There are many guides on the forum already regarding the best wallets and how to securely store your coins - I suggest using the search function. Also have a read of this stickied post in the Beginners & Help forum: [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?

Take any claims by McAfee with a pinch spoonful cupful bucketful of salt. He is a proven liar, scammer, con-artist and criminal, who charges $105,000 to pump-and-dump shitcoins. This phrase in particular stood out to me: "The user-created phrase is impossible for others to guess but easy for the wallet holder to memorize." This doesn't mean your wallet isn't hackable. -snip- Can you explain why the forum should be taking your advice on the trust system given that you have shown you have made no effort to read the relevant stickied posts and do not understand how it works?

But the way this forum treats "newbies" is just ugly. I though Bitcoin was about equality and transparency, but this forum is the opposite of Bitcoin. This forum is like old school bank world where cronyism is ruling.
Hey bud. You and I both registered in October last year. We are both as newbie as each other. Yet you are a Junior Member with 3 merit, and I'm a Senior Member with >300. Maybe the problem isn't with the system, but with you? Certainly going around calling people assholes and cunts probably isn't the best way to earn merit or establish a positive reputation.

E.g. OgNasty is DT1, and has posted in this thread. But of the 5 DT members that have tagged digaran, OgNasty has none of them on his trust list.

currently DT1 members are doing whatever they want and their actions are left unpunished. Have you PMed the DT1 members yet?

Of course it will. Until we get more fiat/altcoin pairings, the whole market generally follows Bitcoin - if Bitcoin gets hacked, everything dips. You can already see red across the board if you go to coinmarketcap right now.
Uhmmm, the thing is bitcoin is always going to be at the top as it is the main cryptocurrency. In order to get into other cryptos you need to buy bitcoins first thus raising it's dominance, in order to get out you need to sell alts for btc. Thus bitcoin price will always affect crypto price While this is true at the moment, it won't always be the case. With more exchanges like Binance and COSS starting to introduce buying alts directly with fiat, you won't always have to buy Bitcoin first.

Here's an even better tool for checking for homographs: https://www.textmagic.com/free-tools/unicode-detectorJust copy and paste the text in, and any Unicode character will be highlighted in red. If you suspect someone of using homograph plagiarism, you can go their profile and copy in an entire page of recent posts to check them all in about 10 seconds.

if you understand how the network works and what it will be able to do in the future, then you would have already started to buy EOS coins now because otherwise you just will be late.
If you understood that their network gives a handful of people the power to freeze accounts, cancel transactions and confiscate tokens, you wouldn't invest at all. EOS might as well be a centralized bank.

This is what cryptocurrency projects need. REAL WORLD INTEGRATION. Until majority of the crypto projects realize this, crypto will not mature and will remain silo-ed in their own little crypto bubbles. I have become a convert and now support Verge. Absolutely crypto needs real world integration, but Verge is definitely not it. Even ignoring the fact that devs are clueless and the coin is hacked more regularly than most people change their socks, I would hardly call some tiny start-up selling a very niche product "real world integration". When you compare it to the likes of VeChain, for example, that is partnered with Kuehne + Nagel, BMW, PwC, DNV and others, Verge is laughable.

maybe that's not the only reason john mcafee to stop promoting ico because it's risking his reputation What reputation? His reputation as a scammer and con-artist? More likely he's just made enough money for now - he was charging $105,000 per tweet. No doubt he'll be back with another shady as hell scheme in a few months when the money runs out again.

Note that 2 posters above are blatant supporters of a known trust abuser we know by the name "actmyname" I have also seen bill gator to be a bootlicker of Blazed. shame on you guys, not only you are siding with real scammers but you are trying to attack me in order to hide the truth, the fact still remains, actmyname has a habit of providing a way out for scammers by using positive/negative trust feedbacks. now go do more bootlicking @The Pharmacist and bill gator.
Another two names to add to the list! At this point it might be easier if you just tell us who isn't part of your imaginary mafia/cartel/underground-abuser-network/scammers-extordinaire/bootlickers-anonymous?

Don't forget that BNB has an actual use - that is, to decrease the fees traders pay on Binance - which is a lot more than can be said of a lot of other top coins. There are coins with several billion dollars more in market cap that don't even have a functioning product or mainnet yet.

Although we like the notion of a free and open technology, in reality, it slows down development and raises costs. EOS is anything but free and open though. Its Block Producers have the power to freeze accounts, reverse transactions and confiscate tokens. Why would anyone choose to invest in it knowing that?
|
|
|
This would be the same JP Morgan that spreads FUD about crypto, waits for the price to fall, and then buys millions of dollars worth.
Chronic manipulators, can't be trusted.

TLDR, Quote? "I agree with Dan, we should just print tokens" "I suggest "issuing" and not "printing" as a better vocabulary, especially given the sensitivity around the subject." "Agreed, I think the wording "print vs. issue" for optics the word "issuing" should be used for the global message."
Let's not forget that the EOS constitution also gives the Block Producers the power to freeze your account, close your account, reverse your transactions, and fine or confiscate your tokens. It's worse than a fiat bank.

Have a read of this chat log from the EOS Block Producer Telegram: https://pastebin.com/wD7V4EU5Pay special attention to the part where they agree to just print more tokens for themselves as needed. Why would anyone with any sense invest in EOS?
