15762  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Canaan Announces 11 Series on: October 19, 2019, 02:34:21 PM
I beg to differ.

Canaan announced the A721 on 2016-11-07. Commit 04e6a4b, titled Add Avalon7 support, was committed by qinfengling on 2016-07-29 and published by Canaan in the avalon7-dev branch of their cgminer repository on 2016-11-05. In other words, Canaan published the source code for the A721's version of cgminer two days before they officially announced the miner.

Canaan announced the A821 on 2017-12-20 at the latest. Commit 6786bbd, titled Add Avalon8 support, was committed by qinfengling on 2017-09-11 and published by Canaan in the avalon8 branch of their cgminer repository on 2017-09-27. In other words, Canaan published the source code for the A821's version of cgminer roughly three months before they officially announced the miner.

Canaan announced the A921 on 2018-09-19 at the latest. Commit fbc869b, titled Add Avalon921 support, was committed by Johnson-Fan on 2018-09-10 and published by Canaan in the avalon9 branch of their cgminer repository on 2018-09-11. In other words, Canaan published the source code for the A921's version of cgminer roughly eight days before they officially announced the miner.

Canaan announced the A10 at 2019-03-28T15:21Z. It is now almost seven months since the official announcement and there is still no published source code for the A10 in any of their GitHub repositories at the time of writing. The only entry for the A10 to date is the avalon10-docs repository, which merely contains a manual for the A10's API.

The a10 has a completely different GUI design. Maybe that change is in part why they did not publish the source code for it.

So order one for a1156 for 1265 get 56 th and a coupon
Buy an a1166 for 2055-212 = 1843 get 68 th

Cost of 3168 plus shipping 124th  and you have a 212 left over coupon maybe see it for 68
Cost of 3100.  This is pretty cheap. But February is a long ways off.

P.s.
I got the same email
I have gear due
Oct
Nov
Dec

I would not mind scheduling some of these for Feb and Jan

I wonder if they would allow PayPal as bitmain allowed PayPal for this last batch they put out.
15764  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Trump Impeachment Poll: Who's Fault Is It? on: October 18, 2019, 03:37:30 AM

Are you saying think it's ok for a president to ask other governments to open investigations on their political rivals to help them get re elected?

Or are you saying you don't think Trump asked Ukraine and China to investigate Biden and his son because he thought it would help him get more votes if Biden were nominated.  Basically it was just a coincidence that Biden happened to be his most likely General Election opponent.

Or is it something else I'm missing?

I see nothing wrong with asking anyone to open an investigation if there is suspicion of a crime.  I'm all about criminals being investigated, and even more importantly...and much more rarely...actually prosecuted.  Being a politician should not insulate one from investigation into wrongdoing or give someone a free pass for criminal behavior.  That's a big problem that the U.S. and many other countries have and part of the reason why we have such corrupt governments.

If politician A asks country B to investigate a non-existent crime against politician B for political reasons then politician A is committing a crime for which he/she can be punished.  That's the deterance.  If politician B is guilty of a crime then it's doing the world a favor to pound his balls flat.

The thing is, when you're the president you have the FBI, CIA, and DOJ all at your disposal.  They are all fully capable of investigating Bidens and his sons behavior as VP, even if it involved another country - and if they found anything it could actually be used to prosecute Bide.  He also could have gone through the Department of State.

Instead he asked the president of Ukraine to do him a favor.  I mean, wtf?

Even if Ukraine comes back and says "oh yeah, Biden broke our laws, he's guilty!" It literally would mean nothing over here criminally.  The only thing it would do was give Trump ammo to attack Biden on the campaign trail.

Am I making sense?

Here's an idea:  How about if the political parties put forward candidates who are not criminals?  Someone should try that someday.

Nixon, Carter, Raegan, Bush, Bush, Obama, most of the GOP candidates from 2016 and all the Dem candidates besides Biden, Beto and Warren (I'll throw her in so we don't have to debate the pocohantas thing.)

I'm not aware of any evidence, or even semi-reasonable accusations that any of these people were criminals when they were running for president.

(Exceptions being marijuana use, Bernie getting arrested for protesting and Nixons campaign for second term)

I bolded a good idea almost seeing what is happening.

Dems vs Repubs.  Is the exact same as the WWF.   Trump is a combo of Vince McMan and the Undertaker and the Dems are putting up meatball canonfodder “good guys”

Ie Trump is winning the election after he is impeached and not removed when the senate backs him.

His campaign will be Obama Biden Biden did quid quo pro with Ukraine and the only way to prove their “crimes” was for him to muscle the Ukraine into telling the truth.

It is all laid out on tv for us to view. Btw White House spoke about foreign influence and elections today.

Saying there will always be that condition.  They are right fox tv was own by an australian and nbc was owned by a  French company for a while.

Sadly it is just another WWF show with the bad guy beating on some meatballs.

All this will setup Pete booty-check for prez in 2020.
15765  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 252 blocks solved! on: October 18, 2019, 12:59:42 AM
Basically  when we did big team rentals we had 5btc and blocks were 25 coins

we tried to get close to correct $ per th rental   and if you are close enough to that  5 btc is

5/25 or a 1 in 5 shot at a block.  10 of us would put in .5 coins   we once hit 2 blocks in 90 minutes and turned 5 coins into 50.  but that was a long time ago.

if you  get a rental at 0.0000189 a th  you are close to the correct rate.

so 0.189 btc  which is more then 1500 usd  gives you about .189/12.5 shot to hit it.  that  is about 1/66 shot  if you spend that much.

It is why this pool struggles most of us do not want to drop  1500usd on a 66 to 1 shot

I am swinging  away here with a 2 board s9 see below:

I'm not a troll. I updated the post.

Guys, can we stop feeding the troll? OP creates a post accusing to lose 5 BTCs without any proof whatsoever and all of the peeps want him to post the "proofs"? Think about it If you would have lost as much as 0.1 BTC wouldn't you have posted all the "proofs" in the thread to give proper context and back your story up? smdh...

I am in your corner bro.  Still mining away.
15769  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon t3 50 arrived. on: October 16, 2019, 06:22:23 PM
Yep cause the units need to be run at lower then preformance if you run them long term.

Mine runs at factory +  and I use a voltage regulator that keep power at 227-233 volts.

If you have 208 3 phase and run this psu a long time many  units struggle to do factory speed and will need to do balance +

many big hosts  are 208 3 phase  and can run around 205 volts  this psu will not keep up on preformance setting.

I found a decent 230 volt regulator  that  is rated for 20amps  So far it has been very good. I have four of them:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-SmartPower-Systems-Automatic-Voltage-Regulator-AVR20-230TBF-Plus/372797321665

I  got two at 200 and two at 150

I got one from the seller above. His works well.  as did the others for the other sellers.

My thoughts are this could be helpful if you are running

s17
t17

t3 50
t3 39

on 208 volt 3 phase circuits.  But I think no hoster will want to be bothered with them.
15770  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A1041 Review on: October 16, 2019, 12:55:55 PM
I think they toss the gear around offloading the plane.

Steve replied to an email and said he would forward this to the rma department.

Maybe I will get a replacement unit. I will post back on it.

Planning to bring unit to Clifton hopefully on thurs  will test to see exactly what broke.

Psu or hash boards or both.  Once I determine what is broken I will follow up here and with avalon to see what replacement parts are needed.

Best case is psu is dead hashboard are good.

Second best is psu works hashboards are dead.

Worst case is both psu and hashboard is dead.

Well some info has been provided. So I am still mining ⛏

If coins were 500 when op was scammed  it would be around 5 x 500 = 2500

So i will mine on till sat the 19th.

And maybe the op gets lucky.
15774  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon t3 50 arrived. on: October 16, 2019, 05:14:20 AM
I just wanted to update that that Innosilicon did send my miners, they arrived today and I will be installing them next week.

Good news so about a 25-30 day delay.

And you had to upgrade from 43th at 100 or 125 a miner ?

My single t3 50 does well on factory+ but it does suck a lot of power say 3350 watts.

Pretty annoyed with innosilicon myself and I know you are more annoyed.

So let’s tally

The bad:
Inno late for many
Pulls extra watts
Many had to pay for forced upgrades from 43th to 50th.

The good :

It can do 50.50 t at factory plus
So far It works
15775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I have $214 in points must spend them at best buy or lose them. on: October 15, 2019, 07:37:58 PM

15776  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Canaan Announces 11 Series on: October 15, 2019, 06:59:41 PM
To clarify sidehack

The issue is c19/c20 cable and socket rates 16amp 24/7/365

So:

16 amp x 208 = 3328 watts
16 amp x 220 = 3520 watts
16 amp x 230 = 3680 watts
16 amp x 240 = 3840 watts

this cable is well made and is one of your better choices to run the gear.

https://www.amazon.com/NEMA-L6-30P-C19-Power-Cord/dp/B004WOE85S

I have 3 units pulling 3300 to 3500 watts using those cables they are whatsminer and they  downclock when my volts drop too low.  my guess is this will be an issue sooner or later.

It simply would have been a lot easier to have these units use 2800 watts or even 2600 watts.

you can shut the gear off and pull the white info wire out along with the pci wires to the board on the left.

boot

wait for it to fire up and see if you guessed correctly  should take under 15 minutes to show the gui hashing.

if you guess correctly you are done if wrong shut it off. plug the white info wire back along with the pcie power wires.

try the board on the right  should take under 15 minutes to show the gui hashing.
