1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 06, 2022, 10:45:33 PM
There's an "IF" on what OP has said and I agree to do that. If you have the goal of winning with the games that you've chosen like in dice, you should really allocate huge money on it if you will apply martingale.

This is not true even for "WHAT IF". We are talking about martingale here, do you really think the chances of winning are likely to happen using that method even though we have a big capital for it? Even a whale will start at the very lowest possible amount to bet, double the bet for every loss will kill any bankroll no matter how much it is. They might win at maybe 4th, or 5th bet but the amount lost is much compared to winning at their whole session.

Actually, martingale is not the problem here but OP's mindset. Who will take the risk playing on dice where it's the only last few dollars remaining on his wallet.

He thinks that using martingale is a good decision and gambles his remaining money. OP overthinks too much thinking he will gain profit in return.
1562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 05, 2022, 11:58:07 PM
Right, hard decision to boxing bettors, Vargas initial betting favorite, then it jump to Magsayo, now Vargas regain it back.

Not that actually hard for me because there's no way I will put money on Vargas whatever the odds. I even like Magsayo's odds to up more as even how good the challenger is, my money will be only to Magsayo. I will put away my bettor's side just to side with the bookies. Magsayo will win here and I'm sure of that.

If he failed to succeed on his first title defense, just imagine what's the effect for it for Magsayo. That's why I'm seeing him will do everything and even as a champion, he will be aggressive since there are lots of things that he will lose once he failed to win this fight.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 05, 2022, 11:47:46 PM
HBO during its days used to hire most commentators that aren't boxers or former boxers. Jim Lampley was a very good one. Personally, I noticed hardcore non boxing followers tend to become less bias than actual boxers or non boxers that are working directly with boxers.

It's good that we getting lots of views and opinions about the fight regardless if they are biased or not. It's still a good reference.

As long as their predictions and speculations are backed with good analysis and technical aspects, then we can say that was a good read and not totally pure biased. There are analysis that is just commenting on things out of their favoritism.

If predictions will be like for example, Stephen A. Smith in basketball where no analysis is involved and just predicting things, that was a total BS and can't help us with the analysis we are making before placing a bet.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 05, 2022, 11:39:59 PM
Obviously Canelo has the advantage because he won the last fight, and if you will look at the previous post, you will see that Canelo is heavily favored in this fight. You can bet on Canelo to win, but mind you, the betting odds are very low, hence your winning will not be as much if you win.

Canelo winning in their rematch is not an advantage. How does it become an advantage for Canelo? If that was a dominant win by Canelo, no one will even bother to get this trilogy done. If it's a clean win, there should be no trilogy now but look at what happened?

This trilogy was being asked for several years now because that wasn't really a smooth win by Canelo. There are questions that needed to be answered and the trilogy will settle it all. It's always an advantage to Canelo that he's younger since I, II, and this upcoming III.

But watching those 2 previous fights, can we really say that Canelo has all the advantages? No.
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 05, 2022, 11:29:28 PM
For sure they will never try to get durant back as the Nets ask those young guys of Warriors which can help then in future, If they trade them for Durant its like they are risking their future to a injury prone guy and proven that he can't lift a team so its good that they retain their young core and develop more other rookies rather than breaking it and get a problem which they already get rid.

No worries, that's unlikely won't happen. Just imagined how much the Warriors will spend to get Durant to re-sign to them. Not a good idea to get Durant involved in their Championship lineup. It's not that they don't need Durant, but salary-cap wisely, there's no need to spend more for another superstar.

They can use their remaining cap to acquire role players that can improve their second squad.

Lots of good prospects at the free agency that they can target instead of getting Kevin Durant's service that's now entering his post-prime period.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: July 05, 2022, 11:19:56 PM
Can someone still develop the habit of gambling and become an addict even though no one around gambles?

In reality, yes. There's no 100% way that a person can avoid gambling. Gambling-related stuff is everywhere and even just a simple listening to the radio, watching TV, browsing a Facebook news feed and Tiktok reels, there's a chance that someone can encounter gambling.

Gambling is already part of our society. It's good for me that these persons will encounter gambling as not all of them will be hooked on it. Trust me, it's not really on the environment but on how those people will react once they saw gambling.

Like here in our place, we are a gambling-friendly country and almost all gambling is here but in our circle of friends, I think only 2-3 out of 10+ people are hooked on gambling and those are not even addicted. I mean, I'm the most addicted lol.

See what I'm trying to picture out here? It's on people if they will gamble, not on anything.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: July 05, 2022, 11:12:12 PM
If you are lucky, then you are lucky. In that story, that person didn't really become addicted to the process but take advantage of his luck.

Instead of pushing more, the money that came from the profit was used wisely.

We all have that luck moment in gambling but in most cases, we are being carried away instead of stopping. There's already a profit but since most people feel lucky, they will push more thinking they will grab more money. But what happened next? We already know that.

There's really a situation where gambling turned people's futures for good. It's just that, we should know when to stop once we reached that moment.
1568  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for perfect slot base casino on: July 02, 2022, 02:56:49 PM
Hey and greetings, I have developed some love for slot games recently and this has led me to quest for good reputable slot casinos where only slot games are played there. I don't like a casino that combines so many games that os way I prefer to play only slots-based casinos. Please make your recommendation.

I can't remember a site that only features full slot games. I don't know if those sites exist. In casino gambling sites, it's not limited to slots as the only games available there. If you have a good time enjoying slots, why has it becomes a necessary thing to just try a site that only featured slots?

What's the difference between using usual casino sites and slot-only featured sites?

And besides, most popular gambling casino sites offer lots of variety of slot games. You have to try those sites rather than look for your preferred one.
1569  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: July 02, 2022, 02:29:24 PM
One of the major disadvantages of KYC is the fact that your data may be compromised or get licked or sold on the dark web and used to commit crimes, but aside from this the most agreed way to reduce crime and underage, gambling is through KYC and if the casino has strong security the users are good to go even with KYC in place.

Why the hell in the first place you will undergo a KYC to a site that's not even worthy to put some trust. Of course, to minimize the risks, only follow KYC procedures on a reputable site or those that are in the operation for a long already.

In most gambling sites, KYC is not a mandatory thing but it will just possibly ask depending on your account activity like in most cases when you won big or something fishy is happening on the site. Shouldn't be a bad idea to undergo KYC if we are talking about reputable sites.

Don't make things too much complicated.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 02, 2022, 02:18:44 PM
Golovkin isn't the fighter he once was. No matter how you like a fighter to win because of being a fan. Age does matter and play a huge role in boxing or any contact sports. Clearly Canelo will be the favorite to win but hey, the odds of GGG is really tempting especially if you are a huge fan. However, for me one must not let emotions to decide in sports betting and just focus on who has a better chance of winning because we are after the money.

That might be true but didn't you know that GGG is already in his post-prime when he fought against Canelo in their rematch? In that fight, Canelo was put on his limit and the result is even doubted by most boxing fans. GGG at around 40 years just crashed Murata with a Technical Knockout victory. On other hand, Canelo loses against a boxer that was in his same league which others don't expect.

When we talked about GGG, don't ever put age does matter as the main disadvantage. If he will lose here, it means Canelo just outbox him but that's not because of GGG's age. We can compare them in technical aspects but it doesn't mean all the advantages are on Canelo because he is much younger.

What if let's say GGG wins here, is that statement of yours about his age will now changed?
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 02, 2022, 02:05:44 PM
Honestly, it's already a good team for Looney, to stay with the Warriors for 3 years. I guess if the Warriors can win even 1 out of those 3 years that he is in, it's already a good return. And it's not about the money for a player like Looney, it's about the chemistry and the camaraderie as he was part of the team in their last championship run.

Loyalty wins. I think Kevon Looney is receiving a much good offer on other teams better than the $25M for 3 years term by the Golden State Warriors but he remains loyal to the team who drafted him. As the article pointed out, a contract extension is somehow a good appreciation of that said player.

The Warriors did a good job on retaining Looney as they have already given up some of their key players recently. It seems that the Warriors are now considering improving their inside strength on both offense and defense. I wonder if they will give up again another player that contributed to their championship run this year.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 02, 2022, 01:56:06 PM
Congrats SMB bettors, another easy win.

I think Moneyline odds are not that catchy for SMB in pre-game.

Handicap odds for SMB are just around 1.8 so if my thinking is correct, ML odds for SMB are playing at about 1.5-1.6, or who else able to place a bet on them?

Northport sucks. They destroy my handicap. They are able to make the game close the entire game until falls out and becomes not consistent in the 4th Quarter. They even have a chance to beat SMB even if JuneMar Fajardo is playing well if only they maintain that good performance until the end.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: July 02, 2022, 01:40:10 PM
Autobet is the most stupid thing and this can't be profitable in any kind. Because of the house of edge. You're just loosing you money in automatic mode.

Did the gambling site put that auto bet feature for profit-getting purposes? Of course, no. It was a feature to provide convenience for their users. Is that a stupid thing to implement? Can you explain how it becomes a stupid thing?

If you think auto-bet is a profit-making tool, then it will become a stupid thing but for the real purpose, it's not.

Gambling sites obviously don't put that feature for that profit purpose and I don't understand why we should lead on thinking like that.

1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 02, 2022, 01:30:49 PM
Donnie Nietes is one of the PH great boxers in the Bantamweight division. What do you think guys, is this might be his last fight regardless of the result? Time is catching up to him and at 40 years of age, he is now showing signs of slowing down although he still won a title match after being inactive for over 2 years.

Kazuto Ioka will surely want his revenge and quite an advantage for him is that the fight will be held in his home country. He actively fights year by year since he lost to Nietes in 2018 and never lost yet in his last 5 matches. This will be a good title defense for him.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and MLM Schemes on: July 01, 2022, 11:50:13 PM
I just heard that gambling is just like MLM schemes as people only loses both in gambling and MLM schemes ?

Losing money is likely to get when gambling or participating in MLM schemes but the process is different.

MLM is more used in investing where getting referrals is the key to making profits.
In gambling, I think there's no need for any explanation. Do you have a gambling experience alreadY?

The good part is, if play right, you won't actually lose money at both. How to play it right? That's another need for a separate discussion.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 01, 2022, 11:43:46 PM
- Would you blame an individual who becomes addicted to gambling because it is wired to his DNA?
-Can their gambling problem be put in check by regular methods?
-Will the addiction be worse than someone who picked up the habit?

What if these people are responsible even addicted? Is that wrong? Is that acceptable?

If it's all about hereditary then these type of people already knows the risks of gambling.

It's better to take care of those people who aren't like that instead of focusing our eyes on those people who have already been into gambling for a long or been influenced early because of that inherited thing pointing to gambling.

1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To build your Professionalism on casino on: June 30, 2022, 04:20:43 AM
Things to obey:

1. A gambler should gambling as an entertainment, not as a way to make money or the earning source of money.

What if I will say, I'm not treating gambling as entertainment but rather I tried my best to win every one of my bets.

Isn't it more entertaining to win rather than consider everything as entertainment?

You don't have to treat it as a source of money but if it's just for entertainment then gambling is not for you.

If a gambler wants to relax and be entertained, then he pursues to win, isn't it more stressful if the player loses?  The essence of having fun will be gone and the player might be frustrated if he losses instead of winning.  While the one who just seeks entertainment won't be bothered whether he wins or loses in his gambling session.  Aside from that, other people see gambling as a way of entertainment, relaxation, and socialization. Being a gambler is not limited to a person who wants only to play because he wanted to win more money.  That is why we have different types of gambling.

That's why I said I'm doing my best to win because it is more entertaining to win compared when losing. And do you really believe that those people who are gambling just for entertainment really don't bother when they lose in gambling? That is a hell big no for me.

Don't ever believe that someone will say gambling is for fun. They just say it but what's the reason they gamble in the first place? If everything is for fun, there are lots of ways to make fun but why do they choose to gamble? It's because they are also pursuing a win.

wants only to play because he wanted to win more money.  That is why we have different types of gambling.

I think your success in gambling will definitely visible if you follow the these instructions. Here  you can add your knowledge and experience for the flourishing to this concern.

Definitely no and I disagree with you. Since when do we have to follow specific things just to be successful in gambling?

Work on your way as we have different ways and behavior in terms of gambling.

Even before we learn to gamble I think  Grin  But of course, methods are different in every game(skill-based gambling) we play with the exclusion of luck-based gambling games.  In a luck-based gambling game, the only method to win is quit while we are winning.

That's why I contradict what OP said that by following those instructions, he thinks we will be successful in gambling.

Where are those thoughts come from?

What does success in gambling means? Is there an exact definition for that?
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 30, 2022, 04:02:33 AM
Who's to blame that PBA is not balanced? Is it because of the dominance of SMC teams? MVP teams? I do not agree with that.

The problem is, that other teams are not even doing their best to become better teams. It's because of the inability to provide competitive salaries. CJ Perez, Terence Romeo, Matt-Ganuellas Rosser, Christian Standhardinger any other players that come from the bottom team, find good salaries at SMC or MVP teams. We can't blame these companies if they afford to offer a good contract to these players.

Players are for career enhancement. "PUSO" and loyalty are not applicable to most players as the goal is to make money out of their profession as that also serves as their source of income. Not all the time they can play basketball so as much as possible if there's an offer coming from big companies, they will consider accepting it right away.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Phil Mickelson Opens Up About Losing MILLIONS From Gambling on: June 30, 2022, 03:46:22 AM
You could lose all of the things you do possess in life you do tolerate that gambling addiction of yours. If you dont like for it to happen then you should really need to have that good control.

Easier said than done. We are not in the place to say control things if we don't experience yet being a big whale like Phil Mickelson. These guys are capable of spending big on gambling that's why we will never know the feeling they dealt with during their gambling days. These whales are losing big every day but they won't feel it because they still have lots of resources. It's good that after losing millions in gambling on the process, they realized that something worst now happened.

What if they didn't have that experience of losing big? For sure they are still gambling up to today.

That losing experience leads them to stop that's why I don't find it regretful if they lose those big amounts since, in return, they have become a better person later on. Blessing in disguise that they suffer those losses rather than continue to enjoy gambling.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2022, 03:30:39 AM
And chemistry will be a big problem if Wall will not adopt the system of Clippers and he also want to shine among with his current star. We know how dominant George and Kawhi is so if they get wall then he will not be a good fit on this team well maybe we can see another Westbrook like drama on this team. But let see how they take action on this.

Chemistry is not a problem for the likes of John Wall. He doesn't have that struggling behavior when it comes to adjusting in terms of chemistry regardless of who's teammates he is paired with. He is no doubt one of the best front runners on the court in the league. However, the core problem of the Clippers signing John Wall is the risk that he might end up on the sideline for long period again. Both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are already injury-prone and yet they will add another one who is far more injury-prone compared to those two.

If that John Wall scenario will happened for real, I'm sure there will be a time that these 3 stars will be injured at the same time leaving again those Clippers bench to do some adjustment. Instead of pushing for a revamp on their main cast, strengthening the backup players should be the main priority. The Clippers are not a bad team in the first place.
