Is there any information available on setting up a pool for xmg mining?
Depending on what sort of pool you want to setup, all lot of info is available on github pages of for example mpos and unomp. Takes a little knowledge of coding and time to test and setup. It's no plug and play software like you can download from Google play.

There are a few raised concern regarding the new wallet, but I'll keep a rely to all here.
The big rewards does sound coming out the way that appears uncommon. Following my prior post about overhash things, additionally I do need to reassure we're going the right direction. We need a reasonable hashrate estimate, and the PoW / PoS rule has been going the way affecting how difficulty is being adjusted. I'll need a better handling, or put it the way being trivial to the block time.
At this moment I wouldn't agree with the conclusion based on what we thought; there are no special things that rule out the smaller pools except this first thing came out with the big rewards. Anyways, let me give updates on the correct network hashrate calculation and how to take actions on correcting the block reward likely in this weekend (need get my work stuffs sorted out as the first high priority).
Here what we have regarding the mining; the pools with higher hashrate have the higher probability of finding blocks, or can find more blocks than the smaller scale pools; those blocks found include those accepted and rejected (PoW general rule). This means when smaller pool gets blocks rejected; the big pools should get even more blocks rejected; doesn't make sense the other way around.
There are causes like the big miners coming along that would lead to difficulties in finding blocks; this can be reasonable since the block reward gets high, and also we get back on normal functions with more open pools (like zpool is up but not in the maintenance mode).
Edit: Just spotted the block rewards drop down to ~2 XMG; will check on the things anyways. I also suggest pools monitor the blocks to get some average values over days. Feel free to post here what you get.
Do still think something changed since last update. Running a pool with abt 1.5MH/s it has now been 3500 block since last block found. It takes abt 15 seconds (sometimes 30) after the second PoS block generated for pools like Zpool or Minerclaim to take the next PoW block. Currently have like 550.000 share and still no block created. Did create 1 orphan abt 14hrs ago. Rest I have 5 errors that block not accepted as it was in between PoS and PoW block rule.

Seeing quite a lot of transactions towards bittrex. So take it that things work there.

Have send them a email... will be ok.
In the meantime, does anyone know if Suprnova will come online again? Still have some XMG laying about there.

That is true, of course. But compared to not finding any blocks at all is just burning clouds.

Are you sure? In the past I earned 10 XMG a day, last period less than 1 XMG a day, now I earn 15 XMG a day, with 200 Kh/s. I guess it works perfectly, again. Or do you mean big miners earn less after last update?
What I meant is that on our pool (Pool42), we earn way less blocks than we used to be. It has been 12 hours and we only earned a single block. Let's make it per day and we get 2 blocks per day. Back then when it was on the temp fix, I used to earn between 6 & 10 XMG per day with the pool being at the same hashrate as now. Now, I earn 4 to 5 XMG per day. This is naturally the same for our miners. We may have larger blocks, but they became rare. The only thing that I noticed, is that with current difficulty it is hard for a pool with let's say abt 500Kh - 800 Kh/s to even find 1 block. Before the fix we could find at least 2-3 blocks a day. Now it's taking more then 1 day even to find a block. I can see few blocks, but not accepted due to new PoS / PoW rule. And when 2 PoS blocks have past it's (pretty much) always the high hashrate pools taking the next PoW block

Great... Lost 600 XMG was send to Nova before fork...
|
|
|
Well, Only thing I can see, is that pretty much all blocks go to big hashing pools now. To Minerclaim, Zpool, and POM
Minerclain has 50 MH/s Zpool has 35 MH/s and POM 16
It makes it close to impossible for pools running lower Hashrates to even find one block on new rules I'm afraid. After each PoW block we need to await 2 PoS blocks now...

Have had nasty mysql crash. Balances, shares etc have been cleared. Have made manual payments to all users with active balance before. Trust all received in order?
Edward
Yes. I've received the manual payout . I'll move my CPU power to your pool again at the end of the week. That would be great. Thanks for the support again.

Where are those magi?
One is created block. The 9.80 is payout to users.

I can't use blockchain of Poolinfo on Windows, anyone has a more up-to-date chain zip?
Why can't you use that on windows? Any error messages available so we can sort out that issue? yah i get the same thing it errors on startup something about the database and says delete all in folder except wallet the one thats 275 days old that joe linked on the magi website works so just downloading blocks with that one If that happen you could just copy the blocks folder and let the database be recreated from the blockfiles Indeed. Now working. Cheers

Pool is up and running again. Cleared all orphans due to chain issues last night. All should be ok again. Happy mining!!!
