161  Economy / Speculation / Re: call an end to the rally on: May 13, 2011, 06:01:09 PM
Ok, my prediction was exceeded by today's spike and my order was filled, but if it falls from here, I will call my prediction accurate.  If not, oops!

you still waiting on a drop (which might still happen) to buy back in? or did you take a loss and just buy back higher to be safe?

just curious  Tongue

did the market just outgrow our little community very very quickly?

a simple DDoS and 95% of bitcoin trades freeze, it is a good way to drive prices down, investors will see our amateur level operations and wait a while  Grin Grin Grin

maybe its the wake up call we need. were not ready for the world to join in yet.

ah the mysterious first generation miners, are they over the moon with joy today? or are some of them on suicide watch after the recent rally's since they sold 500k BTC for a pencil...
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis on: April 30, 2011, 05:43:19 PM
moa got it right i think, were in uncharted territory here, alot of these buyers might never have even known what a bitcoin was two weeks ago, its not like a normal market in that sense. maybe the new price is normal given the new amount of people that know about it, the old growth estimate just got the increased awareness wrong?, its like finding a new packed continent on earth and the people have never heard of gold and now they want to buy... that may just mess up your projections,

or maybe not since i'm just a twit thinking out loud Cheesy

He just will sell at $5 or higher.

has this happened before?

if not the rally may not be over, or even close to slowing down, maybe the market could outgrow what mt. gox can handle?  Shocked
168  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5970 vrm temperatures :S on: April 26, 2011, 09:26:41 PM
i have 2 5970's watercooled, vrms stay in the 70's with cores running at 965mhz @ 1187mv

getting 1440000 khps over the 4 cores

Ok, here we're talking about cheapest 5970 solution for mining, so this means stock cooling.
Ktnx for ur braggin', can I show my middle finger against this watercooling compared to mine dual-water cooled data center with dedicated 4 power generators?

he didn't mention anything about wanting information on cheap options, I am only offering accurate information. if i had just said 70, i think there would have been follow up questions.

I had to give all the information for a complete answer, the mhz + voltage  + cooling method all created the vrm temp, for example I could get vrm's in the 50's if i run at stock speed.

cheers for the random hostility though.

As Jim Rogers says, "I'll sell, and then it will double again!  And I'm one of the bulls!"

Here I am holding cash  Cry Cry Cry

think about the dudes that just bailed out selling down to $.50 very recently  Shocked

And panic selling ensues..  (*sigh of relief)

I'll be at the bottom to mop it up..

I dont even know if its over  Shocked I bet you would feel better with some high volume selling resistance  between here and $2, cause right now somebody buys $5(hehe ;P) worth and were back at $2 again

There's about $2500 USD worth the visible asks to blow through to reach $2... a bit more than $5.  There is similar pressure on the buying side though, so I expect it to sit for a while around 1.7-1.8 before deciding where to go.

the $5 figure was obviously(i thought) a joke, i just meant relatively low compared to the volume of trades that have been happening lately. and not enough on its own to stop it reaching $2

it hit $1.6, thats very close to parity with GBP now, would need to hit about $1.65 though, could that get some mainstream attention in the uk? or at least a mention here and there  Tongue
