Does no one have a problem with the miners phoning home?

[...]

Concerning, very. Would this allow them control of device as well? 10min "downtime" to mine for themselves?
1582  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: GMO B3 33th/s Asic on: July 02, 2018, 03:18:13 PM
GMO's btc miners are disappointing. The 1950w box barely has +20% efficiency to the S9, and this has even worse efficiency than the S9.
The fans must eat 200w, trying to cool 3400w in that box.

Overclocked b2 with higher CFM fans?

Hi guys,

does anyone still experience any issues with their Innosilicon a9? Any feedback is appreciated.

Happy mining!

Is "slush official" a legit account?

Yea, saw this a couple days ago. I had a tear till I saw the diff drop then a little smile.
1585  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: GMO B3 33th/s Asic on: July 02, 2018, 02:35:12 PM
so I could mine for 110days at the same power rate of 100 watts a th.

Agreed, the efficiency is terrible. Also this would practically take up all of my 240/30A line with one miner. If arrived today is just $24 in profits at my power rate and 3k days to ROI at the price mfb would set. Not sure if this worth listing. If I was able to run this and one s9 I'd still be short at least $10/mo in profits compared to whats running.

I suppose the only silver lining is if this arrived just in time for a large bull swing Q4, where efficiencies are still a factor but less of an issue. Not sure if we'll list this one or not, we've been hoping for new tech to be more efficient than this.

PS. I really would be scared this would flame in my garage.

Thoughts? This thing looks like it will would eventually become a flame thrower in my garage set up. 3.4kw.  .. .

Even better, they've deleted my follow-up post explaining that I personally edited their post but haven't been able to further edit their opening post making it look like they personally wrote the post that way.

I just woke up and saw "New Scam miners" a highlight already. Looks like they cleaned house there.

A good start to Canada Day!

Happy holiday!

I was drunk "af" when I made the post on their thread. Maybe an excuse, but maybe not. It is the weekend but most users here seem pretty active.

I'm told all our conversations have been cordial with who ever is on the other end of this  but have been asked to not visit their site till dust settles.

Soo very intrigued on how this plays.

Ok, I was beginning to lose my mind but figured it was probably permissions. Thank you.

Hi, trying to link our website to the sig but having issue. entering: "[ url=http://www.minefarmbuy.com]www.minefarmbuy.com" and "[ url]www.minefarmbuy.com", With out quotes and spaces in brackets both yield the result you see on this post. Wondering what I'm missing. Appreciate the help, thank you.

Awwe, snap. I missed the block party .. ..

@philo I was going to bet you we'd double up in 24 hrs. I would have been close but still lost. Wink

May want to add some capital letters to the thread title here so people see it.

Kind of how I got drawn into it, was from their initial posts to. Some were just a little skeptical at first and seemed routine now it's pretty clear legendary accounts likely compromised.

Not that this is funny at all but I would have loved to have read sidehacks post.
1594  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: T2 Group on: July 01, 2018, 06:14:42 AM
$1368 seems a little high, you paid with coin? I imagine you got shipping confirm by now?

They had requested more information about mfb about 3am PST. Seems they accessed our site from inside the UK which is a bit suspicious since the company is supposed to be located in Sweden or the Netherlands (?). I think we all agree anyone sending BTC to them is more than likely  a bad idea.

Seems going to the local farm league baseball game is a block finder. Will be opening the wine tomorrow. Thanks everyone!

Why is Philo trolling? Pretty sure if you're decentralizing you wouldn't have hash in just one pool. Also, it would make sense to utilize multiple reward methods to maximize profits with a large farm. But hey, what do I know I'm just a scrub who tweets for a living. #mineon

Thank you Bitmaxz, I'll check out the other options but things are fine so I imagine I'll just let these has as they are. Thanks again for the info and advice.
1598  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 250 blocks solved! on: June 29, 2018, 09:19:30 PM
Well they gave me one of the 2pac's they ordered, for some reason I though set up was harder than it is. Have 16gh of solo mining from my surface. Thank you for this pool too -ck. We'll see about those s7's at some point.
1599  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 250 blocks solved! on: June 29, 2018, 03:45:02 PM
"So you're saying theres a chance?"

Ha, love the reference!

My power currently runs $0.125 / kWh, and fully hashing (down to two hash boards in that guy now) my s7 was eating 1300W. That works out to about $1,424 / y.

Were you to catch a block, you'd be looking at $76,400 (99% of 12.5btc at current exchange rate), for a vegas-style return of 54:1 on your electric investment.

So you're looking at maybe, 54:1 payout on those 147:1 odds. Not a bet I'd recommended, but if the exchange rate changes drastically that greatly affects the equation.

But, as some would say, "luck is luck", so if you get lucky...

Thanks jsays, I have two s7's and another one with two faulty boards, so we'll see. Our tech support lead is receiving 2pac's at some point and those will be mine in a few weeks to a couple months maybe. Probably wait on the s7's and will definitely solo mine the sticks. The only issue for me personally mining with the s7 is the lack of revenue to power them as the cost will be monthly but at least with sole proprietorship now the cost is a business cost. Im glad mfb didn't see it as a conflict of interest. otherwise my power would be too expensive to run anything at market currently.
1600  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 - Actual CFM at full fan RPM on: June 29, 2018, 02:27:42 PM
I mine at home, tried all kinds of fans. It's really a waste of time, resources and downtime of your unit to install and test. The only thing close was the ultra kraze fan which still barely moved enough air for an s7.

Tried the Notcrula's or what ever their brand name is for these machines its junk, for your PC their awesome. If you can down clock your unit significantly you can use these fans but even at full speed they wont move much air through the heat sinks of an asic. Tenting is not a good idea with s9 but maybe for gpu farm.

I would down clock and drop fan speed to reduce db's. There should be write ups on how to do both for auto tune s9's. Good luck.
