1581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Feeling more comfortable while integrating into the forum community on: November 06, 2023, 01:35:55 PM
Just feels like going through my own initial days in this forum, I appreciate the OP for making things so clear without and jargons and this will indeed help the newcomers and few more things they need to consider like avoid falling for any random scams one could find people advertising new projects every day under Altcoin discussion with catchy phrases but need to do due diligence because I have seen mostly newbie gets carried away with get rich quick ponzi schemes and there are a lot of such campaigns here and also don't indulge into any activity which goes against forum's rules like account farming and selling the Bitcointalk forum account though farming is not easy nowadays thanks to merit system. Don't think this forum as a cashcoe rather think this as a place which will help you gain knowledge about crypto world which will help you achieve financial freedom and it does takes time for sure.
1582  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 06, 2023, 07:48:38 AM
I see a lot of people agreeing with AIs prediction and some syas that there has been experts opinion on similar terms that Bitcoin will be finishing this year around $45k mark but I repeat once again not to blindly follow anyone who claims to be experts and AI will source it's result through various analysis and logical reasoning available on web but either of them could go wrong because if we go by AI then all the signals generated by AI bot while trading should be accurate but that isn't the case and if we have to believe in expert's opinion they are the same people who once said Bitcoin will reach $100k back in 2018 which turned out to be a disastrous year, I still remember towards the end 2018 Bitcoin was trading at $3000 the same people used to say Bitcoin is a bubble which has bursted. Please do your own research and analysis along with the news and events related to Bitcoin it will give you best direction about the price.
1583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I did just to invest in Bitcoin. on: November 06, 2023, 03:56:42 AM
The leap of faith which you have taken is very courageous but at the same time this isn't something even someone who has been with Bitcoin sine very beginning would recommend, though Bitcoin is not as volatile as altcoins but at the same time there were people who has waited from 2017 till 2021 to withdraw the amount they had invested due to best market and some of them sold for lesser value. I just hope your family and friends understand the reason you did that and I would suggest you to check with this forum before making such once in a lifetime decisions because we have so many tenured and well experienced investors cum traders here they would share there opinion. But one thing, you have choosen right asset for investment and those who are abusing you will be behind you once you start getting rich through this investment which I hope you do sooner than later.

But there is always a chance to enter Bitcoin market it's not like only early investors had that chance, even now there are people invested during the end of 2021 and got more than 100% profit within a year.
1584  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 06, 2023, 02:23:12 AM
There are lot of factors which defines this answer it's not only about becoming financially stable or independent but rather about equality because not everyone have same sort of opportunities to fulfill their financial needs and save because there are people who are born with silver spoon and gets graduated from top tier colleges and gets placed at high paying job which am average person cannot even reach after multiple years of work experiences, some of us earn just sufficient enough to feed their daily for the day and here there is no luxury of trying to invest when survival becomes difficult, then there are people who breaks the chain of poverty by not giving up. I feel it's more about opportunities and people should be educated at their college level itself about savings and investments so that they don't work till the age of 60s, rather people should be made aware how to divide their expenses and try to invest even if it's as little as $10 per month.

I don't think there is any definite age but I think one should attain this by early 30s.
1585  Local / India / Re: Discussing about Bitcoin to Friends and Relatives. on: November 05, 2023, 08:50:06 PM
It's not an easy task to convince people from India and other surroundings nations to believe in stuffs like Bitcoin or crypto in general.

I would categorize them into two type as follows:

1. Technology freak: They are very adaptive to any new technology let it be crypto or digital marketing or whatever is new in the industry and always try to be a part of new technology or innovative and want to be a market leader or expert in those domain, these are mostly friends and colleagues.

2. Old school negative people: This set of people will always question whatever you propose and try to proce that whatever you are pshating is a scam and they will even pursuade you to wuict about what you are explaining to them. Mostly some relatives.

It's easy to explain Bitcoin to the first type of people as you just have to explain them about the reason why Bitcoin emerged and the financial freedom it gives us. They themselves will do research and take it forward but the second set of people it's better not approach them.
1586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I’ve bought 100 BTC in 2011. Need help to find them for rewards. on: November 05, 2023, 08:13:07 PM
Hey I feel sorry if this is real but it will be almost impossible be try and find the exchange because most probably they would have shit down long time ago and try to check if you could find any other email about this transaction because whenever we make any purchase we are notified through email as well hence that would be only last hope in case if the exchange is still operational. But man how can someone forget which exchange he/she has purchase over 100 Bitcoins, try listing down the exchanges which were operational back in 2011 and try your luck with all those exchanges if they are active, in case if you are unable to find it then move on as nothing much can be done. Atleast for further investment try having an Excel tracker for all your investments and credentials and also a handwritten diary and keep it safe just in case life gives you one more opportunity like this.
1587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are too focused on history repeating itself on: November 05, 2023, 11:59:41 AM
There will always be fuds who would not even mind to say there will be a Black swan event every year because they don't have basic understanding and Black swan events are not something which every year or in every few years. It's a common thing people should buckle up and ready for upcoming bull run rather than fearing for one more bear market. Already there has been too much of negativity in the market and thanks to recent Bitcoin pump they are silenced and I am afraid even if Bitcoin drops to $30k they will come back with they fuds
1588  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did you think will happen to Bitcoin before January? on: November 05, 2023, 10:40:03 AM
I guess you have used the term "inflation" under the wrong context and you are trying to say that there would be bullrun and we will see massive pump? I feel we just have to play around as per market sentiment logically because usually this is how bull market begins but there is alway what if it doesn't go as per the prediction or previous cycles and what if it turns out to be a bull trap because we have seen similar stuffs in the past.

I think we need to stay neutral and set up an entry and exit target derived from analysis and be ready to buy in or sell off based on targets but it's not an easy task.

We also need to be aware of some imposters claiming to be experts and they just keep waiting for these moments to share their random opinion just to get more views for their channels.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 05, 2023, 09:20:08 AM
The problem is that this is a mistake made by new investors at the end of the Bitcoin bullrun, and they rarely read before making a purchase. I saw the peak of this in 2018, when 10 new threads appeared every day asking "what coin to buy for less than $1". And crypto portals, instead of teaching, provided what the reader was looking for, recommending shitcoins as long as they had a low price per piece.

My thread about this written in 2018.
difference between 1$ coin and 1000$ coin

Yeah that's the problem as people think if value of a coin is under $1 they assume that it can pino like Bitcoin or Ethereum and other altcoins which has pumped massively. I have even notices some new coins and their prediction post listing which will give you higher figure than the overall valuation of current crypto market but they use terms like burning x percentage of tokens to achieve their target which is unrealistic, atleast this time we need to keep the forum educated and whenever we see such thread we need to educate them and make posts like you did in the past so that new investors don't fall for these misinformation. The worst part is people don't even know what they are investing into as they just get into some coins which are dying assuming that the coin had dropped it's value over 90% so it may recover and they can gain bit end up losing even that. FTX was an example where some users starts investing even during the dump assuming it will recover.
1590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 05, 2023, 08:33:27 AM
I would just like to make everyone cautious about the current situation as it's a period which can make or break you based on your investment strategy. It's all about Altcoin investment and most of the newbie try their luck by investing into Altcoin whenever there are rumours of bull Run and the reason they prefer Altcoin over bitcoin is that they think Bitcoin is already priced higher and it would not get pumped multiple fold any further and they think Altcoin is price priced at single digit or double digit so they can grown thousand folds but that's not the case as it's a common mistake made by newbies as they just look at the market price instead of looking total supply of Bitcoin and Altcoin, they need to consider total supply of Altcoin and calculate it with the price they expect it to reach and think if it's even possible. I would suggest sticking to top Altcoin and Bitcoin.

Please share your opinions on common mistake newbie makes when market trends upward.

1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: November 04, 2023, 11:17:54 PM
Do you mean that the crypto market is in green I mean already pumped up and hence you don't wanna invest now and wants us to share how do you accumulate crypto? There are smart traders and investors who already accumulate enough crypto during the bearish market as we can buy them for low price but this requires lot of research to understand the rock bottom price which is not everyone's cup of tea and most importantly we need to have patience at challenging times because when we enter the market assuming it's rock bottom and it dips even further, most of the amateur traders end up selling the rest to avoid further loss without understanding it will eventually give them more returns of they hodl to Bitcoin, I cannot assure about altcoins because Altcoin may never recover post bear market and all the above explanation applies to Bitcoin.

I have learnt that the best time to enter Bitcoin is when the bull run ends and bearish market creates havoc that's the time you get Bitcoin and other top altcoins at the best price.
1592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you rather make your investments in FIAT or CRYPTO? on: November 04, 2023, 09:46:50 PM
There are two aspect which I would consider when you ask me to choose between crypto and fiat and I have mentioned them below:

1. Bitcoin over Fiat for long-term:
I would always prefer Bitcoin over any fiat because Bitcoin will surely be there unlike some altcoins and also it's value will increase further and let's say if you have invested an amount in fiat and after few year and you got certain percentage of interest, if you try to withdraw you will surely get interest as a profit but it will never match the level of inflation but on the other hand Bitcoin will give you handsome returns for sure which will beat inflation. This, i would choose Bitcoin for long term.

2. Altcoin over Fiat for short term: (never for long-term as Bitcoin will be first preference for longterm)
If it's a short time investment or daily trade sort of thing I would choose Altcoin because they are more volatile than bitcoin but altcoins are double edged swords as either you can become 10x 100x times richer or you will be just holding digital number which means nothing in real world. But for daily trade with high risk where I want to earn more in less time without bothering about risk factor I would go with Altcoin. Not the NFT and memes though.

1593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Importance of emotion while trading on: November 04, 2023, 07:56:54 PM
As a trader there is no way one can limit themselves to only Bitcoin and a traders portfolio will surely have multiple assets but it's upto the trader how he reacts the market trend and to be honest just like others even I have made mistakes while trading like sell off or buying in immediately once pump/dump happens but ended up having opposite results where I ended up losing either because the coin which I bought due to pump got dumped or the coins which i sold due to dump had regained the value and started moving upwards. We should rather learn to read candles with multiple indicators and go with technical analysis rather than just by looking at short term market movement, one should make hard and fast rule about do's and don'ts when it comes to trading and strictly adhere to it regardless of market sentiment. All we need is a proper SOP (standard operating procedure) for trading which will help us to keep emotions at bay.
1594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull season started? on: November 04, 2023, 02:59:11 PM
I thought that when the price broke above $35k, it would trigger the next bull run, but it seems there's a strong rejection around the $35k level. The volume has also been decreasing over the past week. In my opinion, the potential is leaning more towards sideways and bearish movement as long as the resistance level is not surpassed in the short term and the retest fails.

I estimate that when the daily candle is above $35k, we'll see an upward movement in the near future. However, my view on this might be a bit hasty... it could take another week to gauge the daily candlestick's movement.

I will be careful about bull run confirmation for this year because it is still not halving and bull run will not overide halving. Moreover, that bitcoin price extends from 30k to 35k is just the pump here and there and should not be seen as bull run so that we don't get confused. So I see that as side ways ranging of price, the real pump and volatility will be during the bloc splitting.  This time around more adopters coming in so much btc is in demand while hodlers are aiming for the bull.

That's really sensible approach and I am aligned at this way of thinking, we have seen similar price movements in the past but still I would vouch last few months were the time to invest into Bitcoin and it's not because of speculated bull run but rather for the fact that Bitcoin has had more than 100% increase compared what it was at the beginning of 2023, so by default whoever were hodling got their share of profit now. It's November and any spoke in October or November are speculated as bull run due to history of bill run as it has been towards the end of the year.

Even if it's a bull trap still we would have made good profit had we made investment at the rock bottom at the beginning of the year.

I would say we need to be more cautious and active than ever and not make the mistake of FOMO and invest when it's at peak or shouldn't be waiting forever for Bitcoin to drop to $15k once again.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can this new memecoin match pepe's 570,000% historical growth? on: November 04, 2023, 10:41:57 AM
Just sick of the way you guys promote these shit coins wherein once in a blue moon a project like Pepe gets succeeds wherein others even fail to make into a decent exchange and even if they reach they don't sustain as they dets dumped immediately and even if they somehow manages to reach some good CEX they gets removed like hundred have already been removed from Binance due to manipulation or shady practices.

However, I have gone through the whitepaper of this project where there are lot of promises but there isn't a single explaination about how they they are going to do it as some of their promises like helping migrants and all requires partnership with various organisations and local councils.

I would like to conclude by saying that we should not be part of any projects which are purely based on memes or NFT, as these can be part of the project by not the project itself as we need project which has real life use case.
1596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETFs and the 401(k) Dilemma on: November 03, 2023, 09:48:55 PM
It won't be a.vice decision to put all your retirement funds into Bitcoin and don't be soley dependent on outcome of Bitcoin ETF, I would say investing in Bitcoin will surely give you good returns of it's for long term investment but what I understood from your post is that utilizing retirement savings to buy Bitcoin and if it's value increased massively due to ETF you can withdraw. But sometimes we will not be able to do as per our plan and if Bitcoin dumps it would take years for recover and you can consider those who cashed in at ATH value of Bitcoin and it's almost 2 years now but still they are unable to recover the amount they have invested and it would just create unnecessary panic. It would be better to buy Bitcoin every month with what so ever saving you can make from your salary and I am sharing this thought from a common man's perspective.

If someone has already secured their future for few year and they could afford to losss the investment then they can go with YOLO profile and invest.
1597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No advertisement for btc on: November 03, 2023, 08:02:59 PM
Bitcoin doesn't have any paid ads or marketing campaign but it had its own share of struggling phase because people were not ready to believe in it as this was something new even for me when I hear about it first time and adoption was much bigger challenge. But once geeks started taking interest into Bitcoin and the vision of it they started writing more article and spreading awareness. But only in the year 2017 bitcoin became mainstream due to the massive bullrun and this time it got more limelight as some celebrities started investing into it and this was the same year when even the challenges got more intensified with regulators trying much harder to stop people from using it than the effort they made in the past. Ideally Bitcoin doesn't need any advertisement and will always remain king of crypto.

Also, bitcoin is not owned by any single party like these altcoins so who would take the ownership of advertising when there is not an owner to bitcoin.
1598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Must Read: Scams disguised as premium signal groups/channel on: November 03, 2023, 05:16:14 PM
Signal providers are scammers and nothing more that we can call them.
[...]
I think you have to be careful with generalizations here. There are indeed legitimate signal providers that have been around for a very long time, especially in the stock market, and can definitely demonstrate success there. Some are even free, for example this one: https://www.wallstreet-online.de/aktien/signale

What I think you are referring to here are pump & dump groups on Telegram or signal groups that post signals for coins with extremely low market caps. These are actually scams, as the process is usually as follows:
  • the group operator stocks up cheaply on the coins he will post a few days/week later
  • the group operator posts the signal in the group and sells his previously cheaply purchased coins at a very good - because pumped up - price
  • the slowest participants in the group are left with the losses
  • the group operator buys the next low market cap coin and the game starts all over again.

So yes, calling this a scam fits quite perfectly.

What you are referring to is a pump and dump groups and they neither charge people nor have membership program as their amin source of income is the shit coins or low volume coins which they would have accumulated earlier and just wait for the users to follow their signal and buy that coin which pushes the value of the coin higher and immediately sells off in bulk this the person who are late to sell their coins are losers. I am referring here to the crypto signal groups who shares the details on coins which we have to long or short with the specified there targets and only shows winning side by sharing screenshots and hiding their losing bet. unfortunately people falls trap for this and end up paying for membership. I have personally lost a good amount of money as it's like gambling wherein your mind is attached to the signal that as soon as it's shared you end up buying it to avoid missing out on entry price specified. If they really do offer such accuracy then why to collect membership fee because of their signals are so accurate they don't have to waste time creating group and selling membership and moreover no one will be poor.

I agree with you on stock market but crypto is different.

1599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Massive rise on bitcoin price, Is this a bullish Sign or ETF hype? on: November 03, 2023, 01:03:35 PM
Especially with the note we started this year somewhere between $15k and $16k, there were a lot of fuds and all those who used to comment like "bitcoin to moon" started posting articles like "bitcoin is a bubble", even that time I defended Bitcoin and said it wouldn't sustain a decade if it was a bubble like some of the NFT tokens and shit coins. Indeed it has been a good comback and I hope it continues at same pace and achieve new ATH. The best part about Bitcoin is that once it starts pumping all the other altcoin hodlings get converted to Bitcoin but one thing I am unable to understand yet is the fact that how come altcoins are having bullrun sort of price movement which Bitcoin has not going in direction of new ATH as the price is sort of struck around $35k because usually bitcoin bullrun triggers altcoin bull run.

I don't think there would be any long-lasting negative impact it would have on Bitcoin even if SEC shows red flag to Bitcoin as it has crossed $30k even in the past without any support from SEC so we can ot narrow down ETF as the only reason for this pump I don't understand it has a role but not entirely. Bitcoin will prosper like it always does regardless of SEC's take on ETF.
1600  Economy / Trading Discussion / Must Read: Scams disguised as premium signal groups/channel on: November 03, 2023, 07:05:25 AM
Before I go any further I would like to clarify that no one can predict the market and I am going to shed some light to the modus operandi of those signal mafia as they add you to their group which is created to attract customers where you will find screenshots about how their signals has helped members to earn a lot of profit and even you can earn huge amount provided you join their premium channel:

Here are some basic questions we need to ask ourselves:
1. If they can help you earn so much profit they would already be ultra rich and wouldn't be spamming your inbox to join their paid group
2. Why don't they share the daily report or weekly to check their accuracy percentage
3. Why don't they make it free even on trail basis so that users can get a first hand experience and join

My observations after being a part of a paid and few free group who provide limited signal for free users and more for premium:

1. Let's say they make `6 predictions/signal a day and even if 5 signal fails they will still share screenshots about that one signal which was succesful and it's a simple maths lets say you have $100 and you divide that investment between 4 bets which the channel/group has to offer and you go for long/short based on the update by splitting $25 each and end up losing everything in 3 signals and gaining 200% (inflated number just to explain) from 1 signal they will take that screenshot and start marketing and use it as bait but you will only have $75 though you won 200% in one coin but lost in other three and maximum number os users will lose everything.

2. Why don't they make a report though it can be manipulated, still sharing a daily report or weekly report to define the profit and loss which members have incurred will help other to decide whether it's worth joining or not. But if they start sharing it, trust me no one will join looking at absolute numbers.

3. If they make it free trail then users will understand it's a trap and will not join the channel/group

4. They will have 4 stage for take profit and if it hits 1st target and liquidates while you are waiting for 4th target to be achieved still they advertise that you have got a profit of 1st target and vice versa

Conclusion:
Rather go for technical analysis nad learn to read indicators and back test the date you will be in a better position to trade rather than joining paid groups.
