And btw, bangomatic sounds like a teenager trying to protect what he thinks will be a cash cow for him.  Forget him, his worthless coin will fade soon enough.  People who don't investigate before throwing in their cash always get taken.

The flip side though is that people have an obligation to keep coins honest.

If you see that someone has launched a coin that was questionnably mined, then paid to put the coin on an exchange, all when the coin is not even ready yet, it is nice to say something to warn people to be cautious. That does seem to be the case with librex or whatever it is called.

Anoncoin is a coin that from the start has had significant privacy features. Some people are excited about potentially adding zerocoin, others not. The work between fluffypony and meeh is much more important for the coin longterm. Regardless there is no comparison between anoncoin and a coin that has not even got basic anonymity features yet but promises to.

Strongly vote against using the name zerotrust. It would sabotage the coin more than anything else.

The few people who understand the arcane reference to trustlessness would be outweighed by the huge number who would instinctively say "zerotrust, that sounds like a bad thing".

I disagree. It plays on same cords as "your business is none of our business".
You don't have to rely on any third party for your anonymity. Its the reason there is a demand for this technology in the first place.

Right. I understand the reference to trustlessness, but the word/phrase itself is toxic.

Think zerointegrity
zerovalue
zeroethics
zerotrust

Very difference from "your business is none of our business" which is edgy but unambiguous.

Ask any stranger if they want to buy something called zerotrust. It doesn't even need a focus group. It loses among new people to almost any other name except maybe crookedcoin or letsdrinksomedraincleaner coin.

ZeroCoin, ZeroCash, ZeroTrust

It falls into the same mold. Its catchy. People come here for privacy, the demographic we are catering to wont have a problem with it. It clears up a lot of confusion and it might just be the slogan we need to carry us through the next wave of shitcoins.

Anoncoin is working on ZeroTrust, a completely trustless implementation of ZeroCoin using RSA_UFOs

Am I the only who will say that this is pretty fucked up? You cant just confiscate somebodies account just because they are pissed off. Nobodies should trust you with their deposits.

I've been watching this coin for a while, and with increased interest in recent months.

One thing that I believe that contributes to its overall low popularity is that most people don't understand how Anoncoin's implementation of Zerocoin is different than Zerocash. Hell, Zerocoin is already hard enough to grasp as a concept, let alone a variation of it. This adds to an existing perception that ANC is just a copy/paste coin with no real unique attributes.

If the ANC team worked hard to modify the original Zerocoin proposal to make it absolute trustless through the use of UFOs, you should consider calling it something else and stop this confusion. How about saying ANC is the only coin with "Zerotrust" technology, and then explain somewhere for those who really want to know that "Zerotrust" is a new protocol based on the original Zerocoin paper?

By the way, how is the RSA UFO generation going?

"ZeroTrust" its got a ring to it. Maybe we can run with that.

100ANC bounty for the best designed CSS for the qt wallet.

https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Bounties

please provide a short guide how to do the tech part or you will scare most designers Smiley
where do we find the css file?
how do we test the css on the wallet?
will the css look the same on all OS or do we have to do different csss?
is it pure css or are there images/other files as well?

Here is some info on QT CSS:   https://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/stylesheet.html

The bounty is to create a better looking wallet then the plain Grey one we have now. Something that looks like awesome like this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg8022980#msg8022980 but with the distinctive Anoncoin brand. It should work with all qt wallets on Windows, Mac and Linux.
