Truthfully Strasbourg v Lens match is going on much more competitive than I expected.

The first half ended up by a 2-2 tie. Strasburg have been playing such a dedicated game against the second-positioned team of the league. They did this against PSG also actually and it was really interesting. You know why I'm saying this. They are in a much worse condition than last season. They finished that season at the 6th position but now they are fighting for getting out of the relegation zone. This is a huge change in such a short time period. But they still somehow find the strength to fight hard against big or in-form teams. I'm thinking of placing a bet on Lens win if this score doesn't change until the 70th minute. Because I think they will still find a way to win this and not get away from PSG.

Even Arsenal are rumoured with Eden Hazard these days. His contract is expiring in the summer of 2024. There have been many rumours such as he will leave Real Madrid in this month. I only heard about him being related to the Turkish team Fenerbahce but I don't know how reliable that source is. Fenerbahce are known by bringing big players to the Super League after they start getting old. We have had many examples like Roberto Carlos, van Persie and so on.

But I don't think there won't be any other European team being interested in him. Yes maybe he has lost his shape after joining Real Madrid but maybe leaving the team would improve his motivation to play better again. I wonder what he can do in case he returns to the Premier League also.

Will this match be the one Arsenal get their second loss in the season? I have mixed feelings about that.

Because it is the truth that Tottenham are quite superior to Arsenal in home matches in the Premier League so far. It is up to them to benefit from this superiority. I expect Tottenham players to have a good mental before this match thanks to a huge win the last time. Arsenal lost two points against Newcastle unlike them. But I doubt this would cause them to lose their concentration even a little. They are fully concentrated on the title from now on. Maybe this is a tough match but Arteta will aim to win by not playing cowardly.

I think of betting both teams to score for this one because both teams have a huge potential for scoring. I know there was none in the Arsenal - Newcastle match but I'll still try my luck with this one. 

PSG had better prepare well for their upcoming matches especially after the two matches right ahead of them. Because they are going to be entering a quite tight schedule in the league. There are going to be only few days between two matches until their Champions League match against Bayern Munich. PSG need to focus on leaving this period with as good results as possible. Messi, Mbappe and Neymar need to stay fit for the Bayern Munich match otherwise there will be a much tougher challenge waiting for them.

These three players are PSG's everything in the end. I hope they manage to keep these players away from injuries also. For example Neymar is quite injury-prone and he is the player about whom I'm worried the most. He has also made a huge contribution to the team so far. Hence they need him also as much as Mbappe and Messi.

The odds of the Celta Vigo - Villarreal match are pretty interesting.

It is like 2.88 to 2.46. Villarreal are favoured by it is a slight difference according to bookmakers. I don't know why they are seeing this match that close while there is a 11-point gap between these teams already. Villarreal are in a much better shape and they are on a three-match winning streak also. Especially the Real Madrid win must have made an enormous level of impact on the players. They should be coming to this match with a much bigger morale than their opponent. But I still don't think of betting on Villarreal as I'm not comfortable after seeing the odds.

I think Wilfried Zaha is one of the players who have got stuck at a team despite having a good potential. Zaha has been one of the effective wingers in the Premier League. Especially in the recent years he has had a really good performance at Crystal Palace. He has been playing for them around 7-8 years. He could have found himself a bigger team to compete for some achievements. But it looks like he doesn't have any intention of leaving now also. Because I have read that he wants to continue with his team.

His current contract is going to expire by this summer. Let's see what Crystal Palace will do about this. I assume they wouldn't like to lose some of their important players easily.

Bologna are still having a good performance in the second half also. Atalanta are lucky also at the same time because both of their goal attempts in this half ended up with goals. Even if they win this match somehow this performance level is still unacceptable for them. Hopefully the players and manager are also aware of this. Bologna are in a better condition about ball possession in this half. We are in the last ten minutes now and Atalanta defense need to be tougher than ever.

Atalanta need to win this at all costs because only a win can help them pull themselves together. This win will help them stay only three points away from Inter which are the fourth-placed team in the standings. Top four is very important for any big team around the area and the competition is fiercer this season.

A tough matchup is waiting for Liverpool up next. It is going to be an away match against Brighton. After the big loss against Brentford I wonder if there will be another one here.

Right after Potter left Brighton they had a hard time period for some weeks. But they started to get accustomed to De Zerbi in time. They have a really improved morale also after destroying Everton in Goodison Park by 4-1. Brighton are like one of the most productive teams in terms of scoring this season. Their weakness is also defending just as Liverpool. I think we will watch both teams playing an attacking football. This means that we could see both teams scoring also. My first choice for betting is going to be both teams to score.

Harry Maguire is surely not leaving Manchester United in this month. There have been rumours linking him with Aston Villa but the statement from Manchester United side must be enough to end these speculations.

Maguire has been one of the players who are detrimental to the team so far truthfully. His performance in the previous season was horrible. He didn't start very well in this season also. However he was quite impressive in the World Cup. It was like he learned from this mistakes finally and started to be a much better defender. But I still have doubts about his performance in the Premier League. He had better stay as a substitute in league matches especially. These times they are doing well so ten Hag needs to be careful with his player choices.

Real Madrid are ahead of them now? I don't recommend you to be very sure of it if you mean the La Liga title.

Because Real Madrid have just lost to Villarreal by not showing a much impressive performance. They had serious issues with defending and Villarreal punished them really hard by 2-1. Real Madrid need to make these point losses happen at minimum level otherwise their job is going to be really difficult against Barcelona. I can say that Barcelona are really bad in big matches. However they have been more successful than Real Madrid as for the matches versus smaller teams in the league. Real Madrid still continue to lose many points in such matches.

From now on the Champions League is going to be really crucial for Liverpool. Because things aren't going well for them in the English Premier League at all. They are still unable to keep a consistent and good form and this is causing them to get away more from even top four. They have a significant possibility of not finishing in top four as long as they don't make a big improvement in this effort. In this case they will need to push hard for the Champions League title. I know that it is a much harder task but they need to try anyway.

Besides they have been performing more impressively in the Champions League already. If they eliminate Real Madrid in this round they will already eliminate one of the biggest contenders of the title.

There are still two weeks until the Bundesliga returns after the break due to the World Cup. This break has been very long for sure. The other European leagues have already started and we have watched many matches. I don't know why they decided to make the Bundesliga fixture like this. This break is just helping Bayern Munich of course. Because Mane is still injured and he is expected to return on early February. He might even miss the first leg of the PSG matchup in the Champions League.

At least this break helps him miss less matches than the expected. Maybe the physiotherapists of the club would manage to make him ready for the PSG match. Because they really need every one of their skilled players in this tough matchup.

Another tough match will be waiting for Chelsea up next. They have an away match against Fulham which is their missing match at the same time. Chelsea actually have a very dominant history against Fulham. They have defeated them so many times no matter it is away or home recently.

However things are quite different now. Chelsea are still unable to recover properly. They tried to do their best against Manchester City but it wasn't enough for even one point. They need an immediate win to pull themselves together. But Fulham are one of the tough teams to defeat this season. They are even ahead of Chelsea by 3 points now. Chelsea will need to watch out for the Mitrovic threat especially. He is a goal machine for Fulham - 11 goals. If he isn't stopped then Chelsea can lose points once again.

It is still very early to be confident about any side between Barcelona and Real Madrid to make it to the La Liga title now. Because they aren't much different from each other in the standings. They have the same points before anything else. Actually there is a difference between them now. It is that Real Madrid are much better than Barcelona in big matches. We have seen many examples of it as a proof so far in the season. This was the main reason why they had a horrible form in the Champions League.

If Barcelona don't win the next El Clasico in the league then their job might be more difficult for achieving the title. Of course being consistent against smaller teams is the key to the championship. But it feels like they will have similar forms in such matches.

According to a speculation, Ajax want 40 million pounds to let Mohammed Kudus go. Manchester United have been a candidate to sign him these days.

He is a brilliant player now. His performance so far has been impressive also. He has 10 goals and 2 assists in 21 matches in total. He is only 22 now and his market value is really low like 20 million euros. I think there is a good opportunity for any bigger team to go for him. He is a player who can play not only in the midfield but also as a centre-forward. He has been impressive as a striker also this season. Liverpool and Arsenal are the other teams monitoring him actually. We might see a nice rivalry here. Especially Liverpool are in need of a midfielder these days so they might try their chance with Kudus.

I don't know how good Chelsea would be able to do with this game against Dortmund. Because they are still having serious issues in their Premier League matches these days. Currently they are playing against Manchester City and they are the losing side by 1-0. However they might not play in the same way in the Champions League maybe. Because they were better in the group stage while having some problems in the Premier League. Maybe they wanted to focus on the Champions League more.

But this is hurting them on one hand. They need to improve this effort and maintain a lasting winning streak. Otherwise we won't see Chelsea in the Champions League next season unless they win the Champions League title in this one. If they had Tuchel maybe there would be a small chance but now I don't even give that chance to them.

I see some people who are saying that Manchester City dominated the first half. But there was no such thing truthfully.

Chelsea were beyond the expectations and they were a big threat to their opponent during the first half. There was even a shot hit the goal post and it was a really big goal opportunity for Chelsea. Chelsea were quite good at defending so far also. In the second half Manchester City need to improve their performance much more. There isn't a weak Chelsea in front of them now. They need to have the full control of the match somehow otherwise another point loss might be at their door.
