High profile ICOs are easily spread out in the community through crypto celebrities and social media. DADI project is a good recent example.

Most of the forked coins (except Bitcoin Cash) are so-called "air coins" and don't have much community support or development force. Investing in such coins is highly risky and are not meant for small individual investors.

I would pass any ICO or altcoins which couldn't afford some basic marketing. I won't mind miss a gem because of this principal. There are just too many altcoins out there.

Unfortunately yes. It's so hard to get merit that I may give it up on day.

The rise of altcoins is unstoppable in the long term. It may reach 70% of crypto market cap in 6 months.
