15901  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which casino / poker affiliates have been the best to you? on: April 12, 2018, 08:57:09 AM
I was actually extremely active in the late 1990s and early 2000s as an affiliate marketer and made decent earnings at the time, mainly because my traffic and audience then was a very new market in SEA.

There weren't that many gambling affiliates then, William Hill was the one that did all right. But towards mid 2000s gambling commissions tapered off and moved towards the lifetime commissions we're more used to seeing now with crypto casinos.

I dabbled in 2006, around the time I started using Bitcoin seriously... A lot of sign ups but practically zero returns on the sites I promoted. I would say crypto-games has a goof affiliate program. Commissions earned also contribute to the tiered levels, giving you permanent daily rewards.

Thanks Lio...  Buwaytress, don't see your pm, please resend.  Thanks.

Edit:  I see it now.  I think I'd have to switch to a faster connection...  My internet's f*cked up.  On to the neighbor's place.  Grin

It gave me a good watch throughout... but...

I shut off my connection after Ronaldo scored that penalty. Can't bear to watch now. Damned English ref sent off Buffon. Yes, it was a penalty, but surely you have to account for the emotion, to send off the captain when the spot kick is probably the last proper moment of the game? That was just a lack of class.

So it's Real to the semis... Juventus took it far and to lose like this. Takes away all the shine. Sorry to see a legend bow out like this. He won't even get his deserved send off from the Bernabeu if he's sent off right?
15903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 11, 2018, 08:13:54 PM
Are we for real? The Old Lady just scored and it's all level right now 3-3 on aggregate. Old boy Matuidi too, I remember him as a youth player on my Winning Eleven back in the day haha, even at that age he had been one of my favourite underdog Frenchies.

This competition is just the balls, guys. I'm just kicking myself for not taking a risky bet on yet another 3 goal recovery!

^  Second half, Real...  Eerrr I mean Ronaldo scores three goals.  Grin

Anyway, you guys know any streams online?  My Kodi f*cked up on me, and vipbox.me is sooo slow...

Streams are always f'd up for me, but I sent you a PM too, good luck!
15904  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Educate us on the ins and outs how sig campaigns work and their effectiveness on: April 11, 2018, 07:11:28 PM
Weighing in. I think from impressions alone, the signature campaigns here carry a lot of weight, particularly when they're done long term as every post still carries the signature. Marketing people will say the focus is on conversion rates but I think there's also some consideration for "repetition and confirmation" as pointed out by hugeblack. There's very powerful psychology behind that.

Reputation by association is also very powerful (or association by reputation maybe?) - bitcointalk is still, by far, the source for Bitcoin discussion and hosts the biggest micro economy for Bitcoin. If your brand's running a campaign, first choice has to be this forum.

With social media avenues also running out (note, though, that this forum also no longer carries ads for ICOs), the value of bct can only increase.
15905  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Experiment: STARTED on: April 11, 2018, 05:50:18 PM
Belated thanks for the April update, Loyce. The silver lining here is that, apart from the dollar appreciation that is, is that even this quarter's battering still leaves us in reasonable profit. Somewhat goes to show that diversification doesn't much affect portfolio since the market seems anchored to Bitcoin's fortunes.

I'd definitely join a second round, just enjoying the experiment. Pleased to see Peercoin is one of the handful to still be in the black. Thankless task to host this, though, and I'd rather you do what's easiest for yourself and leave the participants to either trust you or not.

Edit: my eyes fool me. PPC has lost ground.
15906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 11, 2018, 04:47:06 PM
I don’t give a damn if it was offside or not, we’re into the semi finals. City had 3 or 4 shots on target in both games combined Wink

Who wants to face the mighty LFC now? I’m not afraid of anybody, sure you need a lot of luck to win the CL but I think we have a good a chance as anybody. I will have two tickets for the Anfield leg of the semi. I’ve booked a hotel in Kiev for the final today (it has free cancellation so if we go out I can cancel it).

I have to be there if we make it, I just have to. It could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Mo Salah is a machine.

Fun fact is Suarez, Sterling & Coutinho all went out on the same night Cheesy
All 3 left Liverpool hoping for bigger things (Suarez has done well I admit that)

Salah is a machine, Mane is a beast, Firminho is a monster. No one in Europe will be pleased to face any of these, least of all in their entire triumvirate! Well done on booking Kiev. I wish the clock were turned back a few years and I have the resources (time mostly) to go. I was able to for a period of 4 years - all of which we weren't even in CL, so I feel like I've really missed an opportunity.

I forgot about Sterling to be honest. Suarez I could never begrudge, I love that guy with a twinge of sadness. Sterling though, he left and we got better so I'm happy for the choices people made. Even Coutinho I somehow never got attached to in his time. No bad blood, and I'm sure he and Suarez will be jumping up and down watching us in the semis!
15907  Economy / Goods / Re: Doohtz.com - Crypto Apparel Store on: April 11, 2018, 03:35:01 PM
$35.00 for T-shit...it has printed inside an wallet with eth what worth $30.00?

LOL Material: 50% polyester, 25% cotton, and 25% Rayon

Dude, don't crap on people's goods. If you want a $10 T shirt with thousands in print, you can find plenty of that. It's a small enough group of Bitcoin enthusiasts also in the creative crafts industry, and you're not forced to support them. If they feel their art is worth that much, then let them set the price.

OP, you might get better exposure in the correct forum section, suggest you move thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0

You should check out prices of other sellers too. Might make you more competitive.
15908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 11, 2018, 09:36:53 AM
Ho Lee Shit guys  Grin Barcelona are out! Damn the odds on Roma -2.5 were astronomical haha. If someone picked that big congrats to you  Shocked It's funny that Barcelona got the completely opposite treatment from last season's CL. Just goes to show that karma is a bitch sometimes lol. And another fun fact is that Coutinho moved over to Barceona and now they are out while Liverpool go on to the next round. Hilarious  Grin

I was just discussing last night before the game, that a nice dream would be for Pool to progress and reunite temporarily with Barca either in the semis or who knows, all the way to the game in Kiev. But it was definitely not to be. I was too consumed by the game even when leading 2-1, I was half expecting 2 or 3 goals to still creep into the net but I've never seen Lovren so solid (please don't get jinxed, dude).

It was only after the game ended and commentary switched to Rome that I realised Messi and co were dumped out!

I honestly can't remember when quarterfinals were this exciting (though of course having pool in it ups the excitement for me). Who would have though Italy could still be represented in the SF when both Juve and Roma had 3 goal deficits? So now Italy and England await tonight to see who makes it. Two major upsets... Roma was over 20 to progress. I made a sweet 6.4 on Liverpool to win, but imagine a parlay with Roma!

It's funny how everyone pretends to follow the CL closely but I haven't seen any arguments about Leroy Sane's goal that was flagged as 'off side' by the lines man...

Anyway, congrats to Liverpool.  It's at least nice to see one EPL club in the semis.

It was a major talking point by all the commentators, but they roundly agreed - as did Pep himself, that they deserved to get knocked out by the way they played both 2nd halves. I'm a pool fan, and that was a goal for sure. I won't even comment about the first goal when Sterling fouled DVD leading up to the goal. van Dijk should know better than to look to the ref for a whistle. I just can't abide by players who look for fouls.
15909  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [HIRING] CTO for a Blockchain Project on: April 10, 2018, 10:23:35 PM
I love how those openings lists super serious requirements but rarely states how much much it pays. You realize that professional with the skills you listed will not ask you for less then 100 000$/year ? I mean you are offering 5 step interview - that is some google level stuff. I hired many devs in my time and learned - to hunt a professional I need to tell him what he gets clearly and maybe even before telling him what I ask for.

Actually, even in my previous industry, was frustratingly difficult to find a transparent wage level and I haven't seen any different in computer engineering. That said, the levels of competency in this really new, really saturated blockchain sphere seem to be much lower than I'd been given to expect. Outside of Bitcoin, only a handful are available and mostly spoken for. I suspect this is why you've got people coming here trying to headhunt CTOs on the forum.

Japan it seems is even hiring people without degrees, just sending them for open courses. I've seen now several projects with CTOs having next to no qualifications with very few projects under their belt. This is what's called opportunity, though, isn't it?
15910  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pornhub Casino now accepting bitcoin and many other cryptocurrency! ph.casino on: April 10, 2018, 05:29:42 PM
You like linking your site in other people post Wink

And what do you say about this link then https://www.pornhub.com/blog/3181

You guy's are very funny go check it out signup the site is real and cool! Still don't want to admit its real!

Now there, I stand corrected! I did try looking through the blog earlier but couldn't find anything about the casino. So they have had a casino, and it's been around since 2016 too... that really helps explain their revenue, sponsoring all kinds of events (even a snowplough last winter if I recall correctly!).

Still, would say to have us take it seriously, it'd really have to let us withdraw in crypto. Then again, maybe they just need to rely on the same credit-card using base of PH users to gamble. And would explain why they don't have an ANN thread here.
15911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 10, 2018, 04:22:40 PM
Yesterday I thought I would play Liverpool +1 on this game. However, when I started making the ticket this morning I think it is best to skip betting on this game and just enjoy watching it.

This could go every possible way, depending on who scores first goal and when. If City scores first goal anywhere in first half I am seeing this game as an over goals for sure and probable both to score as well. If Lpool scores first I can see City breaking down (after two bad results) and Lpool just playing waiting game. The game could easily end as 0:1 for Lpool. If there is no goal in the first half it will probably end with low scoring City win.

As I already said the smart thing would be to skip betting on this one but since my gambling addiction doesen't let me do that Smiley I have at least limited my stake to beer money.

Good call Trofo! I did very well last week on Liverpool @3+ and over 2.5 also in the bag, so I can afford a small bet on Liverpool that I honestly won't mind losing if Liverpool still make it through tonight!

If Liverpool score first, then it's a tall order for City, so I'll want them to do that. Klopp will want them to do that, the team want to do that. City scores first and yes, it's going to be a goal fest!

I'm really happy already at this stage, of course I can't imagine the pain if we somehow still lose tonight to give City the semi-final berth, but I think no fan will dump on Klopp of the team just sets out to play the beautiful way they always do.

Can't believe Danilo (or was it Fernandinho?) who says Liverpool is a long-ball team, though.

MY two bets tonight. Beer money, like you:

Liverpool Money Line at a massive 6.4!
Barca -1 handicap @2.1 is also pretty, shame I won't be watching that match!
15912  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Shower thoughts on a 2nd layer Bitcoin network and why big blockers are scared on: April 10, 2018, 01:45:36 PM
Sorry of this will break the chain of discussion but I had unanswered questions from previous threads that seemed to be about LN grievances, citing nodes as banks charging interest - something I couldn't find reference to.

Is this possibility OP discusses (and achow clarifies) where this idea of interest bearing loans come from?

My take. There's already that possibility without a need for a 2nd layer as achow says. And I think there already are projects proposing to do just that. Loan facilities backed by actual coins. This isn't a technological breakthrough though, just an innovation in lending.

The significant benefit pointed out by Kakmakr is that coins aren't dreamed up with this system.

15913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading was fun! on: April 10, 2018, 12:54:54 PM
Well, gambling and "whaling" can be fun. Did you ever replicate your initial success, OP? I was just saying in another thread that some traders overlook the luck factor and attribute their success to skill and expertise. What you did was pump and dump, and that's a form of trying to time the market via manipulation.

I think a lot of pump dump groups start off like this, think the recipe works and then try set up their own groups to do that on larger scales.

Not healthy for the market long term. I personally find it distasteful. But hey, it's a free society.
15914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: HACKED PLS HELP on: April 10, 2018, 10:52:21 AM
Something still doesn't match up. If you had 2FA enabled, especially, then either the hacker has control of your 2FA device, or he managed to login (or stay logged in for a time), or he already has access to Cryptopia internally.

What's also strange is those 143 withdrawals in 2 days. That's a lot of 2fa confirmations if all of that came from cryptopia, and it should have somehow flagged their system too. Probably coincidence of 143 withdrawals for 14.3 BTC but usually these coincidences aren't.

That's really tough you can't do anything about it except lodge a report with law enforcement as bob123 suggests. That should assist with getting forensics from Cryptopia. Don't want to wet the blanket but don't expect anything from here though.
15915  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pornhub Casino now accepting bitcoin and many other cryptocurrency! ph.casino on: April 10, 2018, 09:38:08 AM
The operator of pornhubcasino.com is Usoftgaming N.V. incorporated in Curacao.

The operator of pornhub.com is unknown.
As far as I know they're run by a company located in Luxembourg : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MindGeek Their operations are pretty transparent and their headquarters are  located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

If you still wish to dig into the details, you can google for this dude who started the parent company : Fabian Thylmann
However,I still couldn't find any relation between the gambling site and them.

Neither could I. Trawled through the official Pornhub blog and the casino doesn't come up, so am pretty sure they're not affiliated. Discussions since 2016 also don't appear to link them, though it seems strange no one asked.

As pointed out above, combining two of the biggest online industries would appear to make commercial sense, though I can imagine the complications of regulatory compliance. Hard enough for one or the other.

Thia casino isn't a true Bitcoin casino either, since you sti have to withdraw in fiat. Pass.
15916  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Some guy got his yobit account blocked just for saying go go coin xyz on: April 10, 2018, 07:30:26 AM
It's really hard to take sides in any of these events. It can be difficult as admin to maintain rules, especially when most of the seemingly harsh decisions are at the discretion of the many moderators, all having their own brand of justice and interpretation of the rules. And when people, usually knowingly, do things that attract that kind of attention, some get the hammer, others are luckier to escape with cautions. The lesson here is to simply never give anyone any reason to ever ban you.

I used to think that we should afford newcomers a little room. Some people simply don't get why their actions could be construed as spammy or shilly. I know when I add a new contact I have to sometimes gently tell them I don't want their unsolicited spam.
15917  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do people think that they can time the market? on: April 09, 2018, 07:14:09 PM
Same reason anyone thinks they can trade. They think of the patterns they would like the charts to show them, and then they collect enough evidence to support that pattern. Also, traders sometimes don't want to recognise that they can and usually do get lucky when "trialling" or "testing" trades. They don't realise the huge psychological influence on a learning or test trade, and when entering with actual, significant portions of portfolio balances.

A healthy recognition that we get lucky sometimes will prevent us from crediting our skill and knowledge.

The only way you can time the market is if your a whale or if you have major insider information like when roger ver knew about coinbase adding bitcoin cash.

This is also one reason now that you point it out. Some people believe they've come into first-hand information and trade on it!
15918  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to Arbitrage? on: April 09, 2018, 05:56:50 PM
Whether market is rising or falling does not matter...

I can't quite agree with that statement. In a falling market by the time I get to sell my coins, the price may have already down lower than my buying price. When the trend is upward, the risk is a lot less then.

Yes, but what if you're buying? Then the opposite is true. Arbitrage is looking at the price difference across different exchanges, regardless of market movement. For example, right now, because of recent crackdowns in India and Pakistan, Bitcoin price there is about $1,000 lower than the global average (because there's less demand, and added risk). So, whether you buy or sell, prices there are lower. In this case, arbitraging would seek to Buy from Pakistan and sell globally.

Conversely, where prices are higher, like in Zimbabwe, arbitraging seeks to buy globally and sell in Zimbabwe.
15919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: HACKED PLS HELP on: April 09, 2018, 01:55:30 PM
If you really need help, you're going to have to be a bit more detailed. Explain what happened, step by step, and what you need help with.

Did you lose control of the address you posted? Or is that where your coins went? Of it's not a wallet you own, there's no way to retrieve it. Only the owner can return them to you.

Edit: strange address. 143 txs since yesterday, all receiving, total 14.3 BTC. Looks fishy. Care to explain what happened to you and which tx relates to you?

Antonio Conte doesn't want to leave Chelsea lol. What a classy lad he is  Grin Stubborn as a mule Cheesy Does any fiat sportsbook offer prop bets on his possible sacking from the club after the season's end? Here is the source:

https://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/soccer/soccer-news/antonio-conte-slams-chelsea-flops-12328822

Quote
Conte - who last week denied he could leave in the summer - was left fuming after £58million striker Alvaro Morata twice drifted offside to have have goals chalked off.

Chelsea are really bipolar the past few seasons, and having Conte at the helm didn't seem to change things. I have a feeling Guardiola might face the same situation next season. Such is the lack of consistent dominance in the EPL!

Betfair always has these type of props. Conte's 4/7 on next manager to go. Not very attractive.
