1561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: June 22, 2017, 03:44:36 AM
I store a part (very small percentage) in an online wallet where I use them to buy litecoins for gambling but the chunk of my savings are in the core wallets with my privatekeys saved on a flash drive.
If you can encrypt that flash drive that way even if someone gets his hands on that flash drive then they will not be able to use it to steal your coins, maybe it could be a good idea to hide that flash drive instead of being around your room that way the chances of being stolen get lower.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a bubble? on: June 21, 2017, 02:14:30 AM
Actually Ethereum itself is not a bubble but people have to buy ethereum to invest in icos. I think icos must accept 4-5 different currency at the same rate to avoid this absurdity.

I think most of the ICO are dubious. It is better not to invest in them.
Most ICOs are not only a waste of money but a waste of time too, many spend some time trying to figure out if the ICO is going to be successful and read the white paper but to be honest the only thing they are doing is gambling with their money.
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is declining as top crypto currency. Why? on: June 21, 2017, 01:43:28 AM
If bitcoin fall,so is the other coin, dev is looking for some solution to problem that occur now
We will see some changes in august and later,so just wait and see what will happen
I don’t think it is going to be that automatic, I think the other altcoins may go up simply because some people will like to get out of bitcoin without going to fiat and for that they will need altcoins,m so to me there is a chance ETH will go even higher before it begins to go down in price.
1564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reaching 3000 usd after 3 weeks on: June 21, 2017, 01:40:43 AM
Bitcoin have became so unpredictable now. Here people are not able to predict the price for next day. 3 weeks is a long time. I hope bitcoin will continue to grow. Many people are showing interest in bitcoin and this may leads to reasonable appreciate in price.
Bitcoin has been unpredictable since the beginning, who could have thought that those coins with almost no value now are valued at more than 2700, I have read some old threads were people were incredibly excited when bitcoin finally reached dollar parity.
1565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to increase BTC? on: June 20, 2017, 03:02:14 AM

You need to work hard and work smart. Those two techniques is required for you to increase your btc. By joining in different campaigns is also a source for you to increase your btc and especially by trading.

yeah you are right joining signature campaign is a good and steady way to increase your bitcoin because nowadays the signature campaigns are paying a good amount if you have high rank and work honestly then you can grow your bitcoin the other methods of increasing bitcoin is trading, investment, faucet, gambling etc.
yeah signature campaign joining is a good opportunity to make some free bitcoin but signature campaign income is very much low for many people we know that there is a lot of people want to earn bitcoin high amount and i think Trading is the best way to increase your bitcoin in any amount in less time.

- Sure, the income from signature campaigns is not too high because it's a fixed salary, we can not increase it, but this is the best way to earn free bitcoin and the risk from the signature campaign is almost zero, it also helps us have the first capital to start with trading. Trading is a good way to earn bitcoin fast but the risk comes from it is quite large, sometimes trading has many situations we can not predict and can make us lose a lot of money, trading depends a lot on analytical skills and experience, it is not as simple as the signature campaign
We all know that the lesser the risk the lesser the earning and in a signature campaign there is no risk that we take at all. We just offer our services and we get a compensation for it.

We are just the labors here in the signature campaign and the labors get some fix amount for their work. The money is made by the investors so it is good to invest and trade beside the signature campaigns.
You can invest your earnings from signature campaigns in order to try to bring more profits to yourself just look for projects that you think are worth your time or that bring something new to the community and with that you could make some decent bitcoin out of it.
1566  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: June 20, 2017, 02:59:44 AM
Even some months ago bitcoin'a price was 600$ but it started to rise and everyone sees how it become 1300$, than 1-2 month ago we had a little fall and lowest price was 890$ but than it returned to it's 1200-1300 and continued to rise and rise and we see what we get in result, bitcoin's price is 2750$ currently. This is very high rise and what do you think guys, will we see fall from 2700 to 1000 or even to 600$ ? Can we to forget worries of price fall?

A fall can definitely happen anytime. But I'm thinking about a crash to about $2000 or $1800 only. It would be too much of a disaster for Bitcoin to fall to something lower than $1000. I'm not saying it's impossible though, it's definitely possible. Anything can happen at this point.

I'm actually expecting a crash nextmonth (end of July) because of the possible split between Bitcoin Unlimited and Bitcoin Core. But I expect it to come back to a rise immediately after a few weeks of months.
In my opinion that is the worst scenario, an scenario where we get a split but we have two different chains that survive, I would like for only one of the coins to survive, no matter which one, but if we get two we will get similar problems to what happened to ETH and ETC only worst.
1567  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: June 20, 2017, 02:55:55 AM
Bankers can not influence the situation with bitcoin. Bankers can take an unlimited amount of Fiat money, but to have access to bitcoin they can't. Besides who wants to borrow in bitcoins if the price can rise to it. Such a loan can result in bankruptcy.

Currently I doubt if anyone will borrow in bitcoins because if the upward trend but the opposite holds true too, you can also borrow and pay less if Bitcoin prices goes down.
Yeah the risk is simply too high, if bankers borrowed in bitcoin they will be probably forced to charge interest rates which will be very high for the average person in order to try to cover for possible losses due to the changing nature of the price of bitcoin.
1568  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much BTC is required for trade? on: June 20, 2017, 02:53:04 AM
I think especially if you trade in altcoins you can start with virtually nothing and build up a big amount cause there are already several 1000x coins out there. If you also increase your holdings through short term trading there is no limit to the wealth you can create even with a minimum deposit amount into an exchange.
I disagree the amount of risk you will need to take to make something out of almost nothing will be gigantic, the chance of making money will be very low and the chance of losing every single cent will go through the roof, you will never make it doing that.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum future is Bright on: June 20, 2017, 02:51:09 AM
ETH is trading at insane levels, I think at the moment we are in an altcoin bubble, the altcoins have gone up at such an incredible rate that this is impossible to maintain, and among them ETH seems to be one that is especially inflated to the point that to me a crash seems imminent.

90% of the users here have been waiting for the altcoin prices to crash ever since Ether reached BTC0.05 in March. But after three months, it continues to rise, at a rate which even eclipses the corresponding rise of Bitcoin. How long this is going to continue? Perhaps Ether is going to stay at these levels.
It is impossible to know when, the truth is no one knows but the fundamental issue is there, it is going to happen because there is no way these levels of market capitalization can be maintained, from the beginning of the year we are overall 570% up in market capitalization in all markets.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin splits into 2 differents coins would bitcoin legacy be a altcoin? on: June 18, 2017, 06:48:01 PM
if bitcoin splits into 2 differents coins would bitcoin legacy be a altcoin?what would change about the 2 coins?on would be control by miners?each coins with different developers?
The altcoin will be the one with the less support, it is simple, if bitcoin legacy is the one with the most support then that will be bitcoin, if bitcoin BIP 148 is the one with the most support then that will be the bitcoin and the other will be the altcoin.
1571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN DEMAND EXPLODE IN INDIA on: June 18, 2017, 06:38:31 PM
Exploding demand, high premium

"Zebpay, one of India’s Bitcoin exchanges, has over 500,000 downloads of its mobile app and is adding about 2,500 new users every day."

The scarcity of Bitcoins in India has resulted in Bitcoin being traded at a significant premium. The Bitcoin price in India touched INR 225,000 (~$3,500) before declining slightly. International users cannot arbitrage the demand for Bitcoins in India due to capital controls and foreign exchange regulations.
Exchanges overwhelmed

So how are exchanges coping with this overwhelming demand?

Zebpay urged investors to be cautious while buying Bitcoins, citing the high volatility

Zebpay tweeted “Bitcoin prices are very volatile right now. Please use caution when investing. This is a new technology innovation on a global but early stage. Your investment should match your knowledge. Be safe!”

However, this didn’t have the intended effect on Bitcoin investors. Zebpay later introduced a daily limit of INR 50,000 (~$780) on Bitcoin purchases.

Zebpay tweeted:

“Dear user, we have put temporary buy limits of Rs 50,000 per day due to the shortage of Bitcoin stocks. These limits are temporary and will be revised as market conditions change.”

The situation was no different at other Bitcoin exchanges. Coinsecure, one of India’s leading exchanges was down, citing the exponential growth of users causing stress on the Company’s systems. The company expects the downtime to continue over the next few days. Visitors to the website were greeted with the following message.

Letter

500,000 downloads in a country of a billion people, umm that's .05% of the population. I'm not saying Bitcoin isn't getting more interest but let's go easy on the 'explode' shall we.
It is relative, when you consider the whole population of India, it seems the new interest in bitcoin to be very small, but if the community of people in India using bitcoin was small then this may be in fact a huge growth and to say it is an explosion is in fact the correct term.
1572  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin hit 3500$ in 2018?  ??? on: June 18, 2017, 06:35:43 PM
It can hit 3500$ already this year, by next year its anyone's guess but for sure it will continue its rise as more and more people are using it but more crucially big funds are taking a huge interest. If a US ETF eventually gets approved 10k$ is easily possible.

We won't really know, basing on the fact that there would be a soft fork on August 1 for Bitcoin and there would be BIP 148 and Bitcoin legacy, there would be two chains and somehow you could really get in trouble if you made a transaction in a different chain or probably make a double spend or something. I don't know how it really works yet.
Correct, some have recommended that you do not touch your coins during that time, and also one of the most important things, you need to control your private keys, this means that if you have bitcoin in an exchange or web wallet then transfer them to a wallet you control.
1573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: June 18, 2017, 06:33:05 PM
Bitcoin has proven to be sound as gold/fiat currencies if not more sound. It is faster to move arround, it is backing more than 600 other cryptocurrencies, Its value has increase over the years at an exponential rate and only downside with Bitcoin is that it is deflatory

Well many are treating it already as a digital gold and we can't deny that it is a digital money. So the sound of money in bitcoin is reliable and it's a fact. And as a crpyto currency bitcoin can be use for purchasing different things online that makes it a legitimate money. Another plus factor of it is it's a good investment.
The last factor that you name, is in my opinion the most revealing when it comes to decide if bitcoin is sound money or not, holding fiat is a bad investment you lose purchase power every year, but with bitcoin this is not the case and this proves bitcoin is sound money.
1574  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: June 18, 2017, 06:29:18 PM
Reasons you should buy Bitcoin now yah because Bitcoin will soon cross 4000$ mark and it will be a very good investment for you. You can double your principal in a year or so and that's a very good deal.

Not only that bitcoin is completely independent currency where it is relying on the government. Yes, Bitcoin is a good investment where you can double your money but at the same, all crypto needs a lot of patience in order to make money.
Bitcoin is slow to double your money if you compare it to other cryptocurrencies but when you compare it to anything else you can invest in the truth is bitcoin is extremely fast to produce good results, you will need to wait a few years but that is nothing in the world of finance.

Yes bitcoin is slower to double your money but it is the better than gold or fiat investment and also bitcoin is more stable than other alt coin, but if you preferred high risk trading then bitcoin is not for you, bitcoin price will slowly up and the crash down will not last for a long time, so bitcoin is better for investment but not too good for trading compare to alt coin
Don’t get me wrong I prefer bitcoin over the competition, yes the money you can get with altcoins is very tempting but the truth is unless you have a way to know the future beforehand then we will be just gambling with altcoins which is the reason I have bitcoin as my main investment.
1575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: June 17, 2017, 01:41:32 AM
I use several wallets, my main stash is in cold storage, to avoid the chances of it being stolen by a hacker, but the other wallets are desktop wallets that are in my computer, I think that is safer than to have web wallets and risk the site being hacked.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 17, 2017, 01:31:47 AM
It is because we all want more money and there is not enough for your greed which is ever increasing. The greed and temptation to win more money makes a person mad and then they cannot stop playing.

Everyone can stop playing when they want but some people just dont want to stop. There are dfference between those that dont want to stop and blame their greed because they lose. The majority are the one that actually blame greed when they lose, they know they can stop but they choose to not stop and rage when they lose
Most of the time it is easier to blame something or someone else than to recognize that we are the ones that are at fault when it comes to our behavior, that is a very common defense mechanism that people use to protect themselves of having to examine themselves.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this State important to uncovering Satoshi on: June 17, 2017, 01:28:02 AM
Satoshi is global, because we are all Satoshi now.  Grin .... The hunt for Satoshi should stop, because there is nothing to be gained to identify him

or her or them.  Roll Eyes Yes, you would solve a mystery, but you will be the villain in the story. Bitcoin fanatics will hunt you down and kick the shit

out of you, if something happens to the real Satoshi. { arrested, murdered, abducted assaulted ....} Bad things might happen to Satoshi, once

his real identity is revealed.  Angry
Those that are hunting satoshi do so in an effort to become famous themselves, they say that the one that finds satoshi will win a Pulitzer and to be honest I think they are right, so this is not about solving a mystery or anything like that this is about money and fame.
1578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: June 17, 2017, 01:22:22 AM
Many countries worry because bitcoin is anonymous, so it can be used for a variety of illegal acts such as money laundering and terrorism. Maybe that's the main reason many countries in the world not supported bitcoin
That is just an excuse, that is small potatoes compared to what bitcoin can do to shape the way finances work in the world, it is very obvious governments and banks see the potential and the risk of losing the profits they make by doing nothing, I think the reason we don’t see a ban on bitcoin is for the reason another like it can be created at will by anyone.

You can't just say "another like it can be created". There no other digital currency like bitcoin, thay may have the same part though bitcoin is the original digital currency. You can't say like bitcoin, but another altcoin based on bitcoin.
Of course I can say it, just copy paste the code and you have a new bitcoin, no one will use it at the moment since we have bitcoin already, but if at some point someone tried to destroy bitcoin then another 100 bitcoins could be created, just look at what happened with the piratebay.
1579  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic effects of bitcoins on: June 16, 2017, 04:01:01 AM
I was just thinking that since Bitcoins is 100% on the internet, what would happen if the whole world adopts it and 20M bitcoins gets stolen by a genius similar to what happened to Bitfinex?
A genius will not be able to do this, it will need be someone with access to technology we do not know yet, so either the governments will be behind this or aliens, governments could try to do this but aliens have better things to do than to worry about that.Smiley
1580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is declining as top crypto currency. Why? on: June 16, 2017, 03:57:53 AM
And why do you think bitcoin is being surpassed be Eth, could you please elaborate in more detail? In twenty four hours ethereum trading volumes passed bitcoin trading according to data from CoinMarketCap on tuesday. But I don't think that is sufficient "proof" that bitcoin is less popular all of a sudden. If Eth sustains higher trading volumes over a longer period, then maybe we can say Eth is provably more popular than bitcoin.  It is nowhere near it for now.
The reason many are thinking this is because the market cap of Ethereum has gone very high in the last months and that is why some think that it may end up surpassing bitcoin in that metric, I think it will be difficult for ETH to achieve this alone, a decrease in the price of bitcoin is needed as well.
