1581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What trading sites does everyone use? Is Camp BX okay? on: January 10, 2012, 04:59:29 AM
Definitely do NOT use Tradehill.  The have tied up my money from December 29th to today with not a peep of info.  They never return emails, even though Jered asked me publicly on this forum to write to him.  Then again, he also made it a point to tell me that he gets hundreds of emails every day.  So maybe he is just too busy.

Tradehill is a JOKE.
1582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tradehill - Get your stuff right. on: January 10, 2012, 04:54:51 AM
I think that is the problem with Tradehill- lack of consistency.  For some people this is just "bitcoin money" like spare change.  But as a business owner I have to look at it this way.  All of the income from my business from the 29th of December to today is being held by them and they still will not answer my emails.  This is money that I would use to pay suppliers and buy more inventory.

1584  Economy / Auctions / Re: 7 days ***Extremely rare and valuable*** fine ruby on: January 10, 2012, 03:39:09 AM
I have access to a very wide range of rubies from the pinnacle of greatness like this pigeon's blood 1.64 carat pear down to more modest stones that are beautiful but very reasonably priced.  A great example of this would be unheated and heated African ruby.  You can buy a very beautiful ruby of over one carat for as little as $1,000.  Glass-filled ruby is not as rare or durable as "normal" ruby but if you need a stone for earrings or a pendant it is beautiful and very affordable.  One-carat stones can cost as little as $150, even in fairly high quality.

Ruby is one of the most enticing gemstones and it represents love and passion.  Traditionally it has been the most expensive colored gemstone and that trend continues today.  The finest Burmese ruby can bring as much as $400,000 per carat.  I've been in this business here in Asia for eight years and to me, there is nothing as beautiful as a high-quality ruby- whether glass-filled, heated, or totally treatment-free.  There is a ruby for everyone no matter your budget.

If you have any questions about this stone or about ruby in general please get in touch with me.  I would be more than happy to answer your questions and help you in any way that I can!  dave@titopgem.com

Still waiting for Jered to answer my e-mail.

I have check withdrawals going back to the 29th of December and until I came here I had no idea that they were not being processed.  So I guess I am not surprised at the lack of communication from Jered.  That has been the rule at Tradehell.

Yankee that is all good and well, but is that how you would expect your clients to get their information?  An e-mail would have been nice considering the gravity of the situation.  A notice upon signup would have been a good reinforcement- just in case.  But posting the information on a public forum and just expecting everyone with a check withdrawal in progress to go there seems very amateurish.
1592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tradehill or tradehell? on: January 09, 2012, 09:20:43 PM
e-mail sent.
1593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tradehill - Get your stuff right. on: January 09, 2012, 08:21:45 PM
"TradeHill made an announcement last week that their accounts were frozen and working to get new and backups set up."

How would the average guy like me know this?  I was not given this information via e-mail.  I didn't see a notice when I logged into Tradehill.  I emailed to ask about it and my emails were never returned- and still have not been.
1594  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tradehill or tradehell? on: January 09, 2012, 08:17:18 PM
Are you asking us to do this because you are too busy to answer the e-mails that have been coming in through support?  Honestly Jered you must be joking.  Your company is not answering my requests so you tell me to send an email to you directly?

Why would I have to find out from this thread that you are no longer doing check withdrawals?  Did it ever occur to you to send out a mass email to everyone who has a check withdrawal in progress?

C'mon Jered.  None of this makes any sense.  We are not this naive.  Come clean, or at least do the BARE minimum to try to salvage your company's reputation.  At least answer your support e-mails.

Please, after you have received this stone come back to the thread and tell people that I was telling the truth and the pictures did not show in any fashion just how beautiful this gemstone is!

Shakaru I am with you.  I don't get it.  Here is my thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=57295.0

Why can Jered answer you on this thread but you can't get any kind of response from the company?  You know, it's not rocket science to answer your customers.  It's just not that hard.  We are not talking about a company with millions upon millions of customers.  Why not answer e-mails within the day they are sent?  Or gosh, so a lot of stuff is broken at Tradehill and people are needed elsewhere.  But you can't get somebody to clear your backlog of emails the next day?

So, Jered- why doesn't Tradehill answer e-mails?  Does it seem that your priorities are out of line if you spend time answering public forum threads but you don't FIX what is obviously broken?

I have over $600 in la-la land (also known as my Tradehill account) and I have bills to pay for my business.  Things happen; I get that.  What I don't get is why Tradehill will not answer me.  I don't get why they can't mail checks like they say they will.  And I don't get why they have this arrogant attitude when they are stalling me.

It seems that they might be in a bit of a financial bind and they are using customer money for their "float".

This auction ends:

1600  Economy / Auctions / 24 hour auction ***LILAC amethyst 7.52*** color aplenty on: January 09, 2012, 04:04:46 PM
This is an absolutely stunning amethyst from Uruguay that has an intense, beautiful lilac color that you have to hold in your hand to believe.  It is very well-cut for excellent brilliance.  This is a natural stone mined from the earth; it is not hydrothermal synthetic- guaranteed.  You have a full 31 days to return any stone that you buy for a full refund if you are unsatisfied for any reason.

This stone weighs 7.52 carats and is an emerald shape.  The dimensions are 11.41 x 9.60 x 9.12mm deep.  This stone is untreated; the color that you see is the same color as the crystal that came from the earth.

My wife Melanie and I actually hand-select every stone that we offer for sale.  We select stones that are brilliant and bright, that have exceptional color, and that are not chipped or fractured.  There is enough junk on the market.  Even if you are in the market for inexpensive colored gemstones you still want quality and that is what we deliver.  If you invest your trust in us we will deliver.

This is a beautiful stone that you would be very proud to own for your collection, but would also make a very fine pendant or ring as well.  Melanie and I make custom jewelry and we would be honored to design a piece of heirloom-quality jewelry to your exact tastes.  Please visit our blog to see some of the jewelry we have made in the past:

http://thegemvault.tiptopgem.com/

This auction starts at 8BTC and the increment is 1BTC.  This price includes shipping.  We will ship this stone to you via registered air mail which has online tracking for your convenience and peace of mind.

As a GIA Graduate Gemologist I understand the moral obligations that I have to represent gemstones accurately and to treat people fairly.  As an industry member of the Jeweler's Ethics Association, I am even more in touch with instances of consumer fraud than many of my peers in this industry.  Please explore the JEA website and see what they have to offer.

If you have any questions about this amethyst please feel free to send me a note.  I am more than happy to talk with you about this or any other stone that you are interested in, or if you are just curious about something send me an e-mail.  I chose this business because I am passionate about gemstones.  I would love to answer your questions.  E-mail me at dave@tiptopgem.com

This auction is only 24 hours long, so bid now!  See the post below for ending time and date.
