Last I checked up on SuperNET, the MGW has a history of being very squeaky and has to be "force fed" every few days when requests get stuck server-side. Have you guys improved the current implementation of MGW for launch? If so, what have you done to improve the current problems? How many servers will be used initially for the MGW?
Thanks.
I think you are asking in wrong thread vanbreuk (sprnt) BOT [9:00 PM] [9:01] Multigateway (or an equivalent development over Waves) would require coding work to be adapted for Waves, it's not a matter of server configuration only since the Nxt API is deeply ingrained in it. But of course a Waves MGW is an interesting idea to consider.

I read the entire OP and saw nothing about escrow.
Please tell me that all BTC invested during the ICO will be escrowed and if something goes off kilter during the ICO, will BTC will be returned?
Yes, crowdfunding funds will be escrowed, 3 great partners, will be announced soon.

Some more info:
seebettor - Ben (wavesplatform) BOT [2:28 AM] I've done some reading. I'm intrigued on the idea of a decentralized efficient trading platform that works with, rather than against, fiat currencies. I want to invest in the potential success of this. However, I'm still at a loss for attempting to model in my mind, and makes some speculative volume guesses, and understand exactly how the tokens of value we buy at ICO, how they make this system work, in which ways they are used. Are trades paid for and executed in a decentralized way incentivised by the trader spending the tokens to complete a trade, the miner confirming execution of the trade and earning? What else, voting? Please help me understand this better.
sasha35625 (wavesplatform) BOT [2:44 AM] Hi, welcome
[2:44] you pay with WAVES tokens for everything you do on Waves blockchain, including trading, tokens or fiat transfer etc
[2:45] in a way it's like ether in Ethereum. you can't do without
seebettor - Ben (wavesplatform) BOT [3:29 AM] Hi. Thank you for the explanation. How would I begin to model what that is like. What I mean specifically, is how do I grasp how much each type of 'everything done on Waves' costs? Ethereum, I believe this is set by miners, through competition, market driven. On Lisk, I believe the prices are set by the Dapp (which concerns me btw). How do I begin to grasp whether making a trade or fiat transfer or the many things that Waves can do, how do I make somewhat of a guess at whether this costs me .00001 Wave Tokens or .001 Waves Tokens?
leandro [6:44 AM] @sasha35625: what is the diference betwen Waves and Ethereum?
sasha35625 (wavesplatform) BOT [10:03 AM] @leandro We are just the opposite to ETH probably. What they do is develop Bitcoin scripting, do everything using contracts, it's very fundamental but makes certain things very complicated. We took another road, where things are simpler, very easy to add all functionality you need using plug-ins, don't have to code complicated contracts. Also our focus is on mass adoption, we're specifically target two markets : fiat transfers on blockchain and crowdfunding on blockchain. They are very ripe for disruption, and we'll be offering a product for a very general audience, basically the main end-user client is just a plugin you can install from Chrome or FF store
fern [10:04 AM] How long will transactions take?
sasha35625 (wavesplatform) BOT [10:08 AM] in mainmet 1.0 ~ 30 sec. after that there'll be a fork, the transactions time will lie in 1 sec range. don't want to have it at launch, first the focus is on custom tokens, decentralized trading etc.
sasha35625 (wavesplatform) BOT [10:09 AM] for 1 sec tx's some new POS is going to be implemented, LPOS, where lite node choose a full node to lease their balance to, they still receive the rewards, but the transactions become much faster
[10:10] due to the fact that only full nodes process them effectively
sasha35625 (wavesplatform) BOT [10:17 AM] @seebettor: we will have fixed fees at launch, with 90% probability. would like to launch faster. then yes, there'll be competition between the nodes that process the transactions

how much one can earn with the signature?
=> 1) The stakes will be distributed weekly to the participants
2) All members need to post at least 50 posts by the time the ICO ends to be eligible for a reward. This means that members participating today have 9 weeks to meet the criteria, while last week ones have only one week. 3) The stakes will be distributed weekly in the following ratio: Legendary/Hero : 2 Stakes Sr./Full : 1.5 stakes Member: 1 Stake
4) The whole bounty pool will be divided among the participants proportionally to the amount of their stakes. If, by the end of the ICO, we have 1000 stakes, then each stake will be worth 300 Waves. [URL: https://blog.wavesplatform.com/signature-campaign-details-e66628f761bf#.p6szqf1ce]yes but how much is one stake in bitcoin term? There is no way to tell until after ICO and the Signature campaign is over with to see how many people sign up. It's the irony, the more you promote Waves platform the more Waves tokens you will receive, but the more Waves platform is promoted the more people will claim Waves tokens and so less tokens are available for the individual participants. Good distribution.

For ico you accept btc nxt and other coins ?
At the moment BTC, other coins are being discussed but NXT is not one of them. @boomboom you have your response. We are thinking about LTC, DASH, DOGE additionally but decisions haven`t been made yet

As an investor I'd feel scammed if I invested in Waves and here is why. On the just released blog message you wrote; "What about blokchain tokens of our own? Do we want WAVES to be the value transfer token? NO: for that we have Bitcoin. Money transfer is the first killer app of blockchain technology. It won’t be the last, but still it will dominate blockchain tech for years to come. But one thing is obvious here, ONE (or a few) cryptocurrencies should be used as a currency, otherwise the network effect which is needed for something to be used as a currency will never be realised. We’ll be doing our bit to help Bitcoin become the first INTERnational currency (as opposed to NATIONAL currencies). It will be deeply integrated in our platform through a corresponding token, backed by Bitcoin multisig technology and a reputable Bitcoin exchange. It can’t be made fully decentralized for now, but we will integrate Bitcoin into a new ecosystem where it can be traded, in a decentralized way, against blockchain tokens — effectively creating a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange/crowfdfunding platform. Our killer feature is the ability to trade any token against another token on the blockchain (asset-to-asset). It opens up new dimensions for doing business on blockchains, effectively replicating traditional markets and making Bitcoin trading decentralized." This implies that there will be absolutely nothing special or unique about Waves tokens, so why the hell should I invest in buying them? To me it just feels like investors got to put in a lot of money buying worthless Waves tokens so you guys can make an innovative platform. Seems to me it's not worth it to invest, like I mentioned in my previous posts, you got to give Waves tokens functionality. If you refuse to do so, it's like investing in air, it's nothing, it has no intrinsic value or purpose other than funding you guys... ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) No, that passage you just quoted does not imply that there will be nothing special about Waves tokens. Just to the contrary, indeed. That passage explains what makes Waves tokens special and unique. As you have quoted, and I suppose you have read the paragraph you quoted, "Our killer feature is the ability to trade any token against another token on the blockchain (asset-to-asset)." So explain to me what can I do with Waves tokens on the platform that I can't do with bitcoin, dogecoin or shitcoin? Because the text seems to clearly imply that bitcoin will have special functionality and all other crypto currencies on the platform (including Waves tokens) are equal.? You can't really do anything without WAVES tokens, since everything is run using them - all tx fees, all asset issuance and transfer, everything. We will support other "money" crypto besides Bitcoin too ( DASH, Litecoin and Dogecoin seem to be a good choice now), but obviously Bitcoin transfers will dominate (at least in near future) What can we do for Bitcoin - we enable decentralized trading against bitcoin. so it's like decentralized bittrex! So I can't pay fees, issue assets or transfer assets with other crypto currencies or fiat tokens? Can you confirm this? Waves token is the fuel for the whole platform and all operations happening there. When you are doing any of the things mentioned above Waves token is used, when you will be trading with other crypto currencies or fiat which will be represented there as tokens, Waves token will be used, when you are transferring assets, Waves token is used, when you are withdrawing asset in form of currency to your wallet, Waves token is used. When someone is issuing the asset Waves token is used. When all other projects will be using Waves platform, the same Waves token will be used for all their operations. Other currencies will be just supported on the platform. "when I buy Waves tokens I own a coin that has less functionality than for example dogecoin" i won`t comment
