I don't need any info unless you win.

The info above is not quite enough but I don't need any more unless you win.

The info above  does not tie that sale to anyone at all.  Don't worry  unless you win we can figure out what I need from you then.

15904  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Antminer S17 56T on: September 24, 2019, 11:44:26 PM
S17 Pro 53TH earns $8.00 pd@ .05 per kwh. $3900.00 divided by $8.00 is 16 1/4 months to recoup cost and that's at today's diff, which will surely be at least 10% higher by October. I'm just curious...how does anyone justify this purchase?

Well if you have a 1ph farm fully paid off you can simply add one every five weeks.

Or you can hold the coins and hope for a crash then grab them cheaply.

A lot depends on your mine and your circumstances.  For me. I would be inclined to buy 2 t17 40th at 1026

Two are 2052 trump tax is 500. So 2552 for 80th and dec 1 shipping vs 3900 for oct 31 shipping.

My power deal makes the t17s better.  But some have other power deals and you can argue for the s17.

Although if coins drop again to 7700 maybe just maybe we see a fire sale on gear.
15905  Other / Meta / Re: Possible root cause of permanent bans because of plagiarism made years ago on: September 24, 2019, 04:25:42 PM
Yeah, going back to 2012 posts to nail someone is BS, I have said it many times.

The flip side of that is you can go back through your posts and change them if you know you did it years ago and are worried.
I have been here with this account for about 5 1/2 years and have ~1500 posts.
If I'm not sure about something from 2015 I could hit delete. If I'm not sure about something from 2014 I could do a quick edit.
Even if I had to go though all 1500 posts it probably would not be more then a few hours time.

If you know you did or think you did it, you can go back and fix it, if you care.

That is if your higher ranking account means that much to you, take the time and clean it. It's been 6 months since the plagiarizer bans really kicked in. If you are worried about being caught at this point, and have not been hit just fix it.

And yet again, the bans from posts from years ago are BS.

-Dave

Yeah  the statue of limitations  simply does not exist at all.

I helped to get people  get unbanned over  older posts  that simply repeated rules to a new person.

Most people don't even understand the definition of plagiarism ie:

it can't be plagiarism without intent.    <  notice  this statement  it is a fact  and I am sure  it may have been written exactly like this somewhere place on the internet.

So simply listing facts  like:

it can't be plagiarism without intent.

Is not plagiarism.  going back years to find  statements  that  listed a fact  and saying it is a ban-able offense is not so good to do.

But that is an opinion I have.  I happen to share it with you Dave.
15906  Economy / Digital goods / Does anyone have good bitmain coupons? on: September 24, 2019, 04:15:56 PM
I could use  one or two   at 250  usd or higher  they need to be active and good.

You send I get and buy my gear I then pay you for them in BTC or LTC.

I make those terms since I have escrowed and have very good trust ratings.

Not sure what to offer  for them maybe 25 cents on the dollar.

15907  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Farm Design , Suggestions Needed. on: September 24, 2019, 03:54:45 PM
3 exhaust fans  should be  9 - 11 feet  they do not need to be at top of  room

3 passive intake fans need to be at least 1 foot off ground

intake vent 1 foot off ground

how tall are miners ?  and are they 1 shelf high? or 2 shelves  or 3 or 4?

do you plan on a no move hot cold isle?

15908  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: September 24, 2019, 03:53:34 AM
The 6-20p receptacle are cheap.

A 50 amp pdu means a lot bigger wire gauge . 6 gauge maybe 4 if the run is longer.

The 20 amp can use 10 gauge maybe 12 gauge depends on run length and codes in your town.
15909  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Farm Design , Suggestions Needed. on: September 24, 2019, 03:44:43 AM
Vvvvvv
Vvvvvv.   Air flow    From outside into intake.

Try your intake pattern.

220 cfm is max and conservative .   The intake vents with only 2 fans will be good.

Maybe three fans on exhaust.   The fans go from 4 to 5.  Which is not much extra power.
15910  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: September 24, 2019, 03:11:28 AM
Hey your place not mine.

but this photo clearly shows c19 not c13

I think  you are correct and it needs a set of c13 plugs
But you will be hard pressed to run 2 units on the 30amp pdu which maxes at 24amp's

64th at 45 watts = 2880

but that is at 25c  which is 70f
I  can assure you  at 30c which is 79f  you will not be at 2880 watts
at  35 c which is 88f   worse
at   40 c which is 97f  worse yet.

I can also assure that your 240  will go lower then that at times. My garage does 236 to 246.

I also know from experience that 30amp pdus  will run and run and run and run and run at 22amps.

and that as they get to 24  they will trip   far more often then when at 22.

I get it is tempting to try to use a 30amp  pdu  since it appears it could work.

If it is all you have that 1 circuit try it and see if I am wrong.

If you have multiple circuits do not try it.
15911  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: To all newbies posting here. A simple request. Second try. on: September 24, 2019, 02:56:19 AM
Phillip I fully understand and agree with you because of the amount of scammers around.
But if that's an option from the forum, why would someone should receive any kind of infraction using it?
I don't have sales thread and I do not plan to open one, that's just my 2 cents.
We can't blame everyone without knowledge about the forum or because they using option which the forum provide just because most of them are scammers.
I do not protect anyone, I just don't find your idea as something which will fix the problem or help the community.

Well you can sell and buy an account it is allowed  and it will get tagged by many people if found out.
I disagree with that since the forum allows the sale.

But this section is filled with thieves.

A new poster  is allowed to self mod the thread so it is more then enough flexibility for the one post member to keep the thread clean from a troll.

I would agree with you if some of the newbies  did remove the locked thread.  None of them do.  That should tell you they are a scammer right there. Since the requirement is easy to fix.

Instead  more then one of them simply  excluded me  from their custom trust list.  which  hides the neg a little.
Once again showing the 1 post guy's intent to steal.
Frankly I kind of gave up in this section.

I got doxxed from doing escrows and offering to stop scams here.  My name address and phone number has been published on buybuyer . com   I have been harassed for over a year about providing escrows.  I pretty much leave this section alone.  But your comment caught my eye.

If you notice I have not tagged anyone in a while .

@ gt_addict yes  you can tag  a newbie if you want.  Just be careful about  your identity  since I am pretty sure  I was doxxed  over this trhead or over offering to receive and demo suspect gear.
15912  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: September 24, 2019, 02:40:42 AM
you  won't be able to run it on a 30 amp circuit.

2 separate 20 amp circuits  may do it

or a 40 amp circuit.

the gear will  need  3000 to 3200 watts  fed by 2 c19 cables  3200/208 = 15.38 amps  a 20 amp circuit breaker can do it.
you could do 1 of these outlets:

https://www.amazon.com/Leviton-5822-W-Receptacle-Commercial-Grounding/dp/B000U3I1S0

and two of these cables

https://www.amazon.com/SF-Cable-NEMA-6-20P-250V/dp/B009Z2ED2U

so 20 amp circuit breaker >>>>>>  to 6-20r  >>>> to miner.

if you are 208 volts you are spec
if you are 220 volts you are even better
15913  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Farm Design , Suggestions Needed. on: September 23, 2019, 11:02:24 PM
6000 cfm in 6000 cfm out

40 x 220 = 8800 cfm are the pull of 40 s9 fans.

My guess is you need more 1 or 2 more exhaust fans.

And two or 3 filtered fanless vents.  Use a washable air filter. Say 50 by 63 cm these cost no power

You can go low with them on the cool side

Cool air outside

15914  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Pool hopping..... yea or nay? on: September 23, 2019, 07:46:56 PM
The time to pool hop comes near the 1/2 ing .

If you are fully ramped on a ppns pool and switch to a pps+ right before the 1/2 ing you get higher hash power right before the 1/2 ing.  Then when the 1/2 ing hits you can stay on the pps+ pool.

Of course we don’t have many ppns pools that are big enough left to make this worth while.

A 2 or 3 block a week 5n pool would be good.   You could leave it 10 days before the 1/2 ing.

Hit 5 times while collecting fully from the pps+ pool.
15915  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon t3 50 arrived. on: September 23, 2019, 03:17:39 PM
Still running very close to 50.5 on factory plus .  It pulls 3400 watts in the smaller solar array at buysolar .

So. I don’t mind it as much since it will run at factory+ for the time being.

Down the road it won’t do the promised 33th and 1650 watts.  So at the 1/2 I may not like it very much.

I won’t be buying from them for the time being.

We moved this to Clifton NJ it is running on factory+ does 50.50 th pulls heavy watts 3400.

I can’t recommend this over bitmain t17 or bitmain s17 or whatsminer 20s or whatsminer 21s.

I spoke with another purchaser of inno gear and he is delayed and had to send  more coin in order to get t50's since they did not have his t43's  if and when he

gets them I will post back.  So As much as I am annoyed others are hurt more then me.
15916  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: September 23, 2019, 01:34:15 PM
Looks like the CEO of MicroBT says the delay is from the chip maker.

https://www.coindesk.com/microbt-expects-400-million-q3-revenue-from-miner-sales-despite-chip-holdup

Also, he says they sold 200,000 miners since July and he estimates the network hash to be 120 EH/s by the end of the year.

I read the article appears that they delivered  a lot of units.

... Yang Zuoxing, founder and CEO of the Shenzhen, China-based firm, said in a keynote speech at the New Era Mining Summit hosted by mining pool Poolin on Sunday that the firm has received a spate of orders for its latest M20 series models since July, and has already delivered over 100,000 units. It expects to have delivered 200,000 by the end of this month.

The WhatsMiner M20 series are priced at between $1,500 to $2,000, which means the delivery of a total of 200,000 units would be worth around $350 million (assuming equal sales between both models). Currently, investors placing pre-orders for new mining equipment will have to wait until January 2020 to receive the products...

but  the pricing for units is not 1500 to 2000 from resellers so that is most likely  bulk wholesale deals.

100000 x 68 th =  big ass amount of hash

         68th
       680th = 10
    6,800th = 100
  68,000th = 1000
680,000th = 10,000
6,800,000th = 100,000     this number is  same as 6,800 ph or 6.8eh

this does not count  future orders  past sept delivery date.   we are near 90eh  so 6.8 eh by end of sept  means we will see a larger jump again.
15917  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What to do with all the old s-9s. on: September 23, 2019, 02:14:23 AM
No I couldn't find it at the Lowe's I was at.  I got some silver insulation like that but it's non adhesive.  I was just going to screw it on.

1/2" away from the has boards, thanks, I can make it like that.  I'm still waiting on the delta fans but have pretty much everything else.  I am going to do the wedges tomorrow, so it's all ready to go when the delta fans arrive.

I just have the one s9 because I only have one 220v circuit available for mining, the rest are 110v.  Although now that this space heater s9 can run easily on 110v, I can get something else to put on the 220v.

yeah  it will do 4th and 400 watts with one board.

if you have the older firmware from dec 2018  low speed does less and is quieter.

I like art 🖼 so I gave you a merit.  You need one merit and about 42 posts over six weeks to be a jr member.  So if you post here and there on the site over the next few weeks you can become a jr member for free this will allow you sending pm’s and posting images.

Good luck with your sales.

I have a suggestion for you take a photo with a piece of 🧻 paper and 1 sale item, have the paper read this is cartyisme and I am selling this on bitcointalk sept 23 2019
