15781  Economy / Services / Re: Which ICO Management Software Do You Recommend? on: April 24, 2018, 08:25:04 PM
This is a good question, thanks for asking.

Our service has no access to your funds. The whole process looks like this.
A user wants to buy your tokens with cryptos or fiat. Our service finds the platform (Simplex, Bittrex, Changelly, etc.) with the best exchange rate to switch the money into the currency you select to gather funds (usually it's ETH).
The converted money is transferred from an exchange platform to your ICO wallet directly.
Thus the money passes the following instances: user's wallet - exchange platform - your ICO wallet. So even if BestRate gets hacked it will not affect your funds.

Moreover, you get all KYC covered as you get money from an exchange platform and not from the user directly.

Thank you for clarifying, interesting concept. What would you say are advantages of Bestrate over ico2go or startico.net?

The widget mentioned on the website, is it specific to Wordpress or HTML code that is copied and pasted in to the customer website?

Hello guys, how do you feel about CashBet project? Remains 3 days before the end of ICO - is it worth investing money in this?

No. Too much hype usually means bad investment.
15783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Dev Needed To Generate ETH Addresses & Populate Database on: April 24, 2018, 03:19:00 PM
Price Negotiable:

I need some help please. I paid a dev to make a script for me that is bascially not working properly. I would say it is 95% functioning. We are not on talking terms so there is no chance he will fix the script and I no longer trust him. There is much more to this story but will not bore you with the details as he will no doubt dispute it.

I wanted a script that would generate ETH and XRP addresses to populate the database and then get updated with transaction details when payments are received. Unfortunately without fully testing it by making ETH testnet transactions to ensure the database gets updated, I paid him. I then asked him to make the same structure for Ripple too but he could not get it to compile properly. I ended up with a compiled file which does exactly what the Ethereum one does. It generates addresses and keys but does not get the database updated when transactions are made.

I really need to test using ETH testnet and Ripple testnet before using small amounts of real ETH and XRP to ensure it works properly. The ETH addresses are generated, the api is set to testnet, the database tables are created and everything is fine except when payments are received transaction details are not being sent to the database.

If you can help out, please post here first before PMs so others can see and warn me off if they deem you to be a scammer. No offence intended but we will negotiate a fee after I know you will not waste my time or try to scam me.

15784  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Trouble using electrum sending to coinpayments on: April 24, 2018, 01:42:37 PM
No, NOT hackers... you've simply sent FROM Kraken to an address in your Electrum wallet... What you need to do now is actually send the coins FROM Electrum TO coinpayments.net.

I'm not sure why you thought you needed Electrum to send from Kraken to coinpayments.net? Huh

The OP has not been back here for a couple of days, maybe he realised his error and rectified it but would have been nice oif he posted here to let us know how he got along
15785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Previous 7 Days: Bitcoin +14.62% Bitcoin Cash +98.16% on: April 24, 2018, 10:31:06 AM
Current price:

Bitcoin: $9,271.27

Bitcoin Cash: $1,533.55

Effectively anybody who invested in Bitcoin Cash around a week ago would have doubled their investment but they would have had a ROI of 14% for Bitcoin.

Now there is a big surprise. I always link Bitcoin Cash with whales and crypto-exchanges that wanted to destroy Bitcoin so have no interest in buying Bitcoin Cash as I do not agree with the way it was created and I do not agree with the whales behind it but right now the question is what is pushing people towards investing in BCH?
15786  Economy / Services / Re: Which ICO Management Software Do You Recommend? on: April 24, 2018, 09:16:14 AM
There are real people standing behind the project. You can find their Linkedin profiles at bestrate.org/team.
The projects that already use our tool are also real, you can find them in the "Our clients" section by the link I sent in the previous message.
The company is registered at Mahé, Seychelles.

Thank you for clarifying.

So if the funds raised from an ICO get hacked/stolen how does the project get refunded? In various countries around the world there would be ways of getting some form of compensation or hold the ICO management team to account.

Ripples XRP low price is always going to be a major factor and advantage over those near to its market capital.
15788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EXCHANGE] Bitmora - Digital Asset Exchange [LAUNCHING MAY 12 2018] on: April 23, 2018, 03:54:03 PM
Our weekly review is now published on our Medium Blog!
https://medium.com/bitmora/bitmora-weekly-review-april-23rd-2018-2aa879115f5a

Thank you for the link and update.

I read it and am not surprised that Bitmora will not be authorised and registered with the SEC at the time of launch. Apart from Coinbase (which has hundreds of million of US$ invested by bluechip companies) which should sail through SEC accreditation, others will struggle. One of the things that is in Bitmora's favour is that it is based and registered as LLC in the US. The biggest problem that makes SEC regulation difficult is that whereas Coinbase has a trading history and has many millions in reserves to cover various losses and provide confidence to regulators, Bitmora unfortunately only has the funding raised from its investment-for-launching-a-new-business format and zero trading history and the amount raised was not a massive amount.

FIAT trading will also not be as straight forward as many hope simply because of the red-tape involved but the things that I gathered from your review is that the business still hopes to go live on time but with 10 coins and with FIAT deposit/withdrawals but if not they will be added shortly added after launch and in the future you hope to become registered with the SEC.

The setbacks you listed do not surprise me because I had and still have lots of reservations about the viability of your whole project based on what I know of it (this forum and whitepaper) but wish it all goes well. You put a lot of time and effort in to Bitmora so definitely respect you and wish the best. I hope you have a successful launch as it would be good for crypto enthusiasts to have more choice. Thank you for the review link.
15789  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Dontworry2much.com recovered my bitcoins after forgetting password on: April 23, 2018, 02:26:51 PM
Hi,

I'd forgotten the password and lost the key to my electrum wallet however I had a good idea of what the password was and dontworry2much.com helped unlock the wallet in less than 2 hours! Recovered more than 500 euros. Payed less than a hundred a year or so ago so delighted.

Just wanted to leave a review incase anyone else has the same issue as me.

Cheers

Jerry

Not sure if this review is true or not. Sounds and looks suspicious because no mention of when the 100EUR was paid, in advance? So effectively they can keep the 100EUR and not help?

15790  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Trouble using electrum sending to coinpayments on: April 23, 2018, 10:53:35 AM
OP, can you confirm you are using the up-to-date version of electrum (3.1.3)?
Older versions do not sync properly (and therefore don't allow to send transactions properly).

What does your electrum balance show? Does it show the reduced amount (after sending tx) or does it show the 'whole' amount ?

I am using 3.0.6 and have not upgraded to 3.1.3. My testnet is fine for sending and receiving with no sync issues at all so am presuming the OP has other issues

Did you get any response from the SEC?

Hi!

Tomorrow (Monday) morning our Weekly Review will be posted and an SEC update will be given in that.

Thanks, looking forward to reading it. I have no doubt Coinbase will sail through the SEC requirements and Poloniex will not be far behind. As Bitmora, it has not officially launched yet so will be interesting to see where this goes.
15792  Economy / Services / Re: Which ICO Management Software Do You Recommend? on: April 23, 2018, 09:29:00 AM
Try BestRate ICO Payment tool. This is a service designed specifically to facilitate payments for ICO investors.

- Accept fiat and 80+ cryptocurrencies
- No additional fees
- All KYC risks are covered

bestrate.org/ico-payment-tools/

Thank you for the information but there is no real detail about whois the people behind the project are. Bestrate Ltd (as shown on their Twitter page) does not exist when a company search was made. There is no information about the people or company behind "Bestrate" and as mentioned "Bestrate Ltd" does not exist. For me, this has scam written all over it. Even if the previous token sales it claims are genuine it is normal for scams to trade in a way close to as properly as possible before scamming when the prize gets bigger.

Thanks for putting them forward, they might be genuine but I think they are fraudsters and I am not going anywhere near them

Thank you for the link but how is that secure? What experiences have you of the person that made that website?

15795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin First Billionaire: Winklevoss Twins on: April 22, 2018, 01:27:31 PM
I think many people own Bitcoin more than 100,000Bitcoin, but they are probably making a profit by controlling this market silently. Many Crypto billionaires do not reveal their identities because they know that this can be dangerous to them and that they can become the target of criminal crime.

Anonymity is essential to many big and small players for a variety of reason. Becoming victims of crime, hacking, abductions or stings is probably top of the list but there could be many reasons why people do not announce their holdings. If I were a whale I would keep it quiet and not announce it to the world.
15796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EXCHANGE] Bitmora - Digital Asset Exchange [LAUNCHING MAY 12 2018] on: April 22, 2018, 01:24:51 PM
These sound like awesome features to me.

I've had so many issues with Kraken and Binance, I nearly didn't get into crypto at all. They just had flat out broken sign up processes, both! There was absolutely no way to contact them either, I tried! To have even simple support ticket systems would be a huge upgrade and a great way to get a reputation as the most reliable exchange around.

Given all that Bitmora says it will provide you have to balance that offering out with the fact it will be a new exchnage with no track record. Only time will tell about Bitmora and its success but I do wish the team have a good launch and their business will be accepted by crypto holders.
15797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Avoid ICO Scams Such As CrazyBet on: April 22, 2018, 01:27:11 AM
The crazybet bet in my country is not totally known, and it is good for you to share this question so that people would also know about crazybet, and all of us can only avoid scammers if we used only the good trusted one, which have a long of business operations without any complaints from people or has already a good trust records of business operations connected to cryptocurrency business.

The problem is the ones intending to scam tend to use fake social media to show they are "real" but there is no way of knowing for sure they are real or fake. It is very risky investing by looking at whitepapers. Here is the CrazyBet whitepaper link: https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/417ff5_88722d70a6434ad39281d92bb79e0dca.pdf

It has fake About Us/Team and token distrubtion etc. Many people were duped by this so what in your opinion is the best way to try and avoid scams? They ran off with over $2.5 million in Ether all because they ticked most of the boxes investors are looking for but they fooled investors.

https://icobench.com/ico/crazybet

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@danipay/crazybet-ico-crowdsale

https://twitter.com/CrazyBETio

They raised over $2.5 million but the WHOLE project from start to finish was a scam. They stole images of people from online and created fake social media profiles for them and then used them in the "About Us" and "Team" pages. There was no real business or project, they duped a lot of people.

When scammers set out with a whole program of lies and deceit including using bonafide ICO and crypto promotion sites to fool investors to steal their money, it is difficult to avoid being fooled. What advice would you give to investors to protect themselves?
15799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Largest Ever ICO? on: April 21, 2018, 09:31:56 PM
it is begining to be clear now that you only know the true collor of Ico when the crowdsales has ended

True. Only after the crowdsale ends can things be clear but if the team running the ICO gives step by step information on milestones and cash figures, targets reached etc then it gives investors a lot of hope and confidence.
15800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Largest Ever ICO? on: April 21, 2018, 08:35:09 PM
The last time envion gathered the most, and after the end of the ico, the team did absolutely nothing, the conclusion is that the large fees are not a good project in the future.

All ICOs and the way they were run has to be a good learning process for others wishing to launch ICOs and also for investors. The blueprint should be invest as little as possible but to make the ICO successful and to gain some profit some time down the line.
