1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: January 07, 2018, 09:40:44 PM
Well as he said stupid moves from his part and that for me explains it all. I think that is the payback, you don't care much about bitcoin and do not take it too seriously back then in 2011, you don't get nothing and don't need to complain that you have lost your wallet now in 2018 that those 103 BTC are worth more than 1 mln dollar.

I am sorry for his loss but there is only one responsible here and is the person who lost his wallet.
1582  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Security Issue with Electrum Wallet on: January 07, 2018, 03:52:53 PM
Since there is a security issue with the electrum wallet, is there  a way to check our BTC balance without signing into the wallet?
I know there is a way for MyEtherWallet where you can use Etherscan.io to check the balance of ETH and all the ERC20 tokens in that wallet. However since electrum changes its public address after every transaction is this something possible? Can we use blockchain.info to do this? Please shed some light on this issue.

Thanks!

Yes you can. There 's no issue if you open electrum while you haven't open up any browser tab. So what you do is open electrum wallet and copy the btc address you want to check to a notepad document. Close electrum and then open up a browser, go to blockchain.info and copy the btc address you want to check. That's how you do it. However upgrade, as this is an advice from ThomasV ,the creator of Electrum.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If ETH price exceed the BTC's on: January 07, 2018, 03:02:22 PM
I don't believe that ETH price will ever exceed the BTC price. I base my conclusion on the fact that Ethereum had some problems in the past, the DAO hack , which many people seem to have forgotten about now but I don't, I keep track with what happen with every coin and I believe Bitcoin will continue to remain the undisputed king for a very long time. The true competitors to bitcoin in the longer run are fully anonymous coins like Monero, Dash and Zcash in my opinion. Anonymity is becoming more and more valuable in our time.
1584  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Critical Security Release: Please update to Electrum 3.0.4 on: January 07, 2018, 01:23:14 PM
Apologies for basic question, but just wanted to check the following:

I have an older version (2.8.x)
I have not split my forked coins - everything has been untouched for some time.
Am I correct in thinking I can just download the latest version and it will open my current wallet by default, leaving all forked coins intact and accessible until I manage to stop being such a luddite and learn how to separate them?

Thanks in advance.

I was in the same situation as you , I had version 2.9.3 sitting around from a lot of time so I just installed the latest version from the official electrum website and I checked my balance and my settings, everything was untouched so I guess I am safe. Still I have not a big amount in my electrum wallet as I keep majority of my coins in Ledger HW.1 hardware wallet.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BITCOIN SUPREMO FREE PREMIUMS on: January 07, 2018, 12:56:05 PM
After a lost game yesterday today we still play on England FA cup ,this time a different kind of bet, with relatively good odd at 1.55-1.65

FA CUP
Nottingam Forest vs Arsenal---- Home team to score (to win this bet it means Nottingam to score at least 1 goal)
1586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally, Bitcoin is a Crime in our Country. on: January 06, 2018, 02:42:50 PM
Sorry to hear such news and I hope laws change soon in your country.

However to bypass government when trading bitcoin you can do so by using these below tools:

1.Tails OS, (Linux live OS that doesn't leave any trace on PC when PC is turned off, electrum pre installed there)
2.TOR Browser( already pre installed in Tails OS)
3. Optional use VPN if you don't have access to the above tools.

It is easy to hide your activity regarding exchanges in Bitcoin and trading but I wonder how will you convert to FIAT money since you say that your country has very strict laws regarding money laundering ?
1587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: January goal: Own one complete BTC. :) on: January 06, 2018, 10:58:16 AM
My goal is to make at least 10 mining rigs with 6 x RX 5xx series that will pay for themselves during this year 2018 (I will not get any profit during this year as this is a year of investment) but I hope starting from January 2019 I will start only collecting profits and own much more than a mere 1 BTC complete. By the time I have spent, studying, using and enjoying bitcoin I deserve more than 1 BTC in my collection for sure. I wish everyone to achieve their goals during this year.

After a win yesterday , today it is been a long time since I haven't played Moneyline bets so I am going with one of such bet from the FA Cup of England. If you have been careful to notice, we have had our best result from this country in betting which is strange as this country is known to make  people lose money usually but for us have been different.

Norwich vs Chelsea----- Chelsea to win.
1589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smooth, Low Fee Transaction on: January 05, 2018, 02:27:01 PM
Still a almost 4% fee and that is really high. i'm really hoping they will resolve this soon. i'm not trading in btc anymore just because of the fee

Maybe it looks like a high price 11 USD for a transaction fee and 4% even for me is a bit on the high side but the good thing is, the price in USD has fallen down considerably, someone did a transaction in Coinbase, he sent 100 USD and the fee was 36 USD so it was an outrageous 36% fee. Comparing both example I am very happy to send 300 USD with 11 USD transaction fee, taking into considerations it was sent with high priority as it confirmed within 5 minutes. I am also assuming if we send with medium fees, the fee should have been 5-6 USD or 1.8-2% which is great if you ask me.
1590  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Exchange without verification on: January 05, 2018, 10:16:30 AM
Binance is the latest so called best exchange by enthusiasts in crypto world, however be careful with new exchanges. Better to stick to trusted ones, like Kraken, Poloniex which do require extensive verification documents but are very much worth the trouble as once you have done that in Kraken you can also withdraw directly to FIAT money.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fair online casino? on: January 05, 2018, 09:17:48 AM
I trust the oldest one casinos which are still doing very well today and I am sure they will pay me any amount of money I win. The one in the signature I am holding is one such casino, yes it does not have a lot of games but has some very specific games you cannot find anywhere else. I play occasionally and I am never disappointed from 777coin except when I hit a big loss (which of course is my fault).

Longevity(for how long it has been with us), trust (what level of trust has among users) and provably fair are my 3 main factors to take into consideration before playing in a casino.
1592  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO users, beware! on: January 05, 2018, 07:33:28 AM
Hi,

I have been trading on CEX.IO for about two months without any major issues, till the last couple of weeks.

In the last couple of weeks, it became too laggy and buggy. It gives frequent "network call" errors when you try to place an order or cancel it, which results in losing opportunities or even money since you can't place or cancel orders on a timely manner. Even worse than that, their system became too laggy that sometimes, even after you cancel an order, (after 10-15 minutes), the system automatically places one of your previously canceled orders, without you even knowing it.

Yesterday, which was also a laggy day, I closed my last trade and logged off from CEX.IO. Today, when I logged in, I noticed that a buy order had been placed and executed after closing my last trade, which caused me a considerable loss. The same thing happened 3 or 4 times in the last two weeks, but luckily, I was online to cancel the unintended buy orders timely. This time, I was not online and I lost money, due to the lag on CEX.IO server.

If you don't want to lose money, stay away from CEX.IO.

Good to know, I was about to verify and start trading there because many friends of mine are telling me that they are selling bitcoins there with 1000 USD plus value than the actual value of bitcoin so I was tempted. I should stick to my favorite means of doing exchanges in the EU.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BITCOIN SUPREMO FREE PREMIUMS on: January 05, 2018, 07:05:18 AM
After a half lose yesterday and a total disappointment from Tottenham, for tonight we play FA cup.

Liverpool vs Everton-----Over 2, 2.25 goals (very few betting casinos have such option)
1594  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Skrill / Okpay crypto withdrawals on: January 04, 2018, 09:59:10 PM
Skrill doesn't have a problem with withdrawals if you use bank account, you are right about using credit card, after some crypto transactions they ban my credit cards and the only payment option left for me was to withdraw to a bank account where commissions and fees are higher but other than these problems, everything works smoothly for me.

They will leave always a payment option to anyone who is fully verified and is in Europe. Don't know in other continents but in Europe you are safe as long as you can use a bank account. Talking from my personal experience.
1595  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does Bitpay have serious problems? on: January 04, 2018, 08:21:58 PM
I hope your problem gets fixed really soon and you are worrying me a bit to be honest about bitpay as I exchange my bitcoins through neteller or skrill both part of Paysafe group and here in Italy no problems whatsoever so far. I have not exchanged any bitcoin since the last days of November, so haven't tried on during holiday season. I wanted to exchange about 589 USD a max daily limit to upload and exchange through bitcoin via Skrill, yet I am waiting your good news before proceeding.

You cannot beat mathematically or with probability a casino online, offline you could but you don't anymore as they have put betting limits. How you could have beat up an offline casino ? Pretty easy, you go to play roulette and place a bet always on red, out of 100 rolls, probability for it to be 100 rolls on black is mathematically impossible in real life. But unfortunately you can't because of betting limits in offline casinos and in online casino since roulette is run by software it is possible to fall 100 times on black. You simply can't beat a casino but you can have higher probability on sport betting when you take into considerations many details, statistics, form of teams, injuries, referees ,predictions sites etc.
so what do you suggest?
i dont know if i will agree with you about "cannot beat mathematically and probability" because for me i know that we bust because we dont stop playing after we playing. house edge will come at you at some time. so for me strat and stop can beat house edge

That happens when you hit a lucky cycle and doesn't happen always, so yes you cannot beat the casino. Gambling has been with us since early stages of humanity ,yet in modern times only the people who hit the jackpot for example of 75 mln dollars can beat the casino, and this kind of persons on earth can be counted with the fingers of one hand. It is best to focus on sport betting where skill have a bigger part than luck and to stay out of gambling through luck games otherwise in the long run, you will come out in big loss. This is just my personal opinion though and maybe right or wrong but I rarely am at a loss when only playing sport betting compared to people who play dice, roulette ,slots and other luck games.

Holy f*ck another correct score for me ,hitting 200 points so far during the week. Don't know whats the top record is in our Bitcointalk league, I don't know if this is the record but clearly the most perfect week for me during the tournament. Freakin wonderful week.

wow, your performance this week shows that every moment, with skill and luck, can recover many points and positions in the standings.
I was 2-0 Leicester and 2-1 Chelsea but in both matches the result changed to 93' losing 70 points!

I got three correct scores in the near nineties, Crystal Palace goal on 81 minute, Arsenal goal on 90+ and Liverpool on 96 minutes from 3 games getting 120 points in the late minutes of the games. Only Man.City did their correct score line for me since in the seventies. Lol, I am know thinking and deceiving myself that I can also still have a go to the top spot, why not, dreaming is beautiful. Also great to know to hold the top record weekly during 22 weeks of Premier league, and I guess it will be a minimum of 210 points as I think Tottenham will win today.
