Warum sollte man das wollen? Man kann auch mit dem Drucker oder mit Kartoffelstempeln sein eigenes Papiergeld drucken. Das ist ungefähr genau so sinnvoll.

Weißt du was die Zukunft bringt? Muss ja nur einer populär werden - ist doch jedem selbst überlassen.

Fact is Abdi claims he needs no money till the products are ready, so why give home any in the first place? People need to apply a little thought before purchasing anything else through this forum that hasn't been proven beyond significant doubt to be real...

This.

It's one thing to make an announcement before time (without pre-orders) so that people can make an informed decision and possibly hold off buying other equipment, but totally another to ask them to commit when not only is there no need, but also no reason.

Plus 30% is still a nice amount to own and bad amount to loose...

Sucht mal unter https://forum.litecoin.net/ nach litecoinbamt oder smos, sind beides gut aufbereitete Varianten wo schon alles vorbereitet ist.
1568  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Bitcoin Mining Monitoring on: August 09, 2013, 04:46:13 AM
I am familiar with C# and .NET (did some AES stuff in a previous life via C# since it was a MS shop), but I have a non-MS preference these days. I'll take a look and may use this as an opportunity to learn something new. I have been meaning to learn Lua. Wink

There's absolutely no need to use MS technologies for this. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can PM or my email is in my sig.

I agree, wouldnt really make it useable on linux too Sad
1569  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Bitcoin Mining Monitoring on: August 08, 2013, 02:05:55 PM
Update: Just read it, doesnt work with the popular ones yet - nevermind.

It works with bfgminer and cgminer, which is what both MultiMiner and Asteroid for Mac use to do their mining. Those two tools are UI front-ends for the two standard miners. There is also an open and simple API.

I was talking about the remote control feature, wont work without multiminer - like i said, there are monitors for every taste - there is a reason i created one myself, i didnt like the others enough Grin
1570  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Bitcoin Mining Monitoring on: August 08, 2013, 01:11:34 PM
Hi there. I've also launched a service that lets you remotely monitor and control your coin mining. It includes email alerts and push notifications when machines go offline, devices go offline, or devices get too warm. You can find more information here. It's very easy to setup and requires no port forwarding, no open firewalls, no web server, etc.

Interesting, never heared of it before though...

How about some screenshots? And not sure how you control the miners - does this work with cgminer and co yet or only your multi miner?

Update: Just read it, doesnt work with the popular ones yet - nevermind.
1571  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Bitcoin Mining Monitoring on: August 08, 2013, 10:44:30 AM
It all depends on your network environment and technical skills, some monitors only work inside your lan, others work from your server but pull from the miner thus needs port forwarding and mine just receives from miners but its hosted and not free - so there is a solution for everyone Smiley

Have the miner running in the background, be able to watch live results, but have the miner run at half speed

Why's that? Never heared that screen reduces speed...

Thanks for all your work mumus!

One thing I noticed -- If I run jhPrimeminer.exe overnight, my PPS seems to go down from when it initially ran (from 44k -> 29k), is this something others are experiencing? Could it just be due to something like CPU throttling for heat? When I restart, my PPS goes back up to the top. This was also with v4, just started with v5 Cheesy

Guess you are usually lucky at the beginning and the numbers even themself out over time...
1574  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Uses for Block Erupter sticks after they're worthless for mining on: August 01, 2013, 10:54:22 AM
You can use them for every sha coin out there...just sayin.

How can I install your miner on VPS server, e.g. Digital Ocean?
You'd have to use a VNCServer instance and run it through WINE as far as I know. (haven't tested in mono)

Yes, working fine with standard wine Smiley

1578  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: cgminer config from URL on: July 02, 2013, 05:06:33 PM
Or better yet, put config file on mounted drive.  Let all the cgminers read it from one location.

Yeah something like that but i got all different gpus so its a bit more tricky ^^
1579  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: cgminer config from URL on: July 02, 2013, 05:03:40 PM
Put cgminer.conf on the network, run remote script (php, cgi or whatever) to wget that script to the machine cgminer is running.  Use akbash to recycle cgminer process remotely (which will load your new config file).
Problem solved.

Same workaround as posted by me before, not what i asked...

Create start bat file to download the config file, save it locally and start cgminer.

If you want it right in the cgminer,  just put your wget call to cgminer main(), save the file, let the cgminer read it and do its
thing.  Kill the process remotely (with whatever method you fancy) if you need to reload the config.

You'd have to compile your version of cgminer as I don't think Con would allow this change.  Ask him directly.

Yeah i didn't think about the easy bot control issue, i thought it to be a great addition Cheesy
1580  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: cgminer config from URL on: July 02, 2013, 04:20:55 PM
Yes, it does, which is what CGWatcher does and why it needs full API access.

Kay and you don't need cgwatcher for this, i've been doing this with php...i'll think of something Smiley
