161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 16, 2017, 06:29:33 PM

Being cheaply priced won't help the coin long term, apart from the low price I haven't seen anything about this coin that would make it a worthy long term investment. I've seen other cheap coins that at least had something that made them stand out but with ECC I see nothing special so far.

Says the guy with 3 posts who registered on June 8   Grin Grin Grin

Why don't you browse this thread and find out why it has such strong interest & potential?

Yet you have absolutely nothing to counter his point.

Everybody comes here and makes the question: what's good about this coin.

Nobody has a single fuckin answer, not one, just "great developer".

What did the developer do?

Write one post in very poor english where he doesn't even specify where's ECC heading.

Do you even guys understand how comparable services work? Like Sia?

The fact that this coint is worth 1-100-1000-1000000 satoshis is close to meaningless to anybody apart the investor.

The real case use is a renter that says "what is the best storage I can use, how much I'm gonna pay for the bandwidth, how much I'm gonna pay for the storage, ecc, ecc"?

If you go on siahub:

http://siahub.info/

You can see the prices for hosting files on a much more mature network and a much more developed coin.

The price of sia is absolutely meaningless as well to anybody by the investors.

It's the hosts that set the prices, collateral and bandwidth. Sia can double the price, it doesn't matter, hosts will compete by lowering the fees.

You guys here provide no information, no value to the discussion, you have absolutely no argument to explain why this coin's good at all.

99 % you bought at the peak and now are desperately trying to motivate people to bail you out.

Meanwhile there's absolutely no discussion on the technology that ECC provides or how it distinguishes from other similar coins like storj or sia.

Great developer? Who is he? Name? What are his credentials. More serious coins have entire development teams, roadmaps, here? I can see nothing. There is barely a functioning wallet.

Keep begging everywhere (where you the guy on the trollbox slack trying to pump ecc?) so people buy it.

Come at me next month and say that ECC doubled it's value, you'll still miss all of my previous points. Wish you at least to make some money with it. Bye.

163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: June 16, 2017, 05:36:00 PM
Let's say I want to give some of my free space on HDD.

What is the uptime requirement?

I understand there's a 2000 collaterel, e.g., but there's no chance in hell I'm gonna host files on sia network and lose all of my monthly revenue and collateral if I have half a day of internet problems.

I am pretty sure the up time requirement is greater than 99%. This should only be done on a machine that is up all the time basically.

Then this coin is bullshit and nobody's gonna let others store files on it Wink

Amazon standard has a 25 % refund policy under 98% of uptime. If you do the math, with 2000 sia collateral, on a 6-7 Terabyte hosting I'm gonna lose more than I make if I failt to keep 98% uptime.

And amazon can offer a very high uptime thanks to multiple nodes across the US.

Still even Amazon has major disruptions of service. Still remember many websites not working this february across the globe (including github).

https://aws.amazon.com/it/message/41926/

So now, tell me, do you really think I'm gonna lose 2000 sia of collateral because I have half an afternoon of power or internet problem to host somebody's files on my pc?

No. Fuckin. Way.

2000 of a collateral is much too higher of a price.

I obviously understand the point of the collateral, but there's basically nobody in this forum that can guarantee a 98%+ uptime a month for an entire year.
164  Local / Alt-Currencies (Italiano) / Re: ETC vs ETH on: June 16, 2017, 04:53:57 PM
Io avrei un'altra domanda invece:

se come exchange uso coinbase e posso minare direttamente eth nel wallet da pool, se volessi fare lo stesso con etc dovrei utilizzare un altro exchange? Avete consigli in merito?

165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: June 16, 2017, 04:48:48 PM
Last answer means: nothing.

This coin does not stand out in any way from a technological point of view.

People do not realize that some of us are interested in the real use and technology behind a coin, not just the price.

Some other just want to speculate and push you to buy so they can dump on you.

That's the truth.

If you read the message history of people hyping this coin you may get the idea of who's trying to hype it Wink

And those that are not new you can see a similar pattern on previous shitcoins they tried to pump in the past and now are basically abandoned.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Every ICO can F*ck off, especially SONM. on: June 16, 2017, 04:43:47 PM
True.
Its hard to judge because there hasn't been anything like this since the dotcom bubble in the 90's
I believe it was about five or six years before everything started to fall apart (1994 to just after 2000 before a lot of big companies went bankrupt)
maybe someone can provide a more accurate timeline on this.

but the dotcom bubble was based on actual functioning companies, even if they were crappy ones. they had employees, products, services, serious investors and even customers and actual utility. that all takes real time to screw up and die.

icos are dust built on even more dust. their 'bedrocks' are nothing than speculative playthings, let alone their ico offshoots. even bitcoin has a long, long way to go before it's anything more than speculation.

During 2000–2002, the bubble collapsed. Some companies, such as Pets.com and Webvan, failed completely and shut down. Others, such as Cisco, whose stock declined by 86%, and Qualcomm, lost a large portion of their market capitalization but survived, and some companies, such as eBay and Amazon.com, later recovered and surpassed their dot-com-bubble stock price peaks.[2]

See BTC as the ebay or amazon, they surpassed their dot-com bubble peak by more then 100 times.

Unless the bubble has yet to come Wink
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin will boom in poloniex and Bittrex Next ? (Short Term Boom) on: June 16, 2017, 04:42:30 PM
As first reply said 99 % of people giving you advices (okay, maybe a bit less) can't wait for rising prices so they can dump their coins they bought for less and cash in.

Go on most shitcoins threads and you'll see plenty of:

"omg, this coin so cheap, buy! I just bought more, this coin is so good, so innovative!"

Then you ask "what problems this coin solves that other coins do not?"

And they will give you answers like:

"I know developer, they so active, this coin going big, like 100x, buy now or regreat, I just bought 2000 more".

Whoever really believes in a coin and has enough funds hopes nothing but for a dip so he can accumulate more Wink

Don't trust the internet.

On a side note, buy some CreditBits, it has 10x potential.

What's bios mod?

Did you strap 1625 timings into 1750?
171  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you in favor of same sex marriage? on: June 15, 2017, 06:37:18 PM
I have made my opinion clear on this issue many times in the past. I don't support and I won't support gay marriage. As long as the gay couples don't want to remain loyal to their spouses, gay marriage is out of question. An average gay individual is having 10 to 100 homosexual partners in his life time, and normally he doesn't stay loyal to any of them.

How's that a concern to you?

This ain't your problem, lol.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Cheapest cpu+mobo combo for 4 gpu rig? on: June 15, 2017, 03:34:52 PM
I got my hands on 4 cheap 470s (used).

I want to build a 4 gpu rig, but I'm interested into the cheapest option.

I'm often confused about which motherboards are better for multi gpu.

I'm not interested in those BTC boards (they are rather cheap tho), but I'd like to cut the expenses even more.

Any good recommendation?

I could even try to look for some used motherboards+cpu combinations but I don't exactly now which specs I need to check on producers page (I get confused with all the pci, pci-e, ecc specifications).

The main goal! To be successful and innovative project in the crypto currency market!

Innovative how?

That's my question.

As Jim Jeffries beautifully pointed:

"If you're against gay marriage, don't fuckin marry another man! Easy as that!".

Ofc I'm all in favor.

I have more doubts on lgbt adoptions tho, I'd like to see some scientific research, psychologists, ecc make a large study about it and the consequences on the kid.

While I've no doubt that it really depends on what kind of human beings the parents are rather than their sexual orientation, I still want to see some science..

what is the main goal for this coin?

and how it differentiates from different coins?

The world seems to progress towards real use of the blockchain, there's already plenty of coins around, what's good about cache?

Clean code doesn't seem as a valid answer to me.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I feel that I screwed the pooch on the best crypto boom we'll ever get on: June 15, 2017, 10:23:27 AM
Even in standard financial world it's rare that somebody beats the market every year.

Don't beat yourself over.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Price Drop, is no-one worried? on: June 15, 2017, 10:20:29 AM
No why would we be worried?

Bitcoin has gone through several crashes and devaluations.

If you people think crypto will become bigger everyday you're in for a bad time.

Rough days, even weeks or months are normal in financial world, even more on such a speculated market like crypto.
179  Local / Alt-Currencies (Italiano) / Re: ETC vs ETH on: June 14, 2017, 08:13:59 PM

180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I include my portfolio to hold for 5years? on: June 14, 2017, 08:08:14 PM
25% SIA (good chance to 10-50X)
Statements like this make it extremely clear you guys are trading in stuff you don't understand at all.
