I have seen a lot of news over the past 6 months, since BTC sold for around 600 dollars. One thing that seems to have stood out in the news is the relentless positive attitude surrounding Bitcoin. The price continues to thrive and big business wants a piece of the action. Words such as 'decentralized' and 'blockchain' have become so common in start-up's and established business. In a world where where we used to have emoji's we now have guides on emoji grammar. The online world is changing.  I cant tell you all that I have any more knowledge than the average Bitcoin Miner. So fro 600 to 1300 dollars in 6 months, My prediction is for BTC to hit $1500 in 30 days. That's my logic! If it doesn't, I you have my word that I will not try to predict the future again, now where did I put my crystal ball.... Well, BTC is officially higher than $1500 now. When is $2000? Genesis Mining is a trusted cloud mining site and there is no default red trust against them and with the price of alt coins at an all time high and if you are able to secure a good mining contract then you could tell that it is not a complete waste of money but i am not sure about bitcoin mining as the difficulty is really high and if the price of bitcoin breaks out from this valuation and crosses $2k then the possibility of a profit in bitcoin is also higher. @ OP talk to their support and i am sure they will settle your issue faster.If not you could start a scam accusation in the proper thread. As in topic. It's likely related to an old btctalk email leak (but not necessarily limited to) as it's using forum names in greeting line. So be aware.
I've received fake emails from cryptsy, mintpal, bitfinex, poloniex and kraken. There is a plague of scammers trying to get people's BTC with missleading emails. My recommendation is to download NoScript and enable whenever you are going to open any email. You never know if they managed to get some script to infect your computer to steal your coins. Also receive in poloniex email and kraken but i dont think if they are real.. Because i heard china people are doing phishing that can not detect by browser i think its called punny code phishing attack. I've been using Bitgo now for quite some time and all I can say is that it is safe especially from my experiences in using it. I haven't had any problem with them and the security that they provide is nothing to sneeze at. They also have 2FA so that you have another layer of security before logging into your account. They email you when there is an incoming or outcoming payment in your BTC address. If I'm not mistaken, they also provide you your private key for your wallet address with them.
Such a good info i think they are just the same as blockchain wallet but i am still not satisfied of using online wallets instead much better to use electrum instead or any trusted desktop wallet.. online can be possible getting some issue like in coinbase that i experience of delay receiving and delay in support. they should be also active in support.. unlike electrum that you can fix it with your own using some commands or already experience of errors before. |

Bitfinex currently at $1,533/BTC
Bitstamp reached $1425, which is $100 higher than was the case yesterday. It's insane how the price is being bought up. I am happy that I have done my buying largely well under the $500 level. As we speak -- I have cashed out some profits at $1404 as I think it won't go up much higher for now. Not sure when I will buy back, but there is no need to rush things at this point. I'll keep happily watching the market do its thing. Not a good idea if we buy today since the price are really high. the price of bitfinex is always more price high than the other exchange site. even bitfinex are halving bad issue well they are still alive and active.. much better today is to watch the movement of the price if you are holding even a small amount of bitcoin sell it soon before we lose the opportunity to make profit. |

I am really hoping someone can help me.
Last year I decided to start buying some bitcoin. I chose the electrum platform after researching and hearing of its ease of use given I am not overly technical. I created a standard default wallet on electrum but don’t recall being presented with any phrase or password at the time of creation. I bought a small amount of bitcoin from Bittylicious to test that the wallet was working. Once confirmed, given the risk to security, I decided to follow the advice of a web article and create a watch wallet. I did so using the master public key from my default wallet. The watch wallet was created instantly after inputting the master public key, again I don’t recall any passwords or phrases being presented to me
Over the last year I have been adding bitcoin to my watch wallet using the receive address form my watch wallet. I started to become concerned when the transactions being shown in my watch wallet weren’t appearing in my default account. Upon further reading online I am now hearing I need to present ‘seed phrases’ to access and spend my bitcoin in my watch wallet.
I don’t recall ever seeing any phrases in either the setup of either the default or watch wallet and don't know what this is. Can someone help me understand what options I have. I am really worried I may never be able to access my bitcoin again and have lost a years worth of saving

Do you have any other backup except for master key? Like wallet.dat or private keys? Let me ask if your wallet electrum you install before still in your in your present pc or laptop? If yes try to make a new account in electrum after that try to click file then open find you old wallet here C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets and choose the old wallet and transfer your funds into new wallet which is you already backup your seeds.. into notepad. |
