1581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: March 14, 2020, 10:53:23 AM
A lot of people think it is that easy.

They might read or heard a lot of people talking about hos big their profits are but they do not know how hard they've struggled in investing in cryptocurrency. It is true that you can easily earn a good profit in investing in cryptocurrencies but the problem here is that you could quickly lost that also because of the volatility of it.
1582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TOP 6 RULES IN CRYPTO TRADING on: March 14, 2020, 10:05:50 AM
Rule #3: STUDY, STUDY AND STUDY SOME MORE

Probably the most important rule, you have to be a student of the game. What I mean by that is that you have to find a couple of reliable good sources (*ahem* WHALETANK *ahem*) and educate yourself about CRYPTOCURRENCIES, CRYPTO WALLETS, BITCOIN, ALT-COINS etc. It’s a MUST! Without it, you are like a fish trying to climb a tree…not the best analogy but whatever, you know what I mean!

I am always saying this because, for me, this is the most important.

As long as you are continually investing and trading, you could still learn a lot even if you say that you are an expert. So if you are an amateur, don't stop reading books, be active on every updates and always keep your head in the game. I know this might be hard for everybody since not all of us are full time investing like me but still, you could do that.
1583  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin prices could have gone down to Zero - True or False? on: March 14, 2020, 08:43:02 AM
It is not that it is the only exchange,

Remember the Mt Gox incident? At that time the price of Bitcoin is not that high but it did not go at the price of zero. Right now, there are a lot of other exchanges and it can affect the price negatively but it would never make the price that low.
1584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 14, 2020, 08:21:35 AM
Porn site will bring negative effect for bitcoin because many investor bitcoin come from moslem people and they will dislike when bitcoin accepted for porn site, they will get negative effect if bitcoin using for wrong way.

So what if porn sites accepted Bitcoin as payment? How would Muslims be affected by that?

It doesn't mean that these porn sites are accepting Bitcoin doesn't mean that these Muslims are committing a crime in their religion. In the past, people are using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies buying illegal things on the deep web and it did not affect people who are against it. As people say, the transaction of Bitcoin increases and that means it helps in a way.
1585  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: March 14, 2020, 01:09:31 AM
Also the protection costs are relatively low.

Right now, yeah.

But there are a lot of ways that people can breach through our protections. Scams and hacks are something you can't really control since people will always find ways to do that. Another thing is that quantum computers will go our and the security of Bitcoin might be vulnerable to it after that. THough it is true if we compare that to fiats .
1586  Economy / Economics / Re: Help of cryptocurrency in globalization. on: March 13, 2020, 01:51:26 PM
Also, we can make a lot of profit and income with the use of cryptocurrency and that was a good thing about this but always make sure make a research and study to avoid losing money because of the market volatile.

This is the reason why people hate it.

They thought that they could earn money here but they don't understand how volatile the market is. They thought that they could easily earn a profit but we all know there is no safe haven investment. Losing in this market is inevitable so we should also let them know that if they will be investing in this cryptocurrency or other cryptocurrencies as well, they should be ready for it.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 13, 2020, 11:07:48 AM
LeBron James, Tristan Thompson and More NBA Stars React to Season Suspension Amid Coronavirus Scare

Playing it safe. LeBron James, Tristan Thompson and more NBA stars chimed in with shocked statements after the league announced that the rest of the current basketball season would be put on pause amid health and safety concerns.

https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/pictures/nba-players-react-to-season-suspension-amid-coronavirus-scare/lebron-james-6/

I agree with Tristan though, this is crazy.

The first time I saw it on Facebook, I immediately search it on google. To be honest, as Steph said it there is nothing to compare it to. As far as I know, there is this time when the NBA shortened the games being played by each team at that season. My father told me that in the past while watching Space Jam at the part where they canceled the games being played. And yeah, he sends me a message asking if I can still remember that since it is now happening.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction threads on: March 13, 2020, 10:44:26 AM
I hope it really did.

I am not addicted but I did learn some good suggestions and recommendations from a lot of people here. To be honest, some of those things I am still doing and started doing. As I said, I am not addicted so most of that help is to monitor my winnings and losses and I realized that I am losing a lot than winning so I really reflected on that.
1589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 13, 2020, 08:58:08 AM
I think suspension makes sense but I still think there could be something done about this in the following weeks to make it come back as well, you can postpone the games and restart the league from where it was left of, or you can basically just go straight to playoffs since there wasn't really all that much left but whatever they do, I hope they do end up finishing the 2020 season somehow.

There are other teams that would not agree with the season going straight to playoffs.

A lot of games postponed because of the pandemic and I hope everyone is good within the Utah Jazz team. I don't like the idea of the NBA being played without the fans there. One of the popular TV shows here in our country has no people there except the artists themselves. It is for the best but it is really sad, I hope everyone is taking care of themselves out there.
1590  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: March 13, 2020, 07:56:16 AM
There are risks in trading You can learn trading better by following these methods But the best currency for trading is that you can invest in Bitcoin Ethereum or Litecoin which are good currencies to trade. I usually invest in Bitcoin.

It is the common assets to invest in.

There are a lot of other cryptocurrencies out there but people are too scared to invest since there are a lot of scams going everywhere. So, if you are taking care of your capital better choose the most common cryptocurrencies investors invest in. If you want to invest in other cryptocurrencies, better study the whitepaper, the people behind that currency and other stuff. You could also ask the people here about it to check whether it is a legit project or not.
1591  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was $3,871 on this day - 1 year ago on: March 13, 2020, 06:31:04 AM
And people are panicking here on our side.

Not just because of the pandemic that is happening but because of the fact that the stocks are falling but the same in cryptocurrency. This just proves that is the best time to invest, I am not saying that history really repeats itself but we never know.
1592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In times of turmoil, is Bitcoin really a safe-haven asset? on: March 13, 2020, 05:48:27 AM
Some experts even say that gold is not that reliable as a safe haven investment.

Some people already sold their Bitcoins so that they could have fiats to stock some essentials in their homes while this pandemic is still lurking. Safehaven or not, I would just reinvest now since it is the best time to do that. It might still fall but after that, we never know when will the price be this low, this might be our last chance.
1593  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc dropping more then 39% in 24/h - on: March 13, 2020, 05:10:25 AM
The best time to reinvest.

A lot of mt friends are panicking not just because of the price going so low but also because of the lockdown that is happening here in our place. We can't really travel anywhere but just inside our houses. We bought a lot of stuff so we can sit still in our houses for a long time since it is almost 3 weeks before the lockdown will be lifted. Bitcoin will go up and it is not giving us the best chance to do so.
1594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Now Legal In India? on: March 12, 2020, 11:58:18 AM
That was a great move by india legalizing crypto in their country it really help the cryptocurrency adoption, following india I think south korea also making the same move. I am seeing most indian base project are also making some noise right now.

It is a good decision but I can still remember when they banned it.

I don't know what changed their mind but as far as I know, this is still not completely true? There are still those articles that say it is still being talked about and still not finalized. If this is now true though, I can say that there are a lot of good things happening with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, despite the dump, it will keep on getting better.
1595  Economy / Economics / Re: Help of cryptocurrency in globalization. on: March 12, 2020, 11:16:38 AM
I think this depends on the country that we are talking about.

Despite Bitcoin known throughout the globe, there are still those countries that banned Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. And we've already done this, I remember talking about this 2 years ago, seeing it right now really brings back memories.
1596  Economy / Economics / Re: The Impact of Corona Virus Disrupts the Crypto Industry in China. on: March 12, 2020, 09:53:29 AM
Of course, even one of the largest crypto mining companies in China was forced to close just because of the said epidemic, the NCov.
The global economy has really effect on the market's stock even in the virtual market it is also affected. Not just only by that, all online merchants have also announced delayed shipping due to the epidemic virus.
I hope someday everything will be okay.

I don't understand why would they be closing it because of the epidemic.

It is not like they can't run it with the epidemic ongoing. If they couldn't all of those miners, they could just run some of them so they would keep on mining. Another thing is that, why would it disrupt cryptocurrencies when it can be used in times like these. Offline payments or fiats can be used more often since people are inside their houses scared of the disease.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 12, 2020, 04:02:13 AM
Guys, in moments such this we are living, with a crisis just ahead of all of us, do you stop gambling?

In my case I have to admit that I will stop for a while.
When I see some crisis or a decrease of my salary (I have my own business), I immediately cut some stuff and gamble are one of the first I stop, like going out and trips too

So, what's your opinion?

Yeah, I can stop.

It is not like that I am addicted to gambling and I can prioritize my expenses to what I need and what I should save. Another thing is that I just use some of my cryptocurrencies to gamble, as I said I prioritize other important or essential things. It is really important for us to able to stop since that will be the identification that we are not addicted to gambling and we are aware of what to prioritize.
1598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: March 07, 2020, 12:55:17 PM
I like to know your opinion about the question because I believe every gambler has a different way of managing himself.

My answer to the question is I can easily stop when I am winning because I am afraid I might end up with nothing since I know to myself that I am not yet consistent enough to win in gambling, however, based on my experience, I can't easily stop when I am losing despite the fact that I already set up a limit to gamble in a certain day or a certain session.

Do we have the same attitude or not?

I find it hard to stop when I am winning because I might regret it if I stopped when there is a lot of money to be won and you are having good luck, it's easier to stop when you are losing because you don't have enough funds in your dashboard and in your pocket but it's still on the gambler on how they reach on a given situation.

Sometimes we can relate this since we pass that situation that we want more winnings on our pockets  that's why we tend to gamble for more. And compare to losing it's easy to stop this especially if our balance got dried and we don't have any money left to spend.

That is why it is really easy to stop gambling when you lose

But there is a catch, it might fuel yourself from gambling again and will look forward to it to win the losses you have the last game. I ask some of my friends about this and they told me that they are aware of the money they are gambling and if they are winning, they would be putting aside the capital and just use the money they won, if they lose that, they go home, if that profit doubled up, they're done for the day.
1599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: March 07, 2020, 12:10:12 PM
Did you ever noticed that any gambling site asked you to verify the age limit at the time of registration itself?

They don't bother really.

I am not saying that all gambling sites are like that but there are a lot of gambling sites that don't have a KYC so young gamblers could easily get in. If they will be having strict policies in registrations to gamblers, those people who don't want to be taken off their anonymity will be finding other gambling sites and that is what they don't want to happen. At the end of the day, these young gamblers will find a way to gamble in that site or other sites so better now dwell on something that you can't really stop.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 07, 2020, 11:32:27 AM
I have not seen the kind of LeBron for quite some time that played like he did against the Bucks. He was aggressive and was trying to send a message to Giannis. Yeah LeBron shut him down in some point of the game in the low post. The Lakers did a good job defensively, and somehow exposed the Bucks by giving the ball to whoever Giannis guards.
I love to see this match up in the Finals. While, another good game again to watch between the Lakers and Clippers this sunday.
Lakers won but in all fairness it wasn't a flawless victory, they for sure find a hard time defeating the Bucks Cheesy ~ It was only a 10 point deficit. If ever these two teams will face on the Finals for sure it will be explosive Shocked. I believe that losing is not the fate of Bucks, I know that they have the right harmony to beat Lakers (if Lakers will make it through the end, there are so many contenders on the West tho).

Lakers to be in the finals is possible but I see another beast in the West, it's the clippers.

The flow will be most likely (Clippers beat Lakers in the west and then Clippers beat the bucks in the NBA finals).
That would be another disappointment from Giannis but his killer which is The Klaw and Leonard will again win a championship in his new team.

I doubt it, I think the result will not that be surprising.

I can't speculate about that but for now, let's just use their games to it. As far as I know, these two teams fought in the court twice, and those games are won by the Milwaukee Bucks. 129 to 14, and 119 to 91. The first game, Kawhi was not in the game and they fought well better than when Kawhi is there with a 28 score deficit. I know that these data is not that reliable with the small number of games they have but still, I think Bucks can still win against Clippers in the Finals.
