15781  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The halving is coming. What's your next move? on: March 31, 2016, 12:07:02 AM
I sold some but want to get rid of all my inventory of ASIC miners. Concentrating on ETH right now and might get back into BTC mining in 3-6 months.

Everything is good but you can't buy a R9 280X brand new anymore. Get the R7 370 if you pay alot for electricity and if you don't then get the R9 380.

R9 Nano is the most efficienct with electricity but its like EUR 600 and not much faster.

R9 280X uses about ~200 WATTS per card averaged out with the rest of the computer so if you pay 0.25EUR/KWH then it will cost 1.2EUR per day per card to run.

I got a Sapphire R9 280X PCB that blew a bunch of MOSFETs for parts.

15786  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: March 30, 2016, 10:12:35 PM
I have to admit that I sold one coupon for 0.01 BTC. Since then I've rethought things and I'm going to sit on my remaining coupons, effectively burning them.

I'm no fan of Bitmain after what I went through with half of my batch 1 order being delayed. Between that and the parade of empty blocks from AntPool they do not deserve my loyalty.

Rather than trying to profit from this, I'm more interested in reducing the appeal of batch 15. Therefore I'm playing my admittedly tiny role in decreasing the appeal of this batch and possibly reducing the rate of difficulty increase.

So go ahead and ask me to sell or give you a coupon. The answer is no.

I like this thinking.  I'm going to burn mine too.

The sad thing is doing this will not really work since miners are not say a union.  They put out SO many coupons right now it would take a lot off people to burn them to make a difference.   I don't see this having an effect on coupons on large scale.

And the sad thing is even if you did make a difference and get a lot to burn coupons, this just would make ones selling worth more.  So you really can't win if your trying to stop miners being made just to many coupons out there and to many sellers.

lets see their btc sales of gear

Since each miner is 1.3BTC, looks like its sells less than 100 S7 sales a day.
15787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice vs Slots on: March 30, 2016, 06:44:34 AM
Generally Dice is only to be played online because it has the lowest house edge. Slots have a huge house edge, and in casinos they are even larger.

Most gamblers don't know this but you are better off playing Roulette then Slots.
15788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: March 30, 2016, 06:43:49 AM
Why because we had lost too much money here so we need to get that money back so we keep on playing untill we get our money back but it's not possible.
it is called revenge, greedy definitely do something like this, but if a wise man certainly would not have done such thing as gambling.

Yes completely true. Its actually this revenge betting where casinos make most of their large fortunes.
15789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the most profitable type of gambling? on: March 30, 2016, 06:43:10 AM
Dice might be the easiest and lowest house edge of mining if you rely on luck.

But Sports betting or binary options betting might be of higher probabiltity for some who have some insight knowledge, but not for everybody.
15790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling any one got cheated by house? on: March 30, 2016, 06:41:54 AM
Many claim that the dice operator cheats because many find it suspisious to lose 20x times in a row especially when they keep adding to their bets but it has never been officially proven, so its false for now.
15791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 30, 2016, 06:40:23 AM
I would consider un-researched coin purchases and trading strictly on faith gambling...

However, If a trader is on top of breaking news and knows about what he is trading and how it is trending I consider it skilled investing not gambling.

This is false. Trading news for retail clients is next to impossible or very hard to profit off for many reasons.

#1 reason is that there is a second or two delay before you get the numbers before the major firms get the numbers.

#2 reason is that there is huge slippage and illiquidity and im possible to get a good position when the numbers come out.

You can very easily fix both the PSU and Miner yourself.

Parts shouldn't cost any more than $10 to put new pins on the PSU with a new plug and for a new Molex ATX PCIe plug for the miner.

15793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Made 143$ in 3 days + 61$ in day 4 in sports betting on: March 29, 2016, 12:32:47 AM
Yes that is pretty impressive. You most likely have a decade of experience in those teams because for myself Sports betting seems impossible.
15794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy in Roulette ? on: March 29, 2016, 12:31:21 AM
There are many types of Roulette strategy available, and each one has its differences from the others, or lucky numbers...

i know really easy strategy that sometimes works and sometimes not, but it is really easy, it's to bet on small amounts each time on color, not number because low chances to win, if you'll bet on color it will be 50/50 chance to win

while betting on color, chance isnot 50/50 because of ZERO. Zero is  messing  everything. also, if program  guess that you are playing with pyramid system in color, it will make you loose anyway. i have seen 16-17 times same color and then zero and again same colors
that another trick of roulette is follow the pattern sometimes work and give you big profit. when you lucky seen more than 10+ same color just follow the pattern

If you see the same color about 10 times in a row it means to bet on the opposite color. Pretty much the same as betting on dice the other way when you have a huge losing streak.
15795  Economy / Gambling / Re: ☆★Primedice Betting | Guides | And More!!★☆ on: March 29, 2016, 12:30:11 AM
Yes I read in the other thread that this is true. No idea why they wouldn't just ban everything from a US gambler but right now its where it stands.
I believe they ban locations where upper classmen might be living and since they have a big bankroll its a lot easier to win big amounts to us but small amounts to them eg. 10-50 btc

No! That has no affect, It is avaliable in the UK. We have more upper class people than America (I think).

It shouldn't be blocked in America. I know it cannot really be blocked in the UK unless they go to the EU court to get it approved.
Well its already blocked in londen I think

I'm not sure. I don't think it would be, I think that London has some of the poorest living condition in the UK and the greatest percentages of poverty.

I can still access it in Manchester.
'

Is London really that bad. They seem to have a very rich economy. Sure there are some poor places but even in the USA there are some bad cities with poverty.
15796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling or offline gambling at a casino ? on: March 29, 2016, 12:29:07 AM
I am pretty sure cheaters in offline casinos is very rare. They have cameras everywhere and they keep track of known cheaters and security knows who to look for. So its possible to get cheated by another player in cards but its very very rare.

15800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: March 27, 2016, 08:19:08 AM
Just lookup pools they all give you links to download a miner...  Roll Eyes

WOW hash hit a all time high today at 1700 GH today, I hope the price starts to slip upwards more to make up for this difficulty.  The reality is we know tons of people are putting rigs online, heh I wish ether was slightly less mainstream.

I'm glad it is - it keeps the people not paying attention mining Eth - meaning they're off everything else.

Is there anything else to mine really that has the same profits? There was PEPE last week which is more profitable then ETH but only for like 24 hours.

Oh, of course - and I'm not that interested in PEPE, either.

Would you mind giving a hint or sharing?

I looked at many different coins and algos and ETH is about 50% more profitable then all of them. Maybe with your private kernels you can make more than most.
