1582  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.1 Loan Needed on: July 25, 2015, 08:57:01 AM
I will lend you 0.03-0.04 for this collateral because its hard to resell these stuffs nowadays.

not really, accounts are easily sold in the digital goods and auctions section, but the post quality on op's account is pretty low, i think 0.03 is the maximum its worth for the loan.
1583  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: July 25, 2015, 07:20:14 AM
legendary is assigned at random from 850 activity if i'm not mistaken, but legendary is useless it cost too much and it does not offer anything over hero

anywhere from 775 to 1030 actually: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

chances of selling a bitcointalk account is higher if sold here rather than selling in ebay

i cant imagine a bitcointalk account would even sell on ebay, if it manages to even get listed and not taken down in the first place. "bitcointalk account" isnt exactly a popular search term on ebay...
1584  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: July 25, 2015, 06:59:45 AM
Buy a senior account with 350+ activity instead, will be much cheaper, the signature gains will be almost the same and you will see it grow to hero in months

the cost will be proportional to its activity so a 350 senior will be worth not 0.2 but probably 0.35 or more, at that point is better to buy a senior with 450, at least you're more near to become an hero
a good rule of thumb to keep in mind when judging account prices is 1 activity = 1 mBTC. however, this rule is usually ignored for most low activity accounts that can be easily farmed in a matter of a month or two.
1585  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X] Buying Avatars + Personal Message on: July 25, 2015, 06:52:51 AM
I can rent my avatar + personal message space for 0.003btc per post..pm me if you agree with this ir tell me if you can give more

avatars are usually a flat monthly rate, and what exactly makes you think youll get 0.003 BTC per post for just your avatar? what exactly makes you think youre qualified to receive more than double the rate of a hero signature for just your avatar? either wat, marco isnt buying avatars last time i checked with him, occasionally for highly active and reputable members.

Paypal allready cashed out it was a new 5 minute account

remember this :

[siz e=40pt]MY BALLS YOUR FACE[/size]

well it looks like you got scammed by kralle, hes been going around doing that lately. you might want to google search something about charging that back soon. really dont know why people do business with newbie accounts like that without even bothering to use escrow.
1589  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Who are some of the biggest scam artists in bitcointalk? on: July 24, 2015, 05:41:19 PM
I would think supa (crazyrabbi) is one of the bigger ones: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=575743.0
he has managed to scam over a hundred btc, not just on this forum either.
1590  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by CoinClochard on: July 24, 2015, 05:22:17 PM
you traded with a newbie who practically had nothing to lose, what did you expect? either way, paypal can easily be charged back, just claim an unauthorized transaction and you should most likely win the case. also, next time, use escrow in trades, although i dont know how many people would be willing to accept paypal as a payment from a newbie member. at the very least, the scammer's email is clearly visible here, so its less likely he will be able to pull off something like this in the future.

also if you could link the scammer's profile link that'd be great.

My gut was literally strangling me, telling me to not do it. But I figured, if I do get scammed. This could possibly shed some light on future trades on here. I seriously can't STAND scammers. If I had one wish to come true, it would be to teleport through anothers monitor, and beat the shit out of them -___-!.

I linked his profile btw. Also, in the chargeback tab. It's asking me to indicate what unauthorized changes were made to my account. None of them apply to this situation. But it does have "Other". What do I put?

i never had a need to charge back a paypal payment, so i cant tell you anything on what to do from this point.
1591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: receiving bitcoin on: July 24, 2015, 05:17:15 PM
Hello,

i bought some bitcoin from Belgacoin.com, this was sent to my address, but it's not showing up in my bitcoin core wallet.
Does it need to be syncronised first or are there additional steps i have to take?

It's behind 49 weeks and i can't download on my current network due to some kind of restrictions.
Help please!

Import your private key ( using dumpprivkey in core wallet console ) to Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) Wallets such as multibit or bither.
SPV wallet downloads only block headers from other nodes, hence synching is much faster.

For even faster synching, import your private key to a trusted  centralized wallet (which are using centralized server for blockchain query), like  greenaddress wallet or or electrum or mycelium (mobile)

Explore different bitcoin wallets which best serve your needs
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

I wouldn't bother with SPV based wallets. Electrum looks great, I like the HD features, but honestly a noob will probably do better with a blockchain.info address.
If he starts stacking serious Bitcoin at the end of the day the safest way is Core, which hopefully soon when pruning gets properly implemented will not be such a pain in the ass to sync with.

Please don't use Blockchain.info. You can go with either Multibit HD or Electrum. Both are user-friendly. When you create a wallet, you will get a seed, save it safely. It is needed to restore your wallet if something happens to the application or computer.

you should clarify why blockchain.info should be avoided; blockchain.info, in terms of volume of BTC stolen from through various exploits and vulnerabilities, come out in first place. in addition, blockchain.info has more downtime than should be expected of them, especially considering the service they provide.

I thought agora accepts new registrants if they register under an existing user's referral link? there is a referral link to register available in the agora marketplace subreddit (/r/agmarketplace), or i can provide one for you if you wish. Smiley
1594  Other / Meta / Re: Main Account Banned for Spamming (Help) on: July 24, 2015, 03:21:11 PM
hello
i was silent for nearly 50days
now i would like to ask for a second chance maybe?
i sworn off farming accounts!i know it was bad it won't happen again.
please give gismo28 another chance  Kiss
with friendly greetings

Why wont you just say that you owned the scammer account buddyisreal? you werent just farming accounts, you were trying to scam with your alt while using your main account to appear to have made deals

that's not the issue here; he was banned across all his alts for spamming low quality spam to farm accounts, nothing related to his alt account where he kept trying to scam people from, which, by the way, i thought it was fairly obvious that buddyisrael is his alt. its up to badbear weather or not he thinks 50 days away from the forum was enough time for him.
1595  Economy / Gambling / Re: [FREE]Dice Calculator ~ Calculate your odds ~ Level up your game ! on: July 24, 2015, 02:35:41 PM
If you'd like to make money you need  to code more complicated things like
a betting martingale bot.

I think he is not making money here because the title is FREE. Even if he can code a betting bot, he will need to code a betting bot that is better than seuntjie's bot and it is hard to sell it as well because seuntjie's bot is very famous around here

That's a good idea but what's the point of a martingale bot when u can use autobetting?

the purpose of this little script is to just calculate the odds of going bust at certain win chance and multiplier percentages; it lets people see how likely it is that they will bust when using martingale, although im of the opinion that martingale will always bust.
1596  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Shop on: July 24, 2015, 08:20:37 AM
What price on the chroma key?

offer?

looks to me youre just trying to get the highest possible price out of whoever bits, not a good idea to get business. you dont see retail shops with "offer" written on the price tags do you? have some set prices, usually based on a percentage of the current steam market value, and you might get some buyers.
1597  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I require help. I've either been scammed or put my coins into a dead website. on: July 24, 2015, 08:01:19 AM
there are sites that keep a list of bitcoin related sites that are just ponzi or just scams... http://www.badbitcoin.org/thebadlist/ is a good place to check for sites that whether they are scam or not before investing money... it can be good to do a thorough search of any given site before putting your money down...

there is also a list of scam websites that tomatocage keeps up to date: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=928263.0
its updated quite frequently too, be sure to check everything before sending your money to an unknown website.

1599  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to bitcoin and eager to learn on: July 24, 2015, 03:21:34 AM
Why dont you boost the earning and buy a hero member account , there are many in auctions

if theyre new to bitcoin, its safe to assume that they dont exactly own the coin they need to purchase an account. however, op is looking to learn about bitcoin, not earn it in the fastest way possible. just posting and browsing the forum should be great for learning about bitcoin, especially the bitcoin discussion section.

What is EV? Can anyone explain it to a newbie in this type of business here? I would be really happy if someone could link me to some sites where is this explained and easy said.

EV is expected value. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expected_value

example, since primedice has an edge of 1%, the EV is negative, and over the course of a large number of straight rolls (lets say, a million) you would be expected to have 99% of the bankroll that you started with.

Doesn't this make the casino unfair? I think that if there's this, we can't win in a long run, right?

well that's the point of a casino; casinos are for-profit entities, and the edge almost guarantees them that they will come out ahead in the long run. in real life casinos too, all the games and slots there are designed in some way to make the casino money. there's nothing unfair about that, fairness is if your rolls or results are random as they should be in an internet casino.
