1561  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: June 10, 2023, 10:54:53 AM
I think the bear market is not over yet, there is still a lot of pressure and it seems that the price is difficult to go up, last March I was sure that the bear market was over and the bull run was coming soon, unfortunately the market has continued to be corrected until now and looks difficult to rise again.
I think it's possible that there will indeed be a sustainable bear market. If you look at this week, there has been a -4.7% decline for bitcoin, even for some of the leading altcoins, some up to -17%.
hoping for a bull run soon it is clear that it is very difficult to expect in a situation like this where indeed the world economic crisis has not yet improved. again, this is an excellent opportunity to continue buying and holding on to what you already have.

Many altcoins were dumped today after it was reported that the Robinhood exchange delisted several top altcoins.

I always say that the bear market is not over, even if we see bitcoin surge in the first 3 months of the year. But many people rely on that signal and subjectively believe that the bear market is over. Why do we always believe that history will repeat itself but are too hasty to conclude that bear season is over? Because if calculated according to a 4-year cycle, we are only halfway through the bear season, which means that the bear season will be very long, and there is no guarantee it will end this year.
Not only because Fuds is besieging the SEC case with exchanges, but I believe there will be many difficulties waiting for us this year. I won't think about a bull market until the halving happens.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 09, 2023, 05:44:35 PM
I absolutely agree. At this moment it is all about risk versus reward. All they have to think about is that is it actually worth taking the risk. It is a big risk, to be honest. They will risk the team not having good chemistry. At least not at the best of what they can do. Herro is a good player. The thing is whatever they do they will have to decide fast. Because otherwise an already behind and the final will slip away from them. I also think that he should be playing, but if he is not doing good, then he should be taken off.
Stop speculating about his return as it was already reported that he's been ruled out in game 4.
Tyler Herro (hand) ruled out for Game 4

So it's the same lineup that played in Game 3. The Heat just need to make a big adjustment in how they play to have a chance for a win. There's a reason why they are just a slight underdog. If people really thought they would be dominated again, the spread would not be +3.5 only; it should be higher than that. But regardless, this is the NBA Finals, and every game is very important, especially for the team that is behind in the series.
True. And whichever team is behind is obviously more motivated to win in the next game. In this case, it is the Miami Heat. I am honestly not sure if they will actually be able to achieve a win in the next game. But we all know that they have to otherwise it will be just a little too much for them to do.

It is already confirmed that Tyler Herro will not play so there is no need to discuss about that matter any longer.  Grin

Also I have reasonable doubt he would actually be able to help. Playing the finals is a lot of pressure and coming of an injury being thrown back in the mix and having to deliver right away is tough on that stage.

Also you never know how the injury is reacting on the action, so it is much better to play it safe and keep him on the sideline.
Jamal Murray also has a minor injury in his left hand now, this might become a small chance for Miami.

Edit: Natalim was faster with the Herro update.  Cheesy
Things are not the best for Miami Heat right now. They are certainly in need of a big performance in the fourth game. There has to be some individual brilliance for them to win. The team will also have to perform really well. Murray's injury is going to be making the Miami Heat team a little happy.
1563  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: June 09, 2023, 11:13:50 AM
With the current issue in the crypto world between Cz (Changpeng Zhao) Ceo of binance and the Sec, I support Cz with reasons that binance has done alot to earn it's communities trust, helping millions of users in the crypto ecosystem, and has more durable marketing strategy whereas the Sec is government driven and wants to control everybody.
It's unfair that the sec is suppressing a private cooperation that's helping to grow & build the crypto world, binance is helping everybody including crypto whales and newbies and a fight against binance is against the world.
What's your say on this?

Binance isn't helping in building the industry instead they're building their own empire in the market. They're centralizing the market to get everything under their control so you shouldn't feel sad that they're getting attacked by the SEC. Both institutions wants the same thing, they both want control so they should fight it out for who gets the control. Binance wants to control crypto market while SEC wants to control crypto exchange.

Crypto should be a decentralized market therefore we shouldn't be supporting neither of them. This tokens been accused of securities might be security so the SEC mightn't be telling a lie. The SEC office won't just come out to sue Binance based on lies, they have solid proof.

Yes, both for their benefit, SEC doesn't want to protect us from scams as they claim, what they want is tax money from us. Meanwhile, Binance wants to be big, and it's all for their profit. It's hard to say who I support, but if given a choice, I would still favor CZ over the SEC and the government. If you want the crypto market to be decentralized, then you have to fight the SEC even more because what they want is taxes, regulation, and total control of the market. Meanwhile, Binance is just an exchange no matter how big they are, as long as you don't use it, it doesn't affect you. But if the SEC and the government were to control the market, that would be a completely different thing.
1564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to Hodl or buy the Dip? on: June 09, 2023, 11:03:14 AM
With the current bear run of bitcoin at the market cap of 520.50B, down from 527.83B yesterday and down from 570.09B one year ago, at the price of $25k do you think it is a good opportunity to Hodl or buy the Dip in the current market?
DCA is probably the best thing to do from here since I believe we are not yet at the bottom and with the current news in circulation about Binance, the market can always go down again and if you are doing DCA, you can always keep buying at different price fall intervals so that you can have a good average buying price. If you buy at once and then the market goes down further, you might regret it.

So, I would probably suggest holding the current assets and then doing DCA for the remaining balance. That seems to be the most viable option for the current market conditions and wait for the bull run that might occur in 2024 after the Bitcoin halving event.

If you believe bitcoin hasn't bottomed yet, why don't you wait longer to buy in? To me, bitcoin remains unpredictable even as we face a lot of negative news, but good news can come anytime. But you are right, DCA is the best solution in all cases. If you are investing for the long term and the target is the coming bull season, don't make too many predictions but instead use DCA every time bitcoin drops more. The DCA strategy really saves us a lot of stress from investing in bitcoin.
1565  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Explain this to Me Like am a Five Year Old on: June 09, 2023, 10:48:54 AM
And you are right, the SEC is targeting bitcoin, but since they have no direct way to stop it and are hitting what they think will affect the growth of bitcoin.
I don't believe that the SEC is targeting BTC through Binance, they are not dumb, they know that Binance doesn't control BTC neither does Binance represent BTC in the crypto industry. The Sec and other agencies are targeting Binance because they are shady, i know many people will find it hard to believe because they have been brainwashed by CZ into thinking that without Binance there will be no BTC. Binance does not care about BTC and their actions show it, trade in their platform if you want but move your funds into your self custody wallet once you are done, and if they ever bite the dust BTC will be fine.

To be more precise, SEC are not only targeting BTC but are targeting the entire crypto industry, not only Binance but Coinbase is also their target, and these two companies are the biggest in the industry. Binance does not represent BTC, but if they fail so easily, the SEC will have more incentive to attack our market.
I'm not defending CZ just because I'm on Binance because if it goes away, another exchange will take its place. I'm not worried or bothered about that, what I care about is if CZ loses, what will the SEC do to us? Do you think the SEC is just beating Binance and will stop?
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 09, 2023, 10:40:38 AM
=snip=
On the other hand, is it time to bring back Tyler Herro?
That's a big question now, and it's likely the big surprise the Heat could provide if they bring back Tyler Herro. However, the question still remains: is he 100% healthy and capable of contributing his usual numbers before the injury? If he returns but struggles to make an adjustment, he may become a burden for the team, and it's more likely that the Heat will lose again.
I'm sure Coach Spoelstra will not allow him to become a burden to the team. If he does return, it doesn't necessarily mean he will stay longer if he is not delivering as expected. I would even be surprised if he gains plenty of minutes like he used to. It's the chemistry that matters now, and inserting Herro into the lineup is always a big risk. But, you know, as long as they know how to manage that risk, it's going to work.

1567  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opportunity to buy on: June 08, 2023, 10:29:14 AM
I respect your optimism and enthusiasm for bitcoin, but I think you are being too biased and ignoring the risks involved. Bitcoin is not a guaranteed investment, and it can go down as well as up. Buying the dip may work sometimes, but it can also lead to more losses if the price keeps dropping. You should not invest more than you can afford to lose, and you should do your own research before buying any cryptocurrency.

I don't see him as biased here, what he said is absolutely true. You don't want to buy bitcoin when the price drops. Do you think it's safer to buy when the price goes up? You should remember once you have accepted an investment in bitcoin, you have accepted the risk. If you want high rewards, then you have to take high risks, if you don't want to take risks, then bitcoin is not for you.
Yes, bitcoin is unpredictable, and it also has the potential to fall more, but over time, it will definitely rise again, and if you don't sell when it drops in price, you will never lose.
1568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are giving too much importance to exchanges on: June 08, 2023, 10:22:17 AM
I'd suppose that it's not because Binance situation doesn't impact the market much. Look at the BNB rate, it looks like people are still optimistic about Binance and its chances with SEC confrontation. They are now trying to withdraw Gary Gensler from the game. So who knows, it can be so that Binance will not be harmed too much in this situation. The market reacts on this not so negative expectations and stay "calm".

I also think that binance will still fight with the SEC and this may have a positive impact not only on the BNB rate, but also on the market as a whole. Moreover, such a precedent will not go unnoticed. This situation has the potential to draw more attention to cryptocurrencies, especially those doubters who do not trust the cryptosphere due to its obscure status and blurred relationship with the state.

Although we have always disliked centralized exchanges like Binance after what FTX did. But I think we should support Binance in this situation, what if the SEC's goal is not only Binance but they want more and keep looking to control our entire market? If the SEC wins with XRP and then Binance or Coinbase, it will be an outcome not in our favor, it will set a terrible precedent, and our freedom will be gone. I hope this time, Binance and Coinbase can join forces against the SEC.
1569  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Explain this to Me Like am a Five Year Old on: June 08, 2023, 10:05:16 AM
SEC saw nothing on CZ, some people believe that CZ is corrupt but that's not the case, with they way this is going, SEC wants something from crypto, some kind of settlement and agreement, it's always about the money, they don't enjoy watching people like Brain and Zhao getting all the crypto goodies, it's pure jealous and envy, where are these people when crypto was nothing?  Grin Grin Grin

All I can say is, if SEC really want to put an end to crypto, Bitcoin should be the main target, why didn't they go after Bitcoin? This is very laughable, Bitcoin seem unstoppable for them I guess, because there is no one to sue, hahaha, I am not worried, not at all, because this whole war will make Bitcoin even more bullish, lets wait and see what happens next.

I agree with what you are thinking about SEC, they just want money, and their greed is getting bigger and bigger when they see the potential of this crypto market. And you are right, the SEC is targeting bitcoin, but since they have no direct way to stop it and are hitting what they think will affect the growth of bitcoin. But they were completely wrong because even if Binance or Coinbase fails, bitcoin will still stand and grow in a different way. They will have no way to completely stop bitcoin.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 06, 2023, 07:09:06 PM
Well, I can assure you that once he starts performing badly and CSK starts losing matches because of him, the fans will start complaining.
Wrong. Did you even watch the previous editions of IPL? CSK did lose horribly and ended up on the bottom of the table several times, but most fans still supported him because no one is perfect.

That was a different story. CSK was losing because almost all of the players in the team were performing badly. But once the fans see the team losing just because of MS Dhoni not performing well they will quickly turn on MS Dhoni. They are not going to support him if the team loses because of him. A lot of people are saying that they are going to keep supporting MS Dhoni just because he is still playing really well.

Just wait till he starts performing badly and that damages the team. Even Virat Kohli was criticized for a lot of things that he had done outside of cricket. And he had also faced a lot of criticism for not being able to perform for a long period of time. I don't think the case of MS Dhoni is going to be any different.
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 05, 2023, 08:31:27 PM
It's quite unfortunate that Bilbao was only able to draw against Real Madrid, because if Bilbao manages to beat Real Madrid or win in that match then Bilbao will finish in seventh position. So yes, it was Osasuna who was able to maximize the home factor against Girona, in the end Osasuna only had enough to win with a score of 2-1 and that was enough for Osasuna to end the season in seventh place and will play in the Conference League next season.

Athletic Bilbao missed out on a great chance. But we also have to remember that it was Real Madrid they were going up against. So it was always going to be hard for them to win this match.

Osasuna was able to win the last match. That has put them in the 7th position of the table. They have achieved a decent result in the end  I would say. Finishing in the 7th position and taking part in European competition is always good compared to not taking part in the European competition. And that's where I say that Athletic Bilbao has missed out.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 05, 2023, 08:15:28 PM
This is true is a luck for Thomas Tuchel, he managed to bring the victory of Bayern Munich because the match at Brussia Dortmund against Mainz 05 ended in a 2-2 draw, if the word if Brussia Dortmund won against Mainz 05 in his last match, it was definitely determined as the winner of the Bundesliga Season This.
But it seems that Bayern Munich must be more careful for next season, because Brusssia Dortmund appears better, and competition in the league will be tighter, and will not be like before.
And it is a pity that Hertha Berlin and Schalke 04 must be eliminated, and struggle again to enter the Bundesliga next season.
I think his "luck" definitely gave him a new life. He got there and lost at UCL and if he lost the Bundesliga as well then it would have been a terrible situation for him without a doubt. However, he managed to do as well as hoped for and that's why I believe that he is doing fine right now. I know that not that many people consider this situation as a big win considering they almost lost, but I think it will give him more breathing room for transfers he wants to make during this summer.

If he didn't win the league then the team wouldn't be really looking at him like he was a good choice and regret hiring him and they may not let him make all the transfers he would want to see at the club, that may have changed now and maybe he will have more free roam to get who he wants they can afford.

Actually, I believe that he's not the best choice that they have made. Dortmund is actually stupid. They had the best chance that they could have in front of them and they still lost the match. If they could just win that last match they were going to be the Bundesliga champion of this season. I have lost all hope and expectations from Dortmund. They do not deserve to win the Bundesliga title.

I would say that Bayern Munich actually got saved by Dortmund because if Dortmund won the last match was going to be in deep trouble because everyone was going to point fingers towards the coach and also the authority of Bayern Munich as well.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 05, 2023, 07:49:54 PM
Mourinho is still leaving the door open for offers. His ultimate goal must have been to win the Europa League title this season or finish the season in top 4 in the Serie A. However they did none of them I'm afraid. I think that this result has dropped his credit in the team also. I think that either way Mourinho would have been ready to leave Roma.

As you must have heard his name has been called with the PSG job a lot lately. He is also aware of it so he seems ready to start the talks. Galtier made a statement like he was contented with the work they did this season. But he wasn't successful even a bit. The Ligue 1 title doesn't count as PSG are accustomed to win it like all the time.
I think that it would be for the benefit of PSG to sign a deal with Mourinho as soon as possible.
He has definitely been ready to leave Roma, but Mourinho would have loved to make a big hero story out of it. Winning the Europa League and then moving on as if something higher is calling him, but he has done the job. Now he missed to win the final and qualified for the Europa League again although that was very close as well, but it worked. If he gets an offer that allows him to play the Champions League and he gets paid a lot (which is almost certain), he will leave Roma.

For Mourinho it could also be a question of the future perspective and whether he can still improve the team and sign new players. But that is a problem because Roma isn't the kind of destination that big players want to play for and Roma doesn't have the money. If he stays it would be because of a lack of alternatives. Not that many clubs are looking for a new manager.

He is obviously looking to manage a team that will probably be better compared to Roma. A lot of people think that he is not a very good coach anymore. Well, I agree that he is probably not very good, but he is still a very decent coach in my opinion. Roma has been able to finish in the top 6 positions. That is a good result for Roma in my opinion. Of course, the result could have been better. In the last 5 matches, Roma has only one win. So of course there is space for improvement. But I think Jose Mourinho wants to manage big clubs which he will not be getting at this moment.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 05, 2023, 04:57:21 PM
I have watched the match actually and I will say that the rain interruption took away the momentum from GT. That was the turning point of the match for me.
Silly reasoning. GT had so much momentum in their favor since CSK needed to chase such a high score in just 15 overs. They had several amazing bowlers, but still messed up in the final primarily due to pressure. Think!

If you think I am trying to discredit CSK, I can assure you that I am not. They still had to chase down a very big total.
Which was not easy at all. But I cannot shake the feeling that they actually got profited by the DLS method.
Because whenever the overs were reduced they had the freedom to actually go hard because they had 10 wickets to work with and had 15 overs to play.

CSK winning IPL 2023 under Mahi captaincy says all about his performance. Mahi is almost 42 years old and his fitness clearly says that he is fit for coming IPL.
Exactly. Most fans don't even care whether he performs well or not since they just want to continue watching him play in the IPL.

Well, I can assure you that once he starts performing badly and CSK starts losing matches because of him, the fans will start complaining.
I think he should play in the next IPL and see how it goes.
After that, he can take the decision of if he is going to play more or not.
1575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC holders, do not reveal your identity online on: June 05, 2023, 02:44:40 AM
the confidentiality of BTC ownership must be maintained, even if it's our family,

This will have 2 sides, on one side, your bitcoin will be safe with you because only you own it, and no one can take it away from you. But on the other hand, it will be risky if you do not share this secret with your loved ones because sometimes life will have surprises. If you are the only one who knows about the seed phrase and when you have bad luck, those bitcoins will also disappear with you. No relative has the right to inherit, and it will be very selfish because we don't have to live for ourselves, we also have people who need to be loved and cared for like parents, wives, and children...
1576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the world still see Bitcoin as a scam, or is it just a lack of interest? on: June 05, 2023, 02:34:10 AM
The world doesn't see bitcoin as a scam, just as a high-risk investment, and as we know the high risk can give us big wins or a big loss, there is where the risk is at. And I don't think there is a lack of interest, I mean, the amount of transactions we have each day is still huge and the price is still really high compared with how much it was bitcoin worth at the start of the year. We are talking about bitcoin started this year at $16.5k  and now is $27k, still a huge win for those who invest this year.

Some people still consider it a scam, Ponzi. My neighbor is a real estate broker, they have heard a lot about bitcoin, but they still call it a scam model because they don't believe in the huge profits it generates, and it is the result of a lack of knowledge. Furthermore, what OP is saying is bitcoin is not yet widely accepted and used, he is not mentioning its price and value. If you look at the world population and the percentage of bitcoin users, there is a huge disparity, less than 3% of the world population knows about bitcoin.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Benefit of bitcoin on: June 05, 2023, 02:07:57 AM
The only thing that people might consider a disadvantage of Bitcoin is its volatility which is basically there in all cryptocurrencies and it's because their prices go up and down based on demand and supply and because of the flow of the money invested.
Some people consider this not to be a disadvantage, as it is precisely this volatility that allows certain individuals to profit from these price fluctuations. Who else but traders? Yes, they leverage the nature of Bitcoin, where its value is unstable based on supply and demand.

If it comes to transactions, perhaps this may not be the optimal choice. However, for investment or daily trading purposes, Bitcoin can yield profits for skilled traders.
That's true, though it's the nature of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to be volatile, it actually provides benefits to the traders or holders since when the price goes down, they buy with whatever they have, and then when it goes up again, they sell and take profit. So this basically is an advantage of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies since if they were not volatile, maybe this many people wouldn't be interested in them.

Humans tend to like things that earn them money because money is what everyone is running behind these days, you can't do anything without it so you have to find ways to get as much as possible to have a life free of worries and tensions and if you don't have any, you can't live in peace.

Honestly, I invest in bitcoin because of its high volatility, if it is less volatile and stable as gold, then I would rather invest in gold than take a big risk investing in bitcoin without big profit. Indeed, bitcoin's volatility has never been a downside. That is its biggest advantage, and most people are interested in ever. Would people still care much about it if bitcoin were a decentralized, anonymous, and private currency without volatility? Even I am doubting myself about that.

There are still a couple of people interested in it, but again, because of its price and volatility, people got into it because of profit, and for sure, most of us really believe that is the reason, and only a few really used it as a payment method. People really want to get involved with risk, especially if the chances of profit are huge and they can get rich on it or gain profit immediately. Even for myself, I will be buying gold instead of bitcoin or having my money put in the bank for interest.

Indeed, people always talk about the technology of bitcoin, but what they care about most is its volatility and profitability. I don't believe someone is here to invest in bitcoin and say they love it just for the technology and not for the profit. If it is stable, people will still have demand and use it, but it will be significantly reduced and no longer receive the attention it is today.

I myself will be looking for a new investment channel and will only use bitcoin if necessary, and my interest in it will certainly not be great as I will focus on new investment. And I believe everyone will be like me, but there will be many people who don't want to accept that.

Today is the only chance for Heat to keep their hopes up, if the series goes to 2-0 it's over mentally. They have to play extraordinary today. If they shoot bricks again behind the three then they have no chance. Martin, Robinson and Strus were unrecognizable in the first game. They can't rely on threes only. They should score from the paint and go to the free throw line more often. Heat gave up early in that game, they can't do that again. Nuggets rested well, now they are focused on winning the title and they know this is the most important game of the series. My money would be on Nuggets though.
Yes, I do agree  that this is a crucial game for the Heat. They haven't been in a situation like this before, in all of their series, they usually take game 1 and win. But this is very different situation now, if they lost then 2-0 going back to their home court and then all the pressures will be on their shoulders.
They will have to find a way to score in the paint, go to the free throw line. They shouldn't allow the Nuggets to control the game from the very beginning and then they do  the catch-up. Jimmy will have to score and be their main offensive man in the first half.

The Miami Heat definitely needs to win this game and make it 1-1. Otherwise, if the Nuggets go up by 2 games and it is going to be very hard for the Miami Heat to actually make a comeback. Considering the fact that the Nuggets are actually stronger on paper compared to Miami Heat, I believe Miami Heat is not going to give them any chance to win the second game. Miami Heat should be the aggressive one in this game. They should not let the Nuggets go ahead because if Miami Heat is interested in playing catch up they are not going to succeed in my opinion.

England finished 2nd innings within 0.4 ov

Yesterday, Ireland gave England a lead of just 10 runs as England started the second innings and ended the second innings with just four balls. Zak Crawley scored 12 runs with three fours off four balls to end the second innings. However, his 300 career strikes rate has increased his total strikes rate.
An interesting fact is that if Ireland had finished the second innings the way they had finished the first innings, they might have lost by an innings. However, Ireland did not lose by an innings yesterday.

There was no doubt that this was the expected result. There was no way anyone could have predicted that Ireland would win the test match against England. It was very close to being a big loss for Ireland. It is a big loss anywhere. But it could have been an innings difference. However, Ireland was able to avoid such a situation. As expected, it was an excellent performance on the part of England. There was no doubt in my mind from the beginning that Ireland would not have a chance against England. However, it is a good thing to see that at least Ireland gave it a try.

I am suprised everyone here is pointing DLS as the reason why GT lost the match. I am confident almost none have watch the match. DLS was the reason why CSK was struggling to chase the target in the last two over.

If you haven't watch the live match go on and watch the highlights. It is available for free on Jio Cinema. DLS was a benefit to GT as per my opinion as in 15 overs it is hard to chase a target of 170+. CSK won because of Sir Jadeja and not because of MSD or any other player. No one expected he would score 10 runs in the last two balls.

I have watched the match actually and I will say that the rain interruption took away the momentum from GT. That was the turning point of the match for me. Of course, the match had a lot of twists and turns. Of course, what happened in the last over was certainly great to see for any fans in my opinion. But if I say that the match would have had the same result as this if there was no rain, I would be lying.

But anyway it was certainly a very good match and the tournament had a very good finishing I would say.
