM
Having money in project and losing it teaches you most why particular project was a scam. Invest (what you can afford to lose) in projects you think are good and lessons will show up themselves, you'll automatically be able to identify scam projects from first glance after few experiences.
Experience, they say is the best teacher but we should at the same time be smart, we don't need to be experienced through bad occurrences. It might be so bad for people who are not careful, and this could be worse to the point that they will lose huge money that will be difficult for them to recover from. This calls for us to do our part and leave the rest, even as no one will entirely know the best projects, we are just trying our luck and risking at the same time. Was Bitcoin, not termed a scam in the past? That is what is now the number one cryptocurrency in the world with so much success, and if we do not buy lies at times, we will not buy true.

Many had risked and have made their millions already which is why it is so difficult to entirely make a position on the advice about cryptocurrencies. But still, when a project is new, try to learn the viability of the project, the connections and the brains behind the project, if that's if possible. Also, look for the size of the community of their supporters, and from here, you can learn about their popularity. Despite all that, you might still wait till they have their launch, but if you must do a presale, you do not have to commit the whole money you have to it at once.

I think that committing it in fractions is the best approach before and after the launch of an exchange.
1577  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: February 04, 2024, 09:51:52 AM
To be honest, I agree that as long as the casino is legitimate, this is an area in which I can increase my trust in the casino platform. It shouldn't be a significant concern in terms of KYC.

When a gambling casino is not requesting for KYC from the beginning, it shows the extent of how they could go far in helping us through the way we could start with them having no issues, the next thing that should be done is when they also requested for these informations, then we shouldn't hesitate in giving them as required, but in most cases, we took them for granted and denied them the right they have turned a privilege on us.

There are some things we need to learn and understand before even choosing a casino to bet on.
This is one of the reasons why gambler's would keep complaining and ending up using a bad casino after so many bad complains from other gamblers that might have use a particular casino and had bad experience. We need to always ask questions and do research so that we will not comeback matter to complain of a casino taking our funds with any wrong going.

That is correct I think, it is of little use to play first and then find out and complain. There are many review sites and there are many people on the forum that will provide their experience, critics and opinions for free, so if one chooses not to apply this minimum level of research - not just for gambling, but even for any crypto thing - then well... no right to complaint I guess.
It doesnt really cost you an arm and leg on making up some research first before you would really be that deciding to play or not on a particular platform. It would really be just that right that you should really be that be wary on the things thats happening around. You cant really just that be confident on throwing up  your bucks or funds into some sites which it doesnt really have that credibility
when it comes to reputation on which it would really be normal that you might really be that ending up on hovering yourself into those unknown sites on which you might be ending up on dealing with a scam site on which it would really be causing for you to lose money. This is why it would be best that you should do your research at least.

Gambling is never forced on us, this alone has a long way to goin telling that we have our best choice to make in gambling and settle for what we want, the same way when we are not complying to the rules of a gambling platform and they use their own power as right over us until we comply, so we shouldn't be deceived,  neither should we also deceive ourselves in gambling, we have to go by the rules and dictates of the game.
There's no alternative here, we have to obey rules as the house is the one calling the shot, they are supreme even if we do not want to believe so. This is not a scam or the unspeakable name that some people are also calling into it in some cases, it is just a fair play until the house starts being overbearing and cheats which annoys me the most. The presence of some behaviours is so bad and could be illegal at the same time but continues to be emboldened as there are not many voices for the voiceless gamblers in most cases. As you can see, I do not have anyone's side here, yet, gamblers should carefully choose their casinos to avoid what they do not like, and once they choose right, there will be minimal issues, that's if there will be any issues at all. It might take time to research and ask people about it, but it doesn't matter, and once you choose rightly, you will forget that stress. But you should not expect that they can ever be perfect. If anyone tells you that there is a perfect casino somewhere, you should not believe that, but so long as they do not do the obvious cheating, I think you are in the right place.

Now, read their terms and conditions very well, this is where issues mostly arise, and most times, the terms and conditions often contain what the gambler is guilty of fighting for. Once this is done, it is important that you obey all. But if they can't obey you can excuse yourself even before you make the first deposit to avoid issues. Also, no matter how relaxed I wanted to be, if I discover that the casino is not a no-KYC type, I rather submit all the necessary documents immediately, and it has been helpful ever.

Do you prefer casinos where you can connect your MetaMask wallet for quick sign-in and deposit/withdrawal, or is that not very important to you? -snip-
I would never prefer a thing like this, it is risky in my opinion, and not for investment, gambling or trading will I want to connect my MetaMask wallet. I can't just think it twice. Many ways are possible that people are ignorantly causing issues for themselves and I often advise people to avoid things like this, especially for the investments forcing them to do it that are so rampant these days.

Thankfully, it won't be so long before I advise them that the scheme/supposed investment will pack off. If they could scam people like that and are more tech pros in hacking, can't they move further? However, my subsequent advice for such people is to avoid using that wallet again, they can open another one and continue their crypto dealings.

The best is to move my money to anywhere I want to move it independently. This is even more reason why I avoid some swapping arrangements.
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: February 04, 2024, 08:59:51 AM
If you want to invest, you should do it in BTC. If you have extra money after living your daily life that is worth investing then I would say invest it in Bitcoin instead of wasting it. There is no specific time to invest in Bitcoin, you can invest throughout the year and hold it until the bull run.  But I do not give any guarantee or advice to invest in alt coins.  It all depends on your personal preference. But let me tell you one thing never expect or wait for more profit in alt coin.
I think your advice is not so good. First, Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency and the person investing in it at the high price it is now will only make a small amount of money compared to altcoins. Notwithstanding, this does not still stop anyone from investing in Bitcoin but calls for wisdom even as many altcoins are good projects and have better prospects for earning than it. One could divide the money into parts and invest a portion in Bitcoin and others in altcoins, and by doing this, the person has diversified his portfolio and should be getting ready for higher returns than though it was Bitcoin alone when the investment was made.

Also, it might be so unprofessional to say that anyone can invest every time, there are approaches to doing this, only that Bitcoin and crypto investment make it easy for people to the extent that when you make a bad decision, sooner or later, crypto will still appreciate, and that's why you believe that investment can be treated anyhow. There are approaches to doing it rightly, and the summary of the ones I know are to;

1. DCA (At uncertain times).
2. Buy when long-term support is hit or when the market has bottomed.
3. Buy when the market is bullish.
1580  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will government recognition kill cryptocurrency or boost! on: February 04, 2024, 08:45:38 AM
I've always been sceptical of the government's acceptance of cryptocurrency, although they are welcome developments but there might be more to it. One thing about the advanced countries' governments is that they do not rush, and in most cases, they would have had their agendas but would just be initiating them one after the order. I am certain that Bitcoin is still a threat to the world's government, but they are bringing it closer to them with their approval and support so that they will have more say over it and strict oversight as much as they can. I've also always known that regulation is nonnegotiable over time, it is how the government would approach it that is not clear, and I know it will be very strict and tough at that time.

It might be worse to the extent that you might not be able to hold self-custody wallets again. Or do you think that is not possible? Well, it is highly possible as hard as it seems for people to believe. If the government starts clamping down on what they do not want, you would think it is the end of the world. Unless such a service is not being used by anyone, they can surely trace and block it which will result in the loss of assets.

Due to this, people will fear and start cooperating. So, I believe they embrace Bitcoin and others to keep them closer and not entirely disenfranchise people, but people should get ready for some partial oversight even as Bitcoin will continue to maintain its decentralised nature. But what you do with your Bitcoin might be accountable for in almost all cases.

That is my own view.
