You should definitely keep backups or paper wallets for the majority of your bitcoin storage. You could use a USB drive to store backups of your wallet file but would need to be sure to this fairly often to ensure it is up to date. It is probably smart to store the majority of your funds in cold storage with a paper wallet stored in a safe location that is immune to the elements of nature.

Yeah, does not seem like it would be safe to publish the location of your mining farm or allow outside visitors as mining farms would likely be targeted for their value. I can't see many people opening their doors for strangers like this.

Not sure where you would be able to get a free one but I am sure there are several pretty cheap options out there. I'd expect that you are gonna have to pay something though.

Is there an issue with the shutdown process? I went to shut it down normally and it error-ed out and corrupted my database again. Unfortunately your internal databases in the working directory have become corrupted. You only have two options when this happens: 1. Restart the client with the command line (or bitcredit.conf) option "-reindex". This will start a reindex of the Bitcoin and Credits blockchains. This reindex takes about 9 hours on a fast machine, slower on slower machines. 2. Delete your old working directory and initialise the working directory from a publicly provided torrent file as described in here: http://credits-currency.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=517I haven't seen your name before in this thread. You are aware of that there are a 10 CRE welcome gift for newcomers who installs the wallet? Yeah just starting and trying to see if I can get it all synced up. 9 hours, ouch! I'll be sure to post an address for the welcome gift once I get this thing synced up.

Looks like http://creditchain.org/ is offline at the moment. I seem to keep getting this error when attempting to sync 2015-05-10 14:48:36 *** Error moving claim tip. Expected active credits block: 00000000078870cb73d6519d7615f49f76084d26b39f3a53a0a57f6d56e0004f, was: 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 2015-05-10 14:48:40 *** ERROR: Credits: ConnectBlock: Failed to move claim tip to 000000000000000009946c063a617ac017876eac40f44a38381fd1a4cd053fcb Tried deleting the bitcredit block folders, etc. But still seems to happen. The bitcoin side is all synced up. Is there any commands to run to fix this?

One last update. Version 3.1 (finally final) features: * Fleshed out the color scheme, all controls match now * Fancied up the bet verification system a little bit * Combined searches won't have duplicate entries for the same bet if searches overlap * Herobrine removed Great work on the bet analyzer Stingleword! Pretty handy little tool.

Hopefully the halving should mean an increased price but unfortunately no one really knows. Though with supply and demand, one would assume the price would rice due to less availability.

Not really much for giving gifts on mother's/father's day. Usually just a call or a card. Maybe a gift card every now and then or something.
