15621  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3+ Discussion and Support Thread on: April 15, 2016, 07:59:35 PM
An S3 uses only like 340Watts so 500W PSU should be sufficient. However it probably only has 2 PCIe connectors.
15622  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: April 15, 2016, 07:58:26 PM
Its funny how when this thread was created, all we were seeing were photos of GPU rigs, then photos of ASICs, and now we are back to photos of GPU rigs.

15623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DualMiner Pre-Order Email? on: April 15, 2016, 07:48:11 PM
Its not a scam, they released the miner about a month ago and many people received it.

It pretty much paid for itself already with the high X11 profitability.

15624  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS][CANADA ONLY] - Antminer C1/S2/S3/S4 - Make your offers! on: April 15, 2016, 07:33:34 PM
All S3 were sold. Everything else still available.

Both are bad for mining.

Try to post some AMD deals.
15626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: regulating the speed of Antminer fans on: April 15, 2016, 08:24:30 AM
I got a S4 fan plugged into one of my mobo's, just had to set the speed to like 10% in the bios .

Don't run these types of fans on 100% because they carry too much current and might melt the pins on the motherboard.

If the fans are identical then you can always easily wire them up in series, most fans should spin at 6V's.
15627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v1.2 on: April 15, 2016, 08:16:42 AM
Probably a bug of some sort. Claymore is legit, he has been making miners for years, don't think he would scam us.
15628  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: April 15, 2016, 08:14:32 AM
Did they at least send kilo17 the 1 BTC for the bet he won ?

I think I won't use your software anymore. woke up this morning, took a look at ethermine and one of my worker disappeared.
had a mail from ethermine warning me of a morker offline at the beginning of my night.

And when I looked at that worker this morning, it was still submitting shares but not for me... as not showed on ethermine.  Huh

I think, you've had a full night of fees.

End of story with your software for me. went back to ethminer. (I like to have kisses also when I'm fucked.....)

All your GPUs probably crashed, and the program locked up but it was still mining on the GPU itself just not being able to submit anything.

I highly doubt your website will be successful with spelling mistakes and not even your own domain name.

But good luck anyways.

15632  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Asic Boost - A Speedup for Bitcoin Mining on: April 14, 2016, 11:57:29 AM
So they will release firmware updates for all miners like the S5 ? Still don't understand what they want to achieve really with this.

15633  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Advice On Bitcoin Miners. on: April 14, 2016, 11:53:04 AM
Even with free electricity its becoming a headache pretty much dealing with mining farms.

The latest miners are better because you can run more of them in a facility, however they are expensive and you won't see profits for like 4-5 months.

The older miners are much cheaper, 2 months ROI but you won't make as much because you will run out of power soon because they are inefficent.

The older miners are a safer investment, less risk, less reward.

The newer miners are a little riskier because its next to impossible to predict what will be the BTC price and Difficulty in 3 months or 6 months from now.

15634  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S4 PSU for Antminer S5 on: April 14, 2016, 11:47:15 AM
Easiest way would be to solder those screw terminals to the S5.
15635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: April 14, 2016, 08:32:54 AM
Yes he is correct, its very difficult to speculate how much you would make.

The only thing is that you should leave the money there as long as possible due to the house edge.

and this is why i don't like investing in bitcoin casinos.
it is more like a partnership rather than investment because you are sharing in the profit and also sharing in the losses and nothing is clear and set from the beginning.

Well many people do it because they have like 100-200 BTC and want it to grow for some reason. The other websites like cloud mining are all scams or low interest.
15636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Martingale Profitable ??? on: April 14, 2016, 08:32:09 AM
I think when we sit to gamble we all play progressive. We need to double, triple our bets to make something. Its true what most people think about it, nothing work on long run.
When I gamble now I don't gamble for long, sit a bit on dice game, change to roulette, poker or anything else. Play 5 - 10 minutes and that's it. I have much better results now then before when I wanted to win so much and forced every game.
For me any strategy can be profitable if you don't use it all day every day. Gambling require patience and self control.
So its not so much about strategy, its more up to you and how you feel the game! Good luck.

You can do that or you can simple double your winnings, and then triple, quadruple if you get multiple winners. This way you are risking a small amount and can win big.
15637  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cheaters (double spenders) and what the gambling sites are doing against them on: April 14, 2016, 08:30:14 AM
Wow. Seems like cheaters are getting really smart these days with these scams. I guess the website needs to wait for at least 1 confirmation then.
15638  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S4 PSU for Antminer S5 on: April 14, 2016, 02:22:04 AM
Or you could just undervolt the S4 and run it at 1TH/s and use 0.6W/GHS instead of 0.5W/GHS like the S5.
15639  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] AntMiner S4 (13 Left) on: April 14, 2016, 01:56:34 AM
ill take 10 of them for 1,100 shipped?

I think each one will cost like $50 to ship alone. Don't think he will accept your offer.
15640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: April 14, 2016, 12:45:14 AM
If I was rich I would not gamble.
The gains would matter less to me making it less fun.

And that's the reason why most people end up losing everything. Because they rely on the gains and become emotional. When rich people dont care about making or losing money, they usually come out ahead.
