1561  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Let's build Dex? on: October 19, 2020, 09:25:09 PM
If you are planning to build a dex then my advice to you will be dont step into it. Because no matter how your dex looks or what all features it has, people doesnt like trading in dex. They like to trade in centralized exchanges. Moreover none of the projects will pay you to list there project in your dex. There are hundreds of dexs out there.   It will be a waste of time and money if you step into this.

I think instead of building a new one, just contact existing DEX which is about to shut down. At least, if he really think that he has the skills to market a DEX, he has no problem anymore in setting up one but assist in the marketing area where most DEXs are weak. Easy to set-up DEX but the hard part is getting traders on board and how you can keep them. Because traders always go to the better exchange with good liquidity and competitive prices. So I don't think creating a new one will be favourable in the DEX market, as we are already saturated with substandard DEXs.

He can visit coingecko and cmc to check potential DEX that he can contact with for possible collaboration here -

Upon visiting your website, I saw the tab - Apply for Funds. I'm happy that you have funds that can support promising projects. Buy may I know your criteria in selecting projects to support with? And if you are supported by below institutions, I now understand why you have the funds to support aspiring teams.

1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: DeFi project ThouFinance (THOU) presale is on on: October 18, 2020, 11:08:52 PM
And what'll be the fate of your very-recently-previous project? The comet? I've been waiting for your reply on that thread, never showed up and now you came with other questionable project. Your comet's website is currently not even accessible.

It's good that you posted about the connection of this project to the other one- comet. I have seen that thread as well and commented about the generic roadmap. Now, he's trying to extract some money from naive buyers with this yet another substandard DeFi project. I hope no one will blindly send their eth to this platform. The content of their website is very similar to the cometfinance.net, which is already down. Wonder if they rekt money on that project?

SCAM ALERT

Raised a scam accusation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5282743.0

Dev, feel free to answer and defend yourself on said thread

I recalled reading some heated debate on Comet's tg channel between two users that's triggered by an input to fix their typo on "yield". I can't remember both of their username and name. Given you also raised similar concern on Comet's thread, was one of them you? Do you remember the username of the other member? I recalled how he defended Comet fiercely, so probably he'll lead us to OP's alt.

Sorry but it wasn't me as I haven't joined their telegram channel. Don't have any idea that there was some sort of debate on that very simple thing.  Grin  Would be funny if they shut it down because of that.  Grin Grin Grin

But anyway, I think this is another dead project. I don't think he will come here and fix the mess he created. Wasting money buying domain names? Or thinking another project to launch?
From the OP, it says the presale raised 25eth. I think he's bluffing with that number.
1564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase to Support Bitcoin Core Developers on: October 18, 2020, 10:06:19 PM
If a dev were to accept this offer, would they be subject to the same stipulations other Coinbase employees are now forced to adhere to?
Although all that can be said about Coinbase and their policies, I don't think such a scenario might happen. After all they are proposing to sponsor core devs not to recruit them.
I am really curious to know who are the two devs who will be accepted in this program though!

Are they going to disclose those 2 devs after selection? I don't think so.

That is something very nice that coinbase is going to do for sure , since developers and software engineers do face a lot of problems with limited funds , people who are not willing to support a crypto related project. A lot of resistance from the government itself.
I believe with this they will be able to give them not only support but confidence to the new developers /engineers.

See I understand for a fact that coinbase haven't been the best when it comes to using bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies in a positive way and trying to get politics involved with bitcoins is very catastrophic but I do think I support their idea of supporting the new developers as long as they don't ask for a share in the project or try and use it in negative ways, rest it's a good step , if they are looking forward to correct their mistakes.

Doing something good for the community I think Huh??

I believe it is more on building up their image. How much the funds allocated to them, we don't know. So this initiative I think is more on getting positive points from the community. But nevertheless, it will motivate the chosen developers to do their best as they have funds to spend with. I hope they will truly contribute something significant to the bitcoin core development.

1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will UNISWAP become a centralized exchange? on: October 17, 2020, 09:01:25 PM
I don't think the developer would be so stupid and rock his own boat, the demand for DeX is on the rise and they are eating deep into CEX volume for now. I personally don't think Uniswap will succeed as a CEX because the space is already saturated and also they are a lot of things that goes into running a CEX

They are enjoying their popularity and massive demand right now as DEX and yes it is true, if they will ever convert their platform to CEX, the competition is already tough. Can they compete with Binance in case they finally decide to change their platform? I don't think so. So I guess, right now, they will keep it as DEX and who knows in the future, they will just die as DEX also? Remember the etherdelta days? And what are they now? Their fate may be different but I am just saying that not all the time you are in your glory days. There will be something new and more advanced that will be developed. And your platform will be treated as obsolete. That's the reality.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Cardano as a hedge against Ethereum on: October 16, 2020, 09:46:47 PM
Anyone still betting big on Cardano is just making their developers rich, this project has been in the space for sometime and no real product yet, just look at Solana, Poldadot, Avalanche, Near they all have a working platform but Cardano just keep promising. I won't touch this token until I see they have a real product and can give Ethereum fight for its money

I am looking also for projects built under Cardano network. And not many of them. And a new one - Oracle Pools as discussed below in cointelegraph. But wonder what kind of success are they going to achieve in actual implementation?

https://cointelegraph.com/news/a-new-cardano-based-project-is-handling-oracles-a-lot-differently-than-chainlink

But there's some good news here, IOHK is offering $250k grant to developers who can build project under cardano blockchain. The grant is not in USD but in ADA. Anyway, that is already a good motivation for developers out there to explore the Cardano network. It is just their first round of funding and according to the article they are aiming to fund about $70M a year. Let's hope that it may boost the ADA network.

1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Sheng World: The Game Changer for Lifestyle and Wellness Industry (ANN Thread) on: October 16, 2020, 10:27:05 AM
I have communication with SHENG team few days ago, CEO want to set priority plans for their marketplace. Private investor also asking about the future plan, so please wait for furher information about their new plan, they are still working as their roadmap. As we know, market unstable after COVID-19, Since I'm not part of their team, I just can give this info, for the next, I hope team give any information later.

Agree, you are not belonging to their team, but for any project communication is very important and it will help the project to good some good reputation. They need to share their plans with the community, in this way, the demand for the coin will surely increase. If they are following their roadmap definitely there is chance for them to increase their prices.

Maybe regular presence in the forum so users will not forget their platform. I have seen the start of this project and my impression before was that they gonna push thru as they have several partners or merchants on board. So I think they have silent period just like many projects, but this one is still alive. With the pandemic, it is understandable that their chosen industry was put on break. We don't know how long this crisis gonna be, but slowly, businesses are opening up and their business is one of those that is still in minimal operations.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT]✅ P2P Cash | The new way of send money worldwide✅ on: October 15, 2020, 01:09:27 PM
Can you make the logos of the exchanges where you are listed clickable, that will direct to the trading link of your coin? Thanks. Because for DEX, we don't know exactly your contract address, at least if it is coming from your site itself, we know, we are looking at the right token.

I just read on P2P telegram group that the dumping is no fault of team as it looks like they've not move their allocation to any exchange, the dump is probably from investors who are expecting a price dump from bounty participants, so they are trying to get their money out before bounty distribution.
~

I don't know why people are even surprise about the dump, we all know that most of project of this days will offer huge bonus to investors and private investors as well, now look at price even though bounty distribution has not even started, unfortunately this is the reality, the whole market is dumping as it is, any investor who believe in the project will hold for a good price and those who just want short term profit will sell and move on.

I hope no one will blame the hunters here. Because the sudden drop is definitely not their fault. They don't have their tokens yet. I am wondering how much the price of this token would be once they received their allotment? This is the reason why many bounties only ended up pennies once received in their wallets.
1570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legit or not on: October 15, 2020, 11:59:41 AM
Its time to hear if bitcoin is legit or not!!
Someone with good and legit reputation need say here if bitcoin is secure safe and legit!!

We Trust USA dollar because its Federal reserve are legit guys!!

So is bitcoin good or not?

Someone like donald Trump should if its legit
Actually, bitcoin is legit it's just that people are abusing it that's why some people still doubt Bitcoin. I don't know why you still have some doubts and still ask this kind of question when you have been active here in the forum for some time already. Also, would people like us still be into Bitcoin or even spend time here if it's not legit? While safety is already on your part, how you will secure your assets.

I would understand OP asking this question if you are new to bitcoin but since you've been here for a year now, why still ask this kind of question?

If you will browse his post history, he has a lot of threads created but some of them are really meaningless. What I want to say is, questions that you can answer yourself by common sense. So I don't know if the OP is trolling the forum or he is serious about stating his opinions? But just to give brief answer whether bitcoin is legit or not. Absolutely legit! Because if it is not, maybe up until now you can't convert it to your fiat. So for me, that's the easy answer on that. Bitcoin has equivalent fiat value in the market. This is the reason why you can spend it in so many ways. I don't know what's the point of the OP here. If he doesn't believe in btc, why is he still in the forum?  Tongue
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcreds(BCRS) - CPU PoW/Masternodes on: October 14, 2020, 11:42:28 PM

Great news! Could you provide a timeline? When can we expect all these innovations?
And will there be a marketing campaign? It's no secret - few people know about the project,
you need to convey information to the masses, but this requires money and a certain budget.
How do you plan to solve this problem?

I stated on Discord that this was more of a pre-announcement and that for now this is the only information I'm willing to offer. The timeline depends a lot on how many people join me on this quest so to speak.

For now, we will be working on the next big release of information about the project and I will continue to develop the codebase myself so that we have a solid starting point. There's a saying that goes along the lines that first you should lead/help yourself and then others will follow therefore after the following announcements I plan on taking some new people with me on this endeavour.

As a final note, we're mainly looking for C++ and JavaScript developers and I think it will be not just a job for them but something to look up to with a big smile. Grin

What particular use cases in the market are you going to explore this time? What do you think will be your main business to focus with so as to ensure that this platform will not gonna die? Most alts are dying because they can't venture a specific use case successfully. If you can get at least one strong use case in the market, I believe you can survive a lil bit long than others.
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Ethpro finance (EPF) token on: October 14, 2020, 08:30:07 PM
The only activity i see is in twitter page. Medium is empty, telegram is very small. Of course i understand that it is easy to reproach, but team should put more effort on the project and do more activity Sad

Not seeing a very solid plan based on their roadmap. Just a generic plan to come by. And also, they need to remove the logos of exchanges on their website like Kucoin, that part is misleading as they are not yet listed in those exchanges. How sure they are that they will be accepted by Kucoin? I suggest to put only the logo and corresponding links of the exchange where this token is currently in trading. Others should be removed as it is still premature and there's no actual use of putting up those logos, just deceiving people.
1573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Protesters in Nigeria used Bitcoin as alternative of banks as CBN blocked accts. on: October 13, 2020, 09:51:22 PM
And to check how much they have right now in that btc address -

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1CWdxSTKang1toEv2an1AY3z8cuwiapyno

Not bad huh! They collected about $6k, just by tweeting. They haven't touched it yet. As others have pointed out, this will make their fellowmen aware about the benefits of transacting with bitcoin. And that will create the awareness of crypto among other things.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: CometFinance ☄️- DeFi with Secured Investment 🛡️ on: October 13, 2020, 07:56:45 PM
Typo error on their website. Word - "yield" , unless they have their own meaning for using the word yeild.

The roadmap is very generic. Are we going to see more comprehensive roadmap taking into account how they will achieve their mission as DeFi platform with Secured Investment? There's really nothing new here.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: GNEISS an ERC20 Token with much much to offer... on: October 12, 2020, 10:27:53 PM
Is this your website for this Gneiss project -

https://gneiss.io/

You forgot to include in the OP. Or maybe other links will be added later on? From your whitepaper, this project has been on the works since 2016,  so why is it that it took long for this project to launch in public?

What do you think has changed over these past years that you are now sure that you can make it in the crypto market?
1576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The world’s first blockchain toothbrush lets u mine coins by brushing your teeth on: October 12, 2020, 09:34:52 PM
The OP didn't give the article link so I searched in google -

https://technode.com/2018/03/27/the-worlds-first-blockchain-toothbrush-lets-you-mine-coins-by-brushing-your-teeth/

And then, it was way back in 2018 and checked again the OP. This thread was old so wonder why suddenly it becomes alive?

With this the dentists will get to be the miners, and surely this toothbrush will be costing high in the market. What's the need of blockchain technology into the toothbrush. When one brush the teeth, it gets mined. Common man will brush twice a day. Morning two minutes and in the evening two minutes. In this four minutes of time what'll be got as the mined output.

But anyway, the site supposedly that will manufacture this toothbrush is 32 teeth ( https://32teeth.cn/indexv1.html ) and they are still up but don't know if the particular toothbrush for mining is a success. Couldn't find any updates what happened to this project? There's AYA ticker but there's no AYA token related to this project. So I assume, they are not successful?
1577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is UniSwap the most powerful in the Defi market? on: October 11, 2020, 11:11:30 PM
It’s just 10 days back that DeFi protocol Uniswap launched their Uni token and now Uniswap becomes the first DeFi protocol to cross $2 Billion.

Read more: https://www.worldcoinindex.com/news/defi-protocol-uniswap-crosses-2-billion-in-total-value-locked

Will Uniswap remain it's top position or is this just a hype?
I already try UNISWAP and all I can say is so great, the platform is so simple, swap our token without making any deposit, I think HYPE is about the situation but UNISWAP is about the features, So my conclusion is Uniswap is not just a hype. But remember this is new and something new is more risk than the old projects

It is nice to read good feedback from this exchange. Though I haven't used this exchange yet, but maybe in the future if I have the chance to trade eth tokens. But what I am worried about this DEX is that, in time they will be full of worthless tokens. What are their plans to get rid of those crap tokens? Right now, they are like the popular DEX, where everyone wants to go to. Curious how long they can sustain the interest of these users.

Whether it's the same user who just c/p their old posts with minor changes, or it's plagiarism, I have no doubt that the OP should think deeply about his actions and read the forum rules. Low quality topics do not belong here.

Came to find out after 5 pages of this thread, he just copied his post to someone else's.  Roll Eyes  Also, as others already stated, it doesn't mean that bitcoin is illegal if the government has not approved the usage of it.

Take a look below articles and you can see the global map about the status of bitcoin around the globe. From the overview of it, all the colored green are countries having bitcoin as legal entity. So btc is actually not doing bad after more than a decade of its existence.

FDC Whitepaper

The FDC Whitepaper has just been released!
Have you guys see the whitepaper? I saw the things that were displayed there were very brief, especially the roadmap which only had 2 plans. I don't know if it's worth it or not, but I don't think so. But if just playing around, why they are bother to distributing token airdrop with transaction fee up to $ 4, I receive the airdrop token and see the fee is high.

And you realized that sending it to maybe uniswap is not worth it, right? Paying for fee that amount and in return how much you will get? Same? So don't ever bother transferring it as you will only incur negative balance. In my impression of their 4-page whitepaper, this is a very weak project. Don't know if they can even get to the point of web application launch. Stay vigilant!
1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]OntoSwap - The First Cross-Chain Decentralized Exchange built on Ontology on: October 10, 2020, 10:58:53 PM
Are you sure ? Take a look this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5281147.0 an accusation has came.

I suggest the OP should respon to the thread and make it clear if this project is really legit.
He will never to take a look at that thread as such an account has already made to bump the scam project. It looks like we came to a conclusion if this project should be banned from our list. This scam coin is also claiming to be the first cross-chain dex built on ontology while there was another project that already exists too.

There are so many scammers these days created finance project that related to the exchange or swap service.
We will look into this & get back.
Thanks
I guess you wouldn't bother to coming into the thread for something that you can't even explain, you'll just disappear in leave this project behind.
I still don't see you dropping in there, can't wait to see someone who's been caught defend himself.

What I am wondering here is that why bother to have partnerships if they will just make a blunder like this - publishing fake profiles? Do they really have those strategic partnerships? Because if this project is real, they will rectify this problem fast. Maybe admit that someone put a mistake in publishing fake photos? But one can really not get away from that. Why publish fake profiles in the first place, if they have no ill intentions in the future?
