15681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a profit selling BTC? on: April 17, 2015, 05:00:35 PM
Buy all the bitcoin in existence so you set the price and nobody can tank the markets constantly.
I'm waiting for a government to do just that. It will happen. The first tycoon figure that out will control the price
Wink

Buying all the bitcoins in existence would definitely be pointless, because seeing that all the bitcoins are owned by only one entity, people wouldn't look for it and state a value of their liking for them to buy one, even if it's only a dollar. In short, bitcoin would lose its value if it's bought by a single entity. That would be a dumb move to make if you might ask me.

Illegal activities that happened/is happening in the Deep Web and other places tainted bitcoin's image in the eyes of the people who are not yet involved in this cryptocurrency. It is bad, yes, but still it paved a way for people to search and look upon this currency. Also, we cannot deny the fact that every currency available in this world is tainted by illegal activities and crimes, which I think isn't that far from bitcoins.

^Fully aware of this, SilkRoad. Thanks for elaborating on the thread.

And don't forget that fiat money is also involved in different transnational crimes and illegal activities. Money laundering, drug and human trafficking, any illegal activity that you can think of, also works within fiat. Illegal activities are more evident in fiat compared to bitcoin, and that alone would be pretty discouraging as a user of fiat if you might ask me. But oh well, people have been accustomed in using fiat, and I'm pretty sure that they will have a hard time switching to cryptos sooner or later even though fiat is more tainted with stains of evil.

You can do trading. If u know the trick it will be the safest way in gaining btc and if u got some from trading you can gambling. Just pray and hope you will hit the jackpot and win a lot of btc  Grin

Btw if you do faucet it will gain a little of satoshi and it will be tired so I prefer better do the trading
Anyway it is up to you

Hope it will help

Trading is for the experienced user, which I think is still risky even though you know how to play it safe. Even the safest investments could still be fck*d by different scenarios. Also, trading--as you said it--if done right, will net the trader a very decent profit. Gambling on the other hand, is still a no-go if you might ask me. Sure you can generate some pretty good money if you win, but it's only if you win. And gambling can be addictive, which in turn might make the gambler lose all (?) of his/her money if gambling isn't controlled.

I know trading is a risky things to do and it can also be the safest way. It depends how are u going to do with it. Besides you can still learn a lot of things from the trading rather than do faucet, just sitting and click captcha even kids also can do it  Smiley.

About gambling that I just said it is only for having fun and trying your luck there,  if you are damn lucky person go try any gambling sites and hope you can win a lot and you must try to control it if not just be ready to lose all of btc that you have earned

After all, risks are always inclined with investments and businesses, and the key here is to minimize the risks as much as possible. You can do this by having a diversified portfolio and not focusing your time in one investment only. Altcoins could help you get a big profit, but sometimes it also yields you nothing if you bought in during the dumping phase.

There are gambling games that requires your knowledge and skills to win, and doesn't rely entirely on pure luck. Card games and poker are some examples of these things. You can rake in a large amount of money if you win in this things, and you can also lose big if you didn't take the time to stop playing for awhile and trying to recoup all your losses.
15684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you introduce Bitcoin to your friends and family? on: April 17, 2015, 04:41:27 PM
Well, title say all to be honest. How would you introduce them to Bitcoin? Let's say they don't exactly have the technical know-how. I've been with Bitcoin for a while, but still don't understand it fully either, so this will help me as well along the way.
Thank you

The easiest way to introduce bitcoins to people who doesn't have the knowledge to understand technical stuff is through a casual conversation on how money works; what are the pros and cons of using fiat money and what are the other alternatives on how to send it. Surely, you don't want to shove your idea on someone that doesn't even know how does money works; you first need to help them understand how fiat money works in general. Slowly, you will now tell them things which they think isn't that good in fiat, like the hassles of sending money to other parts of the world, being controlled by banks etc. Then after that, introduce them the basics of bitcoin--how it works, why is it created, and the advantages of it over using fiat money. In time, they will ask you more often on different things regarding bitcoin, and when that time comes, you know that you have done a job well done.

In order to let people know about bitcoins, you don't need to force them on learning this things. Instead, show the pros and cons of fiat and bitcoins as well. Then let them decide which of the two works better than the other. No one wants to accept something that is being forced to them; that's a part of a man's nature.
15685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream on: April 17, 2015, 04:23:32 PM
i want to add that bitcoin mainstream isn't only when bitcoin will reach a good price and will be used on large scale(adoption ecc...), but the real bitcoin mainstream will be available only when btc will be used directly, and it will not depend again from fiat

I would add that if/when Bitcoin goes mainstream it will be common to be paid for jobs in bitcoin. Once people are accustomed to receiving bitcoin they will eventually be accustomed to spending bitcoin too. No longer would exchanges be so necessary, except for the day-traders and hedging investments.

Exactly. The above-mentioned scenario could drastically increase the demand for bitcoins because companies are using it as wages for their employees. Also, if it sees widespread adoption, using bitcoins as a payment for day-to-day transactions would only be a normal scenario for us.

Well someone uses drugs

Illegal activities that happened/is happening in the Deep Web and other places tainted bitcoin's image in the eyes of the people who are not yet involved in this cryptocurrency. It is bad, yes, but still it paved a way for people to search and look upon this currency. Also, we cannot deny the fact that every currency available in this world is tainted by illegal activities and crimes, which I think isn't that far from bitcoins.

I always thought gaming with a large fan base will be the one making the difference especially when it is adopted as an in-game currency. Or another potential area is the trading marketplace where bitcoin is one of the payment currency. Either way both will have the largest impact considering the volume to attract new users who will be spending a lot

Gaming companies could really help bitcoin gain a wide-audience due to the impact of their games in the masses. If in-game items and currencies can be purchased with bitcoins, then there will be another option for hardcore gamers to pay for their top-ups and accessories in-game. Personally (without bias and stuff like that), I would use a payment system that would really help me get my desired items in-game without hassles and issues. The fast transaction that is present within the bitcoin network could help me achieve my goal, and as a gamer, I wouldn't want my games to be delayed by waiting for what I pay for; I would always want to be in every action there is with top-ups that could help me play with ease and advantage over the others, and I think bitcoin would probably help me in that.

You just hold and wait for price double bottom Tongue
And what is this stakeminer.com anyway? PoS cloudmining Cheesy ?

What is PoS cloud mining ? Roll Eyes

I guess they just hold your coins in their wallet or smth... Cheesy
Don't know what's the point in that also.

Its a technique scamcoins (I.E.. XPY) use to lock up your assets while the premine gets dumped on the exchanges for profit while you watch the value of your investment plummet in value without any recourse or a ponzi operation.

Either way ... a complete disaster.

I see... But it's ok to stack PoS coin yourself isn't it? If the premine is low. I know paycoin is a scam, but I stake paycon now and it looks quite interesting Grin

PoS coins IMO is a great way to accumulate if you have loads of it. But if some other entity hold your coins for you, well that's a different story. Playing with alts is good; it gives you a lot of knowledge, experience, and moneyif you are lucky.

One way or another, paycoin will become a total disaster in the end, just like any other scamcoins that pulled off the same trick.

Single digit? That is unless the whole bitcoin network collapses and everything is done for good. With its current state if progress right now, it's very much unlikely.

Highly unlikely, but still is possible. 5 years is such a long time in the crypto world; a lot of things could possibly happen, even the most improbable ones.
15689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make money on bitcointalk? on: April 17, 2015, 02:59:18 PM
Alternatively, you can start small with faucets

I dont think faucet will help a lot. Let us say that some faucet give you 500 satoshi if u do 10 times faucet u just can get 500*10=5000. May be you can do that if you dont have anything to do but I dont recommend it

It would be a nice starter to newbies out there but it is not recommended for them to use it in a long-term, as it will slowly clog up their wallet and cause problems on tx fees. (More reference here: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/32524/bitcoin-transaction-with-dust-output-stuck)

Signature campaigns will give you a decent amount of BTC but you must avoid spam at all costs for you to not get banned and thus, disabling your earning opportunity.
15690  Other / Meta / Re: Report Post Accuracy? on: April 17, 2015, 02:05:24 PM
Well I was quite baffled as to how it is calculated, because in the past few days I reported posts that I think were unrelated to the OP itself, and after waiting for several hours, my accuracy is still at 0%. However, I checked it again when I reported another post that is unrelated to the original discussion, and there it is displayed that I am 100% accurate with regards to my reports. So far I have reported 5 posts (and it was an achievement for me, yes) with 100% accuracy.

It just takes some time for mods to actually handle your report. While the reports are not handled (some reports might never get handled) they do not influence the accuracy.

I see now. Does that mean that any report that I've made that was not handled by the mods wouldn't affect my current accuracy in submitting these reports?

Do some mining, start with faucet and do some gambling Smiley

im not sure best way to earn bitcoins start with faucets or gambling
because faucets very low to get btc everyday
i think best way to earn bitcoins find giveaway or trading.
Faucets are low. I think freebit is the best because you have a chance of roughly $200 worth of bitcoin.

yes very low, if play faucets.
wow.. really? can take $200 worth of bitcoin from freebit
but you know how long play freebit can take $200?

Not exactly playing it, the faucet is nice and it's been (for me, though I don't use it) great for years. The referral system is the thing that'll get you some pretty nice profit--and that is if you're good at advertising your link and convincing them to join under you. I have seen many people "buying" referral links so as to increase their potential profit on this site.

hi ..My post remove 2 times ..But i don't know why ?
Plz tell us if u remove any1 post ..so we know why u remove our post ,,and we not make mistake anymore ..THX

Seems like your reply isn't related to what OP is stating at all. Off-topic replies can be removed by the mods because it disrupts the progression of a particular topic. If you want to discuss this problem of yours, try creating a new thread in this section.

As for the OP, you can't prevent the topic starter on locking his own thread. If he/she feels that the thread shouldn't be commented on, or if the thread's main objective has been fulfilled, he/she can freely lock the thread without anyone interfering him/her by doing so.

but to gave me negative to make me red here gets me angry
What the f... have we dealed to give me neg ?
have we done a deal and you have proof that i scammed you ?

And btw guys , how i can remove this neg ?

user profile : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=30747

You can leave someone a trust feedback even though you haven't deal with them in the past. And also, maybe Vod spotted something suspicious in your sales that's why he left you with such a feedback. He doesn't simply do that to users, he probably got his reasons before taking those actions. Might as well settle this with Vod and convince him to remove the negative feedback, but I don't think he would do it unless you've proven yourself as a legit seller and a trustworthy member of this forum.
15695  Economy / Speculation / Re: A bet on: April 16, 2015, 07:04:04 PM
Lots of big bear talkers here.

Who will take a $100 bet we do not see single digits by 2020.

$100 seems to be low for 5 years, and I also doubt that we will see single-digits in a span of 5 years. Someone already accepted this bet, but it seems that OP isn't pleased to the terms and conditions. $9.99 is still considered as a single-digit afaik.
15696  Other / Meta / Re: How many active members are there? on: April 16, 2015, 06:57:16 PM
I would like to see those statistics as well. Also, I would like there to be a info box that shows total users online,

Already there.

total users that's been idle for more than "x" amount of minutes.

Why is that needed?

Some sort of a graph that would show the general statistics of user registration per day and logins.

There was an analytical data about these.

ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25484.0
DOC: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Arbegqx_2nKadF9wa21Db1Z1S3hhNzF1QVBCX1p1U3c

The data were from years that have passed. It would be better if someone could do a similar analysis from where this spreadsheet ended.

Price: 0.01 or so :O

Trust ratings could be an issue if you want to sell an account. Before selling this account, you must first settle any issues that is linked together with this account. Also, please move this topic to the digital goods section because this isn't the appropriate thread.

Do you mean freebitcoi.in? Well you can actually make a decent amount of BTC in there if you have a solid referral under you. Also, there is a choice on whether you'll play a game to multiply your bitcoins, and I suggest that users shouldn't try it. If you already have the BTC, try to accumulate first before doing such things.
15699  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the Blockchain, and Why Does Bitcoin Depend On It? on: April 16, 2015, 06:43:08 PM
a thing to note, is that if bitcoin could work without the blockchain, it would be completely anonymous, definitely 100%

also another little off-topic note(but worth consideration), the first comment is the reason for the slow adoption

"last time i checked, it was also pretty easy to send USD, EUR, JPY , etc electronically."

The transfer of value between two points in the world can be done fast via electronic means. However, there is a big difference between the bitcoin and fiat. Fiat requires identification, credentials and other personal details, and the process of confirmation of identity could be long--sometimes it lasts for days, whereas in bitcoin, the user who will send the money only needs to know the receiving address of the person he's going to send to and that's it, the transaction could be processed by miners and displayed in the blockchain, making it public and thus adding to the validity of the transaction that's been done.

Blockchain is the technology invented so as to record all the valid transactions that was made inside the bitcoin network.
15700  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: April 16, 2015, 06:25:38 PM
Wait wait wait, with 3 different accounts??? How can you handle that, and how about the limit post/ip???
And, is it legal  Huh

In theory, nothing stops you from having multiple accounts in this forum (it isn't against forum rules), and using them all to join signature campaigns. In practice however, there are a couple of limitations, I suppose: as you mentioned, handling several accounts and posting with them all is probably time consuming, and will likely get you banned, if post quality is poor; and some campaign managers don't like that, and will deny you payment if you get caught doing it.

So we can just use multiple account with our own risk to get banned or anything Shocked
You can try to get into a campaign with multiple accounts but I wouldn't recommend that since it's against the signature campaign rules. Try to play  fair and only use 1 account for signatures campaign, it's worth the risk you can earn more with 1 account than multiple accounts and get banned.

I agree. I didn't even know multiple accounts for posting was a thing until I saw them being sold. I can only see sense in buying them if you need to "level up" yourself or buying it for somebody.
Being fair is better for you own profit, you won't have a risk of getting banned, you earn more and don't waste much time. All over it's better to just use one single account for your signature campaign participation.

As far as my knowledge about the forum rules go, account farming isn't strictly prohibited. Actually, it is stated in the Forum Rules:

Quote
18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

So that means that you can create multiple accounts, post using multiple accounts, and join signature campaigns with multiple accounts. As long as you abide by the forum rules, you haven't got anything to worry about (though I'm not entirely sure about joining signature campaigns with multiple accounts. Better ask the staffs and mods).

what about dev of signature campaign, recognize your style of writing? you could get a negative trust besides the ban, not worth it i think, or you should be really careful if you want to do something like this, it's not that easy especially if you run more than two(like 5-10)

Creating multiple accounts and joining a signature campaign is kinda dumb if you'd ask me, because honestly, joining in a campaign that is a pay-per-post and doesn't have limits on posting is already a good campaign. Why bother creating multiple accounts and post simultaneously and switch whenever you feel you're done? That seems to be wasting a lot of time. Also, I can see users earn to almost half a bitcoin every week. Cheesy

I agree with what's been said. It is not worth it, having limitless campaigns like Bit-X any posting you could do with another account could be done with your main account. So why bother?

True. Why bother creating another account when you can do the same thing in your main account and earn more by focusing in one and only one account? Switching between accounts is a waste of time for me, and you are also taking advantage of the offer, which I think is pretty unkind.
I agree with what's been said. It is not worth it, having limitless campaigns like Bit-X any posting you could do with another account could be done with your main account. So why bother?
Indeed. One should play fair though. People have been given a great opportunity with the signature campaigns. Their lack of self control and greed is what makes them either make multiple accounts or spam to take advantage of the offer.
A few posts will reward you with more in addition to taking less time than using faucets.

Welp, people can easily be controlled by greed. That has been proven by history a lot of times. As long as there is an opportunity, people will try to take advantage of it.
