Ordering the s17 for dec may be smart to do if trump taxes are ended it becomes a very good deal to buy one.
15962  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 18, 2019, 12:17:51 AM
Well the reference price is a new idea.

Last week they had a stupid high price 3200 or 3300 for it.

The 2544 is much better for the s17e

2544/64 = 39.75

2107/53 = 39.75.  S17.

Both are good numbers it is the lessor efficient model.

But this is an insurance policy for a miner.

Buy an s17 for 2107. The price will not go up.

But if conditions change they will issue a coupon to make up for it.

So if the m20 is dropping and lots of other gear is dropping in price.

You may get a four or five hundred dollar coupon for more gear.

No one else is offering this preorder insurance.

I see it as a direct attack on Whatsminer gear. Since most of the gear is priced out to Jan.
I also see it as an attack against the innosilicon t3 50t which is now promised to ship under 8 days.
15963  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 17, 2019, 11:42:05 PM
what's the price limit to avoid tariff?

These are trump tax 800 is the cut off.

I will soon see this as my s9 order is 798 usd
15964  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 17, 2019, 10:56:24 PM
well I have staggered orders

inno for aug------------50t came on sept 12th
bitmain for sept--------56th due sept 20-30
avalon for oct-----------106th due oct
bitmain for nov--------- 106th due nov

I am not sure I need to add for dec.
15965  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 17, 2019, 09:43:29 PM
S17e on bitmain at a bargain price of 2544

https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=00020190917150939672JFWahe97068C

it is a reference price ie can only go lower when it sells quote is from link above.

"1. The product price indicated on this page (hereinafter referred to as the “Product Reference Price”) is only the reference price. The actual transaction price of the product (hereinafter referred to as the “Actual Transaction Price”) is determined by us according to the market conditions before the delivery of the product. We promise that the Actual Transaction Price of the product does not exceed the Product Reference Price."

It is a good deal?

they also are doing the s17pro  at 2107

is this a way to cut whatsminer's to ribbons?
15966  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 1 240V 30 AMP circuit: Can I do 3 Antminer S9's and 1 S17 on this circuit safely on: September 17, 2019, 09:42:34 PM
You can not do it.

you could most likely do 2 s9's and 1 s17.  Depends on your voltage.

  ie 208 maybe
220 to 230 most likely
 240 yes  almost certain

1200+1200+2225 = 4625/208 = 22.24 amps which is borderline

4625/240 = 19.27 amps = no issue

I had the person that mines at slush answer they said no.
I had the person that mines at viabtc answer they said no.
The third person I asked has not replied to me. I guess they are the one that mines with Kano.

I went to the site signed up look at all the rules Regulations etc.

I will not take them up on the offer as I mine btc and ltc. This pool only has btc.

I dont want to have an extra pool to track.

I wish them the best of luck.

I am going to stick with viabtc for the moment.
15968  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon t3 50 arrived. on: September 17, 2019, 03:40:47 PM
Yeah cheap power is nice but three partners is hard. I have to think of them.
15969  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NovaBlock, The Most Profitable Mining Pool on: September 17, 2019, 03:35:43 PM
I was offered free mining for 1 month.
I was also told I could offer this some forum members.
I offered it to three people.

One declined.
Two have yet to answer me.

Although one the three most likely told you I asked them.

Frankly for me if I move my gear to them it saves me 12 dollars a day.

Or 360 dollars.

I may or may not do this.

I don’t know where the people I asked mine.
I will also not mention which three people I asked.
Since that is a pm discussion.

I am not sure I want to mine with this company or continue with viabtc.
15970  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon t3 50 arrived. on: September 17, 2019, 12:19:04 PM
My T3-50's are up and after a couple of hours are running on default settings @ 50T with +/- fluctuations of only 1%

They are in a datacenter though so probably have better cooling available to them than where Phil has his.

yep  my inno's run in  a 90f space they have filtered air,  but the room is always 80f to 95f.

At factory+  it has been doing 51th.

I have no issues for it at factory+

But it is so far off spec on low setting I find it annoying to say the least.

40t  and  2460 watts is simply not close at all to 33t and 1650 watts.

To put it simply  when it roi's down the road and the ˝ ing comes around  the option to drop it to  33t and 1650 watts does not exist. They advertised  that it could do that.
So come may of 2020  it will be an issue.

They also advertised it would ship in August it shipped on the 9th of sept.

I think  one problem with mining is the now mentally   So who cares if it  won't downclock in May of 2020  that is far off.  Okay  you could be right may not be a problem in may of 2020.  but shipping 9 days late  was now and that was 100usd in coins.  They did not offer a refund of that or even a coupon.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5185022.0  I asked for a coupon  for make up for the 2 advertising wrongs  and offered to buy more gear.

which means I don't hate the gear. (I don't like their advertising)  2 fails  one fail for now and one for later.

Look mining is a business  we all try to do what is best for our ownself  and maybe for others.

I would buy one from them if they gave me a coupon to make up for late shipping and for bad downclocking.

The gear to me is worth  about 1600 not the 2100 they are now asking.  It they had shipping on time  I would ask to pay 1700 or 1800 for one in 7 days.  not the 2100 they are asking.
15971  Other / Meta / Re: The end of an era for me: Leaving Signature Campaign on: September 17, 2019, 04:09:49 AM
To op thank you for the thread. I ended my signature participation years ago.

I did do a free promo for simplemining and for Avalon a841 but ended that a while ago.

My signature now simply states what I think about all cryptocoins.

As for having to post well not much of a problem I averaged 375 posts a month since 2012 which is more then 30000 posts since I started.

I think 🤔 I was paid for 2014 to 2016 Maybe 3 years

Please make sure your farm use proper cooling, dust filter and 16A AC cable to meet the proper operating condition requirements.
Humidity <75%, AC voltage 210~240V, Power supply AC input current 16A, dust <0.5 Mg/m3."

my t3+50t

came late  around 10 days  cost me   over 100 usd in mining.
my unit  does  40t and 2460 on low watt setting not your advertised 33t and 1650 watts

that said I would buy another one  if you give me a proper coupon to make up for this.
15973  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 300 s17 Pro 50T - Ships from US end of September on: September 16, 2019, 03:09:57 AM
If you send from US warehouse, then I assume that you would be paying the tax bill (currently 27.6% to US AFAIK) and I am not going to be stuck with it.
Please elaborate.

those m20s look pretty good  if the trump tax is taken care of.

but the moq of 5 comes to 16500 plus 250 to ship = 16750

I am not sure I want to send that much btc to an unknown.

still it comes to 340th around 50 a th.

9 bitmain t17 =  9 x 1145  = 10305  plus trump tax plus shipping say  13149 and 1000 to ship

cost is 14149  for 342 th

close  to a tie if op is good.  since the bitmain comes nov 20  and these come say oct 24-31

I will mull this over.

I got that payment my fear is I won't get the next ones.

Edit  In theory I may get them  since they are lower then 0.001

The 20th payment seems to have already disbursed. Did yo see any payment on Monday, September 2, 2019.?

https://blog.nicehash.com/post/twentieth-reimbursement-of-the-repayment-program

You should open a support ticket with them for records.

"...Repayment program for external wallet users

Users who were not registered with NiceHash at the time of the attack and were using the NiceHash service with their external wallet address are also included in the Repayment program. External wallet users can go to the following page and enter their external wallet address (that they were using at the time of the attack) to see their old balance and monitor the repayment progress. NiceHash will reimburse one percent of the old balance to external wallet users on Monday, September 2, 2019.

Seventy-eight percent of the old balance amount was already reimbursed under "Reimbursed pending". Conditions for payment to external wallet addresses do apply to the Repayment program! When you reach 0.001 BTC you are eligible for payment. NiceHash is including your unpaid balance in this amount. For example, if your old balance (that is going to be reimbursed) is 0.0009 BTC, you still have to mine an additional 0.0001 BTC (shown as unpaid balance) to this external wallet address so you reach the payment threshold of 0.001 BTC in total (reimbursed pending + unpaid balance). Once the combined balance shows 0.001 BTC, payment will be made to your external wallet address. NiceHash will only reimburse the funds to the addresses that were in use at the time of the attack. NiceHash cannot repay to any other wallet address as we do not have a KYC process for external wallet users...."

No does not help
My three addresses were not assigned to me my,old nicehash address is empty.

Those addresses were put in by me I have full control of them.  It is not much money about 0.0155 btc is under 200 usd but they seem to have vanished those balances.

If I pick any of those addresses and mine to them I do not see that old stolen balance anymore.
I do see current mining but that is it.

I created a new account under the new platform and there are some info on the old balance blah blah blah.

Hope it helps.

15975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin get banned worldwide? on: September 16, 2019, 02:05:31 AM
Bitcoin, the crypto currency, has become huge in popularity over the recent years.

One of the main features i like about bitcoins is its transactions are anonymous. But that makes me wonder if a time will come when it will be banned worlwide. It has started in many countries.

Yeah right like in France and Portugal (Not)
 News on France
https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/france-will-not-tax-crypto-to-crypto-trades-but-will-tax-gains-if-converted-to-cash-fiat/
News on Portugal
https://coingeek.com/portugal-re-asserts-no-crypto-taxes-here/

They both decided to allow full trading of any coin to coin with no taxes or reporting.

Pretty much the exact opposite of what  you are asking.

Knowing humanity  I can see a spilt and some nations  will go all out to protect while others will go all out to attack it.

What I can not see is all nations agreeing to ban it.
15976  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: September 16, 2019, 01:38:56 AM
Top speed
Middle speed
Low speed

All tested and failed?

May as well attempt it at all three speed settings.

I only have one of them it is set to middle speed and is flawless.

If it fails on all three speeds.

Swap the psu with one of your good units .

See if problem follows psu.
15977  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Learn from my mistake (load balancing) on: September 15, 2019, 11:31:14 PM
Well that was the mystery since it did not attach to any meter in the apartment building.

And it did not attach to the main transformer on the street.

NYC is pretty old not crazy old links Europe cities or some Chinese cities.

So it does have some hidden spots. We were a mile from a large con-Ed power plant maybe the wire tapped into an underground cable. I  will never know but I do wonder about it every once in a while since it was a pretty cool mystery and in my favor.😁
15978  Other / Meta / Re: Is Satoshi dead? Will the inner-gang come forward? on: September 15, 2019, 07:53:56 PM
That'd be nearly impossible to do. If you cycle your cash regularly, it's impossible to tell if the coins were actually spent or just sent to another hot wallet.
Satoshi's coins are untouched, see "https://www.blockchain.com/btc/block/00000000408c48f847aa786c2268fc3e6ec2af68e8468a34a28c61b7f1de0dc6" and click "Next Block" for a few hours.

How do you tell the difference between Satoshi's stash, early mining competition, and later Satoshi mining operations?

The first 20000+ blocks are not cashed out. More then 1,000,000 coins

Type in https://blockchain.com/btc/block-height/20009

You only need change the block number on the end to look at every block from 1 to current

yep i swapped usb cords as well. tried the other 4 different pci-e slots . THe risers were not used for a year - would that cause risers to go bad? all hardware was working and mining before for 6 months straight with no issues. The GPU's definately work as i plug them directly into the mobo pci-e 3x16 slot. the difference is i installed a new ssd and fresh windows 10 pro install. the GPU is detected in device manager, afterburner, GPU-Z, HW monitor. the weird thing is sometimes it appears fine, but 15 mins or 30 mins later (there doesnt appear to be any pattern as to when it turns off) its liek the GPU goes into sleep mode - 0% TDP, 0C temp, afterburner settings grayed out and unadjustable. so i am suspecting windows 10 pro or perhaps a bios setting. i may do a fresh install again to see if that fixes it.

mobo is asrock ab350 fatal1ty

Try another ssd it could be bad.
