Big holders out of the game?

Developers too busy with other projects?

IXCoin EGC

The characteristic of iXcoin is that there are no big holders.... just thousands of little holders.

1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: March 04, 2014, 01:30:19 PM
Someone just gave me a tip of 83 IXC.... thanks!  Needed some gas money.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 12:09:32 PM
little sad that my 2nd buy was at 00003500 due to btc deposit delay

prices are going up crazy.. its now at 00004000

I guess it really will go to .003 fucking hell its not even on a real exchange yet.  Shocked

Were you lucky enough to buy at/below 00003000 ?

Price just went bonkers!

Yes man, I had 0.54 btc in Cryptorush when I made my first lucky buy 0.00001850. By the time my 1.4 btc reached Cryptorush from Coinbase account, the price went so high. I was in a dilemma whether to buy at 0.00003500, but bought it.

Surprisingly, you doubled your money already!
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 12:03:42 PM
another exchange http://491.ecoinfund.com,we can vote for our coin

Please keep this quality coin away from trash exchanges.

Cryptsy or mintpal only plz.

Yeah they made the mistake already  look at where it is listed ... cryptorush.. the weirdest platform out there..

On another note, this really is an exciting coin...

If you already own,  probably best to wait for a bigger exchange to take this coin.

Cryptsy will likely take it within the next 2 or 3 days.

You can't day trade this at cryptorush.in,  its just has too much lag.

1585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 11:30:09 AM
CryptoRush.in in real bad shape....

However....  MZC has bid at .0001 ... impressive run in the last 8 hours.

1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 04:09:50 AM
Is mazacoin going to be on an exchange soon? Hopefully Cryptsy

If it gets into Cryptsy... it'll go up at least 100%.
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 03:13:50 AM
Managed to buy 30000 at around .00001300 about ten hours ago. Then another 30000 at around .00002000. Any ideas exactly how high this thing can go once it gets on a more reputable exchange?

Let's hope this goes AuroraCoin like ballistic!

Actually, realistically,  AuroraCoin only has like 100,000 coins mined.  So it is very easy for the devs to manipulate the price.   That's actually what happened,  so even at $71, it takes only $71,000 to keep the price where it is at.

MZC is different in that there are more coins out there.   However,  watch it closely, but don't get too greedy!

It looks like there is a bit of a spring starting to build up - the BTC's are starting to flow in...

Cool  Shocked

The only thing holding down this coin is the crappy exchange where it is traded.

I tweeted @mintpalexchange to get this coin onboard quick.

Looks like MZC/BTC pair is under maintenance....  last price was .000025  BTC  ... not bad since yesterday it was like .000005 ... up 5 times.

1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 04, 2014, 01:15:40 AM
Why don't people wait until after the massive sell-off to buy into this?  I think it's a great idea, it's just absolute retarded madness to be buying in prior to the airdrop.

At the current price, every single citizen of Iceland will be given $1758 worth of Auroracoin for free during the airdrop.

There will be a massive crash in price as many Icelanders make the rational decision to immediately cash out their $1758.

Interesting.... that's a lot of free money.
1592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 01:05:44 AM

Yes, that means this is the only LEGAL crypto-currency in the entire U.S.
1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 01:04:25 AM
What's the population of Lakota Nation?
How do they expect to get this coin into circulation? Aren't most natives poverty stricken, addiction bound, and uneducated?

What am I missing here?

Everyone knows the indians like handouts. This will go over great with them.  Grin

Another clueless remark.

Sovereign Indian Nation -  Here is the wikipedia entry:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribal_sovereignty_in_the_United_States

Tribal sovereignty in the United States is the inherent authority of indigenous tribes to govern themselves within the borders of the United States of America.

That is why Indian nations can run Casinos in the U.S..  In general only State governments can run gambling in the U.S.

It doesn't matter that there are just 10 people in the entire reservation!

What matters is that it is recognized as the official currency of the Lakato Nation.  This is a sovereign nation.

Do you understand what that means?

It means it is "Legal Tender".   You can't ban currency of another nation.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND???

1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 04, 2014, 12:56:08 AM
So you're telling me all I need to do to make a ton of money is:

  • Create a clone coin.
  • Set it to low reward/high difficulty.
  • Premine the majority of it and keep those coins out of circulation (and make up a good reason for premining so many to avoid negativity).
  • Get the coin onto an exchange/CoinMarketCap.
  • Let people gawk over the value (due to the fact there are so many coins in existence but not in circulation, therefor locking in that higher price due to the inability for the public to dump it).
  • Coin price will skyrocket due to the stable high price and huge market cap (due to all the premined coins).

Who knew it was so easy? I'd be willing to bet we'll see a few more coins do this before people catch on. Maybe I should get into coin development...

In 2008 Iceland experienced the following:
-All 3 national banks failed
-Their currency halved in value

I think that people are hoping that Auroracoin will be the first case of a country with currency problems adopting a cryto-currency over its fiat currency.

If it works it will pave the way for other countries with currency problems to do the same thing.

Auroracoin may do for a country what Bitcoin did for the world and I think people just want to be part of it.

If you want a coin that has serious potential...  MazaCoin...   Official coin of a sovereign Indian nation.

Think about it,  in the U.S. , Indian reservations have their own sovereignty like other nations.  In short,  this a coin that is official!

It's not some wanna be gimmick like Auroracoin... anybody can make the claim... let's airdrop to X country.

hesitant to get in @ 0.00001818

You can always get in when it hits cryptsy.  Of course, it could be up 1,000% by then.

alright guys.. bought ~30K @ 0.00001850

thanks OP for the tip.

.54 BTC?!  Man... you'll regret how little you just bought.

most of my btc are struck with other alts unfortunately. heh

Other alts that really have no future.  Most alts are gimmicks... nothing really holding them up.

This one is the first coins of a sovereign nation.  You can't ban this stuff.   China can't ban this stuff!
1597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 12:50:20 AM
If/when this coin goes up a ton, I feel we should create a means to donate to the Lakota people.  They only premined 50 million coins which is way too little in my opinion.  I'd like to see them do MUCH better.

That's why I am trying to convince them that they should cut the mining only up to 125 million coins and then go down to 50 coins per block.  That way they get around 40% of all coins.

I think the original developer was a complete idiot in designing the subsidy.
Are you in contact with them?

I think the numbers you put forth would be a bit too drastic as that would result in an instamine for the early adopters.  But I would like something worked out where the Lakota get much more.

I think you need to take a look at the block-explorer.

After the 50 million coins that were mined, the difficulty shot through the roof.

In fact the difficulty now is completely ridiculous!    You barely get enough coins with a 1 THs miner... which honestly is crazy for a coin less than a month old.

1599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MazaCoin Receiving A LOT OF PRESS from MAINSTREAM MEDIA on: March 04, 2014, 12:46:59 AM
No national ids. Airdrop won't work.

What does national ids have to do with MazaCoin?
Airdrop type coins - AUR and Maza both need national ids to prevent fraud of multiple claims.

It's not an Airdrop type coin. Read your stuff before you comment.

Then how do the native people benefit from it?

Dude,  how do the folks in a reservation benefit from gambling casinos in a reservation?

Duh!!!!

I stand by what I said. There is no way for Maza to be widely distributed.

The MazaCoin is a project endorsed by the Tribal council.

With Auroracoin, its just a bunch of folks going to 'airdrop' free coins to citizens.

There is a big difference between something that is official business and one that is a complete gimmick.
