1581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 25, 2023, 07:39:36 PM
Manchester City is a very strong team. Pep Guardiola's second successful team is Manchester City. Most importantly, there is a great understanding among the players of the team due to which the team is able to perform exceptionally well.

Regardless of success Manchester City, they only get a draw in the first match of the round 16 of the Champions League. They get these results from a team like Leipzig, what will happen if they meet other strong teams like Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid, or even Bayern Munich. That's a concern for fans
Regardless of whether Manchester City's performance improves or not when playing home match later, it is still a mystery even though previously Manchester City have satisfactory statistics in home match, surprises could happen in the second leg of Manchester City vs Leipzig.

Leipzig now stands in fourth position in their domestic League and also finished fourth last season before advancing to the Champions Leagues, proving that they are formidable and for them to take on Manchester City should not surprise anyone, it was a fair match to be honest. The same Paris Saint-German team lost to Bayern in the first leg despite fielding their whole squad, and to say Mane was absent from the game was more gratifying to watch.

I'm not too satisfied with matches that ended with a draw and a goal difference, it will be difficult to predict the next moves and what teams will pull out next but Real Madrid against Liverpool has no doubt about the team that will qualify to the next stage.

There should probably be no doubt that Man City will beat Bournemouth... Now I wonder how Liverpool will play against Crystal Palace, after the recent humiliating defeat against Real... Liverpool are now well motivated to pick up points in the English league... I hope they win this game...

If I were in Liverpool's shoes, I will worry more about the Champions League where there is the hope of making attempt to beat a team that is leading them with 3 goals on aggregate than worry about making it to the top of the standing in Premier League, I doubt if that would be possible in the first place, if they put in their best effort and win 3 possible matches, they may end the season in either Europa League or Conference League.

They have picked up in their last 2 matches, by default they should be able to beat Crystal Palace and Wolves but it is very hard these days to predict simple games of Liverpool, like the last time they had a match with Wolves, it was very humiliating and disappointing to watch how Liverpool conceded 5 goals to a team that is struggling not to end up in relegation zone.

Until I make this reply, Arsenal still have @1.6 odds for their victory, this means that their chances of winning this match are still very big, maybe in the first half we won't see even 1 goal, but in the second half, it looks like we will see 2 more goals that will be created. My score prediction for this match is Leicester 1 - 2 Arsenal or Leicester 0 - 2 Arsenal. Still makes a lot of sense in my opinion, LOL.
I was surprised that Leandro Trossard's goal was disallowed after the ref reviewed the VAR, it was a bit of a disappointment and Leicester really had the advantage. The first half ended goalless, but there were two goals scored by each team even though they were not legal.

The Ref was quick to check Var after Trossard goal and invalidated the goal because of mere holding that wasn't intentional but couldn't award a penalty when Souttar push Saka on the 18 area when he attempted to score. We all know the history of Arsenal and Leicester city, gunners will definitely win this match.

Quote
Arsenal have higher chance of winning, that's a reasonable prediction after seeing how well they performed in the first half. But look at Leicester, they also have chances to score especially when they counter attack. 1-2 makes sense, but 1-0 is busted.

I don't know why Nketiah was absent from this match, it is not as if he has gotten any injury or offered a red card, perhaps Arsenal is trying to use Trossard to see their investment on the new striker they bought. I'm expecting at least 2-0 from this match and a goal from Saka at least.
1584  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason for bitcoin on: February 24, 2023, 06:04:04 PM
I was thinking about what a friend asked me so I began so confuse about the question and I say let me ask about that since myself don't know may help might come from you people here.

Question: Does bitcoin has year or reason when it drops or crash on like what happened in 2022 alot of us saw hell.so I want to if has reason for the dropping in volume.

2018 was another catastrophic year I think lots of bitcoiners wouldn't forget, the crash was fast as compared to 2022. Do you know why 2022 captured so many media attention? That's because lots of institutional investors have all go in fully thinking we will be headed to $100k as many people has assumed but Luna, FTX crash killed the trust that has been built worldwide but nothing spoil. Lots of people speculate that bitcoin wouldn't past 2018 all time high that was $20k but here are we trading bitcoin above $22k and with time, it will mature as the bad guys are already out of the system or getting out gradually. No place for bad guys in bitcoin, they will always get exposed at the end.

There are some silly mistakes I've found out that beginners make, but I still found out that most of us made this same mistakes when we were beginners, and I have decided to list out some of them here.
1.posting without quoting.
2.Rushing into trading with zero experience.
3.putting emotion in trading.
4.investing in a project without researching about the project.
What can also be those little but expensive mistakes beginners make that you know?

The more you look into the forum, the more you find out. Yes! There are some hidden page that some users aren't even aware of despite the time they spent here, even some already long time members make some of these mistakes, however, what I don't understand is your points, I don't know exactly the particular area you are trying to address to the newbies.

*Posting without quoting? Is this necessary? This helps both the viewers and the op, the views can click on a quote link and go to direct original post a user is replying and for OPs that used Telegram, it will notify them of new replies and quotes..

*Trading is out of forum related discussion, this is trading knowledge is necessary for beginners but I thought your message to the newbies is about forum mistakes.
1586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My father thinks I'm working in a shop,he didn't know I'm bitcointalking. on: February 24, 2023, 03:56:35 PM
Technology has made life somehow easy for us today. In the days of our father, they had no idea about working online, all their work to make money were done physically, and with strength, either they engaged in mini or mega business that will provide money for them.We thank God for bitcoin, that came as a messiah,to enrich the hopeful. Now my father asks me about my shop, and where it's located,I told him I'm bitcointalking, and he doesn't know what I'm talking. What do yours tell you?

This sound funny, hope you do have some bitcoin available for your dad, it will make lots of sense if you make some reservation of sats in his name, I believe he will not only like it, he will use it as a topic of discussion when sitting around with his friends about the new tech his son is always talking about, that's one of the ways adoption is spread without you realizing it yourself.

It's really crazy how internet has transformed life's over the decades and how people have fund of making money online instead of the conventional physical way in those days that you need to work your ass out but today, things are clearly different in another dimension. Imaginine today, you can trade bitcoin, buy low and sell high daily, weekly and long time frame for the people who prefer to hold, talk about internet magic money, this is what bitcoin brings to the table for everyone with internet.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 23, 2023, 09:59:17 PM
It's definitely not what everyone expected at the start of the season. Everyone assumed that Real Madrid would win, and I think this 8 point difference shows that sometimes things do not go the way you want them to go.
At the start of the season i knew that Barcelona were going to challenge real madrid for the La Liga title, i didn't know who would win it, and no team has won it yet, but what i knew was that Barcelona were not going to let Madrid win it as easily as they did last season. But right now it is Madrid that is chasing Barcelona, Xavi has done a lot of work with this Barcelona team, they were so far away last season, but once he was appointed he was able to ensure they qualify for the champions league, and now this season they are 8 points ahead and looking ready to win the La Liga. Barcelona can even win three trophies, the La Liga, Copa del rey and Europa league, so there is still so much that they can achieve.

Real Madrid became a laughing team when they were having difficulty to win team that are minors in their presence in matches and while they are busy making mistakes and losing, Barcelona was winning and accumulating points to stay far away from other teams, within the space of that 3 week matches, Barcelona unluck new tropies for Xavi showing him good result of been a real manager.

Let's be realistic, it will be hard for Real Madrid to pass Barcelona very easily but I don't think they will have it the regular way they are used to. I mean, it will be so impossible not to lose at least a single match before the end of the season for Real Madrid, I would prefer them to draw in hard matches, that's the only way they can come close to Barcelona if they lose multiple of matches.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 23, 2023, 09:49:49 PM
Exactly! In every season, when we get near the end of the season, the race at the top of the table between Arsenal, Manchester United, and Manchester City continues to get more interesting when we are getting close to the end. Despite the fact that Tottenham also follows these teams, based on the matches we have seen from these three teams, it is pretty hard for us to predict which team will finish the season on top.

That depends my friend and the reason why this is so is that the top teams at the table have little margin of points which is making it hard for everyone to preeidct who will come out before the other. Had it been it's a situation where 1st place in the table have 10 points apart from the other, it becomes easy for fans to know there place. I believe it's because it's English League for a reason it has been competitive by top clubs in the world. My faith in Arsenal has not die dow, Manchester City may win the Golden booth as a recognition for Harland, thats my prediction and so it shall come to past.
1589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life's first investment in Bitcoin by selling bicycles on: February 23, 2023, 02:32:44 PM
There is nothing to worry about, no cause for alarm. You have taken a bold decision, however, you should have waited a little while and analyzed the market, and bought when the price is low, it would have helped you now that you worry about market decline though it is better even better that you stick to bitcoin else you will have had more loss had it been you bought an altcoin.
The next piece of advice I will give you is this, please get a hardware wallet and move your bitcoin out of an exchange, it is better and more secure if you hold the private key where your bitcoin is held, if today Binance becomes insolvent, you will lose all hard work you have done to purchase your bitcoin.
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of holding Bitcoin in time of crisis on: February 23, 2023, 02:21:54 PM
If I'm not mistaken, bitcoin has proven itself to be a good hold in countries like Zimbabwe hyperinflation problem which started decades ago and shown again in 2018. So yeah, I would tend to agree in which people may have live to a country wherein it's money is not doing good, it's being to hedge your wealth in bitcoin and see how it goes at least in the next 4 years. So it's one way to preserve once capital, and so you relieved yourself of the pressures and on the contrary you might be looking to grow your money at the same time investing on BTC.
Bitcoin could be of great help in countries where inflation is high and people have poor standard of living as it acts as saving for them when fiat is not helping them a lot. They can survive tough conditions with the money they will get by selling the coins or say if acceptable making direct payments to the merchants. There has been lot of cases where people from third world countries have benefitted from usage of btc.

Specifically, the smart one. Those who don't know when to buy and sell might purchase bitcoin and still be in hell due to inflation(2022 as an example). Without a question, bitcoin has been used as a protection against inflation, but not everyone is aware of how to use this resource effectively.

There are people who have been known in their journey with bitcoin with anxiety, they do not know when to buy, they have been caught many times at the top of all times high and proven to them that bitcoin is the best class anyone could use as a hedge against inflation is always difficult, they have brand bitcoin as a scam, funny enough they always come back when they hear another hype of bitcoin instead of them to buy lowkey when everyone is selling.

1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 23, 2023, 12:08:32 PM
After the first matches in the Champions League, an interesting image emerged. English teams had unsuccessful results in the first matches. Honestly, Chelsea and Tottenham didn't surprise me because both teams were having unstable results in the league, but Liverpool's helplessness against Real Madrid and Manchester City's performance in Leipzig came as a bit of a surprise to me. All English teams except Liverpool will play the second game at home. All three teams can pass this tour, but I think the closest English team to pass the tour will be Manchester.

The already conceded goals by Liverpool wouldn't help them in the next Anfield match, 3 goals is really a big goal for any team to make a comeback; had it been it is the other way round that Liverpool was the winner in the first leg, I would have been confidence that Real Madrid would try anything to beat Liverpool in that second round, that circle is too small to accomplish that mission when we all know that Real Madrid would seek for more goals that day.

Manchester City may actually have more goals in the next match against Leipzig because even by their ball possession, Manchester City had more, I don't know why Tottenham failed to score a goal with all the opportunity they had, perhaps the Penalty had them become weak for Milan but maybe second leg would be different.
1592  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 22, 2023, 11:39:09 PM
Actually in terms of conditions as a whole I think the similarity is in saving because indeed both investment and savings both refer to one thing, namely setting aside money for the future or it can be said as old age.
The difference is only in the risk conditions as you say. Investing clearly has quite a high risk, it's just that it's directly proportional to the results we have if indeed our investment is successful.
As for savings, the risk is only in a condition where the value is getting weaker and weaker, but in terms of nominal or the amount of money we save, it is still the same, not reduced.
At least we can save gold if we avoid the risk of crypto investment and don't save local currency in the long term because inflation will have an impact on the value of the currency to be low. But if in the future you want to convert your savings into bitcoin investment then make sure to buy to use the DCA strategy at a lower price and to get maximum profit you must hold the bitcoin portfolio in the long term to avoid external influences on fud that make our investment decisions change.

Buying and keeping your money in gold is not considered as saving, that is an investment because it's an item that worth the value of your money, you may wish to redeem it into physical money or fiat to get profit or decide to sell it into loss, which ever you have at the end of the day, it will be considered as investment profits or loss. However, saving is one of the traditional or conventional way people love to keep their money and anticipation to use it tomorrow, the banks adopted this system and decided to use it as a financial tool to get money from people with little to none interest rate but inflation has  proven  it that it's a big mistake to save money, it will only induced low purchasing power after a while which is a bad the people.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 22, 2023, 11:23:05 PM
Real Madrid should get an easy victory because they are playing at the place where they usually practice, Real Madrid must keep trying to catch up on the points behind Barcelona and win first place in La Liga, Benzema must continue to contribute to the match so that it is easy to win.

How do you say Madrid will get an easy victory against Atletico? When have that fixture ever been easy? Madrid are the favorite but it wont be easy. As inconsistent as Atletico they can be a pain in the ass for Madrid. They have what it takes to deny Madrid three points. Madrid would really like to win that game because if they lose then they would be eleven points behind Barcelona. Atletico also would like to win and keep pressure on Sociedad. So its not going to be an easy match for either teams. Its going to be a very tough game.

They had it in a platter of Gold the last time they played, although the beginning was scary but the last minute was great for Real Madrid when everyone thought it was going to be another great tight between two the team but Real Madrid had another goal towards the ending which beautifully became 3 point instead of just 1 point.

Another thing I look forward that is giving me some confidence and validation that Real Madrid will also bag this point is that, they need this points more than ever to count to meet Barcelona and not as if right now they have any challenges, they are still looking ready to tear any team just to secure this points to get close to Barcelona before they become an impossible journey.
1594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 22, 2023, 10:06:08 PM
What a game between Manchester city and liepzig, I'm really enjoying it because both teams played very well and crrated many goal attempts, man city dominated the first half but liepzig started the second half with high pressure on city defence and was able to score the equalizer
It's quite shocking to know the match result between Leipzig vs Man City should be only drawn 1 - 1
What happened to Man City? Whereas they have higher chance, with stronger squad?
Well, Indeed, in the UCL, anything can happen. And there are many small clubs that are able to give some surprises. Even though this is only the first leg, Man City, who is also the favorite to win, has not been able to maximize it. In the second leg later, they must excel and win especially when they play at home.

Did you checked Leipzig domestic league, they only had a differences of 1 win from Bayern Munich, these guys are good in every way in their home leagues, I expected more from Manchester City but we shouldn't overate them the way some fans do premier League, Leipzig is a wonderful team that know how to calculate opportunity into a goal and that is exactly what happened in their match today against Manchester city while playing home. The defense was weak from the beginning but they Improvised and in addition of their attacks, they were able to had a goal and switched back to defensive game that help them the entire match despite the attacks from Manchester City.
1595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there age limits to Bitcoin investment? on: February 21, 2023, 11:22:57 PM
I was actually wondering if there are any restrictions on age as to investing in Bitcoin?
I read threads where people have constantly introduced Bitcoin to their underaged children (10years below) and I really don't think it's necessary because I feel those kids still have some mental growth  to do and since Bitcoin is a very volatile digital asset, I think children shouldn't be made to go through such stress.
Same thing also applies to the elderly as I've also read news of people trying to get some retirees investing their pensions into crypto rather than advising them to relax and enjoy their pension and I really wanted to know if it's wise to get kids and elderly into the crypto industry.

Personally, I dislike the idea of exposing child at early stage to anything financial exposure, it would tinder their head towards money at early stage but that doesn't mean I wouldn't educate them about bitcoin and how to be financially independent at early stage. As an adult, if have understood what bitcoin is all about at an early stage in my teen, it would help me grow independently with this nonsense society teach us. I saw a book about bitcoin for kids, those books are kind of things I would want 3/4 years child to be part of their reading books.

In addition, there is nothing bad if you secure bitcoin for your children at an early stage, but only you should hold it for them. not necessarily you even tell them about it that you have such precious gift for them under your care, it is your responsibility as parent to guide them how to hold their self when they come of age and when you think they are competent enough to financial stage so they don't end up spending it on candies and chocolate.  Grin
1596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: February 21, 2023, 11:05:47 PM
We all agree we're living in a crazy world and what's far worse is that it is managed by a bunch of clowns..
So, let's think wildly, one day US were to further increase the censorship just like some of the other countries in the world, they ban bitcoin, they ban VPN, they pass legislation for those who mine/trade/spend btc will be sent to jail.
(Let's not say it's not going to happen. It can! You never know just like you would never have known that there's a war in 2022.)

Other countries start to follow.

Where will you be and what kind of life will it be and how is it going to impact yours?

Wait, before I answer some of your questions, why on earth would anyone hate bitcoin that much to implement these restrictions? This is just like killing the internet and expected the citizens to act like you want, more like detectorship and anarchy.

Now coming back to your question, the last I check, the world doesn't revolve round the US alone, they have the resources and investors especially the institutional ones that will help bitcoin grow and get recognitions but it doesn't mean if US doesn't allow it strive in their region, it will stop growing in another place. Look at Hong Kong for example, the Chinese government has ban bitcoin more than I can count but as of today, they seems to be making adjustable shoulder for its citizens and bitcoin, you know why they allowed that, there is no assets like bitcoin and there will never be.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 21, 2023, 10:51:35 PM
Some problems came at the start of the season for them which necessitated a lot of changes happening for them.
Now there is no use for them to reminisce about the start of the season because they have to get up now. This condition is not too good for those who in fact spend a lot of money to bring in new coaches and players. The rest of the game is still there but this doesn't put Potter in a position to sit comfortably in these conditions.

Now is definitely not the time to reminisce about the good ole days when the season was just beginning and Chelsea was on fire and winning games. I’ve met a lot of Chelsea fans who always talk about the beginning of the season when the club performed well. I feel they’re trying to console and inspire themselves that they can bounce back from their losses. A comeback is always possible but I don’t see Chelsea making any comeback this season. They should just focus on how they would perform better come next season.

Manchester United had the same experience when Erik Teng came on board newly, things weren't rosy for the red Devils and couldn't make it to the top 4. However, they did made it to the Europa League where they are beating and battling with Barcelona who made it from their end but lost in the group stage. The difference between Chelsea Situation and that of Manchester United is similar but different in the sense that Chelsea is actually having a bad season and the more they played, they don't make improvements, they are sinking ship is no longer funny to discuss, they could come back next season but they can't continue in this manner sitting at the half way in the table.
1598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Do Gamblers Do This? on: February 21, 2023, 10:18:14 PM
In this forum and other forums where gambling is one of the topics of discussion, one of the recurrent topics is people who write about how their gambling addiction has ruined their lives. We usually encounter topics like "Gambling ruined my life,"  "I lost all my life savings to gambling,"  "I gambled away my entire salary," etc. Then they go on to tell a sad tale. It makes me wonder: why do gamblers tend to wait until they have suffered a catastrophic loss or a string of losses before quitting or seeking help?

The ''denial stage'' is one of the most difficult stages gamblers find difficult to accept, there is a point when you are supposed to give up while it is still fresh but some people don't know their break-even point, they will continue to play, and play in hope and anticipation to get back all they have lost and within that space, if care is not taken, they would lose an entire fortune or life saving and it is when they have lost all they start a thread of that headlines, is just that seeking financial help is frowned upon by the forum, they would even go lengthy to seek for financial help.

While the wound is still fresh with a little cut, get out and have some outdoor activities, not when it has become unbearable before speaking up to friends, that's what I do, I go the extra mile to even delete the gamblings mobile app from my phone.
1599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 21, 2023, 10:07:09 PM
How to make the game interesting?

Just play without goalkeepers, crazy 2-3 for Real Madrid, while Napoli is doing his job vs a weaker opponent.
Real Madrid is doing a finishing job on Liverpool tonight and the second half of the match have be filled with multiple goals score from Real Madrid after the first half was roughly contented for by both clubs, but at the moment Real Madrid already have a solid game plan with 2:4 goals in the 50+ to 60 minutes it's quite clear that Championship is favourable to Real Madrid at the moment and this is indeed a good attempt by Real Madrid to reclaim the champion status this season.

Anybody who has been following the Liverpool and Real Madrid match would know that they deserve to lose this match. My yesterday's post angered several people when I predicted that Liverpool will lose to Real Madrid, and I simply had to giggle since from their answers it was all emotional to me. The second leg will be a fire that Liverpool may not be able to hold because of today's result. In fact, Liverpool should have maintained that 2-0 lead they had as an opportunity to play the rest of the game as a defensive match, but they were totally ignorant that Madrid was this ready to squash them at every slide.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 20, 2023, 10:42:05 PM
United has had a very nice season overall. We can no longer compare this team with the team that became champions for years in a row and was the absolute number 1 in England. But we can compare the current performance with the performance of last season, and if you look at that, there is a lot of improvement. I think they can do even better. Of course they don't have someone like De Bruyne and Haaland, they often make the difference at City. United has invested a lot of money in signings, such as Antony and Casemiro. Antony may still make a somewhat disappointing impression. After all, you can expect a bit more from someone worth 100 million and he doesn't always play either.
ManU cannot be compared to the last seasons nor to the beginning of the actual one. If we take a look on the team few months ago, they were performing very poorly at some points, they were the joke of EPL. Things changed luckily for them which wasn't the case for Chelsea nor Liverpool.
At the same time, gunners took the lead while City dropped a little although they have better players. There is still time to see how things will evolve Wink

It's a good thing Manchester United started showing their mistakes, it was fresh and early to encounter and they gladly did, look at how that has favor them right now. Erik restrategies his boys and they are doing well, but had it been it was in the middle class the season, it will be so difficult to amend, this is exactly what Chelsea is facing right now. If I can recall, they weren't that bad in the beginning of the season, they were winning some matches and losing few but it got worse when Tuchel was sack by the new management and Graham Potter took over the sinking ship and now they are sinking everyday despite the new rope(players) they bought to hold tides and waves, it's not just working, this is why I respect Manchester United come back force till now.
